Standing in the living room, I looked at the powerful group in front of me. Upon meeting the team, I've learnt that Simon loves to cuddle Daniel, Jacob and Rebekah have a very weird relationship, Shaw doesn't really show much emotions and the keeper is a small silent man with beautiful brown eyes that oddly enough reminds me of my long lost love

Ever since we arrived at the pack house, Samson has yet to leave my side. I find it endearing that he wants to follow me everywhere and wants to imitate some of my actions. It's quite adorable

Wanting to see to his son's safety, Ben excused himself and walked off to his children's rooms. There was an emergency in the pack hospital so Naomi ran over to help her mate, Dr. Amos Winters; one of my close friends. Now it was just me and this supernatural squad

"My brother, Michael will show you to your rooms. He'll be here shortly" I smiled

Simon and Daniel weren't listening as they were flirting shamelessly with each other. Jacob was looking around the living room...well looking at all the pictures around the room with Rebekah in his arms. I noticed how he has his arms protectively around her waist with his hand securely on her belly. Looks like someone is carrying a pup...or two

Shaw gave me a curt nod and observed his surroundings. I guess some people just don't know how to relax.

My eyes subconsciously moved to the keeper. He stood in a military stance much like Shaw but he looked more relaxed. His eyes were downcast and I don't know how but I feel like he was nervous. I want to walk over to him and comfort him and what confused me more was that my wolf agreed with that train of thoughts. What's going on with me?

Michael I called out through the mind link

I'm almost there

I sighed and relaxed a bit. Heavy footsteps could be heard running towards us. I smiled when my brother walked in, sweating and panting. Where did he run from?

"Sorry, I was in the gym. Lost track of time and...I realise you don't care where I was. Did you need me brother?" He chuckled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck

I chuckled and shook my head. He's such a goofball. I nodded and gestured to our guest. His eyes widened when he felt the waves of power flowing from 5 members of the small group. He lowered his head and bared his neck in a sign of submission

"At ease pup" Shaw's powerful voice ran through the room, making my brother whimper and my wolf squirm.

I heard a small sigh before Shaw nodded and placed his arms around the keeper's shoulder, pulling him closer to his big body. My wolf growled at the close proximity of their bodies but I reined him in and scolded him before smiling at Shaw

"This is my little brother Michael. Michael, this is Onyx, he is the keeper and beside him is Shaw; the leader of the group and the members are Rebekah and Simon"

Simon smiled and introduced his mate. You could feel the pride he has for having Daniel as a mate whenever he so much as mentions his name. When looking at the couple, you could see the love and contentment they have in their relationship.

Jacob smiled and introduced himself seeing as Rebekah made no move to do it herself.

Michael nodded and gestured for the small group to follow him upstairs where he was going to show them their rooms. Samson was glued to my side until the keeper looked over at him. They seemed to be talking through their mind link and at that very moment I wished I could hear what they're talking about because as soon as they were finished, the keeper turned on his heels and walked away

Samson sighed, bringing my attention to him and away from the swaying hips of the keeper. What is wrong with me? This is wrong yet it doesn't feel like that

"I have to go too Papa but I'll see you after my nap, okay?"

I nodded and ruffled his hair. He beamed up at me before running up the stairs. I wonder what the keeper said to him. I ran my fingers through my hair and shrugged. I guess I'll see my son later in the day. With that in mind, I walked to my office

Andrew's POV

Shaw nodded and pulled me with him towards the stairs. I stopped in my tracks when I didn't feel Samson walking with us. Shaw looked down at me with furrowed eye brows but I just shook my head and nodded towards the stairs

Andy, what's wrong?

I shook my head and looked back at Samson standing closely with his father. They look so much alike that it hurts my heart but makes it swell with pride at the same time. I felt Shaw tighten his arms around me gaining my attention

Andy, don't go there. He's your past. You're inviting pain into your heart

I frowned and moved away from him

I know...I'm a big boy Gabe, I can take care of myself and if I stumble, I got you guys to help me steady myself but for now, give me space to breathe

He nodded and looked back at the father and son before sighing and walking away to meet up with the others. I walked up to my son and my mate before opening my mind up to my son

Sammy baby, we have to go. You'll be feeling the effects later if you don't at least get a couple of minutes shut eye. An hour tops

I smiled even though he couldn't see it. He snapped his eyes towards me and I could see the growing disappointment of leaving his father in his beautiful light blue eyes. He shook his head and pouted

Mama please He whined

Sammy baby walk now

I sighed and nodded his head slowly, giving me his puppy eyes but I turned away before I could give in. I heard him say bye to his father before running up the stairs to me. When he reached me, he grabbed hold of my hand and brought it over his shoulder before snuggling into my side

I looked down at him and smiled. I leaned down and kissed the top of his head which made him look up at me with a huge smile

"I'm sorry about taking you away from your father" I gave him my sad eyes

He always puts up less of a fight when I give him my sad eyes. He may have his puppy eyes but my sad eyes works on everyone I know...especially my son and papa. He shrugged and stood up straight and kissed my cheek

"Its okay mama" He whispered so only I could hear

I smiled and tightened my arms around him

"Great, lets' go, maybe later I could show you my old bedroom"

He nodded vigorously before taking my hand and dragging me to where Michael was. Michael looked down at my son and smiled fondly, placing his hand on Sammy's shoulder

"Ah the future Alpha, your room will be on the first floor. It's the Alpha's Suite" He said with enthusiasm

Sammy grinned and practically vibrated on his feet before turning to me

"We're gonna be in the Alpha's Suite" He squeaked

I forced down the laugh that wanted to bubble out of my throat. From the corner of my eyes I saw Michael furrow his eye brows before smiling at my son.

I don't think so I said through the mind link

Sammy stopped jumping and looked at me with confusion coating his features. He looked back at Michael and frowned.

"Where will my mo-the keeper sleep?" He asked with a blank mask

The sudden change in Sammy's emotions caught Michael off guard. The atmosphere changed from happy to tense in seconds as Sammy looked at Michael like he was the enemy. I sighed and placed my hand on my son's shoulder, causing him to relax a little

"The keeper will be staying with the rest of team Onyx and your father informed me he wants you to have a room in his suite where he knows you'd be comfortable"

Samson nodded in understanding and in that moment he looked like a mature being than a 9 year old kid. I shook my head at that. My baby is growing up way too fast.

"Where will the keeper be sleeping?"

Sammy, it is okay to follow your uncle. You go to the suite. I don't mind...really I tried but he was being stubborn

His gaze on Michael was unfaltering and I could tell by Michael's posture that he was intimidated. It showed clearly in his dark green eyes. Without averting his eyes, Michael pointed to the door beside him. Sammy nodded and walked into the room and took off his shoes before slipping under the covers

I sighed and shook my head but I couldn't help smiling at his antics. My baby is such a stubborn little monkey but I wouldn't change a thing about him. I looked up at Michael and shrugged. He looked intensely at me before shaking his head and smiling before leaving with a bow of his head

I walked into the room and took off my shoes and mask before slipping into the bed beside my baby. He moved closer to me and snuggled into my chest. I wrapped my arms around his form and pulled him closer to me

"I love you mama"

"I love you too baby. Now go to sleep my little firecracker"

He nodded and slipped into a deep sleep with me close behind him
