Matthew's POV

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair and tugged. Sweat trickled down my face and was absorbed by my grey V neck. My body ached and screamed for me to stop abusing it but there's no time for that. I need to catch these rug rats and take them upstairs for their naps before the RJAG gets here. Since they'll be helping us with our rogue problems, I better make a good first impression and having children running around, screaming, crying or just creating havoc in general is a lousy first impression

"All the ankle biters are accounted for, Alpha" My Beta, Benjamin Reed, reported behind me

I shook my head and turned to him with a tired expression. He too carried a tired expression but tried his best to cover it. He's too much like his father, Aquila Reed, for his own good. He got his dad's blonde hair which is combed back in a neat do and inherited his father's green hazel eyes.

"Not all, brother. That son of yours is nowhere to be seen!" Christian whined walking out of the kitchen. He probably came from the basement since we have to go through the kitchen to get to the basement

Unlike Benjamin, Chris is all fun and games. He's the total opposite of his brother. Where Ben has light features, Chris has dark features with his shaggy brown hair he got from his father and his dark blue eyes he got from his dad.

Ben looked at me for confirmation and I nodded in annoyance. From Ben's children, I prefer his daughter. She's obedient, intelligent and quiet girl. Now at 9 years old, she's shaping up to be the perfect Beta for when her father steps down. Mark on the other hand is a different case. Now at 6, he's caused more problems than any other pup in this pack house.

"Have you guys checked the basement?" Ben asked worried for the safety of his son

Chris nodded and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Just came back from it actually"

Ben nodded and began to think. I on the other hand sighed and closed my eyes tight. If I concentrate hard enough, I can hear all the way to the edge of the territory, I just hope Mark didn't stray that far. That's when I heard it, the giggling of a little boy and something that sounds awfully like a rabbit

"He's a mile away, south east of this location. Chris, take two warriors with you and get that boy back before he injures himself. Ben, change into something clean and get Naomi and meet me out by the driveway in 5 minutes. Also send someone to ready 2 SUVs outside, we'll need it"

Ben hesitates a bit, looking worriedly at the direction I had just said before he bites his bottom lip and runs up the stairs. I sighed and turned towards the stairs but stopped in my tracks when Chris spoke up

"You know if you keep sighing, your soul could escape you"

I chuckled and nodded

"That's the point"

He laughed and I heard him walk away from me. I ran up the stairs using my abilities to get to my bedroom faster. I need to hurry this along. I looked over at the alarm clock on my bedside table to see I have exactly 3 minutes before their plane lands. I guess I can kiss that good first impression goodbye.

I stripped and showered before slipping on my clothes; throwing on anything I get my hands on...well after giving it a smelling check; wouldn't wanna scare them away with bad odour. I wonder how they'll be what they would look like and if they're as powerful and skilful as people make them out to be

Who I am most excited to meet is the Keeper of the Onyx. People say he's power is equivalent to that of the Royal majesty and if that's true then he must be damn powerful. I'm grateful that the other teams weren't available because having the most powerful and well respected group visit your pack gives you bragging rights.

Once I'm done, I sit on my bed and slipped on my black combat boots. My eyes subconsciously move towards the bedside table, beside my alarm clock. An angel stared back at me with wide innocent brown eyes. His reddish brown hair was everywhere because of the indecisive wind that decided to blow from all directions. I remember that day like it was yesterday and not 11 years ago.

I watched as my gorgeous little mate ran around trying to catch the butterflies that fluttered around beautifully. Giggles and squeals that could only belong to him filled the peaceful afternoon air.

His jeans clung to him and showed off his bubble butt that I love so much. His shirt...my shirt was tucked into the jeans because he kept on complaining how it looked more like a dress on him then a shirt. His eyes were bright and filled with happiness, so did his expression. His hair was a mess on top of his head but it managed to make him look even cuter

His pants grew faster while his giggles slowly decreased until he stopped in front of me and made himself comfortable on my lap

"Baby, I'm tired. Feed me, please"

He looked up at me with those big chocolate eyes and I was trapped. He had me in a trance and he didn't even know it. His innocence always seems to amaze me. I leaned down and captured his red plump lips in a scorching kiss.

I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him closer to me. I relished in his moans and whimpers. His arms snaked around my neck before he began playing with the hair at the back of my head. His fingers weaved through them and he tugged slightly making me groan.

He giggled and pulled back from the kiss. His face flushed red and his minty breath caressed my face making me shiver in lust. I am so gone for this boy in my arms. Two weeks in and I'm already in love with him

"I love you" He whispered

A huge grin overtook my face and I took his face between my hands and placed a small kiss on his swollen and moist lips. He giggled and looked up at me with what I can only describe as love

"I love you too" I whispered against his lips

"Forever"

"And a day" I finished, kissing his lips again before getting my camera out and snapping a picture of my beauty

I caressed the boy's cheek and leaned down and kissed his lips through the glass of the photo frame

"I love you for forever and a day, Kai. Forever and a day" I whispered

A knock at the door took me out of my reminiscing. I quickly wiped the stray tear that cascaded down my cheek and placed the framed photo of my love on the bedside table. I stood up and walked over to the door and opened it. No one has ever been in my room since the day the love of my life left me and it will stay like that till the day I have him back in my arms

My brother, Michael looked at me and pouted while crossing his arms over his chest. Ever since his mate, Tiffany, left with our younger sister, Annie, he's been whiny and annoying but he's family and I can't really tell him to fuck off. Well I can but I know how it is when you don't have your mate by your side

"Take me with you" It didn't sound like a question but it wasn't a demand

I sighed and shook my head. I got out of my bedroom fully and locked my bedroom door behind me. I heard him give out a frustrated groan before stomping his foot childishly. I turned back to him and glared. When will Tiffany come back because babysitting children is hard as it is but babysitting her husband is just a little too much...he's 25 for crying out loud

"For the last time, you need to stay here and lead the pack while I'm gone even if it's just for less than an hour. I need to make an impression on these people and I don't need you complicating things. You, Chris and Trinity look after the pack and if anything goes wrong, I will personally make your life a living hell for a week"

He gulped and walked away, sulking. I shook my head at his behaviour. I turned on my heels and ran down the stair and out the house when I heard Naomi call my name

"Ready?" I asked them, eyeing them up

Naomi smiled and nodded while Ben gave a curt nod. With a nod of my own, I slid into the first SUV and drove off with them close behind me

So what if we're 4.38 minutes late. They won't mind right? I heard Naomi's voice in my head

I smirked and shook my head. I know I'm being bad but I find it amusing when Naomi gets like this. She gets talkative and then she'll start to sweat and make no sense until she can't take it and buries herself in her work. I know I'm such a bad friend but I can't help how I feel

Omi cool it. Everything is going to be okay I chuckled, using her nickname

She snorted and I could almost picture her rolling her eyes at me but smiling none the less.

I drove through the entry to the air strip and saw a small group of people in front of a Jet plane. Nice

Taking a deep breath, I tightened my fingers around the steering wheel and gave myself a little pep talk. I may tease Omi about her little breakdown but that doesn't mean I don't have a couple. I'm just good at hiding it from the people around me. I hardly speak nowadays anyway so they don't usually know what's running through my mind unless I open up my mind to them and there's a 0 chance of that happening in the near future

I parked in front of the small group and inhaled deeply before getting out of the vehicle. Here goes nothing.

The first thing I noticed about the small group was that they had no scents. Of course I heard of this from other Alphas of different packs they helped out but to actually witness it. It's truly incredible. Second thing I noticed was the amount of power radiating from five of the members especially the one with the black cloth covering his face but leaving out those beautiful brown eyes. Wait...what? I shook my head to clear my mind before studying the other team members

Shock and disbelief filled me when the child radiated power equivalent to an strong Alpha.

He looked so familiar yet I'm pretty sure I've never met him before. He had reddish brown hair that I've only ever seen on one person and that was my mate. My heart cracked a bit at the thought of my long lost love. His eyes were the brightest and most innocent blue eyes that got out my over protectiveness.

My wolf moved around restlessly, howling and barking to be free so he could meet and greet the small boy who looked to 9 or 10 years old.

Alpha, you better stop staring and say something Benjamin spoke through the mind link

I nodded and smiled at who I assume is the leader. He looks older than his comrades. His brown hair styled in a neat manner so no stray is located. His light green eyes stared me down with a look of superiority. I felt my wolf stir at the blatant disrespect but I reigned him back and gave him a polite smile

"I apologize for our tardiness. The pups were a bit rowdy this afternoon and it took all hands on deck to put them down" I apologized

He gave out a laugh but something in me told me that it was fake and that he was only doing that to seem polite in front of me, my Beta and my Gamma.

Is it me or does he hate you? Naomi asked through my mind link

I saw my Beta gave a small curt nod in agreement. I discretely shrugged my shoulders and kept up my smile and polite front. I don't care if he hates me for some unknown reason. I'll happily take his hate if he just helps my pack and I with this problem we're having.

"It's alright. We know how kids can get" He waved it off

Although he was smiling, he's icy green eyes were glaring dagger at my head; it's both creepy and intimidating. My wolf growled but I ignored it and introduced myself

"Yes, um, well let me introduce myself. I'm Matthew Bennett and this is my Beta, Benjamin Reed and my Gamma Naomi Clark"

I extended my hand for him to shake to which he took. At least he didn't leave me hanging. When he gave my hand a hard squeeze I regretted giving him my hand for a shake. I breathed out a sigh of relief when he let go of my hand from that death trap.

"It's nice to meet you all. My name is Gabriel Shaw but during my stay here, you and your pack will call me Shaw. This is my team; the Onyx. As you might've heard we deal with extremely important cases, not lowly unimportant ones. Due to 2 teams being on the field as we speak and one on vacation, we were forced to take this one. Count yourself lucky that our boss sent us because if any other teams were available, we wouldn't be here right now"

I knew he didn't like us. Why though? Have any of you guys met this dude before? I'm serious if you guys crossed him, I swear to Go-

We didn't...well I've never met this man before I cut Omi of mid-rant. Damn she need to chill out for a second

I opened my mouth to question him when the huge ginger spoke up. I've always thought gingers were thin and lanky but this one is as big as Bruce Banner on adrenaline rush going 'HULK SMASH'. I've never seen a man as big as him

"My name is Simon Jenkins and this beautiful specimen is my lovely mate, Daniel Rodgers" He ended with a kiss to his mate's head; a young man with brown eyes and dark hair that almost looks black

I wanted to gape at them. His mate is so small; tall but small. How is he still standing with a mate as big as Simon. Before I could continue my train of thoughts, the only female in the group spoke up

"Rebekah Powell and this is my mate, Jacob Palmer"

She's beautiful with her luscious red hair and light blue eyes but despite her beauty, I'm getting the sense that her personality isn't all that...nice. The way she introduced herself and her mate made me believe that she could care less about why they're here for

Her mate; a complete opposite of her, had a huge smile on his face. His hand around her waist in a protective embrace. His blonde hair and dark blue eyes gave him a boyish look. I'm getting a feeling that he's not like the rest of the group. He seems laid back and easy going. The moon goddess has a good sense of humour pairing these two up

The small boy walked up to me and I swear my wolf and I tensed up as every fibre of my being screamed to protect this boy and take him as my own. I looked confused down at him before looking up at Gabriel...I mean Shaw who seemed to not drop the glare on his face.

"You may not know who I am" I ripped my eyes away from the ring leader to look down at the owner of the sweet melodic voice and smiled a little "But you knew my mom"

"Your mom?"

I thought back to all the women I've met and I'm pretty sure I've never touched any of them sexually. I looked into the blue eyes that reminds me of my own and tilted my head, studying him closely

"Yeah, Andrew Kai Scott" He replied with a smile

I heard commotion around me but I could care less about that. I can't tear my eyes away from the small boy in front of me. My mind flashed to all the times I made love to Andrew, my beautiful mate and now, the mother of my son...my son...I have a son

"You're my son?"

He smiled and nodded and I don't know why I didn't notice it before. He shares a couple of features with Andrew but my genes won the fight and so now, my son looks like a replica of me

"You're my son" I smiled and looked deeply into his eyes "What's your name?"

"Samson Zacchaeus Scott"

That sure is a mouth full. I threw my head back and laughed. Of course my love would name him that. I can't believe he remembered our talk and gave our son a long name. I looked at my son and brought him in for a tight hug. My wolf purred at having our son close. I buried my face into his hair and inhaled his scent.

"What a beautiful name. Where's your mother? Where's Andrew?" I asked, looking around for the love of my life

"This is our keeper; Onyx" Gabe spoke up

I wanted to snap at him but I need his help and so I stood up and looked over at the keeper before my body froze up
