I know it's been a long time since I've last uploaded a chapter and that's on me. I thought my medical condition was getting okay but I was wrong and that's the reason I haven't been uploading and I'm so sorry for my lack of updates. I'm really trying...

Anyway, enough about me, its time for the shoutout to my ex (I love that song) but seriously, shoutout time. Shoutout to the following for being the first voters for the last chappie. You rock my boat!

Chapter 14

I walked over to my mate's desk and sat down in his massive leather chair. I could tell I looked ridiculous sitting in this gigantic chair; I probably looked like a child trying to imitate an adult.

As embarrassing as this is, I pushed aside the unnecessary feeling and took out the blueprint of the pack land which included the lands of the surrounding packs and no man's land; which is probably where they're hiding at.

Studying the papers in front of me, I motioned for everyone in the room to move closer to where I sat and invited them to study the papers I had brought out. That seemed to snap Moses out of his quietness because he began to bitch...yet again

"You may be the Keeper but you're on our pack lands now which means you should listen and obey us. What right do you have to go through our Alpha's personal belonging? You can't just come in here and order us around like we're your lapdogs!" He snarled

All the while he was performing his little temper tantrum, I noticed my handsome mate stir from his slumber. I smiled when I saw his eyes flutter open like they do before he awakes from his sleep. By the time Moses finished with his little show, Matthew was fully awake and is now sporting a dangerous look on his face.

The angry old man walked around the enormous desk and went to grab my hand when Matthew shot forward and grasped the older male by his wrist. Everyone in the room stared at us with either wide cautious eyes or bored expressions; you can tell who's who.

"What do you think you're doing, Moses?" Matthew asked in a low deadly tone

Everyone in the room took notice of how Moses shivered and whimpered pathetically in the grasp of my mate. Fear in large doses were coming off of him and in that moment I saw just how corrupt this pack truly is. It seemed like Matthias promoted those who he can control and Moses was a perfect candidate. But I gotta say he failed with Aquila and for that I'm truly grateful.

"Alpha, I was just trying to let the Keeper know his place" The former delta stuttered out pitifully

"And where do you think that is?" My mate questioned, tilting his head to the side, playing confused.

I wanted to coo at his adorable expression but I bit my tongue but smiled dreamily none the less. If only we were alone at the moment...the things I would do to him

As if sensing where my train of thoughts were going, Mattie let out a low growl, that sent shivers of anticipation down my spine, and tighten his grip on Moses' wrist. To anyone in the room, it looked like he was having a hard time trying to control his anger but I knew better. With that in mind, I smirked in satisfaction and leaned back in the unnecessarily large chair.

Seriously, who needs a chair this big?

But then again, Matthew is a large man...and I do mean that in more than one way

"Alpha, he's an outsider. It was disrespectful of him to walk in here and act like he owned the place. Not only that-" Moses spoke in a disgusted tone but was cut off before he could continue with one of his yet another rant

His high and mighty attitude was starting to piss me off

"But what I want to know is what makes you think that you get to tell one of the most powerful beings in the supernatural world where his place is. The keepers of the five Royal jewels are the representation of the Moon Goddess. They're our direct connection to the Moon Goddess herself. Her powers flow through these men and women, you should count yourself lucky to be in the presence of such fine creatures. Now I'll repeat my question, where do you think the Keeper's place is?" He growled and I'd be lying if I say that didn't turn me on

Moses looked like he was about to piss his pants and if it wasn't for the interruption of Gabe, I'd say Moses would've passed the fuck out. Oh, how I would love to have seen that

"Alpha Bennett, I think you should calm down because this little show isn't going to get us any closer to getting your son back here with us"

Narrowed light blue eyes turned their gaze from the blubbering Delta to the leader of my team. Before anything else could happen, I cleared my throat to gain the attention of everyone in the room. Although I wanted to see what would happen next, I have to agree with the point Gabe made. Wasting time will bite us in the butt in the long run.

"Let him go, Alpha. Gabriel is right, we need to come up with the plan effective immediately. We don't know what your father or that woman have up their sleeves"

Matthew's eyes harden at the mention of the two people who are giving us a hard time.

"What do you suggest we do, Keeper?" Benjamin asked, moving closer to the desk so he could take a closer look at the blue print I had laid out for all to see.

I looked over at my mate for permission to take over the mission and with his nod of approval, I smiled up at Benjamin.

"From what I've gathered from Gabriel and of course your Alpha, the packs around these parts don't take too well to rogues. So I'm certain they wouldn't be hiding the rogue pack in their lands and to be on the safe side, I've asked Rebekah to look through the lands using her voodoo magic" I grinned at the last sentence

It's not voodoo, you asshole She muttered through our mind link while glaring daggers at me. Simon and Jake chuckled, Daniel giggled and Gabe smirked at the retort

Sorry not sorry I replied before continuing with the what I was saying

"I've come up with the conclusion that they would have taken no man's land and claimed it. Whether it's temporary or permanent is yet to be confirmed"

"Anyone with half a brain would've came up with that conclusion" Moses muttered under his breath but being in a room filled with supernatural beings with exceptionally good hearing, we heard every word that fell from his mouth.

Even Jake, the HUMAN hunter, heard his words and judging by everyone's facial expressions, I could tell that they're patience with the man was running low. I wouldn't blame them, I have the sudden urge to kill something every time the man opens his mouth.

"Do you, maybe, want to take over this mission, Delta" I asked, a little of my wolf sipping through my words

This altercation is acting as a pause to the plan making process and it's starting to really piss me off

My team members took a cautious step back when they caught on to my current mood. Seeing the actions of my team members, Matthew and his people took on a weary features and decided to follow my team's actions, although Naomi tried to back her father up; she was scared of what would happen next.

Hearing me address him, Moses snapped his head up to look at me with wide startled eyes before he took a look around the room and noticed the distance everyone had made away from him. I cleared my throat to get his attention back to me.

If I keep clearing my throat like this, I might end up with a sore throat. I swear these people are so inconsiderate

Upon questioning me and insulting my intelligence, Matthew almost attacked but chose to let me fight my own fights which is a good choice on his part but damn do I want my man to just knock him out so we could continue with our discussion. This old man is keeping me from my son

The last thought seemed to stick

Is it possible that Moses is still working under Matthias?

Gabe, Simi, grab him and hold him still. I need to confirm something I commanded the two men

With curt nods, they carried out the instructions without hesitation. They stepped forward almost immediately and grasped an arm each. The struggles Moses was putting up was nothing compared to the strength each of these men posses. While I serve as the Moon Goddess' vessel, my team act as shields to protect the vessel. That's their main reason of existing.

"What are you doing? I demand you let me go, you blood sucking leech and you stupid pup" Moses snarled

"Leeches are blood sucking creatures and so calling Gabe a blood sucking leech is kind of redundant" Becca muttered in a bored tone

"And don't call my mate stupid, you dim-wit" Daniel growled, which was kind of cute considering who he is and how he looks like. He looks like a kitten trying to imitate a lion; adorable

Moses opened his mouth to retort, which isn't really the smartest thing for him to do at the moment considering his current situation, when his daughter spoke up, stopping him from making the hole he has dug for himself deeper than it already has.

"What is the meaning of this? Why are you restraining my father?" She asked, truly fearing for her father's life.

I stood up from my seat and walked around the desk to stand in front of Moses, who stood glaring at me. If looks could kill...

"I need to confirm something. If what I'm thinking is correct, your father is in deep shit" I answered Naomi, my voice void of any emotion

Moses tensed and a look of panic entered his eyes before he tried to cover it with a look of anger. He opened his mouth to speak but with a look from me, Becca cast a spell that made him unable to talk for some time. Realizing this, Moses' struggles became more adamant as he looked towards Aquila, Naomi and even my mate for help but none was willing to come between me and my investigation.

Jake, I need you to keep his head still. Wouldn't want him head butting me, would I?

With a small nod, he left his mate's side and walked over to us until he was behind Moses and held his head still.

Fear joined panic and swarm in the depth of his wide brown eyes when he stared straight at me. I could tell he was trying to shake his head but it was no use against the grip Jake had on his head. Walking up to him, I placed my forehead onto his and closed my eyes

What do you think you're doing? Matthew asked me through our mating bond. Jealousy and anger etched onto each word like white on rice.

Trying to see into his memory. You don't have to worry babe, you're my one and only and I love you. So chill I tried to calm him down so I could continue with what I was planning to do. The faster we get answers, the faster we can get our baby boy back.

I love you too

Satisfied with our conversation, I concentrated on penetrating the wall Moses placed around his mind. When I'm done with this mission, I really need to teach Matthew and the others how to strengthen their mind walls because breaking Moses' walls down was a walk in the park which was disappointing to say the least.

Flashes upon flashes of memory breezed past my mind's eyes before I came across what I was looking for and I gotta say, it was more than what I was expecting
