This is the story of Pikuseru, a 9 year old girl, who had the dream of becoming a ninja, but didn't want to go through the trouble of studying every day. She had to attend her village's academy just because her parents obligated her. She didn't really know anyone due to her strange eyes and her..."abilities".

One day, Pikuseru woke up on a Friday morning.

"Finally, Friday!", she sighed with relief.

She'd been going to the academy for about 2 months now. Let's just say she didn't really like it.

When she got up from her bed, she noticed that her things were all packed in a big backpack, except for her pajamas and her clothes for the day. She didn't really care too much, so she ignored it and continued on with her day.

Once she got ready for school, she went downstairs to get breakfast. She found her mother and her father talking in the kitchen.

"Morning mom, morning dad", she yawned.

Her parents looked at her in a unusual manner.

"Good morning sweetie", her mother said with a sad grin.

"Here you go", said her dad giving her a brown bag.

"Today, once you get back from school, you're going to take that big bag and the map that are in your room. Follow the directions that are written on it. The people of the village we're sending you to will be expecting you".

"Okay then...?", she said.

With that, she ate her breakfast, bowed and left for school. Once she arrived, she went and took all of her classes, not really listening to most of the lectures.

<Six Hours Later>

Ugh! This sucks. Now I have to go on a hiking trip?! What is this?, she thought as she looked at the map in her hands. Without any more hesitation, she looked at her destination. Ko-no-ha-ga-ku-re... Huh? Whatever that means. She then grabbed her backpack, sighed and ran downstairs. "Mom? Dad? I'm leaving! If you're home I just wanna say, I love you! See you soon!" She said before leaving for her trip. She didn't notice at the moment but she had been home alone. She then walked out the door, locking it behind herself.

After a few minutes of walking, she reached the village gate to meet the two chunnin who were going to accompany her to the other village.  After they introduced themselves, the three parted. Then and there, she began her journey to the village hidden in the leaves.
