Nick Gives More Advice

Nick listened to what Romeo told him, nodding. When his nephew was done Nick sighed and massaged his temple.

"That was inconsiderate, Romeo, but I understand what you were trying to do. You might not have gone about it in the right way though." Nick advised.

Romeo sighed. "I know... But now I don't know how to make it up to her. And I don't know how to help her!"

"Kid, I think you just need to give her some space and some time. She'll come around. She really cares for you, you know." Nick stated.

"How do you know?" Romeo asked.

"Remember when you broke your toe and Julie helped you even though she disliked you? Or the time she was willing to leave even though she was having fun with you, but she wanted to give you some time with your mom? Or what about the time she came over to check up on you when you were sick? She cares, kid. She's just hurting." Nick told his nephew wisely. Romeo nodded and sighed.

"You're right, as usual." Romeo grumbled. "How come you know so much."

"I learned it from two really great, smart people." Nick said, with a small half happy, half sad smile. Both those people were gone now. "Now, kid, I recommend not getting on Julie's bad side for a while."

"Yeah, yeah I guess you're right." Romeo stated. He went quiet before asking, "Do you miss them?"

"Miss who?" Nick wondered.

"Dad and Zera. That's who you were talking about when you said you learned from two smart people, right?" Romeo questioned, innocently enough.

"Yeah I miss them." Nick sighed. They were both quiet, thinking about their lost loved ones. Nick smiled and decided to break the quiet. "Don't you have homework to do?"

Romeo laughed at the way his uncle said it. "Maybe." Romeo began sprinting out of the room, but was interrupted by his uncle saying something.

"Hey, kid, you better not die on me anytime soon." Nick played it off as a joke.

Romeo smiled. "I wasn't planning on it." And with that he dashed from the room.
