A/N This is the sequel to Wasteland, I don't have a cover yet( not that I will need one for a least a few more days) This is just a little preview of the book, nothing much is set in stone. Hope you enjoy!

"Ái! Léon! Get up, if you want to get home before dark, you guys are gonna have to!" Aurora's voice cracked through my room like lightning. I heard Léon shuffle beside me, if we hadn't been friends for five years, I would have been concerned, but...... we had taken showers together and thought nothing of it.

I heard him yawn while I still laid in bed, we had pulled an all nighter trying to teach him how to actually aim, and we were both extremely tired.

I heard his back pop and I had to stifle a laugh as his sleepy, silky voice grunted in pain.

He must have seen me because the best second he had straddled me and was jumping to get me up.

I was 18 he was 19, but I was the most mature, At least I thought I was. And Léon was very, clumsy, and very easy to scare.

"Léon, get off of me." I grumbled, still tired from yesterday. And I really wasn't in the mood for his antics.

"Get up "love" I-"

I punched him, hard, he knew how much I hated that. He spun off me, and off the bed landing hard on the stone floor, I heard him groan in pain and I had a mental victory.

"At least my name doesn't mean Lion." I said, getting up and looking around the room.

It was just as trashed as when we went to sleep. There was broken trinkets everywhere, and a slightly dented guitar(that belonged to Léon) and my new/old dual energy pistols. And Léon's yellow sword hung off the wall, where he had tried to kill a spider with it.

"It just means I'm brave!" He said proudly, and I laughed at his optimism.

"Says the boy that was scared of a little spider. And had me, the lovely and sweet Ái to kill it." I said sarcastically. Laughing once more at his dumbstruck face.

"Little! That thing was huge! It could've ate me!" He stared at me with his lamp-like purple eyes and moved his hand through his yellow hair.

"It was tiny compared to some of the stuff you see out here. I know you come from a vault, but you've traveled with me for five years, have you not learned?" I punched him playfully and went into my closet to change.

My dads bandana hung in the corner and I tied it around my neck. I loved my dad, even if he was super embarrassing.

Walking out of the closet with my normal clothes. I walked upon Léon in just his underwear.

"Put some pants on dude." I said as I walked past him. And I laughed as out of the corner of my eye I saw him turn pink and whip away from my direction.

Walking down into the kitchen I smelled eggs and bacon, which was strange because those two things were hard to find.

I looked in the frying pan and saw what it actually was.

Brahmin meat, smothered in rad-away and butter, beside it was Preserved chicken eggs, the kind that was liquid when you found them,

"Morning Ái." my father said from the table, his feet propped up and his mechanical hand holding a cup of coffee.

"Morning Dad!" I went to the "fridge" it was just a giant ice cube in a cabinet with stuff on top of it, and grabbed my glass of water from the night before.

"Where's Léon, is he still getting dressed?" My mom said, coming out from Helio's room, I was actually surprised to see that he was actually asleep.

"Yeah, he needs to hurry up, we need to get home before dark. There's supposed to be a rad storm and I don't want to get caught in that." I replied, and then felt a familiar famine hand on my shoulder.

"Hey sis, you leaving?" Aurora said from behind me, although she was older than me, I was taller. And she had trouble reaching my shoulder. Her husband, Jack, was leaning on the doorway behind her, smiling and giving me a small wave.

I waved back, and at the same time Léon came in, his sword strapped on his back and his pistol near his side.

He tossed me my two energy pistols and I holstered them, him giving me his signature dopey smile.

"We'll have some breakfast before we leave Léon, I know I'm hungry."

"So am I, let's eat!"
