Chapter 3
I tried to save my twin, but failed as she flew into the portal.
Cursing at myself, I tried to reach her and pull her out.
But again, to no avail.
By the time I reached the portal, the bluish-white portal had begun to close.
And just as I threw my hand to reach her, the portal closed itself fully, leaving no trace of it being there entirely.
-Miranda's P.O.V.-
Well, consider being thrown in a portal checked off on MY buckett list. And let me tell you, it ain't fun.
So, as I was being transported to who knows where, I struggled to get this disc off of me.
And I was struggling with in fact, a Trek.
Treks can be used to explode, as all of my other encounters with them have happened. But they can also be used as a frisbee-type weapon that is thrown at just about anything. But once it hits something, it latches onto it.
'Darn. Why won't it come off?' I questioned as I tried to pry the Trek off. And before I knew it, I was shielding myself from the impact of the portal.
I WAS expecting the impact with it to be hard, but it was quite the opposite. It was like just falling through a mist, so it tickled against my skin. It felt great too. It was as if I had decided to run through the mist, allowing it to flow around me.
-Mark's P.O.V.-
I just dropped my jaw when the portal had closed.

Anger. Fear. Sorrow. Grief. Frustration. That is all I felt. I just laid there, hand outstretched with an open hand, ready to catch something.
I clenched that same hand as I pushed myself to my knees. I just kneeled there, head pointing down as I allowed tears to flow down my cheeks.
"Shes.... Shes... Gone..." Was all I could manage.
I silently rose to my feet, brushing off the clods of dirt that clung to my clothing.
I looked around the area, scanning for any other casulties. Sadly though, there was only one other person missing.
"Hey... Anyone seen... Cyrus?" Gwen asked around.
"Nope." was all they replied. My eyes widened. I searched around, looking for any signs of a struggle.
Scratcing the back of my head, I wandered around, searching for anything. I separated plants as well.
I finally found something. It was located next to a tall palm tree. The tree had several claw marks at the base, along with a broken-up slash mark going in a diagonal line.
And in front of the old, rotten trunk of this particular tree, laid out clearly in the dirt, was a message:
"In the time you would read this message, I may have dissappeared. I'm being attacked by too many... And I ought to tell you all that we were being followed by the same thugs that attacked Miranda. I had overheard them talking about a plan:
To get Miranda and take her to some place called Valvento, in another dimension. And so, I will follow them. If they succeed, I will be gone. If thats the case, find the Sage of Rainbow Road (thats the city name). His name is Pepe, and after you find him, tell him I sent you and that you need his help. Now, he'll want a piece of evidence to prove that I sent you. This proof that he'll seek is hidden near here. Show him. It is a sword that has four divots in the blade. Hurry, I may have alr-"
The writting was cut off at the end. Thus, its safe to assume that he too, was kidnapped, along with my twin.
I glared at the message and read it over several times over. 'Where was Rainbow Road?' I thought.
But, before I could even pull out the map to check, someone responded "Rainbow Road is on our way to Brickenskoff."
I turned around, and saw Avery glancing over my shoulder.
"What? How do you know this?" I asked.
