In previous update I asked you guys your opinion about the cover and most of the reades like the no. Third cover for my book but one of my reader saw the same book cover under another book's name. So I don't want to use someone's books cover, it may create the confusion. No.4 the original book cover of my book got second highest votes so I decided to stick with the original cover of my book.

Sid's point of view

"Sid, what is the progress report of aquarium project?" Dad asked me while biting his toast.

We all are sitting in the dining table having breakfast. It's a new day with new hope and work. Mom is eating her breakfast, Preeti is serving a breakfast to me and keerti is absent from dinning table, probably getting ready for her office. She always gets late for office because she wakes up late. No matter how many time mom threatened her but old habits take time to go.

"Dad, New design is ready. We will ready the project report after testing safety gears from all Possibilities of natural disasters." I said while drinking my orange juice.

"Good, safety comes first. So who will go to L.A for the presentation with project report?" Dad asked.

"Nick will go after two days. James already prepared the contract. So after getting the deal we will sign the contract." I said.

"Okey.. tell Ni..."

"Okey, enough of the business talk. You Father and son always talk about business and business. Now no more talk of work in my dinning table." Mom said in her warning tone while pointing both of us.

"Okey..okey..fine. No more talk of business." Dad said while surrendering.

I and Preeti both chuckled looking at him surrendering to mom. He always use his bossy tone on me when it comes to business but keep his mouth shut when  Mom's around.

"Arre..where is Keerti." Dad asked while observing Keerti's absent at breakfast table.

"Dad..I'm here." Keerti said while walking towards the breakfast table.

We both still don't talk to each other, especially me. It's been a week of that incident when she left Preeti on road and it make my mood sore whenever I think about it. Dad doesn't know about it otherwise he will talk to me about this.

Preeti is behind me to forgive keerti but I always closed the topic before it's start. I still mad on her and she didn't even apologize to Preeti. Our love for keerti make her acted like a spoiled brat.

"Wake up early dear. You always in a rush for breakfast." Mom said looking at her.

"I got a call mom that's why I am late." She took the sit beside mom. I saw Preeti took a step towards her to serve her but before she could approach her Keerti served herself.

"Preeti beta...why are you not having breakfast with us." Mom asked while looking at Preeti.

"It's okay Mom. I'll have later. I am not hungry." She said while buttering the bread for me.

I looked at her for the reason and she gave me a small smile.

"No...eat with us." I hold her hand and make her seat on my beside chair.

She slowly take her hand away under mine and put it on her lap.

She is still shy to hold my hand in front of everyone but I like when she makeout with me in front of everyone in her drunken state.

I filled a glass of orange juice for her served her two paratha but she put back one in server.

I looked at her while raising my one eyebrow and gave her look 'It's not going to work.' and put the paratha again in her plate.

I think she is on diet that's why she is skipping her meal and lied to me about her food. But she is already thin. She doesn't need a diet. Today I make her eat breakfast in front of me and assigned duty to someone to take care of her food.

"Eat it quietly or I will feed you by my hands." I whispered in her ear and squeezed her thigh softly.

Her cheeks turned into crimson. She looked at me with shocked eyes and then everyone but no one is paying attention to us. She softly removed my hand from her thigh and started eating quietly. She looked at me with her red face and I grinned looking at her flushing face.

I love that I still affecting her the same way I affected her when I saw her first time in her home for our marriage purpose.

Dad told me to wait for him so I  walked outside towards my car and Preeti is following me. She always see off me at gate and I just love her small caring gestures towards me.

"Siddharth.." I turned when she called for me.

"Your wallet.." she slowly walked to me and gave me my wallet. I took the wallet from her and keep it in my back pocket of my trousers pants. I looked at her and today something  is missing from her eyes. Today She is looking bit off than other days.

"Are you alright?" I asked while caressing her right cheek lovingly.

She gave me weak smile and nodded her head while putting her hand on mine. She is looking lost and her smile didn't reached her eyes like she is faking it for my sake.

"You know..you can't lie to me." I said while looking at her with concern.

"Yesterday was Abhi's birthday.  Shivani di face time with me and my whole family was present there. I got emotional and I could barely hold back my tears." Her eyes turn glossy. She turned and face her back to me so I can't see her tears.

She always took care of my small things. From my morning workout to till me sleep, she took care of everything. She covered the windows of our room with curtains so my sleep can't disturb, she put her pillow beside me so I could sleep peacefully thinking the pillow as of her, she always make sure that I have proper food in office, if I just sneezed she took care of me like a mother and sacrificed her sleep just to look after me so that I couldn't catch a cold then how I didn't realize her pain.

It's been more than six months of our marriage except phone calls and facetime she can't meet her family and the different continents sometimes make it difficult for her. How couldn't I realized she also missed her family. I can't let her go alone due to my selfish reasons. I want go with her but due the work burden I can't and the worst part is she never complained about it.

I hold her by her shoulders and slowly make her face to me. She keep her eyelids down and tears are streaming out from her eyes.

"Preeti...you come with me by leaving your whole family behind with the hope of that I will make you always happy. You said I know you more than yourself then why can't I see that you are missing your family." I whispered looking at her face.

"I know I was being a selfish not to let you go India alone because it's hard to spend even a single day without you but we will go to India tomorrow." I whispered while wiping her tears and lifted her chin slightly so I can see her beautiful eyes.

She slowly lifted her eyelids and looked into my eyes with her beautiful brown eyes.

"It's true I am missing my family but it is also the truth that this family is mine too and I can't go to India, by leaving my family just like that especially you. Dad and Nick need you at work and I know you also don't want to put all burden on them. Anyways after two month we all are going to India to attend Aarushi's (Preeti's cousin brother's wife) baby shower." She whispered while giving me a small smile.

"Are you sure?" I asked while caressing her right cheek lovingly and she nodded her head while smiling.

I leaned and kissed her on her forehead. She closed her eyes while leaning to the kiss. I pulled back and we both looked at eachother with so much love and care.

"Son..." Preeti immediately took a step back when we heard Dad's voice.

"Shall we..?" Dad asked while looking at both of us.

I don't want to leave Preeti when she is feeling emotionally weak. I looked at her and she is also looking at me with the same look. I half heartedly nodded my head when Dad asked me again.

"God bless you." Dad gave blessings to Preeti when touched Dad's feet.

Dad took the passenger seat and I took the driving seat. I was driving out of our mansion but my heart was with Preeti. I looked at her from the rearview mirror and she was standing at her same place looking at my car. I know she didn't went inside until my car vanished from her eyes. Mom must be love dad she never see off him at gate and never stood outside until his car vanished from her eyesight. Preeti's loves towards me is pure and innocent, not everyone able to love someone like this that's why I love her more than anyone because she is the part of my soul without her I am nothing.

"This is the FBI and forensic report which confirms that Anna smith is really dead." James said while sliding the file towards me.

Nick took the FBI report and I took the forensic report of Anna Smith. It's clearly written in report that Anna is really dead. Her face wasn't  recognizable but DNA reports confirmed that the body was Anna's. But why can't  I believe it that Anna is dead. As long as I knew her she is cunning woman like fox then how a gas explosion cause her death.

After getting the information of Anna Smith's death I told James to find everything related to this case. Her death was shocking for everyone and just after her death her father Jeffrey smith is missing. It just can't be coincidence. Andrew still can't track Jeffrey Smith. It's like he didn't even exist anymore. I want to find any loophole if there is something fishy.

"FBI closing the case." Nick said while reading the report.

"What..?" I said shockingly and took the report from him.

Indeed they are closing the case.

"But how could they close the case?" I said looking at James for answer.

"According to expert reports it was purely a accident. So FBI decided to close the case." James said looking at me.

"I don't believe it's an accident. James I want the CCTV footage of every corner of the prison of the accident date." I said.

"But Sid it's impossible to get the CCTV footage of prison." He said.

"I don't know how you will do it. Use your sources or bribe the prison's security. I want the CCTV footage at any coast." I said looking at him.

"But Sid why are you behind this case desperately?" James asked.

"She is cunning woman. Last time she almost destroyed me and I won't sit in ease if I get a single clue that she faked her death. Just think James one day she suddenly assigned a duty in prison's kitchen at the very first time and at the same day she dead because of a gas leaking explosion and last but not the least at the very same day her father Jeffrey smith went missing.  " I said, making him understand.

"Actually Sid is right...Smith Constructions share got down after Anna and Sid's scandal. It leave a positive effect to our company but destroy Smith constructions. Everyone wants to buy their companies shares at a very low rate. Our company tries too but Jeffrey never sell them. But suddenly few days ago I got a call from Smith Constructions that they are ready to sell their all share to us in a very cheap rate." Nick said looking at me and James.

"It could be a trap. We all know Kapoor's constructions and Smith Constructions are rivals. Instead of selling them on market price they are selling us in cheap rates." James said looking at me.

"You are right.. James I want every information about Smith Constructions from their CEO to their watchman. I want you to get all information about their property, assets, bank accounts everything and also find if any money withdrawal from Smith's account." I said looking at James.

"Okey.." James nodded his head.

"Have you found out who blackmailed me and Preeti with Anna's and my pictures." I asked.

"Not yet.." He said.

"Is it Anna's boyfriend..?" I asked.

"No..it wasn't him. Someone send those pictures to Preeti from India."

"What..?" I and Nick said in unison.

"I still don't know who was the person but I only confirmed that someone send them from India." He said.

It's been months since James and I try to track the person whom blackmailed me and Preeti with those photos. Someone tried harder that Preeti didn't come back in my life but Preeti's trust on me never let them get succeed. If some girl was in Preeti's place she must be blame me for all that commotion but Preeti shown her trust on me and didn't believe on those pictures. I am truly blessed to have her in my life.

"Okay..If you get any information just tell me." I said and he nodded his head as yes.

It's almost 8.00 p.m. of the evening. Employees are leave to their home and I already got two calls from Preeti asking me when I am coming home. I have to leave now otherwise she will kill me if I didn't show up in half an hour.

"Sid...Mr. Mittal a politician from India approached our company to built a apartment building." Nick barged inside my cabin with a huge grin on his face.

"Really..?" I asked with a smile.

"Yes.." He said while sitting in the chair.

"It will be good for our company and helps us to spread our business in south Asia." I said while smiling.

I always wants to get a construction project in south Asia so I could spread our business in Asia too and how could I forget my wife is also from India so this project will be special for me.

"Yes..but there is little problem."

"What..?" I asked.

"They wants us to sign the contract as soon as possible." He said.

"But how could we sign the deal without a meeting and without seeing the site?"  I said confusingly.

"Mr. Mittal himself will come U.S.A  for a meeting and sign the deal. He wants us to start construction work as soon as possible after signing the deal because he wants to gifted the apartment building to his wife." He said.

It's good news that we got the project from India but they are rushing things. Is it okay to take a risk but business all about the risk. You can't  get success without taking risks.

"Okey.. you fix the meeting with them and talk our legal team to get ready the contract. I will send our one team to India for all confirmations." I said.

"Okey.." He nodded his head and leave.

My phone pinged with a text message. I took out my phone and looked at the message. My lips curled into a smile when I saw it's from Preeti.

Preeti- when are you coming home?

I smiled and typed my replay.

Siddharth- on my way.

Preeti- I am craving for Vanilla ice cream. Will you Please bring it your way back to home?

I chuckled softly and smirked when a evil thought came into my mind.

Siddharth- just vanilla ice cream or vanilla...you know what I mean.

Preeti- or what..?

She asked me innocently. She didn't get it what I mean. Being married for more than months and living with me she still doesn't get my double meaning jokes.

Siddharth- Don't worry baby. I'll show you at night.

Preeti- okey. Come home soon. I am waiting for you.

I chuckled softly and shake my head in amusement. What will I do to my innocent wife? She is too innocent for me but I love her innocence.

I know I am late in update but I was busy in past few days and also I am having the difficulty to write this chapter.

I know there is much investigation and business talk and less sid and Preeti's moment but it necessary for the story.
