The bitter encounters and sweet additions

The newly arrived person seemed to be eyeing the twins carefully

"who the hell r u two?new trainers of this worthless lizard?" the cross haired kid asked with cold eyes

Charmander tried to rush and hug his trainer but he kicked the lizard away

Something snapped inside ash

He rushed towards the cross haired with a fist ready to punch him

The orange haired guy just moved leftwards and a creature standing on two legs jumped on ash's back pinning him down onto the ground

The creature had red fur and white skin

Its hair seemed sharp and flowing into the west side

Its pupils were red with lines

"oi....isnt that a lycanroc?whats one doing here in kanto?" ash asks with a surprised tone

"ah....u r quite the smart one I see,this is indeed lycanroc,the best one out there" the boy boasted about his red wolf partner

A pokeball on each ash and red's belt shook violently but the the ginger head couldn't possibly notice it

His lycanroc picked up on it and felt a sense of uneasiness but shook it off

Charmander limped towards his trainer

But he had a look of disgust on his face and moved back

"lycan use rock fist" the trainer said with a cold look and venom in his voice

Lycanroc thrust its paws into the ground and removed it from the ground

"dont use full power,let him slowly" the guy said

As two mini gauntlets appears on its paws

And the wolf like pokemon rushed at the small lizard

As soon as it was gonna hit a yellow blur came crashing down and struck its paws

"what the" the orange haired guy mumbled in astonishment

"pikachu spin and use iron tail" ash ordered in rage

Pikachu jumped and came down like he was rolling and struck lycanroc with an iron tail

It sent the wolf pokemon flying into its trainer and crashing into the tree

Charmander fell down unconscious as the rain got heavier

"CHARMANDER/BUL BULBA/PIKA PI" shouted all 4 in worry

"that pikachu is strong,never expected a damn mouse to be that strong" said the trainer weakly

"but this ends now,lycanroc EARTHQUAKE" the wolf pokemon sprang into the air and stomped its feet on the ground causing a mini earthquake

Before it could hurt anyone,ash and red grabbed pikachu,bulbasaur and charmander and jumped up

"YOU DAMN BASTARD,YOU COULD HAVE KILLED THE CHARMANDER" ash screamed mid air while covering the flame of charmander

"that thing has caused me too much bad luck,it has only been a bad omen to me,it would be best to kill it" the orange haired trainer cursed with venom in his voice

Charmander's breath was getting heavier every minute

"PIKACHU USE THUND-" ash was about to command pikachu but was cut off

"ASH THIS IS NOT THE TIME,WE NEED TO GET CHARMANDER TO SAFETY. LOOK AT HIS FLAME" red screamed pointing to the creature under ash's jacket

The flame was getting smaller than it should be considered safe

"YOU DAMN ORANGE HAIRED TRAINER,I WILL TAKE MY REVENGE ON YOU LATER" ash screamed while quickly bolting towards the pokemon centre

"THE NAME IS CROSS AND I HOPE THAT CHARMANDER DIES,YOU MORONS" screamed the trainer called cross

The twins were running at fast pace but the slippery mud is making it difficult

"YOU TWO,COME WITH ME IMMEDIATELY" a boy about their age came out of forest calling out to them

(i gave him glasses)

"who the hell are you and why should we trust you?" red questioned with suspicion

"that doesn't matter,you need a shelter at the moment,or else charmander's fire will extinguish" the boy said with worry evident in his voice

Ash and red looked at each other and nodded to each

"lead the way" ash said while holding the poor creature under his jacket

The boy nodded and started running back into the forest

Ash and red followed the boy through the forest

Charmander was grunting in pain all this time

"just a few more minutes charmander,just a few more minutes" ash said with worry and started moving faster

They soon arrived at the entrance of a cave

There was a bipedal jackal standing at the entrance

It was surprised to see the twins but nonetheless grunted to them to come into the cave

(think of it as the normal type trail cave )

They soon get cover from the heavy rain

The lucario grunted looking at the twins

"they are here for shelter,someone is in a bad condition,bring the herbs and the medicine" the boy told lucario

Lucario nodded and went to a higher platform to look for the herbs

"remove the jacket and put charmander on the dry area"the boy told ash who nodded in return

He threw his jacket away and jumped on a dry platform in the cave

The flame stopped getting smaller but it was already in the critical stage

"its way worse than I thought"the spectacled boy said to himself after examining the poor pokemon

"LUCARIO BRING THE HEALING BOOK AS WELL" he shouted out to lucario and heard an affirmative grunt

A few minutes later lucario arrived with the required equipment

"first lets increase his stamina" the boy said and took some herbs and crushing them to a paste sort of state

He took a vail of water like liquid and poured it in the paste and mixed it

He brought it near charmander's mouth and made the lizard drink it little by little

The grunts stopped and the fire started burning normally

"woah,charmander is healed in a matter of minutes" ash said in amazement

"no,its not done. What I've done is temporary,we will still have to find a solution" the boy said seriously while flipping through the pages of the healing book

"argh I cant find a suitable method to bring back the lost life force of the flame" the boy said frustrated and dropping the book on the ground

The fire on charmander's tail started burning dimmer and dimmer

A page opened in the book

"huh whats this?recovery flames?" ash said loudly while looking at the opened page

"wait,what do you mean recovery flames? There was nothing like that inscribed in the book" the boy said looking at page where words are magically being inscribed

"is this.....appearing because of the fading life of charmander?"the boy questioned with wide eyes

Ignoring the sudden appearance he started reading it

"mana?it needs mana?" the boy questioned in frustration wanting to tear the book

The fire was back to how it was before the stamina potion

"no matter what it's a last ditch effort.we have to try it" ash said also frustrated and worried

"but how are we going to get mana? Its impossible unless u have the great mana crystal,even so its only usable for some time"the boy told them in frustration

Something struck in ash's head

Few words started to ring in his head

FLASHBACK:-

"listen ash,hold onto this stone. You will know why soon?" kurama told ash while handing him a pink shard

"whats this?questioned ash while examining the crystal

"its a crystal which gathers mana only suitable for healing,it works well with any type of healing magic. Put it in a holder and you will be able to use it" kurama said while earning him a nod from kurama

FLASHBACK ENDS

"oi spectacles,do you have a mana crystal holder?" ash asked in hurry

"yea I do,why does it matter?not like any of you know about mana. Its supposed to be a secret among many" the boy said with disappointment and annoyance

Ash takes out a pink crystal from his pocket and gives it to the boy

"use it! Save charmander's life" ash said desperately

The boy instantly recognized the crystal with wide eyes and instantly took out the holder glove and put the crystal in the holder

He put the gloved hand on charmander's head and looking at the book he chanted

"oh great lord hino kageuchi,I summon the recovery flames of thee. I request your aid in healing this poor creature and with all my might i summon the flames and life forces of the perished and heal this creature" the boy chanted with sweat dripping down his face

Charmander was consumed by pink flames like he was set on fire

It worried the twins but the boy assured its safe

But slowly the boy's skin started to become pale

Ash felt the boy's life force slowly being transferred to the lizard

(is this technique....a sacrifice to bring back the life force lost?) his eye's widened at the thought

Lucario sensed his master's life force also slowly being transferred

Ash grabbed one of the boy's shoulders and lucario grabbed the other

A blue light emitted from ash's hand and lucario's paw and energy started being passed into the boy causing his skin to become normal

Lucario looked at ash with a stunned look but nonetheless was helping him

The flames grew larger and after a few seconds the flames went away and the three fell back in exhaustion

Charmander's flame glowed with a purple outline with white center for a second before turning back to normal

This confuses red as the thought of the flames being special struck his mindbut he shrugged it off

Seeing charmander's flame back to normal relieves bulbasaur

He sighs a sigh of relief before falling down and finally taking a rest

Red takes out a pink bottle with spray attached

He sprays bulbasaur with the spray and the wounds on bulbasaur heal gradually

He feeds bulbasaur a pear like berry and an apricot like berry

Bulbasaur slept soundly after eating the berries

Red pat bulbasaur's head and ash followed the suit to pat charmander,pikachu and bulbasaur

"good job everyone,charmander is safe now" ash said as pikachu cooed in response while charmander and bulbasaur smiled in their sleep

Lucario suddenly jolted up and took a battle stance while looking at the entrance

"are you sure this is the place?" said a voice looking at the cave

"someone's here?" the boy instantly got up ready to battle whoever entered

"this voice feels familiar..? oh wait" red said when it suddenly struck him

"red guy,do you know who they are?" the boy asked

"yea no need to worry,they wont cause any trouble to you" red said while looking towards the entrance and ash was also looking in that direction

(whats this...large amount of aura pouring of the people outside..I feel like passing out from the sheer overflowing power) lucario thought while falling down on his knees

(these boys here arent normal either.....just who are these people)lucario thought while looking at the twins who were looking at lucario in worry

The boy rushed over to lucario

"are you alright lucario?" the boy asked while supporting his partner

Lucario grunted in response

"oh guess you were right ryoto,I sense them in there" said another voice

Two figures walked into the cave looking around

"amazing,this natural habitat is formed like it was a sanctuary" the second voice said while being amazed

"yea its rare to see these natural structures" the first voice agreed with the second voice

"this honestly brings back memories" said ryoto while kurama just nodded

Ash and red moved to the edge and called out to the duo

"KURAMA,RYOTO UP HERE" they both called out to them

They both looked up to see the twins on a higer platform

They quickly jumped to platform they were on

"yo you two,how are charmander and bulbasaur?" kurama asks as soon as he appears

"they are fine and resting,they don't have anymore energy" red explained looking at the two pokemon

Kurama and Ryoto sighed in relief looking at the two starters

They turned towards the boy and lucario

"who might you be? And is the lucario alright?" ryoto asks in concern

"lucario doesn't seem like he has been in any fight till now"kurama added

"he just fell on his knees suddenly im not sure why" the boy said while looking at the two

"i see,we will understand soon ig but who are you kid?" kurama asked

"i am sorrel,nice to meet you" the boy introduced himself while offering a handshake

Kurama took the handshake

"i am kurama,he is ryoto,the guy with red clothes is red and the other one is ash" kurama said introducing everyone

"what....are.....you.....both" a voice suddenly came

"huh?who said that?" sorrel said while looking around lucario

"i.....can........talk?" the voice questioned itself

This baffled sorrel as the voice was coming from near lucario but lucario cant talk so whose voice was that

"so you've learnt telepathy lucario" kurama said in a knowing tone

"huh lucario?" sorrel questioned while looking at his partner

Lucario looked up with widened eyes

"i.....think.....I....have" lucario said in broken speech

"well we can help you improve it but lets do it later" kurama said while lucario nodded in response

"woah lucario you can talk now?" sorrel asked his partner in amazement who just nodded in response

Lucario pointed to the duo and said

"what.....are....you....two......that....huge......amount.......of......aura" with his voice trembling

"oh I suppose we forgot to mask it" ryoto said while suppressing his aura

"that makes sense why lucario is like that" kurama added while suppressing his aura

Lucario took a sigh of relief and stood up properly

He bowed his head to the duo and the twins

"well....that was something" sorrel said with a sweatdrop

A sneeze was heard and the attention of people diverted to the yellow mouse

"guess you caught a cold huh pikachu" ash said with a slight laugh but he also started sneezing

Seeing this red laughed but he also started sneezing

Everyone had a good laugh about this as the 3 hung their head down with a cloud of disappointment

"lets just rest for now everyone and I got a lot of questions for tomorrow" sorrel said after he stopped laughing

Everyone agreed and decided to rest for now

The rain was pouring but everyone was sound asleep in the cave

TIMESKIP TO NEXT DAY MORNING:-

Ash's pov:-

I was sleeping peacefully while pikachu was cuddling with me

I felt something poking me and trying to wake me up

"mmmmmmm 5 more minutes" I said and went back to sleep but something didn't feel right

I felt some heat generating near me

Suddenly I jolted awake as I was hit by a flamethrower

I heard laughter and I saw red holding his back in pain and charmander and everyone laughing at us

"OII THIS ISNT" I shouted angrily but it didn't take long for me to start laughing as well

The mouse sleeping on me was startled with all the commotion that is happening and released a thunderbolt which hit everyone in the room

Everyone got covered in soot and shared a laugh out of this as well

I saw charmander being fit and healthy,laughing and enjoying himself,this made me smile

Red's pov:-

I was sleeping on the cave floors peacefully and dreaming of becoming the kanto champion

Until I felt something rubbing on my head

"mmmmmm let me sleep some more mom" I said and scratched the part where I felt the rubbing

I heard a grunt and then I heard the sound of whips on the ground

And the next second there was something heavy on my back which fell from a height

"WHAT THE FU-" I shot my eyes and looked on my back to see a greenbulb on my back

"BULBASAUR WHAT THE HELL" I screamed at the frog like pokemon who just laughing and jumped off my back

I was left to hold my back in pain

This damn green frog

I will show you

Maybe I should train you with charmeleon I thought as bulbasaur felt something coming from me and gulped

3rd person pov:-

The whole group was laughing at the scene that happened

After everyone cleaned themselves,ash and red decided it was time to ask the million dollar question

"hey charmander,you remember your old trainer cross?" ash asked hesitantly as charmander nodded slowly

"he called you weak,he said you were useless,he said you were a bad omen,lets prove them wrong,how about you join my team and we can get you strong enough to take cross down all by yourself" ash declared which stunned the little lizard pokemon

Tears welled up in his eyes and hugged ash and nodded in affirmation

Ash took out a cyan and white pokeball which had a white star right above the button

He touched charmander's forehead and he got sucked into the pokeball

3 shake

3 stars came out of the button indicating a successful capture

"LETS GO I JUST CAUGHT A CHARMANDER" ash said in a victorious tone and a victory pose with pikachu joining him on his shoulder

"pikkaa" he said in affirmation

"hey bulbasaur,lets prove that damian bastard that you are something greater than he ever imagined,so what do you say? Want to join my team to become stronger?" red told the little frog pokemon

Bulbasaur nodded in affirmation and took a pokeball looking similar to ash's but the star being black from red and captured himself

3 shake

3 stars popped up indicating a successful capture

Red held the pokeball high

"BULBASAUR HAS BEEN CAPTURED SUCCESSFULLY" he said in a victorios tone similar to ash

"well since this is over,why don't we finish the business we have left unfinished with damian" kurama said with a smirk leaving everyone except ryoto confused
