Viridian Forest

Ash & Serena were walking through Viridian Forest talking to each other

"So Serena, How's everything in Kalos?" Ash asked

"Everything is going great" Serena said "How are things with you & your family?"

"Oh, it's going awesome" Ash said "I managed to catch a few Pokémon of my own. Right now, I have 5 Pokémon. Pikachu, Pidgey, Spearow, Rattata, & Meowth"

"Wow, you've made good progress" She said

"So, how are your friends & mom in Kalos?" He asked

"They're doing fine," she said

"Hey Serena, do you remember Team Rocket?" He asked

"I do. Why do you ask?" she asked

Ash told Serena about his encounter with the newly revived Team Rocket. She was shocked & surprised

"Ash, you don't think your dad revived Team Rocket?" She asked

"I don't know, but I'm gonna get to the bottom of it" Ash said

"Hey Boss, I caught a Pokémon" Meowth said as he held up a green caterpillar-like Pokémon

"Ra?" the Pokémon said feeling confused

Caterpie, the Worm Pokémon, A Bug Type, Caterpie is recommended for Trainers just starting their journey—it doesn't require much effort to catch & raise this Pokémon, To repel Flying Types that like to attack it, Caterpie produces a terrible smell from its antennae

Serena giggled "Meowth, A trainer's Pokémon doesn't catch a wild Pokémon for them. Trainers have their Pokémon weaken a wild Pokémon & the trainer catches it "

"Oh, but can we keep this one, please" Meowth pleaded hugging the Caterpie. Truth is, he thought Caterpie was adorable.

"Sure, I always wanted a Caterpie" Ash said as he pulled out a Poké Ball & caught the Caterpie

"Y'know Ash, it surprised me when I heard Meowth talk" Serena said "How did he learn how to talk"

"Well, let's just say that he was trying to impress a female Meowth because she preferred being with humans" Ash explained "Unfortunately Meowth's plan didn't work"

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that" Serena apologized

"If you're wondering why he & Pikachu are out of their Poké Balls, it's because they're not comfortable being inside them" Ash explained "That's why I had Professor Oak gave me an extra space, so I could carry 7 Pokémon instead of 6"

"Oh, that's ok." Serena said "Eevee doesn't like being cooped up inside her Poké Ball either"

"Hey Boss, there's another one" Meowth said as he pointed at a light tan worm-like Pokémon with a pink nose. Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone.

Weedle, the Hairy Bug Pokémon, a Bug & Poison Type, Weedle's sense of smell is excellent. With its large nose, it can sniff out the leaves it likes best.

"Alright, Pikachu Use Thunder Shock" Ash said. Pikachu fired a shock of electricity & hit Weedle.

"Go Poké Ball" Ash said as he threw a Poké Ball & caught Weedle

Ash & Serena kept walking through the forest until they stopped at an area to train their Pokémon. In the process of their training a few of Ash's Pokémon evolved, Pidgey evolved into Pidgeotto, Caterpie evolved into Metapod, & Weedle evolved into Kakuna. Serena's Pidgey also evolved into Pidgeotto as well. When Ash's Pidgeotto evolved, Spearow couldn't help but stare at her. Pidgeotto noticed Spearow staring, but she didn't snap at him. She actually smiled & winked at him which caused Spearow to blush & turn away. When they finished training, someone stuck a sword in front of Ash's face.

"Whoa, careful with that!" Ash exclaimed "Someone can lose an eye!"

"Forgive me." the person in a samurai outfit apologized "My name is Samurai & I'm looking for trainers who came from Pallet Town."

"I'm from Pallet Town" Ash said

"Aha, I here by challenge you to a Pokémon battle" Samurai said

"I accept" Ash said with determination

They both got into battle position while Serena stood a few feet behind Ash

"This will be a 2 on 2 battle." Samurai said

"Got it" Ash understood

"Go Pinsir" Samurai said as he sent out a bipedal insectoid Pokémon. Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

Pinsir, The Stag Beetle Pokémon, A Bug Type, Though Pinsir is incredibly tough, it can't cope with cold weather, so it's right at home in the Alola Region—though it does find itself competing with the native Vikavolt. Its horns can lift a much larger foe or topple a tree

"Pidgeotto, I choose you" Ash said as he sent out his Pidgeotto

"Pidgeo!" Pidgeotto said

"Pinsir, Use Vise Grip" Samurai said. Pinsir charged at Pidgeotto while opening its horns

"Pidgeotto, use Aerial Ace" Ash said. Pidgeotto was surrounded by light blue streaks & tackled Pinsir with fast speed. Pinsir stumbled back

"Now, use Air Cutter"

Pidgeotto wings glowed blue & fired light blue X-shaped blades from them which caused Pinsir to faint

"Pinsir return." Samurai said as he returned Pinsir "Go Metapod"

Samurai sent out his Metapod

"Pidgeotto return." Ash said as he returned Pidgeotto "Metapod, I choose you"

Ash sent out his own Metapod

"Metapod use Harden" Samurai said as his Metapod glowed white hardened its body

"Metapod use a combination of Harden & Tackle" said Ash as his Metapod glowed white tackled Samurai's Metapod. Samurai's Metapod fainted.

"Metapod return" Samurai said as he returned his Metapod "That was a clever combo move"

"Thanks" Ash said "I'd like to call it Hard Tackle"

Just then Metapod glowed bluish white & evolved into a purple butterfly-like Pokémon

"Free Freee" he said

"Wow, you evolved into Butterfree" Ash said as he pulled out his Rotom Phone

Butterfree, the Butterfly Pokémon, A Bug & Flying Type, & the evolved form of Metapod, Butterfree's wings are covered in scales that carry poison. When attacked, it flutters it's wings madly to scatter these scales. It's large, compound eyes are formed if many tiny eyes.

Ability: Compound Eyes

Hidden Ability: Tinted Lens

Learned Moves: Bug Bite, Gust, Confusion, Supersonic, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, & Stun Spore

"Wow, he's so beautiful" Serena said in admiration wanting a Butterfree for herself.

After that they bid farewell to Samurai. Then they came across three rodent-like Pokémon, one was purplish pink the other two were light blue. Serena & Ash pulled out there Rotom Phones.

Nidoran Female, the Poison Pin Pokémon, A Poison Type, Though Nidoran Female is small, it's quite dangerous. The barbs in its fur the horn on it head are both extremely poisonous.

Nidoran Male, the Poison Pin Pokémon, a Poison Type, Nidoran Male has excellent hearing , thanks to specialized muscles, it can move rotate its ears to pick up the slightest sound

"Kakuna, I choose you" Ash said as he sent out his Kakuna

"Go Eevee" Serena said as her Eevee stepped forward

"Alright Kakuna, use String Shot" Ash said. Kakuna shot a stream of white thread from his mouth & the Nidoran's got stuck.

"Eevee, use Swift" Serena said. Eevee's tail glowed yellow fired multiple yellow stars from it which weaken the Nidorans

"Go Poké Balls" They both said as Ash threw two Poké Balls at the Male & first Female Nidoran & Serena threw a Poké Ball at the second Nidoran. They successfully caught them.

Ash's Nidoran's Poké Balls teleported to the PC

"Nice work, Eevee" Serena praised

"Eevee" Eevee smiled

"You too, Kakuna" Ash praised

Then Kakuna glowed bluish white & evolved into a light yellow bee-like Pokémon with stinger-like hands.

"Bee!" He buzzed

Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

Beedrill, the Poison Bee Pokémon, a Bug & Poison Type, & the evolved form of Kakuna, Stay far away from a Beedrill nest. These territorial Pokémon will swarm any intruder in a furious attack.

Ability: Swarm

Hidden Ability: Sniper

Learned Moves: Peck, Focus Energy, Twineedle, Rage, Fury Attack, & Pursuit

"Congratulations Beedrill" Ash congratulated

"Beedrill" Beedrill said happily, but then he sensed something "Bee?"

"What's wrong, Beedrill?" Ash asked

Beedrill looked around before flying off, Ash & Serena followed Beedrill until he stopped & looked around again, then he went into the bushes. They followed Beedrill into the bushes, which led them to a pathway that led them to a hidden field filled with different Bug Type Pokémon.

"What is this place?" Serena wondered

"Looks like a hidden paradise for Bug Types" Meowth said

"Hey Beedrill, What's gotten into you, buddy?" Ash asked

"Beedrill Bee Bee" He said while pointing at a cave

"He said he senses some strange kind of energy calling out to him & it's coming from that cave" Meowth translated

Beedrill led them into the cave inside, they saw a staircase with a pedestal on top & some kind of stone was on the pedestal. When they were about to get close to the staircase, A Beedrill Swarm appeared

"Yipe! We're under attack!" Meowth yelped

"Stay calm" Ash told everyone

"Bee Bee Beedrill" The leader of the Beedrill swarm said

"It's challenging us to a battle" Meowth said

"Alright, if it's a battle you want, then it's a battle you'll get. Butterfree, I choose you!" He said as he sent out his Butterfree

"Free Freeee" Butterfree said

the leader fired purple darts from its mouth(Poison Sting) at Butterfree

"Blow it away with Gust" Ash said. Butterfree's wings glowed light blue & released a gust of wind which repelled the darts

the leader stinger-like arms glowed white & fired white orbs trailing green streams of light(Pin Missile) & hit Butterfree. Then its stinger glowed light blue(Peck) & charged at him.

"Use Stun Spore" Ash said. Butterfree flapped his wings & released yellow powder from them which caused the leader to become paralyzed

"Now, use Confusion"

Butterfree's eyes glowed violet & telekinetically slammed the leader into one of the cave walls which caused the leader to faint. Ash came towards the leader, took out a Paralyze Heal & sprayed the leader with it. Then he pulled out a Sitrus Berry & gave it to the leader which it ate. The leader of the Beedrill told its swarm to clear the way. Ash & Serena climbed up the stairs & when they got to the stone on the pedestal, The stone looked like it was made out of glass. It was grey with a black, yellow, & dark yellow S-shaped symbol in it.

"What is this?" Ash wondered as he picked up the stone

"Looks like some sort of jewel" Serena said

"Bee Bee" The leader buzzed

"The leader said we should keep it since it's ours now." Meowth translated

Ash thanked the Beedril. Then one of Beedrill of the swarm gave Ash a little arrow with a purple end. Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

This Item is a Poison Barb, it boosts the power of the holder's Poison Type Moves by 20%

When they got out of the hidden valley

"Whew, that was something" Serena said

"You said it" Meowth agreed along with Pikachu & Eevee

"Hey Ash, do you think Professor Oak knows something about that stone?" Serena asked

"I'm sure he does" Ash said as he returned his Beedrill & Butterfree

So with a few newly captured & evolved Pokémon, an item, & a strange stone. the journey continues
