Pokémon Mansion

The gang had arrived at Cinnabar Island.

"Finally, we made it." Ash said "This is where I could get my 7th Gym Badge"

"It is also where I can revive my Aerodactyl." Brock said

"It says we can revive Aerodactyl at the Cinnabar Lab." Serena said looking at her Rotom Phone

"Alright, first we head to the lab, then we go to the Gym." Ash said

They went to the Cinnabar Lab & Brock gave his Old Amber to the scientist so they could revive Aerodactyl. While they were waiting

"The Cinnabar Island Gym Leader, Blaine, also known as the Hotheaded Quiz Master, once got lost in a treacherous, freezing mountain range until he was guided out of the mountains by the one of the legendary bird Pokémon Moltres & that's what inspired him to train Fire Types. Blaine uses Fire Type Pokémon, you can defeat him by using Water, Ground, & Rock Type Pokémon" Brock said

"Brock, we have successfully revived your Aerodactyl." A scientist said as he gave Brock a Poké Ball with Aerodactyl

"Thanks." Brock said

"There's another thing we're supposed to give you." The scientist said as he gave Brock a package "It's from your parents."

Brock opened the package & saw a Mega Necklace with an Aerodactylite

"No way!" Brock said surprisingly

"Wow Brock, you got a Key Stone." Serena said

"Now, you can perform Mega Evolution." Ash said

They went to the Pokémon Center to get Brock's Aerodactylite worked on, Brock's Aerodactyl wore the Mega Stone in a necklace. Then they went to the Cinnabar Gym.

"Alright, we're here." Ash said as he grabbed the door handle & pulled it, but the door didn't open "Huh? It's locked."

"Ash, look, there's something written on the door." Serena pointed

"Quiz Time! Where's the key that'll let you into this Gym?" Ash read "Hint: The answer can be found somewhere in a building that is overgrown with greenery."

"Classic Blaine & his riddles" Brock said

"Hm, a building that is overgrown with greenery." Ash said thoughtfully

"Wait a minute, I saw a mansion that had vines & leaves around it" Serena said "Maybe the key is there."

When they went to the mansion, not only did it have a few vines on it, but the windows were broken as well. When they went inside & saw broken columns along with holes on the floor & scattered paper & documents

"This must be the Pokémon Mansion." Brock said "It's where a famous researcher used to live."

They searched around the Pokémon Mansion until they got to the basement, then Ash spotted an old diary.

"Hm." Ash said as he sat down on a chair, opened the diary, & read it

"What are you reading, Ash?" Serena asked

"It's some kind of old diary." Ash replied

"What does it say, Boss." Meowth asked

"On July 5, we discovered a new Pokémon called Mew was discovered deep in the jungle of Guyana & found a fossil of its DNA. On February 5, we created a Pokémon from the DNA of Mew & named it Mewtwo." Ash read

"Mewtwo? Then this must be the story of Mewtwo's past." Serena said

"What else does it say?" Brock asked

'September 1, as the years had gone by, my wife & I raised Mewtwo as our own. My fellow researchers & I taught it how to utilize his power & trained him to become the world's most powerful Pokémon. Mewtwo had asked me what his purpose was & I told him that he'll find out sooner or later. Until today, I got a call from the leader of Team Rocket, Phantom. He asked me to give Mewtwo to them, so he could work for them, but I was on to Team Rocket & I refused to let my own son be used as a weapon. After I refused & quickly hung up, I had a feeling that Phantom would come after me & take Mewtwo by force, so I had to act fast. I told my wife & researchers what happened recently, & sent Mewtwo off on his own. He asked me why he was letting me go, but I said nothing told him to leave & never come back, & he was gone. As much as it hurt me to let Mewtwo go, I knew it was the right thing to do to keep him safe. My researchers & I burned down the lab, & my wife & I moved to another town." Ash read

"That pretty much sounds like what Phantom would do." Brock said

"September 8, My wife & I had moved to Lavender Town & started a Pokémon Volunteer Home where we care for abandoned & orphaned Pokémon. This will be the last time I write in this journal of mine, as I'm giving it to Blaine for safe keeping & I hope & pray that Mewtwo will be safe & sound. Sincerely Dr. Fuji" Ash read as he closed the journal & put it down

"Wait, if the journal said Dr. Fuji moved to Lavender Town & started a Pokémon Volunteer Home." Serena said "Then that must mean..."

"Dr. Fuji is Mr. Fuji." They said in surprise & realization

"So Mr. Fuji was the one who created Mewtwo." Serena said

"Guys, I think I know why Mewtwo said that humans took away his family." Ash said "It's because he thought Team Rocket killed Mr. & Mrs. Fuji."

"That must be it, & the reason why Mewtwo said humans use Pokémon as slaves, because he must've been found by Team Rocket & was used by them." Serena said

"& when he came back to the lab which was burned down, that's when he thought Team Rocket was the one who killed them." Brock said

"Do you guys think Mew & Mewtwo is anywhere in the Pokédex?" Meowth asked

Ash & Serena pulled out their Rotom Phones & looked up Mew & Mewtwo

Mewtwo, the Genetic Pokémon, A Psychic Type. Mewtwo is a Pokémon that was created by genetic manipulation. However, even though the scientific power of humans created this Pokémon's body, they failed to endow Mewtwo with a compassionate heart.

Mew, the New Species Pokémon, a Psychic Type. It is said that within Mew's cells rests the entirety of the Pokémon genetic code. This Mythical Pokémon can turn invisible to keep others from noticing it.

"Wait a minute, why did the Pokédex say that they failed to endow Mewtwo with a compassionate heart?" Serena said

"It's probably because, Mr. Fuji never told Mewtwo what his purpose was." Ash said

"Pika Pika." Pikachu said as he sniffed at the book

"What is it, Pikachu?" Ash asked

"Pikachu." Pikachu said as he opened one end of the journal cover, revealing a key that was taped on the inside

"It must be the key to the Cinnabar Gym." Brock said as Ash took the key & put it in his pocket

"Guys, I think we need to ask about Blaine about this," Ash said as he put the journal in his bag "I've got a feel he might know something about it."

"Right." Brock & Serena nodded
