Lavender Town

The gang arrived at a town called Lavender Town

"Why did you wanna come here?" Brock asked

"I'm here to get a Key Stone. Professor Oak said I can get a Key Stone from Mr. Fuji at the Pokémon House in Lavender Town. If I can get a Key Stone, I can Mega Evolve Beedrill & Gyarados." Ash said

When they arrived at the Pokémon House

"Hello, may I help you?" A woman asked

"Yes, I was told by Professor Oak that I could get a Key Stone from Mr. Fuji. Do you know where he is?" Ash asked

"Yes, Mr. Fuji is at the Pokémon Tower at the moment. I'm sure he'll be back any minute now. I'm Mr Fuji's wife, Mrs. Fuji" Mrs. Fuji said

"I'm Ash from Pallet Town & these are my partners Pikachu & Meowth" Ash introduced

"Pika Pika" Pikachu greeted

"Hi" Meowth greeted

"I'm Serena from Vaniville Town & this is my partner Eevee" Serena introduced

"Eevee" Eevee greeted

"I'm Brock, I'm from Pewter City" Brock introduced

"Nice to meet you, just have a seat & wait for my husband." Mrs. Fuji said

30 minutes later

"Geez, what's taking that Fuji guy so long. We've been waiting for 30 minutes" Meowth complained

"I don't know, but I think we should go to the Pokémon Tower & look for him." Ash suggested

When they got to the Pokémon Tower

"So this is the Pokémon Tower." Ash said

"It's giving me the creeps" Meowth said in fear

"Well, we need to find Mr. Fuji. I hope he's not hurt" Serena said

When they entered they saw multiple gravestones, when they got to the 3rd floor

"the Pokémon Tower is actually a cemetery for Pokémon when they die." Brock pointed out

"It kind of makes you feel sad doesn't it? All these Pokémon who are no longer living" Ash said

"Yeah, it is sad" Serena agreed

"Eevee" Eevee agreed

"Pika Pika" Pikachu said as he pointed at something

When the gang looked, they saw a Cubone staring up at the ceiling

"It's a Cubone" Brock said

"Hey Cubone, have you seen a man by the name of Mr. Fuji?" Ash asked

"...Cu" Cubone sighed as he walked past them

"What's wrong with Cubone" Serena asked

"It's probably upset about it's parent, Cubones' are always like that" Brock said

"Poor little guy," Ash said feeling sorry for Cubone "we better press on"

As they walked away, Cubone stopped, looked back at them, & stared. When they got to the 5th floor, Meowth suddenly got lifted off of Ash's shoulder.

"Agh! What's going on?" Meowth yelped

"Meowth." Ash said

Suddenly 3 Pokémon appeared & started laughing, one was a Gastly, the second one was a purple limbless ghost-like Pokémon with hands, & the third one that was holding Meowth by his tail was a dark purple bipedal ghost-like Pokémon with a round body with arms & legs, red eyes, & a wide sinister grin.

"It's a Gastly & its evolution chain" Brock said as Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

Haunter, the Gas Pokémon, A Ghost & Poison Type, & the evolved form of Gastly, Getting licked by the cold tongue of a Haunter is more than simply unpleasant—such a lick can steal your life energy. These Pokémon live in darkness, & city lights can drive them away.

Gengar, The Shadow Pokémon, a Ghost & Poison Type, & the evolved form of Haunter, The sudden onset of an unexplained chill might mean a Gengar is coming toward you. This Pokémon seems to have misunderstood the concept of "making friends"— it tries to create a kindred spirit by attacking humans.

"Put me down, you big buffoons!" Meowth said flailing

"Gengar" Gengar said as it tossed Meowth to Ash

Ash caught Meowth

"Are you alright?" Ash asked

"I'm fine" Meowth said as Ash turned to the Ghost Pokémon

"Listen, we don't have time to play. We're looking for a man named Mr. Fuji. Have you seen him?" Ash asked

"Geng..." Gengar said in a thinking gesture

"Haunter Haunt Haunter." Haunter said

"Haunter said they saw Mr. Fuji being taken to the 7th floor by four men in black clothing with Rs on them" Meowth translated

"Rs?" Serena asked but then realized "Wait a minute, then that means Team Rocket is here."

"They must have taken Mr. Fuji hostage. We have to save him" Brock said

"Brock, go report to Officer Jenny" Ash said

"Right" Brock said as he left

"Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, think you can help us out?" Ash asked as the Pokémon nodded

Meanwhile in the 7th floor

"Alright Fuji, our patience is wearing thin. So you better give us an answer if you know what's good for you." The first grunt said threateningly "Now, we'll ask again, where is that Pokémon you created?"

"I told you already! I have no idea where he is!" Mr. Fuji yelled

"Mr. Fuji, are you up there?" Ash's voice called out

"Oh that's just great, we're being figured out" the first grunt said

"What do we do?" The second grunt asked

"Guess we'll have to scare him away. Come on" the first grunt suggested as he & the second grunt left.

"Gengar" Gengar said appearing behind Mr. Fuji

"Oh Gengar, thank goodness, you're here." Mr. Fuji said in relief "Can you get me out of these ropes?"

"Gengar" Gengar said as he used Will-O-Wisp to burn the ropes

"Thank you, Gengar" Mr. Fuji said

Back with Ash

"Hey, what do you think you're doing here kid" The first grunt said

"Team Rocket, let Mr. Fuji go" Ash demanded

"Forget it, kid. Team Rocket has unfinished business with the old man." The second grunt said

"Oh yeah? Like what?" Ash asked

"That's none of your business, kid. Now get out of here or you will be next to become our hostage" the first grunt warned

"I'm not leaving without Mr. Fuji" Ash said

"Then so be it, Go Koffing" The first grunt said as he sent out a purple spherical Pokémon with a cream colored skull & crossbones below its face

"Koffing" the Pokémon said as Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

Koffing, The Poison Gas Pokémon, A Poison Type, The gases that fill Koffing's body are extremely toxic. When it's under attack, it releases this poisonous gas from jets on its surface.

"In that case, Nidorino, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his Nidorino

"Nido" Nidorino said

"Koffing use Tackle" The first grunt said. Koffing tackled Nidorino which caused him to skid back.

While the 2 grunts were distracted, Serena snuck up to the 7th floor, she saw that the room was guarded by 2 other grunts. The grunts noticed her

"Hey, what are you doing here?" the 3rd grunt said

"Butterfree, use String Shot" Serena said as she sent out her Pink Butterfree

"Free Free" Butterfree said as she shot a stream of white thread from her mouth which wrapped up the grunts.

"You little brat, you'll pay for this." The fourth grunt said angrily

"Gastly" Gastly said as it appeared & used Hypnosis on the grunts causing them to fall asleep

Serena entered the room

"Mr. Fuji?" She said

"Hm? Who are you?" Mr. Fuji asked

"I'm Serena" Serena said "My friend Ash & I are here to help"

Back with Ash

"Use Horn Attack" Ash said. Nidorino horn glowed white & charged at Koffing

"Use Smokescreen" the first grunt said. Koffing released black smoke from its body

"Nido?" Nidorino said as he stopped & looked around

"Stay calm, Nidorino" Ash said

Then suddenly a bone was sent flying & blew away the smoke. Ash turned & saw the Cubone he & the other encountered earlier

"Cubone" Ash said

"Cubone" Cubone said as it caught its bone

"Thanks." Ash smiled as he turned back to Nidorino "Nidorino, use Confusion"

"Nido!" Nidorino said as his eyes glowed violet & telekinetically slammed Koffing into a wall which caused it to faint

"How can I lose to a brat?" The first grunt said as he returned Koffing

Suddenly purple mist swirled around & a ghost appeared

"What the heck is that?" The first grunt said in fear

"I don't know." The second grunt said

"GET OUT!" The ghost yelled as the 2 grunts screamed & ran away

"What's that?" Ash said

"Haunter" Haunter said as it appeared & gave a some sort of gadget

"Boy, use it," Mr. Fuji called out "It's a Silph Scope"

Ash used the Silph Scope & it revealed that the Ghost was a bipedal, dinosaur-like Pokémon that looked like a Cubone but bigger. Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

Marowak, The Bone Keeper Pokémon, A Ground Type, & the evolved form of Cubone, Evolution has transformed this weak & frightened Pokémon into a fearsome foe. Marowak uses bones as projectile weapons against those it considers enemies.

"That must be Cubone's parent" Ash said

"Cubone" Cubone said as it hugged its parents

"Marowak" Marowak said as it hugged Cubone back, ascended to the heavens, & wave goodbye to Cubone

"Cubone" Cubone tearfully said as it waved goodbye & Marowak disappeared

"Hey Cubone, how would you like to come with us?" Ash asked

"Cubone?" Cubone said curiously

"I know I'm not your parent, but I can take care of you. My Pokémon & I will be your family & we'll remind you that you're never alone. Will you accept us as your family?" Ash asked

Cubone stared at Ash for a few seconds & hugged him. Ash pulled out a Poké Ball & caught Cubone

"Ash. Serena." Brock said as he showed up with Officer Jenny & 2 other police officers

"Brock" Ash & Serena said

"Are you two alright?" Brock asked

"We're fine but what about Team Rocket?" Ash asked

"We caught them just as they ran out the door" Jenny said

"The other two are on the next floor" Serena said as Jenny & her partners got up to the next floor

"Honey" Mrs. Fuji called out

"Dear" Mr. Fuji said

"Thank goodness, you're ok." Mrs. Fuji said in relief as she hugged him.

"Haunter" Haunter said as Gengar & Gastly appeared

"Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, thank you for your help" Ash said

"Gengar" Gengar said as it gave Ash a lavender Mega Stone with a purple & red s-shaped symbol

"It's a Gengarite, a Mega Stone that can Mega Evolve Gengar into Mega Gengar" Mr. Fuji said

"Gengar Geng" Gengar said

"Gengar says it's a reward for saving Mr. Fuji & they saw how pure your heart is" Meowth translated

"Haunter Haunt Haunt" Haunter said as it floated towards Ash

"& Haunter says that it wants to become your Pokémon. When it saw the way you battled Team Rocket, it wanted to join us." Meowth translated

"Well, there's no way I could say no to that." Ash said as he pulled out black Poké Ball with green dots

"Ah, it appears you have a Dusk Ball, a Poké Ball that can be used to catch Pokémon at night, caves, or dark places." Mr. Fuji said

"Go Dusk Ball" Ash said as he threw the Dusk Ball at Haunter & captured it

"Awesome, I caught a Haunter" Ash smiled

Gastly & Gengar sadly looked at the Dusk Ball Haunter was captured in

"What's wrong, you two?" Serena asked in concern "Why do look you so sad?"

"They're upset, because Haunter has to separate from them now that he has a trainer." Mr. Fuji said

Serena stared at the two sad Pokémon, but then she got an idea

"I know, how about we take them with us?" Serena said "I can catch Gastly & Brock can catch Gengar. That way they can always be together."

"That's a good idea." Brock said

"How about it you two?" Serena asked Gastly & Gengar "Do you wanna come along with us?"

"Gastly!" Gastly nodded happily

"Gengar!" Gengar nodded happily

Serena caught Gastly with a Dusk Ball & Brock caught Gengar with a Dusk Ball he bought earlier. When they got back to the Pokémon House.

"I see, so you're here for a Key Stone. Well, I have plenty of those, How would you like to wear your Key Stone?" Mr. Fuji asked

"I can wear a Key Stone?" Ash asked

"Of course, Trainers can wear Key Stones just like how Pokemon wear Mega Stones." Mr. Fuji explained "Is there anything you want to wear the Key Stone with?"

"Well, I think I would like to wear my Key Stone in a necklace." Ash said "A Necklace with a Poké Ball"

"A Poké Ball necklace? an interesting choice. Very well, I'll work on it right away" Mr. Fuji said

30 minutes later, Mr. Fuji finished working on the necklace & the Key Stone. The Key Stone at the center of the Poké Ball where the button was.

"Here we are, you're very own Mega Necklace" Mr. Fuji said as he gave Ash the Mega Necklace

"Thanks Mr. Fuji" Ash said as he put on his Mega Necklace

"Also, there's something more I want to give you" Mr. Fuji said as he gave Ash "This is a Charizardite X, It can Mega Evolve Charizard into Mega Charizard X. You see, Charizard has two mega evolved forms, Mega Charizard X & Mega Charizard Y."

"Wow, I didn't know a Pokémon can have two mega evolved forms, but are you sure you want me to have this?" Ash asked

"Yes, take it as a gift for saving me." Mr. Fuji said

When they left Lavender Town

"Hey Rotom, where's the next gym?" Ash asked his Rotom Phone

The next gym is in Celadon City

"Hey Ash, Team Rocket said that they had unfinished business with Mr. Fuji. What could they mean by that?" Serena said in wonder

"I don't know but I'm sure we'll find out soon" Ash said

With some new Pokémon, two new Mega Stones, one Key Stone & Mega Necklace, the journey continues.

Hey Everyone, I decided to have the Kanto Ghost Pokémon trio from the Tower of Terror episode stay together by having Serena catch Gastly, Ash catch Haunter, & Brock catch Gengar. The Cubone & Ghost Marowak thing is based on the games Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, LeafGreen, FireRed, Let's go Pikachu, & Let's go Eevee
