Indigo League Part 8: Ritchie

Ash & Serena was meeting up with Brock, Professor Oak, & Delia.

"Congratulations, on making it to the final rounds, Ash." Oak said "You really showed your opponents?"

"Thanks Professor." Ash said

"We should go out for a big meal to celebrate Ash's victory." Brock suggested

"Agreed. Besides, you have to keep your strength up while you're battling, so I'm making your favorite meal." Delia said.

They went to the restaurant where they saw Giovanni & Red.

"Hey Dad, hey Red." Ash greeted

"Hey, little brother, congrats on winning all four rounds." Red said

"We have a little surprise for you." Giovanni said

"What's that?" Ash asked curiously

"Come inside." Red said

They entered the restaurant & Ash saw a boy with auburn hair, blue eyes, wearing a teal short-sleeve shirt with light yellow trim and a silver zipper, a dark teal vest with a light green collar, a black belt with a silver buckle, teal pants with light yellow pockets, dark blue and indigo sneakers with red dots, dark blue fingerless gloves with aqua borders, and a purple cap with a light yellow band and red buttons. He also had a Mega Ring around his wrist.

"Ritchie!" Ash said happily

"Hi Ash." Ritchie greeted

"I'm so glad to see you." Ash said

"Ash, who's this?" Serena asked

"This is my cousin." Ash said

"Hi, I'm Ritchie, Richie Ketchum." Ritchie said

"Hi Ritchie, I'm Serena & this is my partner Eevee." Serena introduced

"Eevee." Eevee greeted

"I'm Brock, nice to meet you." Brock said

"& these are my partners Pikachu & Meowth." Ash said

"Pika Pi." Pikachu greeted

"Hiya cuz." Meowth greeted

"Whoa, a Pikachu & a talking Meowth, you're very lucky Ash." Ritchie said

"Thanks, are you competing in the Indigo Plateau Conference?" Ash asked

"Yep, I just passed all 4 Fields." Ritchie said

"That's awesome, congratulations." Ash said

While they were eating

"So Ritchie, where are you from?" Brock asked

"I come from Frodomar City, here in the Kanto Region." Ritchie replied

"What type of cousin are you?" Serena asked

"I'm actually a second cousin." Ritchie said

"Remember, you two, when you win your next battle, you'll be allowed to use all six of your Pokémon in each match." Oak said "& you should remember if you keep doing your best, you are winners even if you lose."

"I wonder who your next opponents will be." Delia wondered

"Hey Ash, would you like to meet some of my Pokémon?" Ritchie asked

"Sure." Ash nodded

After they finished eating, they went outside & Ritchie pulled out six Poké Balls

"Come on out, everybody." Ritchie said as he sent out a Charizard that had a ring around its tail with a Charizardite Y in it, a Pikachu with a scruff of fur on the top of its head, a Butterfree, a Tentacruel, a Fearow, & a Dragonite

"Pika/Rargh!/Cruel/Fear!/Free/Gon!" Ritchie's Pokémon said

"Wow Ritchie, your Pokémon look very strong & amazing." Ash said in amazement

"Thanks, I even gave them nicknames, this is Zippo the Charizard, Happy the Butterfree, Sparky the Pikachu, Jelly the Tentacruel, Flaps the Fearow, & Storm the Dragonite." Ritchie said

"Pikachu." Pikachu said as he approached Sparky

"Pika." Sparky said as they sniffed each other

"Pika." Pikachu smiled

"Pikachu." Sparky smiled back

"You're Pokémon look very well-raised." Brock said

"Yeah, we've been through a lot together, especially during our Gym Battles

At Cerulean Gym

"Sparky, Thunderbolt." Ritchie said

"Pika Chuuuuuuu!" Sparky said as it fired a bolt of yellow electricity & hit Starmie which caused it to faint

"Zippo, use Fire Blast." Ritchie said. Zippo fired a 大-shaped blast of yellow-orange fire from his mouth & hit Muk

At Cinnabar Gym

"Jelly, use Hydro Pump." Ritchie said. Jelly fired a powerful blast of water & hit Magmar

"Sounded like you had a blast during your journey." Delia said

"Yeah, & I've learned a lot too." Ritchie said

The next day, it was time for the matchups. Leaf had already won her last match on the Water Field & will be moving on to the Top 16. Ash was up against Ritchie & later they were at the Indigo Stadium(the one from the I Choose You movie), ready for their match.

"Ladies & Gentlemen, today we have a special guest with & he is none other than Professor Oak." The announcer said

"Good Afternoon everyone." Oak said "It's good to be here."

"Now, let's begin the fifth round match between Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town & Ritchie Ketchum of Frodomar City." The announcer said

"This will be a battle between two cousins & hopefully it will be the biggest battle yet." Oak said

"Go Storm!" Ritchie said as he sent out his Dragonite named Storm

"Gon!" Storm bellowed

"Kangaskhan, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his Kangaskhan

"Skhan!" Kangaskhan said

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu cheered

"Kanga." Kangaskhan said as she winked at Pikachu

"Ash has chosen his Kangaskhan while Ritchie has chosen his Dragonite." The announcer said

"This will be a quite intriguing battle between two very rare Pokémon." Oak said

"Battle begin!" The referee said

ASH VS RITCHIE

"Storm, use Extreme Speed." Ritchie said. Storm became surrounded in a green aura & charged at Kangaskhan

"Kangaskhan, use Endure." Ash said as Kangaskhan blocked the attack

"Now, use Mega Punch."

Kangaskhan's fist became surrounded by red energy & punched Storm

"Use Dragon Pulse." Ritchie said. Storm fired a multicolored dragon-shaped beam of energy from its mouth & hit Kangaskhan

"Now, Dragon Dance."

"Gooon!" Dragonite bellowed as he became surrounded in orange energy and it spun around several times

"Use Ice Beam." Ash said. Kangaskhan fired light blue beams of ice from her mouth

"Dodge & use Hurricane." Ritchie said. Storm dodged the attack & released a powerful gust of wind by flapping his wings

"Kanga..." Kangaskhan grunted as she stood her ground.

"Kangaskhan, use Rock Slide." Ash said. Multiple glowing rocks appeared around Kangaskhan, then she launched them & hit Storm.

"Storm, use Brick Break." Ritchie said. Storm's fists glowed bluish white & charged at Kangaskhan

"Use Ice Punch." Kangaskhan's fist became surrounded by icy blue aura & both Pokémon were punching each other repeatedly

"Use Dragon Rush." Ritchie said

"GOOOOOOOON!" Storm bellowed as his horn glowed light blue, became surrounded by light blue dragon-shaped aura & charged at Kangaskhan

"Use Giga Impact." Ash said

"KANGAAAAAAA!" Kangaskhan roared as she became surrounded by a purple aura with spiraling yellow stripes of aura & charged at Dragonite

Both Pokémon clashed into each other which cause an explosion & when the smoke cleared. Both Pokémon had fainted

"Both Pokémon are unable to battle, it's a draw." The referee declared

"Are you okay, Kangaskhan?" Ash asked

"Kanga." Kangaskhan nodded

"Pika Pi." Pikachu said

"Skhan." Kangaskhan smiled as she petted his head

"Return." Ash said as he returned Kangaskhan

"Storm return." Ritchie said as he returned Storm "Go Jelly!"

Ritchie sent out his Tentacruel named Jelly

"Tentacruel." Jelly said

"In that case, Pikachu, I choose you!" Ash said

"Pikachu!" Pikachu said as he entered the battlefield

"Pikachu, use Quick Attack." Ash said. Pikachu became surrounded by light blue aura & charged at Jelly

"Jelly, use Poison Jab." Ritchie said as Jelly's tentacles glowed purple

"Dodge it while using Quick Attack." Ash said

"Pi! Pi! Pi! Pi! Pi!" Pikachu said as he repeatedly dodged the tentacles. When he dodged the last tentacle, he jumped on top of Jelly

"Now, Thunder." Ash said

"Pika!" Pikachu said as he summoned large lightning bolt from above & hit Jelly

"Use Brutal Swing." Ritchie said. Jelly's tentacles glowed pink & spun around throwing Pikachu off of her & caused him to get hit.

"Electro Ball." Ash said. Pikachu fired a yellow ball of of electricity from his tail

"Mirror Coat." Ritchie said. Jelly became covered in rainbow aura & deflected the attack which hit Pikachu

"Use Electric Terrain." Ash said.

"Chuuuuu!" Pikachu said as he released multiple bolts of yellow electricity, causing the surrounding area to glow yellow.

"& Pikachu covers the field with Electric Terrain." The announcer said

"Very useful for Electric Type moves." Oak commented

"Pikachu, it's time." Ash smiled

"Pika." Pikachu said in determination as he glowed yellow with sparks of electricity around him.

"Pikachu, use Pika Papow." Ash said

"PIIIIIIIKAAAAAACHUUUUUUUU!" Pikachu yelled as he fired big multiple bolts of electricity into the air, then a gigantic bolt of lightning came down, hit Jelly & caused a tremendous explosion. When the smoke cleared, Jelly had fainted. The Ritchie & audience were shocked & stunned

"Tentacruel is unable to battle, Pikachu wins." The referee declared

"What was that?" The announcer said shockingly

"That, everyone, is Pika Papow; a special move that only Partner Pikachu who has been chosen by trainers as their first Pokémon can learn." Oak said

"Jelly return." Ritchie said as he returned Jelly "Go Zippo!"

Richie sent out his Charizard named Zippo

"Rargh!" Zippo roared

"Let's go." Ritchie said as he touched the Key Stone on his Mega Ring which shined in a white light "Mega Evolve!"

Zippo glowed bright red-orange & mega evolved into Mega Charizard Y

"Raaargh!" Zippo said as the sunlight became harsh

"Looks like the sun is shining very brightly by Mega Charizard Y's ability Drought." The announcer said

"Zippo, Defog." Ritchie said. Zippo flapped his wings & released a clear white wind which removed the effects of Electric Terrain

"This may be more difficult than I thought." Ash thought before saying "Pikachu, use Zippy Zap."

Pikachu became surrounded by yellow sparks & tackled Zippo at high speed with a burst of electricity

"Use Fire Punch." Ritchie said. Zippo's fist became engulfed in flames & punched Pikachu

"Use Thunderbolt." Ash said

"Pika Chuuuuuu!" Pikachu said as he fired a bolt of yellow electricity.

"Dodge it & use Flamethrower." Ritchie said. Zippo flew up, dodged the attack, shot fire from his mouth & hit Pikachu

"Now Earthquake."

Zippo landed hard on the ground which caused an earthquake which hit Pikachu & caused him to faint

"Pikachu is unable to battle, Charizard wins." The referee declared

"Pikachu return." Ash said as Pikachu went back to him & got petted by him "You were great, buddy."

"Chu." Pikachu smiled

"Charizard, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his own Charizard

"Raargh!" Charizard roared as he & Zippo stared at each other with fire in their eyes

"Are you ready for this Charizard?" Ash asked

"Rargh." Charizard nodded

"Alright." Ash said as he touched the Key Stone of his Mega Necklace which shined in a white light "Mega Evolve!"

Charizard glowed bright red-orange & mega evolved into Mega Charizard X

"Raaaaargh!" Mega Charizard X roared as Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone as he didn't get a chance to look up Mega Charizard X last time

"There it is everyone, a battle between two different mega evolved Charizards aka X vs Y." The announcer said

Type: Fire/Dragon

Ability: Tough Claws

"A Fire & Dragon Type? That's awesome." Ash thought "Pikachu managed to get one hit on Zippo, now it's time for Charizard to do the rest."

"Zippo." Ritchie said

"Charizard." Ash said

"Use Flamethrower!" Both said

Both Zippo & Mega Charizard fired Flamethrower which collided with each other

"Zippo use Rock Slide" Ritchie said. Zippo flew up as Multiple glowing rocks appeared around him & launched them at Mega Charizard X

"Dodge it & use Thunder Punch." Ash said. Mega Charizard X flew towards Zippo while dodging the attack, then his fist became surrounded by yellow electricity & punched him

"Use Dragon Tail." Ritchie said. Zippo's tail became surrounded green scale-patterned aura & hit Mega Charizard X which caused him to fall & hit the ground

"Now, Flare Blitz."

Zippo became surrounded by light red flames with orange spiraling streaks & charged at Mega Charizard X

"Charizard, Rock Smash." Ash said. Mega Charizard X pulled out a boulder from the ground & headbutted it, sending fragments of the boulder flying towards Zippo. The fragments hit Zippo & caused him to crash on the ground.

"Wow, what a way to use Rock Smash." The announcer said surprisingly

"Astounding." Oak said impressively

"Use Dragon Claw." Ash & Ritchie said. Both Zippo & Mega Chaizard flew up as their claws became surrounded by light green claw-shaped aura & clashed & clawed each other.

"Charizard, use Air Slash." Ash said. Mega Charizard X's wings glowed light blue & fired saw disc-like energy blades.

"Dodge & use Smokescreen." Ritchie said. Zippo dodged the attack & released thick black smoke from his mouth.

"Rargh?" Mega Charizard X said as he looked around the smoke

"Stay calm, listen carefully to where Zippo's gonna attack." Ash called out

"Rargh." Mega Charizard X said as he closed his eyes.

"Use Dragon Claw again." Ritchie said as Zippo charged at Mega Charizard X with Dragon Claw

When Zippo got closer to Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard X snapped his eyes open & grabbed Zippo by the wrist

"Alright, use Seismic Toss." Ash said as Mega Charizard X tossed Zippo hard on the ground which caused him to faint & revert back to his previous form

"Ritchie's Charizard is unable to battle, Ash's Charizard wins. So the victory goes to Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town." The referee declared as the crowd cheered

"What an amazing battle, your thoughts, Professor?" The announcer said

"It was an intense yet exciting battle, as I say so myself." Oak complimented "Now that Ash has won this match, he'll be moving on to the Top 8"

"Way to go, Charizard." Ash said as Mega Charizard X landed in front of him & reverted back to his previous form

"Rargh." Charizard said happily as he fist bumped Ash.

"Zippo, return." Ritchie said as he returned Zippo & came up to Ash "Congratulations Ash, your Pokémon were fantastic."

"Thanks Ritch, so were yours." Ash said as he & Ritchie shook hands

A girl with ash-blonde hair with pink paint splattered on the sides styled in two pigtails, gray eyes, wearing a pair of gray overalls, who have a camouflage pattern like her shirt which is beige with a camouflage pattern of pastel green and pink paints, & gray sneakers was watching the match.

"Wow." She said as she was very interested in the bond between Ash and his Pokemon. She was also interested in the move Pika Papow, as it reminded her of something that someone was talking about.

Moltres was impressed in Ash's Charizard

"Perhaps Ash's Charizard could be very worthy." Moltres thought

Hey Everyone, sorry for the long wait. Tev & I were busy talking about some stuff. Tevin suggested that we should use the Indigo Stadium from the I Choose You Movie because of how awesome the Battles are going to look in that Stadium, especially the explosive results and that it would definitely be appropriate for certain reasons. I was going to have Ash use Blastoise against Zippo, but Tev suggested that Ash should use Charizard since he lost against Mega Charizard Y in the movie chapter & it would make up for it. We decided to have Professor Oak be one of the announcers like in the Electric Tale of Pikachu. I'm sorry that you thought Ritchie was gonna use Sparky in the match, but I'll try to think of something, but I can't make any promises. Since it's unknown whether the Spearow or Tentacool belong to Ritchie, I decided to give him both. stay tuned for another chapter. Morpho Out.
