Indigo League Part 5: the Ice Field

Ash & Serena were at the Pokémon Center dropping off his Pokémon, when they saw Jessie

"Jessie." Ash said

"Hey kiddo, James & I saw your matches, Congratulations." Jessie said as she was wearing her pink Pokémon scrub nurse outfit.

"Thanks, I'm guessing you're here due to your job as a Pokémon Nurse." Ash said

"Yep, I can take care of your Pokémon for you." Jessie said

"Thank Jess." Ash said as he gave her his Pokémon with the exception of Pikachu "Don't try to overwork yourself."

"Okay." Jessie said as she left

"All in a day's work." James said as he entered

"Hey James." Ash greeted

"Hey sport, congratulations on your second win." James said

"Thanks, it's two down & two to go." Ash said. "How did Gary & Leaf do?"

"Well, Leaf won her match on the Ice Field & Gary won his match on the Grass Field." James said

"Good, cause I'm really looking forward to battling them." Ash said

"We have no doubts about that." Serena said "Joe certainly put up a good fight."

"Yeah, he told me his dream was to become a teacher." Ash said

"Well, he's certainly gonna be a great teacher." Serena said "After all, he did learn a lot from us & from his journey."

"Yeah." Ash agreed

The next day, Ash & Serena went to Pokémon Village for Ash's next match. He pressed the button & the light stopped on the ice symbol.

"Awesome, we're on the Ice Field." Ash said

Then the screen showed Ash's picture & Keith's picture.

"It's Keith." Ash said surprisingly

"Looks like you & I will be battling again." Keith said walking up to Ash

"Sure seems like it." Ash said "Last time we battled, it ended in a draw."

"At least this battle will give us a chance to settle the score." Keith said in determination

"Right." Ash nodded

At the Ice Field

"Ladies & gentlemen, welcome to the third match between Ash of Pallet Town & Keith on the Ice Field . Let's hope these two Trainers really heat things up." The announcer said

"Hitmonlee, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his Hitmonlee

"Lee." Hitmonlee said

"Go Lapras!" Keith said as he sent out his Lapras

"La!" Lapras said

"Wow, Keith caught a Lapras." Serena said surprisingly

"Battle begin!" The referee said

ASH VS KEITH

"Hitmonlee, use Bulk Up." Ash said

"Hitmonlee!" Hitmonlee as he flexed & became surrounded in crimson aura

"Lapras, use Future Sight." Keith said

"La!" Lapras said as its eyes glowed blue, summoned four wormholes & sent blasts of electrified psychic energy through them.

"Use Rolling Kick." Ash said. Hitmonlee spun & kicked Lapras

"Use Hydro Pump." Keith said. Lapras fired a powerful blast of water from its mouth & hit Hitmonlee

"Use Rock Tomb." Ash said. Hitmonlee became outlined in white energy, multiple gray rocks appeared, & he launched them & hit Lapras

"Use Ice Beam." Keith said. Lapras fired light blue beams of ice from its mouth & hit Hitmonlee

"Use High Jump Kick." Ash said. Hitmonlee jumped with his leg glowing white & thrusted his knee towards Lapras.

"Use Psychic." Keith said. Lapras' eyes glowed light blue, telekinetically stopped Hitmonlee in his tracks, & raised him into the air.

Then the wormholes from before suddenly appeared above Hitmonlee, fired the electrified psychic energy & hit him.

"Lee!" Hitmonlee yelled in pain

"Hitmonlee, Revenge!" Ash called out.

"Hitmonlee!" Hitmonlee yelled as he became surrounded in orange aura, unleashed a burst of orange energy & hit Lapras which sent it flying into a large chunk of ice & faint.

"Lapras is unable to battle, Hitmonlee wins." The referee declared

"Lapras return." Keith said as he returned Lapras "Go Cloyster."

Keith sent out his Cloyster

"Cloyster." Cloyster said

"Lee." Hitmonlee groaned as he fell on one knee & started panting heavily

"Hitmonlee." Ash said in concern

"What's this? It looks like Hitmonlee is nearly out of gas." The announcer said

Ash stared at Hitmonlee, then he smiled & pulled out Hitmonlee's Great Ball

"Hitmonlee, return." Ash said as he returned Hitmonlee "You did great, & I'm proud of you."

"& Ash has recalled Hitmonlee which means he is also down to Two Pokémon." The announcer said

"Poor Hitmonlee." Serena said sadly

"Ash made the right choices in returning Hitmonlee to his Poké Ball." Daisy said "That's proof that he's a caring trainer."

"That's right, Ash doesn't like to see his Pokémon in pain." Serena said

"Magneton, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his Magneton.

"Magneton." Magneton said

"Use Thunderbolt." Ash said

"Magne Tooooooon!" Magneton said as he fired a bolt of yellow electricity

"Cloyster, use Withdraw." Keith said as Cloyster clamped its shell shut & got hit

"Now, use Brine."

Cloyster fired a powerful stream of water from its mouth & hit Magneton

"Use Mirror Shot." Ash said. Magneton becomes coated in light blue aura which forms into a light blue orb of energy, fires it & hits Cloyster.

"Use Icicle Crash." Keith said. Cloyster released a wind with light blue sparkles in it from its mouth which form into large long sharp icicles & hit Magneton

"Use Gyro Ball." Ash said. Magneton's magnets glowed light blue & charged at Cloyster while spinning.

"Cloyster, Razor Shell." Keith said. Cloyster's head spike glowed yellow, formed into a light blue blade of energy, & both Pokémon clashed with each other

"Use Mud Shot." Keith said. Cloyster mouth glowed yellow & fired multiple balls of mud from it

"Magneton, Use Light Screen." Ash said. Magneton summoned a pink curved force field & protected itself.

"Now, Discharge."

"Magneton!" Magneton said as it fired multiple bolts of yellow electricity & hit Cloyster which caused it to faint.

"Cloyster is unable to battle, Magneton wins." The referee declared

"Cloyster return." Keith said as he returned Cloyster "Go Farfetch'd."

Keith sent out his Farfetch'd

"Farfetch'd!" Farfetch'd squawked

"So, he chose Farfetch'd for last, huh? Can't wait to see how much they improved." Ash thought before saying. "Magneton use Thunderbolt."

"Magne." Magneton said as it prepared Thunderbolt

"Farfetch'd, use Mud-Slap." Keith said. Farfetch'd fired a stream of brown mud from his beak & hit Magneton, causing it to fire Thunderbolt at the wrong direction

"Use Wild Charge." Ash said. Magneton becomes surrounded by yellow electricity & charged at Farfetch'd

"Use Feather Dance." Keith said. Farfetch'd flapped its wing & released a shroud of white feathers from them which caught Magneton.

"Now, Heat Wave."

Farfetch'd twirled it's leek & released an orange gust of wind from it which hit Magneton & set the feathers on fire along with it.

"Magneton!" Magneton yelled in pain.

A few seconds later, the fire faded & Magneton fainted.

"Magneton is unable to battle, Farfetch'd wins." The referee declared

"Whoa, what just happened?" Serena said shockingly

"Keith had Farfetch'd use Heat Wave to set the Feather Dance on fire which caused more damage." Daisy said

"Magneton return." Ash said as he returned Magneton "Golduck, I choose you!"

Ash sent out his Golduck.

"Golduck!" Golduck quacked

"Far." Farfetch'd smirked

"Duck." Golduck smirked back

"You've been waiting for this moment, have you?" Ash asked

"Golduck." Golduck nodded

"Ready for this, Farfetch'd?" Keith asked

"Farfetch'd." Farfetch'd nodded

"Golduck, use Hydro Pump." Ash said. Golduck fired a powerful blast of water from his mouth & hit Farfetch'd

"Farfetch'd, Use Air Slash." Keith said. Farfetch'd's leek glowed light blue & fired saw disc-like energy blades from it & hit Golduck.

"Use Ice Punch." Ash said. Golduck's fist became surrounded by icy blue aura & charged at Farfetch'd

"Use Leaf Blade." Keith said. Farfetch'd's leek glowed light green & both Pokémon hit each other

"Wow, Farfetch'd knows Leaf Blade." Serena said surprisingly

"Yep, because of its leek, it's capable of learning that move." Daisy said

"Man, I was surprised when Farfetch'd knew Razor Leaf, now it knows Leaf Blade. I better finish this quickly." Ash thought before saying "Golduck, use Hone Claws."

Golduck's claws glowed light blue & extended

"Then we'll power up as well." Keith said "Farfetch'd use Swords Dance."

"Farfetch'd!" Farfetch'd squawked as several blue swords appeared, circled around him & crossed together

"Use Aqua Tail." Ash said. Golduck's tail becomes surrounded in swirling water & hit Farfetch'd

"Use Night Slash." Farfetch'd's leek glowed purple

"Use Blizzard." Ash said. Golduck released a powerful blizzard from its beak & hit Farfetch'd

"Use Acrobatics." Keith said. Farfetch'd glowed light blue, zips through the air, & tackled Golduck.

"Use Focus Punch." Ash said. Golduck's fist glowed orange & charged at Farfetch'd

"Use Brave Bird." Keith said. Farfetch'd became surrounded in light blue aura & flew straight towards Golduck

Both Pokémon clashed into each other causing an explosion. When the smoke cleared, both Pokémon were panting heavily. Then a few seconds later, Farfetch'd fainted.

"Farfetch'd is unable to battle, Golduck wins. So the victory goes to Ash of Pallet Town." The referee declared

Ash & Keith shook hands.

"I guess you won this time." Keith said

"Yeah, but you were great & so we're your Lapras, Cloyster, & Farfetch'd." Ash said

"Thank you, good luck with the rest of the Indigo Plateau Conference, Ash." Keith said

"You as well with your journey." Ash said

"Golduck" Golduck said as he stuck out his hand to Farfetch'd.

"Farfetch'd." Farfetch'd smiled as he shook it
