Tevinblair: Hello there everybody. I see that everyone else in the review section loved the latest chapter especially with Moltres making a entrance at the Indigo League Stadium as well as deciding to stick around for the whole Indigo Plateau Conference Tournament and of course his League match against Mandi. Now while the original anime series had Kingler effortlessly beat all of Mandi's Pokemon which was amazing by the way, it also unfortunately causes some issues for Ash's other Pokemon that he would've used during this match. Let me explain. You see if his other Pokemon gotten their chance to battle, they would've gotten more battling experience that could've helped them one case either get close to or exactly at the level needed to evolve since some of Ash's Pokemon had no qualms with evolving and in the other case could've gotten his 2 unused Pokemon either that much closer to or exactly learning a new Move that with either case would have greatly improved Ash's chances in the Indigo League AKA The Indigo Plateau Conference Tournament which the writers should've done during that Arc so basically just having Krabby evolve into Kingler and effortlessly wipe out Mandi's Team was kind of a double-edged Sword for both Ash and his Pokemon.

Indigo League Part 4: The Rock Field

Ash & Serena were at Pokémon Village for Ash's next match, he pressed the button & the light stopped on the rock symbol.

"We're on the Rock Field." Ash said

Then the screen showed Ash's picture & Joe's picture.

"Look Ash, you're up against Joe." Serena said surprisingly

Ash was sitting on a bench waiting for his match

"Hey Ash." Joe said

"Oh, hi Joe." Ash said

Joe sat down next to Ash.

"Guess you & I will be battling each other in the next match." Joe said

"Yeah, but we both knew that this was going to happen." Ash said

"You're right about that, at least I have a chance to get a rematch against you." Joe said "Last time we battled, I lost. But now I've gotten stronger with my Pokémon."

"That's good, & during our battle, I want you to give me everything you've got." Ash said

"Right." Joe nodded

At the Rock Field

"The second round in the Rock Field is about to begin, between Trainers Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town & Joe, a former student from Pokémon Technical Institute." The announcer said

"Go Nidoking!" Joe said as he sent out his Nidoking

"Nido!" Nidoking roared

"Porygon, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his Porygon

"Porygon." Porygon said

"Wow, Ash has a Porygon!" Todd beamed as he took pictures

"Battle begin!" The referee said

ASH VS JOE

"Alright, Porygon, use Psybeam." Ash said. Porygon fired a streaky blue beam with pink circles in it from its mouth & hit Nidoking

"Nidoking, Toxic Spikes." Joe said. Nidoking fired a dark purple orb from its into the sky, the orb exploded & smaller dark purple orbs fell to the battlefield and sunk into the ground

"Use Zen Headbutt." Ash said. Porygon became surrounded by a light blue force field & charged at Nidoking with it head

"Dodge it & use Focus Punch." Joe said. Nidoking dodged the attack, then its fist glowed orange & punched Porygon

"You alright?" Ash asked

"Porygon." Porygon said

"Use Poison Jab." Joe said. Nidoking's hand glowed purple & charged at Porygon

"Use Aerial Ace." Ash said. Porygon became surrounded by light blue streaks & both Pokémon clashed into each other

"Use Sharpen."

"Porygon!" Porygon said as it was encased by a cube-shaped block

"Nidoking, use Earth Power." Joe said. Nidoking's fist becomes surrounded by golden aura & slammed his fist into the ground which created cracks with golden energy that travel along the ground

"Porygon, Magnet Rise." Ash said. Porygon emitted yellow sparks of electricity from its body, raised up in the air, & avoided the attack

"Now, use Tri Attack." Ash said. A ball of yellow electric energy, light blue ice energy, and orange fire energy formed around Porygon, then they fired beams & hit Nidoking which caused him to become frozen.

"Nidoking's frozen." Serena said

"That's one of the effects of Tri Attack." Daisy said "It can leave an opponent burned, paralyzed, or frozen after being hit."

"Alright Porygon, wrap it up with Zen Headbutt." Ash said. Porygon hit Nidoking with Zen Headbutt which broke the ice & caused him to faint.

"Nidoking's unable to battle, Porygon wins." The referee declared

"Nidoking return." Joe said "Go Onix."

Joes sent out his Onix

"Groooaar!" Onix roared

"Onix, use Smack Down." Joe said. Onix fired a metallic gold orb of energy from its mouth & hit Porygon which caused it to fall straight down to the ground & become poisoned

"Porygon's poisoned by the Toxic Spikes." Serena said

"That's the thing about Toxic Spikes, once an opponent comes in contact with the ground, it will become poisoned." Daisy said

"Now, use Rock Smash." Joe said. Onix's tail glowed red-orange & hit Porygon which sent it flying into one of the rocks & fainted

"Porygon is unable to battle, Onix wins." The referee declared

"Porygon, return." Ash said as he returned Porygon. "Marowak, I choose you!"

Ash sent out his Marowak

"Marowak." Marowak said before he became poisoned "Maro!"

"Marowak, use Rest." Ash said

"Maro." Marowak said as he fell asleep & glowed bright blue

"Onix, use Iron Tail." Joe said as Onix's tail glowed white

"Marowak, Sleep Talk." Ash said. Marowak's bone glowed light blue, grew longer, & both Pokémon clashed each other.

"Marowak?" Marowak said as he woke up

"Hey Marowak's not poisoned anymore." Serena said

"Mm-hm, not only does Rest heal a Pokémon's health, it can also heal a status condition." Daisy said

"I have to find a way to get rid of those Toxic Spikes, but how?...Wait, that's it!" Ash thought before saying "Marowak use Dig."

Marowak spun his bone & dug underground with it.

"Now, use Sandstorm on the spot."

A Sandstorm came out from underground which blew the Toxic Spikes out of the ground.

"Onix, use Flash Cannon." Joe said. Onix fired a white and light blue beam from its mouth & hit Marowak

"Marowak, Swords Dance."

"Marowak." Marowak said as several blue swords appeared, circled around him & crossed together.

"Now, Bonemerang."

Marowak's bone glowed white, then he threw it at Onix, & Onix got hit twice

"Use Bind." Joe said. Onix grabbed Marowak with its tail & binded him

"Maro!" Marowak groaned in pain

"Marowak, use Bubble Beam." Ash said. Marowak fired a beam of blue bubbles from his mouth & hit Onix which caused it to let go of him. The audience were shocked and amazed that Marowak knew that move.

"Now, Focus Punch."

Marowak's fist glowed orange & punched Onix which caused it to faint

"Onix is unable to battle, Marowak wins." The referee declared

"Onix return." Joe said as he returned Onix "Go Victreebel."

Joe sent out his Victreebel

"Bel!" Victreebel said

"He evolved his Weepinbell." Ash said

"Victreebel, use Swords Dance." Joe said.

"Bel!" Victreebel said as several blue swords appeared, circled around him & crossed together.

"Marowak, use Flamethrower." Ash said as Marowak shot fire from his mouth

"Victreebel use Leaf Tornado." Joe said. Victreebel fired a tornado of wind & light green glowing leaves from its vine which extinguished the Flamethrower

"Use Fire Punch." Ash said. Marowak's fist became engulfed in flames & charged at Victreebel

"Use Grass Knot." Joe said.

"Bel." Victreebel said as its eyes glowed light green & summoned two green glowing vines which grabbed Marowak's leg & tripped him

"Now, Leaf Blade."

Victreebel's leaves glowed light green & slashed Marowak which caused him to faint

"Marowak is unable to battle, Victreebel wins." The referee declared

"Marowak, return." Ash said as he returned Marowak. "Alright, Meowth, I choose you!"

Meowth stepped into the Rock Field.

"Hey Ash, I'm glad you chose Meowth. Victreebel has been wanting to get a rematch against him." Joe called out

"I figured." Ash said "Meowth, Hone Claws."

Meowth's claws glowed white & extended

"Victreebel, Bullet Seed." Joe said. Victreebel fired multiple light green seeds from its mouth & hit Meowth

"Use Pay Day." Ash said. Meowth's charm glowed yellow, multiple golden coin appeared, & he fired them & hit Victreebel

"Use Stun Spore." Joe said. Victreebel released an orange sparkling powder from its mouth

"Use Dig." Ash said. Meowth dug underground & avoided the attack, then he came out & uppercutted Victreebel

"Poison Jab." Joe said. Victreebel's leaf glowed purple & jabbed Meowth

"Use Aerial Ace." Ash said. Meowth became surrounded by light blue streaks & tackled Victreebel with great speed

"Use Energy Ball." Joe said. Victreebel fired an orb of light green energy from its mouth & hit Meowth.

"Meowth, use Night Slash." Ash said. Meowth created a purple energy blade in his hand & charged at Victreebel

"Use Leaf Blade." Joe said as Victreebel charged at Meowth with Leaf Blade

Both Pokémon clashed passed each other, several seconds later Victreebel fainted.

"Victreebel is unable to battle, Meowth wins. So the victory goes to Ash from Pallet Town." The referee declared

Ash & Joe shook hands

"Congratulations Ash." Joe said

"Thanks, you certainly have gotten stronger." Ash complimented "Don't take the loss too hard, Joe. Just because you lost doesn't mean you're weak, you & your Pokémon are stronger than you seem, you know that?"

"Right, I'm aiming to become a teacher someday." Joe said. "Once I become one, I can help my future students, teach them what you taught me & guide them to become great Pokémon Trainers."

"Well, I hope you make a terrific teacher." Ash said

"Hey Ash, we'll always be friends right?" Joe asked

"Of course, me, Serena, & Brock will always be your friends until the very end." Ash said.
