Indigo League Part 12: The Viridian Ace & the Fuschia Swordsmen

The Indigo League was having a short recess before the final battle of the Top 8. Right now, Ash was in the locker room with Pikachu & Meowth, thinking of the last battle with Mina & Neesha. Ever since he saw Shellshocker's last attack which finished off Mina's Kangaskhan, he noticed something very familiar about it.

"Ash?" A voice said

Ash looked & saw Serena, Eevee, Brock, Delia, & Oak.

"Oh, hey guys." Ash said

"What are you doing?" Serena asked

"I was thinking about that move Neesha had her Blastoise used on Kangaskhan." Ash said "What was it called again?"

"I believe she called it 'Aura Sphere'." Brock said

"Yeah, that's it, Aura Sphere." Ash said "That move had the same color as the power I used in HopHopHop Town."

"Hmm, you know you might be onto something, my boy." Oak said

"You think so?" Ash said

"Yes, there may be some sort of connection between Aura Sphere & your second power." Oak said

"I knew it." Ash said

"Maybe we should ask Neesha about that move, she might know something about Aura Sphere." Serena said

"Maybe." Ash said

When the gang found Neesha

"Hey Neesha?" Ash said

"Hey Ash, what's up?" Neesha said

"I wanna talk to you about something, it's about that move Aura Sphere." Ash said

"What about it?" Neesha asked

"Well, I was wondering if you knew something about it." Ash said

"I don't know much, but I do know that Aura Sphere is a Fighting Type Move & an unmissable attack." Neesha said

"Okay, but how did Shellshocker learn Aura Sphere?" Ash asked

"Shellshocker was born knowing that move. You see, Aura Sphere is actually one of Squirtle's Egg Move."

"Oh, I see" Ash said "Thanks for the info, Neesha."

"No problem." Neesha said as she left

"Well, at least we know a little bit about Aura Sphere." Brock said

"Hm." Ash said as he pulled out his Rotom Phone "Hey Rotom, which Pokémon can Squirtle learn the Egg Move Aura Sphere from?"

"Squirtle can learn the Egg Move Aura Sphere from Clawitzer."

"Ash, I don't think that Pokémon is connected with your second power." Serena said looking at the picture of Clawitzer

"Me neither, but we'll find out more about Aura Sphere soon." Ash said

After the recess was over

"Welcome back everyone to the final round of the Top 8 between Ace Trainer Corey of Viridian City & Swordsman-in-training Otoshi of Fuschia City."

"Go Marowak!" Otoshi said as he sent out a Marowak

"Marowak!" Marowak said

"Go Seaking!" Corey said as he sent out a Seaking

"Seaking." Seaking said

"Seaking? Doesn't Corey need a water battlefield to battle with his Seaking?" Serena asked confusingly

"Actually, he doesn't." Daisy said

"Why not?" Meowth asked

"Water Type Pokémon like Seaking & Horsea don't need water in order to battle. In fact, they have the ability to float in midair" Daisy explained

"You mean like levitation?" Leaf asked surprisingly

"Yes, all fish-like Pokémon have the ability to do that when they're battling on dry land." Daisy said

"All except for Magikarp & we all know how that is." Delia said

"That's right." Meowth nodded in agreement

"Pika Pi." Pikachu agreed

"Vee." Eevee agreed

"Battle begin!" The referee said

COREY VS OTOSHI

"Seaking, use Fury Attack." Corey said

"Marowak, Bone Club." Otoshi said

Seaking & Marowak's horn/bone glowed white & repeatedly clashed each other

"Use Water Pulse." Corey said. Seaking fired a blue orb of water from its mouth & hit Marowak

"Brbrbrbrbrbr!' Marowak said as he shook it off

"You'll have to do better than that, I trained my Marowak to withstand water." Otoshi said

"Well, if that's the case, then use Megahorn." Corey said. Seaking's horn glowed green & charged at Marowak

"Bone Rush." Otoshi said. Marowak's bone glowed light blue, grew longer, & blocked Megahorn. Then Marowak forcefully pushed Seaking back with one swing.

"Use Laser Focus."

"Maro." Marowak said as its glowed light orange for a second

"Seaking, use Horn Drill." Corey said. Seaking became surrounded by light blue spiraling streaks & charged at Marowak

"Marowak, use Thunder Punch." Otoshi said. Marowak's fist became surrounded by yellow electricity, dodged the attack & punched Seaking to the ground causing an explosion. When the smoke cleared, Seaking had fainted.

"Seaking is unable to battle, Marowak wins." The referee declared

"That was pretty quick." Gary said

"Wow, that Marowak took out Seaking in one hit." Meowth said shockingly

"I think Seaking did pretty well battling on dry land." Serena said "Hey Ash, we should try that with our fish Pokémon."

"Definitely." Ash said

"Seaking, return." Corey said as he returned Seaking "Go Rhydon!"

Corey sent out his Rhydon

"Don!" Rhydon roared

"Corey's Rhyhorn evolved." Ash said

"Alright, Rhydon." Corey said

"Marowak." Otoshi said

"Use Brick Break." Both said

"Maro." Marowak said as its arm glowed bluish white

"Rhy." Rhydon said as its arm glowed bluish white

"Don!/Wak!" Both said as they clashed each other causing a shockwave

"Use Ice Punch." Corey said. Rhydon's fist became surrounded by icy blue aura & punched Marowak

"Two can play that when it comes to Ice Type attacks. Marowak, Ice Beam." Otoshi said

"Marowak!" Marowak said as it fired light blue beams of ice from its mouth & hit Rhydon

"Use Stealth Rock." Corey said.

"Doooooon!" Rhydon roared as a swirl of sand & jagged rocks formed around it before stopping & sending the rocks floating around the battlefield, where they disappear

"Stealth Rock, what's that?" Leaf said

"You'll see when Otoshi brings out his next Pokémon." Delia said

"Use Bonemerang." Otoshi said as Marowak's bone glowed white & threw it

"Iron Defense." Corey said. Rhydon turns a shiny metallic color & got hit twice

"Now Drill Run."

Rhydon spun like a drill & hit Marowak

"Use Stomping Tantrum." Otoshi said. Marowak's feet glowed orange & repeatedly stomped on the ground, sending multiple splinters from the ground which hit Rhydon

"Don..." Rhydon winced as it tried to withstand the attack

"It's weakening, keep it coming." Otoshi said as Marowak continued the attack

"Rhydon, Fury Attack." Corey said. Rhydon's fists became surrounded by transparent blue energy & repeatedly punched through the splinters while charging at Marowak

"Recognize that technique, Misty?" Brock asked

"I do, it's similar to the technique Ash used in our Gym Battle." Misty said

Rhydon repeatedly tried to hit Marowak with Fury Attack, but Marowak was using its bone like a sword to block the punched

"Marowak is a real swordsman just like it's Trainer." The Announcer said

"It is true that Pokémon can resemble their trainers." Oak said

"Use Ice Fang on the bone." Corey said. Rhydon's fangs glowed ice blue & bit Marowak's bone before ice started forming around it & Marowak's hands

"Maro!" Marowak gasped shockingly

"Alright, now Iron Tail." Corey said

Rhydon's tail glowed white & hit Marowak

"Marowak, Laser Focus." Otoshi said

"Marowak." Marowak said as it used Laser Focus

"Now, Bone Rush." Otoshi said. Marowak used Bone Rush to break it along with its hands out of the ice & charged at Rhydon

"Horn Drill." Corey said. Rhydon became surrounded by light blue spiraling streaks & charged at Marowak & Both Pokémon clashed past each other. A moment later, Marowak & Rhydon fainted

"Both Pokémon are unable to battle, it's a draw." The Referee declared

"& both Pokémon are out in a draw." The announcer said

"Corey may have lost his second Pokémon, but he managed to defeat Otoshi's Marowak." Oak said

"Return." Corey & Otoshi said as they returned their Pokémon

"You've done well, Marowak." Otoshi said "Go Dodrio!"

Otoshi sent out a Dodrio

"Dooooo!" Dodrio cawed

Suddenly one of the rocks from before appeared & hit Dodrio

"Dodrio!" Otoshi said

"Dodrio has been hit!" The announcer said

"That's the effect of Stealth Rock, when the opponent sends another Pokémon out, the Pokémon will take damage from the attack & the effect lasts until the battle is over." Oak said

"So, that's what Stealth Rock does." Serena said

"Otoshi better think of something to get rid of Stealth Rock." Delia said

"Go Flareon!" Corey said as he sent out a Flareon

"Flare!" Flareon said

"Dodrio, use Acupressure." Otoshi said. Dodrio's left & right heads' beaks glowed blue & applied pressure to the middle head with them causing its eyes to glow blue

"Looks like Dodrio is starting off with Acupressure, but which of its stat will increase? Your thoughts Professor?" The Announcer said

"Who knows, either way Otoshi & Dodrio should make good use of it after using Acupressure." Oak said

"Flareon, use Flamethrower." Corey said

"Flare!" Flareon said as it shot fire from its mouth

"Use Agility." Otoshi said as Dodrio dodged the attack & charged at Flareon "Now, use Drill Peck."

Dodrio's beaks glowed yellow, spun like drills, & pecked Flareon

"We'll have to match Dodrio's speed, use Flame Charge." Corey said. Flareon became surrounded by red flames & tackled Dodrio

"Stomping Tantrum." Otoshi said. Dodrio's feet glowed orange & repeatedly stomped on the ground, sending multiple splinters from the ground.

"Quick Attack." Corey said. Flareon became surrounded by light blue aura & dodged the splinters while charging at Dodrio before jumping on its back

"Do?" Dodrio said

"Now, Fire Fang." Corey said.

"Flare!" Flareon said as its fangs glowed red-orange & bit Dodrio

"Dooooo!" Dodrio screeched in pain

"Get it off with Pluck." Otoshi said. Dodrio's beaks glowed light blue & repeatedly pecked Flareon off of it.

"Use Flame Charge." Corey said as Flareon charged at Dodrio with Flame Charge

"Aerial Ace." Otoshi said. Dodrio became surrounded by light blue streaks & clashed into Flareon causing an explosion & both Pokémon to skid back

"Use Drill Peck."

Dodrio charged at Flareon with Drill Peck

"Use Double Team." Corey said. Flareon glowed white, created multiple copies of himself & avoided the attack.

"Now, use Smog."

"Flare!" Flareon said as it & its copies released thick gray smoke from their mouths which covered the battlefield

"Air Cutter." Otoshi said.

"Do!" Dodrio said as it jumped, then it spun around while firing multiple light blue blades of energy which blew away the Smog & hit the copies & the real Flareon

"I admit you might be one of the strongest opponents I have ever faced in battle." Otoshi compliment

"Thanks, but it's not over yet, Flareon, use Flamethrower." Corey said as Flareon fired Flamethrower

"Dodrio, Dodge & Tri Attack." Otoshi said as Dodrio dodged the attack

"Doooo!" Dodrio cawed as it fired three orbs of yellow electric energy, light blue ice energy, & orange fire energy from their beaks

"Watch out." Corey called out as Flareon dodged the electric orb & ice orb, but got hit by the fire orb "Flareon!"

"FLAAAAAAAAAARE!" Flareon roared as it glowed red

"Hey, that's Flash Fire." Serena said as she remembered Lara's Ponyta's Flash Fire

"Flareon's Ability must've activated when it got hit by the fire of the Tri Attack." Gary said

"Wow, I'm definitely learning new techniques from these battles." Ash said

"We should put them to good use." Meowth said

"Ee/Pi." Pikachu & Eevee nodded in agreement

"Alright, let's end this with Fire Blast." Corey said

"FLARE!" Flareon said as it fired a 大-shaped blast of yellow-orange fire from its mouth & hit Dodrio which caused it to faint

"Dodrio is unable to battle, Flareon wins." The referee declared

"Dodrio return." Otoshi said "Go Persian!"

Otoshi sent out a Persian

"Perrr." Persian said before it got hit by Stealth Rock "Per!"

"Are you alright?" Otoshi asked

"Per." Persian said as it shook it off

"Use Nasty Plot." Otoshi said

"Per." Persian said as a cloud with a question mark in the center appeared above its head

"Flareon, Fire Fang." Corey said as Flareon charged with Fire Fang

"Persian, Water Pulse." Otoshi said. Persian fired a blue orb of water from its mouth & hit Flareon

"Use Quick Attack." Corey said as Flareon charged with Quick Attack

"Fury Swipes." Otoshi said. Persian's claws glowed & grew longer as both Pokémon clashed each other repeatedly with their attacks

"Use Dig." Corey said as Flareon dug underground

"Per? Per?" Persian looked around

"Now, Lava Plume." Corey said. Suddenly the ground underneath Persian exploded in a mixture of smog and fire which hit it

"Use Power Gem." Otoshi said. Persian fired a pale pink beam from its jewel

"Double Team." Corey said as Flareon avoided the attack with Double Team

"Swift." Otoshi said. Persian fired multiple yellow starts from its jewel & hit Flareon & the copies

"Use Flamethrower." Corey said as Flareon fired Flamethrower

"Use Power Gem." Otoshi said. Persian fired Power Gem which broke through Flamethrower & hit Flareon which caused it to faint.

"Flareon is unable to battle, Persian wins." The referee declared

"Return Flareon." Corey said as he returned Flareon "Go Hitmonlee!"

Corey sent out his Hitmonlee

"Lee." Hitmonlee said

"Persian, use Slash." Otoshi said. Persian's claw glowed white, grew longer & charged at Hitmonlee

"Hitmonlee, use Double Kick." Corey said. Hitmonlee kicked & clashed with Persian before he kicked it away with his other foot

"Use Shadow Ball." Otoshi said. Persian fired a black & purple ball of shadow energy & hit Hitmonlee

"Use Rolling Kick." Corey said as Hitmonlee spun & charged as Persian

"Protect." Otoshi said

"Per." Persian said as it summoned a turquoise force field & protected itself

"Use Feint." Corey said. Hitmonlee's foot glowed orange, smashed through Protect, & kicked Persian

"Use Play Rough." Otoshi said. Persian cloaked it with a thick, white smoke surrounded by stars while hitting Hitmonlee repeatedly

"Revenge." Corey said

"Hitmonlee!" Hitmonlee yelled as he became surrounded in orange aura, unleashed a burst of orange energy which hit & pushed Persian away

"Use Hyper Beam." Otoshi said

"Perr!" Persian said as it fired an orange beam of energy from its jewel

"Detect." Corey said

"Lee." Hitmonlee said as his eyes glowed light blue for a moment & dodged the attack

"Now, finish with Focus Blast." Corey said. Hitmonlee fired an orb of yellow energy from his hands & hit Persian causing it to faint

"Persian is unable to battle, Hitmonlee wins." The referee declared

"Persian, return." Otoshi said as he returned Persian "Go Kabutops!"

Otoshi sent out a Kabutops

"Kabutops." Kabutops said before one of the rocks of the Stealth Rock appeared

"Not this time, Kabutops, Rapid Spin." Otoshi said

"Kabutops!" Kabutops said as it spun in a counterclockwise direction which released a pulse & destroyed the invisible rocks

"& Stealth Rock has been obliterated by Rapid Spin." The Announcer said

"Now, Stealth Rock won't be a problem for Otoshi now." Oak commented

"Now that Stealth Rock is out of the way, use Rain Dance." Otoshi said

"Tooooooooops!" Kabutops said as it summoned dark clouds & heavy rain

"Hitmonlee, High Jump Kick." Corey said. Hitmonlee jumped with his leg glowing white & thrusted his knee towards Kabutops

"Kabu!" Kabutops said as he swiftly dodged the attack

"Lee!" Hitmonlee winced & held his knee in pain

"Huh?" Corey said surprisingly

"What happened?" Leaf said

"Kabutops' Ability must be Swift Swim, its Speed is doubled when it rains." Blue said

"Now, it's our turn, Kabutops, use Hydro Pump." Otoshi said

"Kabutops!" Kabutops said as it fired a powerful blast of water & hit Hitmonlee

"Use Low Kick." Corey said as Hitmonlee charged at Kabutops

"Aerial Ace." Otoshi said. Kabutops became surrounded by light blue streaks, dodged the attack & tackled Hitmonlee.

"Now, Hitmonlee, use Revenge." Corey said as Hitmonlee used Revenge & hit Kabutops

"Clever, now Metal Sound." Otoshi said. Kabutops put its scythe-like hands together creating white sound waves

"Lee!" Hitmonlee covered his ears

"Use Focus Blast." Corey said as Hitmonlee fired Focus Blast

"Tops!" Kabutops said as it dodged the attack

"Good, use Scald." Otoshi said. Kabutops released a stream of scalding hot water surrounded by steam from its mouth & hit Hitmonlee

"Brick Break." Corey said as Hitmonlee's hand glowed bluish white & charged at Kabutops

"Slash." Otoshi said. Kabutops' scythe-like hands glowed white & both Pokémon clashed each other repeatedly

"I gotta do something about that speed. Wait, that's it!" Corey thought before saying "Use Mind Reader."

"Hit." Hitmonlee said as his eyes glowed white for a second

"Now, Low Sweep." Corey said as Hitmonlee gave Kabutops a low kick to the leg

"Tops!" Kabutops winced in pain

"Oh no!" Otoshi gasped

"That should do it." Corey said "Hitmonlee, use High Jump Kick."

Hitmonlee charged at Kabutops with High Jump Kick

"Kabutops, Aqua Jet." Otoshi said. Kabutops became surrounded by water, shot itself like a rocket & clashed into Hitmonlee

"Close Combat." Corey said. Hitmonlee repeatedly punched Kabutops at fast speed & delivered a final kick causing it to stumble back & faint as the Rain Dance disappeared

"Kabutops is unable to battle, Hitmonlee wins." The referee declared

"Hitmonlee wins again as things were getting intense." The Announcer said

"Yes, it seems Corey is catching up." Oak said

"Kabutops, return." Otoshi said "Go Arbok!"

Otoshi sent out an Arbok

"Chabok!" Arbok hissed

"Arbok, use Toxic." Otoshi said

"Cha!" Arbok said as it released a thick stream of purple liquid from its mouth & hit Hitmonlee

"Hitmonlee." Hitmonlee groaned as he was poisoned

"Now, double the damage with Venoshock." Otoshi said

"Bok!" Arbok said as it fired multiple dark purple blobs of poison from its mouth & hit Hitmonlee which caused him to faint

"Hitmonlee is unable to battle, Arbok wins." The referee declared

"Venoshock sure is bad news when the Pokémon is poisoned." Serena said

"Yeah, remember when Flareon, Jolteon, & Jigglypuff went through that, Boss?" Meowth said

"I'll never forget." Ash said

"You did the same thing with your Gloom, Serena." Leaf said

"Good job Hitmonlee, return." Corey said as it returned Hitmonlee "Go Electrode!"

Corey sent out an Electrode

"Electrode." Electrode said

"This should be easy, Arbok, use Mud Bomb." Otoshi said

"Cha!" Arbok said as it fired a brown ball of explosive mud from his mouth

"Electrode, Mirror Coat." Corey said

"Trode." Electrode said as it became covered in rainbow aura & deflected the attack which hit Arbok

"Wasn't expecting that, Use Poison Fang." Otoshi said. Arbok teeth glowed purple, created teeth-like aura, & bit Electrode

"Use Charge Beam." Corey said

"Electrode!" Electrode said as it fired a beam of yellow electricity

"Use Double Team." Otoshi said

"Chabok." Arbok said as it glowed white, created multiple copies of himself & avoided the attack.

"Now, Sludge Bomb." Otoshi said. Arbok & it's copies fired multiple brown blobs of explosive sludge from their mouth

"Electrode, Light Screen." Corey said. Electrode said as it summoned a pink curved force field & protected itself.

"Haze." Otoshi said. Arbok released thick black smoke from its mouth which removed the Light Screen

"Now again, Sludge Bomb."

Arbok fired Sludge Bomb & hit Electrode

"Use Thunderbolt!" Corey said

"Elec TROOOOOOOODE!" Electrode said as it fired a bolt of yellow electricity & hit Arbok

"Use Earthquake." Otoshi said. Arbok slammed its tail on the ground causing an earthquake

"Electrode, Magnet Rise." Corey said. Electrode emitted yellow sparks of electricity from its body, raising it off the ground & avoiding the attack

"Now, Rollout."

Electrode rolled towards Arbok at fast speed

"Screech." Otoshi said

"CHAAAAAAAAA!" Arbok screeched as white shockwaves came out of its mouth, but Electrode kept rolling & hit Arbok

"What!?" Otoshi gasped

"Why didn't Electrode stop?" Serena said

"Because Electrode's Ability is Soundproof, an Ability that makes the Pokémon immune to sound-based moves." Ash said

"Arbok, Stockpile." Otoshi said

"Cha." Arbok said as it glowed purple as it got hit repeatedly by Rollout

"Again." Otoshi said

"Bok." Arbok said as it used Stockpile again

"Electrode, Wild Charge." Corey said. Electrode becomes surrounded by yellow electricity & charged at Arbok

"Now, Spit Up!" Otoshi said

"Cha BOOOOOK!" Arbok said as it fired a purple & white beam from its mouth which collided with Electrode & caused an explosion. When the smoke cleared, both Pokémon were still standing.

"Cha...cha..." Arbok heavily panted

"Trode...trode..." Electrode said

"Use Charge Beam." Corey said as Electrode fired Charge Beam

"Dodge & use Wrap." Otoshi said. Arbok dodged the attack, wrapped its body around Electrode & squeezed

"Electrode!" Electrode yelled in pain

"Looks like I have to use desperate measures, I'm sorry, Electrode." Corey said before saying "Use Explosion!"

"ELECTROOOOOOOODE!" Electrode said as he glowed red & caused a huge explosion. When the smoke cleared, both Pokémon had fainted.

"Both Pokémon are unable to battle, it's a draw." The referee declared

"What an explosive finish, now both trainers are down to one Pokémon." The announcer said

"Return." Corey & Otoshi said as they returned their Pokémon

"I'm guessing Corey's last Pokémon is his Venusaur Bruteroot." Meowth said

"Maybe, or he might choose another Pokémon." Delia said

"Go Gengar!" Otoshi said as he sent out a Gengar

"Gengar." Gengar said

"Go Alakazam!" Corey said as he sent out an Alakazam

"Alakazam." Alakazam said

"You were right, Mrs. Ketchum, he did choose another Pokémon." Leaf said

"Awesome, I always wanted to see a battle between a Gengar & an Alakazam." Ash said

"Corey, how about you & I bring up a real challenge." Otoshi said as he unsheathed his sword, held it up in front of his face & turned it to the side revealing a Key Stone on the hilt.

"You've read my mind." Corey said as he pulled up his sleeve revealing a Mega Ring on his wrist

"Geng." Gengar said as it raised its arm revealing an arm band with a Gengarite in it

"Ala." Alakazam said as it raised its spoon with a clear-colored Mega Stone with a yellow, brown, & light brown S-shaped symbol in the center attached to it

"Mega Evolve!" Corey & Otoshi said as they touched their Key Stones which shined in a white light.

Gengar & Alakazam glowed bright red-orange & mega evolved into Mega Gengar & Mega Alakazam. Mega Alakazam's mustache had turned white, longer & bushier along with growing a white beard. The armor-like sections became bulkier & its upper body section became slightly shorter to reveal its thin stomach. The ear-like spikes became slightly shorter & a larger spike formed on top of its head. It gained an oval, red organ in the center of its forehead & Its lower legs became longer & slimmer & its feet became skinnier which resembled talons. It also gained three additional spoons, for a total of five which levitated in the air

"Geng/Ala." Mega Gengar & Mega Alakazam said in determination

"Wow, Mega Alakazam looks really cool." Ash said

"It looks like an old man." Gary said

"I think it has one spoon too many." Meowth said

"Gengar, Shadow Punch." Otoshi said. Mega Gengar's fist became surrounded by black & purple aura & charged at Alakazam

"Alakazam, use Reflect." Corey said

"Ala!" Mega Alakazam said as it's spoons formed the shape of a pentagon which summoned a shining rainbow-colored round barrier & protected itself

"Now, Psycho Cut." Corey said. Mega Alakazam's spoons glowed pink

which released pink crescent-like blade of energy & hit Mega Gengar

"Use Night Shade." Otoshi said.

"Gengar!" Mega Gengar said as it fired a dark crimson beam outlined in pink from its eyes & hit Mega Alakazam

"Use Calm Mind." Corey said

"Alakazam." Mega Alakazam said as it closed its eyes & blue green ripples entered its mind.

"Use Shadow Ball." Otoshi said. Mega Gengar fired multiple black & purple balls of shadow energy

"Psycho Cut." Corey said as Mega Alakazam cut the Shadows Balls in half with Psycho Cut before they exploded

"Geng." Mega Gengar said as it appeared behind Mega Alakazam

"Ala?" Mega Alakazam said as it looked back

"Use Sucker Punch." Otoshi said. Mega Gengar's fist glowed purple, but the attack was blocked by Reflect

"Heh, guess you forgot that Reflect was there." Corey said

"I was only doing that to get your guard down." Otoshi smirked "Use Brick Break & back."

Mega Gengar's other fist glowed bluish white, smashed through Reflect before hitting Mega Gengar with Sucker Punch

"Use Psyshock." Corey said. Mega Alakazam fired streams of purple energy from its spoons & hit Mega Gengar

"Use Sludge Bomb." Otoshi said. Mega Gengar fired multiple brown blobs of explosive sludge from its mouth

"Teleport." Corey said as Mega Alakazam teleported repeatedly & avoided Sludge Bomb

"Ice Punch." Otoshi said. Mega Gengar's fist became surrounded by icy blue aura

"Thunder Punch." Corey said. Mega Alakazam's fist became surrounded by yellow electricity clashed with Mega Gengar

"Now's our chance, Thunder Wave." Otoshi said

"Gengar." Mega Gengar said as it released yellow rings of electricity from its third eye & hit Mega Alakazam

"Ala!" Mega Alakazam said as it was paralyzed

"It's paralysis may not keep it from moving due to its Ability, but it's able to slow it down." Otoshi thought

"Alakazam, are you okay?" Corey called out

"Alakazam." Mega Alakazam nodded

"Then use Psybeam." Corey said. Mega Alakazam fired streaky blue beams with pink circles in them from its spoons

"Phantom Force." Otoshi said as Mega Gengar sinked into a purple portal & avoided the attack

"Looks like it's now or never, use Future Sight." Corey said

"Alakazam!" Mega Alakazam said as its eyes glowed blue, summoned four wormholes & sent blasts of electrified psychic energy through them. Just then a purple portal appeared below it

"Watch out!" Corey said as Mega Alakazam avoided getting hit by Mega Gengar "That was close."

"Use Lick." Otoshi said. Mega Gengar's tongue extended towards Mega Alakazam

"Psychic." Corey said

"Kazam!" Mega Alakazam said as its eyes glowed light blue, telekinetically stopped Mega Gengar's tongue & held them in place

"Use Payback." Otoshi said

"GENGAR!" Mega Gengar said as it unleashed a burst of purple energy which hit Mega Alakazam

"Now, Shadow Ball." Otoshi said as Mega Gengar fired multiple Shadow Balls

"Try to avoid them all!" Corey said

Mega Alakazam barely dodged a few of them & used it's spoons to collide with 5 of them, but Mega Alakazam got hit by one of them which caused it to fall on the ground

"Alakazam!" Corey gasped

"A...la..." Mega Alakazam panted heavily as it sat up

"Hang in there, try to get up." Corey called out

"It's too late, it's time for us to finish this, Gengar use Hex." Otoshi said

"Geng." Mega Gengar said it's eyes glowed purple & red, then he created a sphere of black energy with a red eye in the middle

Suddenly the wormholes from before suddenly appeared above Mega Gengar & fired the electrified psychic energy at it

"GEEEEENGAAAAAAR!" Mega Gengar yelled in pain as an explosion occurred

"Gengar!" Otoshi gasped

When the smoke cleared Mega Gengar had fainted & reverted back to its previous stage

"Gengar is unable to battle, Alakazam wins." The referee declared "So the victory goes to Corey."

"Outstanding, after a close shave, Corey had managed to win this battle & was saved by Future Sight causing him to move on to the Top 4." The Announcer said

"Yes, now that this battles of the Quarterfinals are over, we can move on to the Semifinals." Oak said

Corey & Otoshi shook hands

"Thank you so much for battling me, you were a real challenge." Otoshi said gratefully

"Thanks, so were you, you nearly got me cornered." Corey said

"I wish you luck in the Top 4 of the Indigo Plateau Conference, until then my friend." Otoshi said as he left

Later

"It's time for Top 4 matchups of the Indigo Plateau Conference." The announcer said as Ash, Corey, Neesha, & Fergus' pictures showed up on the screen "First match of the Top 4 will be Ash vs. Neesha."

"Looks like we're up against each other, Neesha." Ash said

"Yep, I've been looking forward to battling you." Neesha agreed

"& the second match will be Corey vs. Fergus." The announcer said

"Awesome, I can't wait for our battle." Fergus said

"Me too." Corey said

Now that the Top 8 battles have come to an end, it's now time for the Top 4 battles with Ash, Neesha, Corey, & Fergus. 4 Pokémon Trainer remain & only one will be victorious, find out as the battles continue

Whew! Finally, after over a year long hiatus, this story has finally been updated. I'm EXTREMELY sorry that it tooks so long, but no worries I'm back on track for this story. I was gonna have Corey's Scyther & Venusaur be in this battle, but I decided to go with Alakazam as the final Pokémon for a change, same goes for Electrode. As for Seaking battling on dry land, I asked Tev how do fish-like Pokémon like Seaking & Horsea battle in dry land, I mean do they levitate. Tev said that it's a possibility due to it being related to flying fish. I mean in the games, fish-like Pokémon do battle in dry land & they do like levitate in midair. Speaking of Tev, I haven't talked to him in a long time, so I hope he's still active. Also I know Tri Attack is a Normal Type move, but I had to think of a new battle strategy.
