The gang have arrived at Fuchsia City

"The Fuchsia Gym Leader, Koga, also known as the Poisonous Ninja Master, is a ninja master of ninjutsu, he's a teacher who students in the art of Ninjutsu & Pokémon, he studied medicine & antidotes; he even makes his own potions to heal his own Pokémon. Koga uses Poison Type Pokémon, you can defeat him by using Psychic & Ground Type Pokémon." Brock said

"Hm, the only Ground Types I have are Sandslash & Cubone." Ash said

"Ash, you know that Koga, & the last 2 Gym Leaders are gonna be a lot tougher than Brock & the other Gym Leaders." Serena mentioned

"I'm always up for a challenge." Ash said

When they went to the Gym, they entered & saw that the gym was empty. Suddenly a puff of smoke appeared in front of the gang, & when it cleared, they saw a woman with green hair styled in a ponytail, blue eyes, & a pink & red ninja outfit.

"Greetings, I am Aya, how may I be of service to you?" Aya said

"Well, I'm here to challenge Koga to a Gym Battle, please" Ash said

"Hm, very well, but first you have to defeat me in battle." Aya said as she disappeared & reappeared at the center of the room "Now, come forth."

The gang started coming towards Aya, but suddenly they hit an invisible wall

"Hey, what the!" Ash exclaimed

"Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the first test is to go through this invisible maze to get to me" Aya said

"Well, now you tell us!" Meowth exclaimed

"How are we gonna get to her now?" Brock said

"Ash, use that power you used to find the missing children in Hop Town" Serena said

"Alright" Ash said before closing his eyes

Ash saw the same blue light from before & it showed him the way to get to Aya. After many twists & turns, the gang had reached her.

"Congratulations, you passed the first test." Aya congratulated "Now, are you ready."

"Yes ma'am." Ash nodded

"Go Venonat" Aya said as she sent out a purple insect-like Pokémon with red compound eyes

"Venonat" the Pokémon said as Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

Venonat, the Insect Pokémon, a Bug & Poison Type, Venonat's large, sensitive eyes pick up even the tiniest movement. The stiff hair that covers its body protects it from harm.

"Psyduck, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his Psyduck

"Psyduck" Psyduck quacked

"Ash is using Psyduck." Serena said

"& it's a good thing too, since he knows Psychic Type moves" Brock said

"Good luck, Psyduck!" Serena cheered

"Eevee!" Eevee cheered

"You ready, Psyduck?" Ash asked

"Psy!" Psyduck nodded in determination

"Then let's do this." Ash said

ASH VS AYA

"Alright Psyduck, let's start things off with Future Sight." Ash said. Psyduck's eyes glowed blue, summoned four wormholes & sent blasts of electrified psychic energy through them.

"Now, use Zen Headbutt"

Psyduck became surrounded by a light blue force field & charged at Venonat with his head

"Venonat, dodge it" Aya said as Venonat dodged the attack

"Now use Stun Spore"

Venonat released orange sparkling powder from its mouth

"Use Dig" Ash said. Psyduck dug underground & avoided the attack.

"Keep a sharp eye out." Aya said. Venonat looked at the ground & when Psyduck came out of the ground, Venonat dodged the attack.

"Venonat was able to find Psyduck underground with its radar eyes. Ash will have to think of something quick." Brock said

"Use Psybeam" Aya said. Venonat fired a streaky blue beam with pink circles in it from its eyes & hit Psyduck

"Hang in there, use Screech" Ash said

"Duuuuck" Psyduck screeched as he released red soundwaves from his mouth which caused Venonat to be off guard

"Now, use Water Pulse" Ash said. Psyduck fired an blue orb of water from his hands & hit Venonat

"Venonat use—" Aya said before she was suddenly interrupted.

The wormholes from before suddenly appeared above Venonat & fired electrified psychic energy at it which caused it to faint.

"What!?" Aya exclaimed in shock

"What just happened?" Meowth said

"Future Sight happened." Brock said "Future Sight is a Psychic Type move that can take effect after a certain amount of time when being used."

"Wow, that's amazing." Serena said in awe

"Good work, Psyduck." Ash praised as he petted Psyduck's head

"Psy" Psyduck quacked happily

Aya grumbled as she returned Venonat. Then a puff of smoke appeared, & when it cleared, the gang saw a man with spiky greying teal hair, black eyes, wearing a purple ninja with a red mask & scarf.

"I'm sorry, brother. I've failed." Aya said as she bowed to the man.

"I'm impressed with how you battled my sister, young one." The man said to Ash

"Are you Koga, the Fuchsia Gym Leader?" Ash asked

"Indeed I am" Koga said

"My name is Ash Ketchum & I'm here to battle you for your badge" Ash said

"Very Well" Koga said as he went to the opposite side of the battlefield

"The battle between Ash the challenger & Koga the Fuchsia Gym Leader will now proceed. This will be a 4 on 4 battle & it will be over when either side's Pokémon are unable to continue. Only the challenger can substitute Pokémon." Aya announced

"Go Weezing" Koga said as he sent out his Weezing

"Weezing" Weezing said

"Sandslash, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his Sandslash

"Slash!" Sandslash said

"Battle Begin!" Aya announced

ASH VS KOGA

"Sandslash, Use Swords Dance" Ash said

"Slash!" Sandslash said as several blue swords circle around him & cross together which caused his attack power to go up

"Weezing use Smokescreen" Koga said. Weezing released thick black smoke from its body which covered the battlefield & blocked Sandslash's view

"Now use Sludge Bomb"

Weezing fired brown blobs of explosive sludge from its mouth & hit Sandslash

"Sandslash, blow the smoke away with Sandstorm" Ash said. Sanslash spun around & created a sandstorm which blew away the smoke & hit Weezing

"Use Slash" Ash said. Sandslash's claw glowed white & charged at Weezing

"Use Double Hit" Koga said. Koffing tackled & clashed with Sandslash, but then it hit him with its second head which caused Sandslash to stumble back

"Use Sand Tomb" Ash said. Sandslash created a tornado of sand & captured Weezing with it

"Now, use Crush Claw"

Sandslash's claw became surrounded by crimson-red aura & charged at Weezing

"Weezing, Explosion" Koga said. Weezing glowed red

"Sandslash, watch out!" Ash cried, but it was too late. Weezing exploded & Sandslash got caught in the explosion. When the smoke cleared, both Pokémon had fainted

"Both Pokémon are unable to battle, it's a draw" Aya declared

"I wasn't expecting that." Meowth said

"Explosion is a very dangerous move." Brock said "When the move is used, it takes out both the opponent & the user."

"Sandslash/Weezing, return" Ash & Koga said as they returned their Pokémon

"Man, I certainly wasn't expecting that." Ash thought

"Go Golbat" Koga said as he sent out his Golbat

"Well, in that case, Jolteon, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his Jolteon

"Jolt!" Jolteon barked

"Golbat, use Steel Wing" Koga said. Golbat's wings glowed white & charged at Jolteon

"Use Thunder Fang" Ash said. Jolteon opened his mouth, creates yellow teeth like aura with sparks of electricity & charged at Golbat.

Both Pokémon clashed into each other causing an explosion & skidded back.

"Jolteon, use Agility" Jolteon ran around Golbat at fast speed

"Use Swift" Koga said. Golbat's wings glowed yellow & fired multiple yellow stars from them & hit Jolteon

"Now, Poison Fang"

Golbat's teeth glowed purple, created teeth-like aura, & charged at Jolteon

"Use Dig" Ash said. Jolteon dug underground & avoided the attack

"Now, come out & use Thunder Wave"

Jolteon released yellow rings of electricity from his body & hit Golbat which caused it to become paralyzed

"Golbat, use Screech" Koga said. Golbat screeched & released red soundwaves from its mouth which caused Jolteon to wince, but a few seconds later, the paralysis took effect.

"Alright Jolteon, use Thunderbolt" Ash said.

"Jolteooooon!" Jolteon howled as he fired a bolt of yellow electricity & hit Golbat which caused it to faint

"Golbat is unable to battle, Jolteon wins." Aya declared

"How impressive." Koga said as he returned Golbat "Go Venomoth"

Koga sent out a light purple moth-like Pokémon

"Venomoth" the Pokémon said as Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

Venomoth, the Poison Moth Pokémon, a Bug & Poison Type, & the evolved form of Venonat, When they become active after dark, Venomoth are often drawn to street-lamps. It isn't the light that attracts them, but the promise of food.

"Jolteon, return." Ash said as he returned Jolteon "Flareon, I choose you!"

Ash sent out his Flareon

"Flare!" Flareon said.

"Venomoth, use Stun Spore" Koga said. Venomoth released orange sparkling powder from its wings

"Flareon, use Flamethrower" Ash said. Flareon shot fire from her mouth which blew away the Stun Spore & hit Venomoth

"Now, use Fire Fang"

Flareon's fangs glowed red-orange, created red-orange teeth-like aura & charged at Venomoth

"Use Poison Powder" Koga said. Venomoth released purple sparkling powder from its wings & hit Flareon which caused her to stop & become poisoned

"Now, use Psychic"

Venomoth's glowed blue & released waves of psychic energy which hit Flareon

"Use Flamethrower" Ash said as Flareon fired Flamethrower

"Dodge & Use Agility" Koga said. Venomoth dodged the attack & flew around the battlefield at fast speed

"Flareon, Scary Face" Ash said. Flareon's eyes glowed red & a shadow of her face appeared which caused Venomoth to stop & shiver in fright

"Now, Fire Spin"

Flareon slammed her paws on the ground shooting a thin streak of fire across it which turns into a fiery tornado & hits Venomoth which caused it to faint

"Venomoth is unable to battle, Flareon wins" Aya declared

"Return." Koga said as he returned Venomoth "You surely don't disappoint, young Ketchum. Go Muk!"

Koga sent out his Muk

"Muk" Muk said

"Can you still go on, Flareon" Ash asked

"Flare" Flareon nodded

"Then use Fire Fang" Ash said. Flareon charged at Muk with Fire Fang

"Venoshock." Koga said. Muk fired multiple dark purple blobs of poison & hit Flareon which caused her to faint

"Flareon is unable to battle, Muk wins" Aya declared

"Muk took out Flareon in one hit" Serena said

"That's because Venoshock doubles the damage when the opponent is poisoned" Brock said

"Flareon return" Ash said as he returned Flareon "Jolteon, I choose you!"

Ash sent out his Jolteon

"Jolt!" Jolteon barked

"Use Agility" Ash said as Jolteon ran across the battlefield at fast speed

"Use Haze" Koga said. Muk released thick black smoke from its mouth which caused Jolteon to stop

"Now, use Toxic"

Muk released a thick stream of purple liquid from its mouth & hit Jolteon which caused him to become poisoned

"Venoshock"

Muk fired Venoshock & hit Jolteon which caused him to faint

"Jolteon is unable to battle, Muk wins" Aya declared

"Jolteon, return" Ash said as he returned Jolteon

"Now, Ash only has one Pokémon left" Serena said worriedly

"No doubt that last Pokémon is gonna be Cubone, but I hope Cubone will manage to pull it off" Brock said hopefully

"Well, Cubone did defeat Erika's Weepinbell at the Celadon Gym, so he's quite strong" Meowth said

"Pika/Vee" Pikachu & Eevee nodded in agreement

"Cubone, I choose you!" Ash said as he sent out his Cubone

"Cubone" Cubone said

"Use Focus Energy" Ash said

"Bone" Cubone said as he glowed orange

"Muk, use Toxic" Koga said. Muk fired Toxic at Cubone

"Use your bone." Ash said. Cubone twirled his bone & blocked the attack

"Using Cubone's bone is great offense & defense" Brock pointed out

"Use Sludge Bomb" Koga said. Muk fired brown globs of sludge from its mouth

"Use your bone again" Ash said. Cubone twirled his bone again & blocked the again, but the impact caused an explosion & caused Cubone to skid back.

"Use Bonemerang"

Cubone's bone glowed white, threw it at Muk, & Muk got hit twice

"Use Haze" Koga said. Muk released Haze

"Blow it away with Bonemerang" Ash said. Cubone threw his bone which blew away the Haze. But Muk was no where to be seen.

"Huh? Where'd it go?" Ash said perplexingly

"Use Body Slam" Koga said. Muk appeared above Cubone & landed on him

"Where did that come from?" Meowth said in shock

"Muk must've used Minimize" Brock said

"Minimize?" Serena repeated

"Minimize is a move that shrink down the Pokémon & avoid attacks" Brock explained "When Koga had Muk used Haze, he was under the impression that Ash would have Cubone blow away the smoke. So Koga had Muk use Minimize for a special sneak attack"

"Cubone, use Dig" Ash said. Cubone dug underground to escape from underneath Muk, then he came out & uppercutted Muk.

"Now use Stomping Tantrum"

Cubone's feet glowed orange & charged at Muk

"Use Minimize" Koga said. Muk glowed pinkish-purple, shrank down, & avoided the attack. Cubone tried to stomp on Muk again & again, but Muk kept on dodging.

"Alright, use Ice Punch"

Muk went behind Cubone, regained its original size, then its fist became surrounded by icy blue aura & punched Cubone.

"Cubone!" Ash cried as Cubone slowly got up

"BOOOONE!" Cubone yelled as he glowed bluish white,

Everyone watched in awe as Cubone evolved into Marowak

"Marowak!" He said as Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

Ability: Rock Head

Hidden Ability: Battle Armor

Learned Moves: Swords Dance, Screech, Bone Rush, & Double-Edge

"Awesome, Marowak, show them one of your new move, use Bone Rush" Ash said. Marowak's bone glowed light blue, grew longer, & hit Muk which caused it to faint.

"Muk is unable to battle, Marowak wins. So the match goes to Ash the challenger" Aya said

"We did it, Marowak!" Ash cheered as he hugged Marowak

"Marowak" Marowak said happily as he hugged him back

"You were amazing, Marowak." Serena praised

"Yeah, your Mom would be very proud of you." Brock agreed

"Marowak" Marowak blushed as he scratched the back of his head

"You've fought well, young Ketchum." Koga complimented as he gave Ash a pink heart-shaped badge "& as proof of your victory, I hereby present you the Soul Badge"

"Alright, I just got the Soul Badge!" Ash cheered

"Pika!/That's right!/Slash!/Flare!/Jolt!/Marowak!" The Pokémon cheered

"Congratulations, before you head to the next Gym, I suggest you go to the Safari Zone" Koga suggested

"The Safari Zone?" Ash repeated

"It's a place where you can catch rare Pokémon you come upon" Koga said

"Wow, that sounds exciting." Ash said

"We should definitely go there" Serena said

"Yeah" Brock agreed

"Here." Koga said as he gave Ash a Poison Type TM "it's a TM06 containing the move Toxic, use it wisely."
