Cerulean City

The gang arrived at Cerulean City for Ash's second Gym Badge

"Hey Brock, can you tell me about the Cerulean Gym Leader?" Ash asked

"Sure, The Cerulean Gym Leader, Misty Waterflower, specializes in Water Types. She has three older sisters, Daisy, Lily, & Violet. Misty's older sisters do water performance." Brock explained

"Alright, since Misty uses Water Types, I'll definitely use Pikachu" Ash said

"But Pikachu is the only Electric Type you have, plus you don't have any Grass Types" Brock mentioned

"Ash, do you want to borrow my Paras?" Serena offered

"That's very generous of you, Serena." Ash said "But I don't need to borrow any Pokémon from you"

They went to the Gym & Daisy, Violet, & Lily's water performance, then the gang went to the lobby which was like an aquarium. They saw Misty's sisters & went up to them.

"Oh hello, may we help you?" Daisy asked

"Yes Ma'am, I'm here to challenge your sister, Misty" Ash said

"Ok, just come with us & we'll lead you right to her" Violet said

The sisters led the gang to the battle field which was a pool with platforms. The gang saw a teen girl with short orange hair, viridian eyes, & a white & blue one piece swimsuit swimming in the pool.

"Misty, this boy wishes to battle you " Lily said

"Ok, I'll be right out" Misty said as she got out of the pool, put on a white & blue jacket & white flip-flops (based on HeartGold & SoulSilver outfit)

"Misty, My name is Ash Ketchum, I'm from Pallet Town & challenge you to a Gym Battle" Ash said

"Very well, I accept your challenge" Misty said

Ash & Misty went into battle position in the battlefield

"The battle between Ash the challenger & Misty the Cerulean Gym Leader will now begin. This will be a two on two battle & it will be over when either side's Pokémon are unable to continue. Only the challenger can substitute Pokémon." Daisy announced

"Go Staryu" Misty said as she sent out her brown Starfish-like Pokémon with a red jewel in its middle.

"Ha!" Staryu said

Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

Staryu, the Star Shape Pokémon, A Water Type, a cluster of red lights glowing on the beach at night is probably a Staryu colony. Its red core glows at night, & as long as the core is whole, this Pokémon can regenerate from almost any injury.

"Pikachu, I choose you" Ash said as Pikachu stepped into the battlefield

"Pika!" Pikachu said with determination

"Battle begin!" Daisy announced

ASH VS MISTY

"Alright, Pikachu, use Quick Attack," Ash said. Pikachu became surrounded by light blue aura & tackled Staryu with quick speed

"Staryu, use Water Gun," Misty said. Staryu released a stream of water from the tip of its top limb. Pikachu got hit

"Pikachu, use Thunder Wave." Ash said. Pikachu released rings of yellow electricity from his arm.

"Go underwater." Misty said as Staryu dived into the pool & avoided the Thunder Wave

"Now use Swift"

Staryu came out of the pool, its core glowed yellow & fired multiple stars from it, which hit Pikachu from behind. The impact caused Pikachu to fall into the pool

"Now Staryu, use Rapid Spin." Misty said. Staryu went back underwater & charged at Pikachu while spinning, then Ash suddenly got an idea.

"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt." Ash said.

"Pikachuuuuu!" Pikachu said as he released yellow electricity from his body. The electricity spread throughout the pool, then Staryu got electrocuted, floated up out of the water, & fainted.

"Staryu is unable to battle, Pikachu wins" Daisy announced

"Good job, Pikachu" Ash praised

"Pika" Pikachu said as he gave Ash a thumbs up, after swimming up to the nearest platform & shook himself dry.

"Wow, that was close" Serena sighed in relief

"Yeah, I thought Pikachu was a goner" Meowth said

"The battlefield is a pool. You see, Pikachu is like a toaster, once you put a toaster in water, you'll become electrocuted. That's why Ash had Pikachu used Thunderbolt in the pool, since water conducts electricity" Brock explained

Misty returned her Staryu

"Go Starmie" Misty said as she sent out a purple starfish-like Pokémon

Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

Starmie, the Mysterious Pokémon, a Water & Psychic Type, & The evolved form of Staryu, Getting close to a Starmie could give you a headache, possibly because of mysterious signals transmitted by its glowing core. With a shape like a many-pointed star, this Pokémon could be from outer space.

"The evolved form of Staryu, huh? This could be a bit much for Pikachu" Ash thought "Pikachu return"

Pikachu returned to Ash's side

"Alright, I don't have anymore Electric Type & I don't have any Grass Types, but since Starmie's part Psychic Type, I'll use this Pokémon" Ash thought as he pulled out a Poké Ball

"Beedrill, I choose you"

Ash sent out his Beedrill

"Beedrill!" Beedrill said

"Why did Ash sent out his Beedrill?" Serena asked

"It's because Starmie is part Psychic Type & it's weak against Bug Types" Brock explained

"Beedrill, Use Focus Energy" Ash said

"Beeee!" Beedrill said as he glowed orange

"Starmie, use Psywave" Misty said. Starmie fired a multicolored energy from its core & hit Beedrill

"Use Pin Missile" Ash said. Beedrill's stinger-like arms glowed white & fired white orbs trailing green streets of light & hit Starmie.

"Use Bubble Beam." Misty said. Starmie fired a beam of blue bubbles at Beedrill

"Cut through it with Fury Attack" Ash said. Beedril's stinger-like arms glowed white & cut through the bubbles.

"Now, Use Twineedle"

Beedrill stinger-like arms glowed bright blue & hit Starmie with them.

"Use Rapid Spin." Misty said. Starmie charged at Beedrill while spinning

"Use Aerial Ace." Ash said. Beedrill became surrounded by light blue streaks & charged at Starmie at fast speed.

Both Pokémon clashed with each other & panted heavily. A few seconds later, Starmie fainted

"Starmie is unable to battle, Beedrill wins. So the match goes to Ash the challenger" Daisy announced

"You did it, Beedrill" Ash said as he hugged Beedrill "You were awesome"

"Bee" Beedrill said happily

Misty returned her Starmie & walked up to Ash

"That was a great battle, Ash. You really put your all into it." Misty complimented

"Thanks Misty" Ash said

"You're welcome & as proof of your victory, I present you the Cascade Badge" She said as she gave him a blue raindrop shaped badge.

"Awesome, I got the Cascade Badge!" Ash said cheerfully as he held up the badge

"Bee!/Pikachu!/That's right!" the Pokémon said cheerfully

"Here," Misty said as she gave him a Water Type TM "It's a TM11 containing the move Bubble Beam"

"Thanks" Ash said

So with another victory & a second badge, the journey continues
