Ash was continuing his journey to become a Pokémon Master his friends Brock & Serena

"Hey Ash, What kind of power do you think you've inherited from the Maiden & her son?" Brock asked

"I don't know, but we'll find out sooner or later." Ash said

"Are we going to the Kingdom of Rota?" Serena asked

"Maybe someday, but not now" Ash said

"Are you sure, you wanna leave without telling them the truth about your ancestors." Meowth asked

"Yeah, & it's best that they figure it out by themselves." Ash said

"He's right, besides no one would believe us if we did tell." Brock said

"Oh, I never thought of that" Meowth said

Then suddenly they heard squawking & when they looked, they saw a Pink Butterfree being attacked by a Fearow

"That Butterfree is in trouble" Serena said

"Butterfree, I choose you" Ash said as he sent out his Butterfree

"Free Free" Ash's Butterfree said

"Use Aerial Ace on Fearow" Ash said. Butterfree became surrounded by light blue streaks & tackled Fearow at fast speed

"Now, use Gust"

Butterfree's wings glowed light blue & release a gust of wind from them which caused Fearow to get blown away

"Free Free" the Pink Butterfree thanked Ash's Butterfree

"Free" Ash's Butterfree nodded

"That Pink Butterfree is a female & It's taking a liking to your Butterfree" Brock said

"She's so beautiful in that pink color" Serena said in admiration

"Hey Boss, look at this." Meowth said as he picked up a beak off the ground

"What's that?" Ash said as he pulled out his Rotom Phone

This Item is a Sharp Beak, it boosts the power of the holder's Flying Type Moves by 20%.

"That Fearow must've dropped it when it got blown away" Brock said

They walked down a path & got to a cliff, then they saw a group of Butterfree

"Those Butterfree are celebrating their season of love. The season of love is when Butterfree lay their eggs. The Butterfree find mates & then lay their eggs across the sea." Brock explained

"That sounds romantic" Serena said

"if you don't let it cross the sea it will never have babies" Brock said

"Are you saying I have to release my Butterfree?" Ash asked

"Yes, but the choice is yours, Ash" Brock said

"Free Free" The Pink Butterfree called out

"It's the Pink Butterfree." Serena said

Ash sent out his Butterfree & the Pink Butterfree & Ash's Butterfree started dancing in the air

"What're they doing?" Serena asked

"They're doing a courtship dance, it's their way of saying "I want to be your significant other"" Brock explained

Then suddenly the Butterfree & Pink Butterfree were captured by a helicopter with a big net

"It Team Rocket, they're stealing the Butterfree" Ash said "We gotta stop them"

The gang got a hot air balloon & followed Team Rocket. Ash's Butterfree managed to find them in a storage house.

"We caught good bunch" Cassidy said

"Yeah, The boss will certainly be happy" Butch agreed

"Not so fast, Team Rocket" Ash said as Team Rocket turned to the gang

"You guys again?" Cassidy asked

"Didn't anyone ever tell you not to get into other peoples' business?" Butch said

"Raticate, get rid of these brats" Cassidy said as she sent out her Raticate

"Raticate" Raticate said

"Use Quick Attack" Cassidy said. Raticate became surrounded by light blue aura & charged at Butterfree at quick speed

"Butterfree, use Aerial Ace" Ash said. Butterfree hit Raticate with Aerial Ace which caused Raticate to stumble back

"Use Hyper Fang." Cassidy said. Raticate's teeth glowed bright orange & charged at Butterfree

"Use Supersonic." Ash said.

"Freeeeeee" Butterfree said as he released supersonic waves from his mouth which caused Raticate to become confused, run into a wall, & repeatedly hit its head against it

"What are you doing, Raticate? Snap out of it." Cassidy said

"Now, use Silver Wind" Ash said. Butterfree's wings glowed white & released a silvery wind from them & hit Raticate which caused it to faint.

"Now Pikachu, use Thunderbolt." Ash said

"Pika Chuuuuuuu!" Pikachu said as he fired a bolt of yellow electricity & sent Team Rocket blasting off.

"Now that Team Rocket is taken care of, we can now free the Butterfree." Serena said

Ash's Butterfree used Air Cutter to break the net. Once they freed the Butterfree, they headed back to the cliff.

"Well Butterfree, what do you think you should do?" Ash asked

"Free?" Ash's Butterfree said as he tilted his head in confusion

"Do you wanna go with them & say goodbye to us?" Ash asked

The Pink Butterfree stared at them for few seconds before flying over to them

"Free Free Free" The Pink Butterfree said to Ash

"What was that?" Ash asked

"She said she doesn't want to separate Butterfree from you, so she made the decision to join us" Meowth translated

"Are you sure about that?" Ash asked

"Free" The Pink Butterfree said

"I think you should catch her, Serena" Brock suggested "she suits you"

Serena pulled out a Poké Ball & caught the Pink Butterfree

"Sweet, I have my own Butterfree" Serena said as her Butterfree's Poké Ball got transported to the PC

"Now you won't have to release Butterfree, Ash" Brock said

"Free Free" a Wild Butterfree said as it gave Ash a small green sack.

Ash pulled out his Rotom Phone

This item is Silver Powder, it boosts the power of the holder's Bug Type Moves by 20%

"Free Free" the Wild Butterfree said

"This Butterfree says it's a gift for saving it & it's group." Meowth translated

"Hey Ash, have your Butterfree hold it." Brock said

Ash gave his Butterfree the Silver Powder & when Butterfree held it, it formed into a white ball of light & merged into Butterfree.

"So, that's how Pokémon hold items" Meowth said

"Wow, that's amazing" Ash said

"You should have your Fearow hold the Sharp Beak" Brock suggested

With a newly caught Pokémon with an unusual color, the pressed on as the journey continues
