It's been almost two days since Ash, Serena, Kaelyn, Bonnie, and Clemont left Lumiose City to get to Santalune City for Ash's first gym battle. "Kaelyn I didn't even notice until now. We have matching bags!" Bonnie squeals and Kaelyn gasp. "Oh my gosh I didn't even know either!" Kaelyn says squealing too. They both burst out with laughter.

"You two met only three or four days ago and you two are already best friends." Serena says smiling. "Yes mommy. What else did you expect? For us not to do that?" Kaelyn says back causing Ash to laugh. "Oh what's so funny?" Serena asks and Ash simply shakes his head. "She told you so" Ash responds with another laugh.

All Serena does is roll her eyes with a smile. Kaelyn and Bonnie continue their laughing. "Hey guys why don't we stop here for a quick rest?" Ash suggests. Serena sits on a tree stump quickly with a breath. Kaelyn picks up Pikachu and hugs him tightly. Clemont grabs a snack for Bonnie out of his bag. Bonnie quickly takes it.

What they don't know, is that a little Pokémon is watching and wants what Bonnie is eating. "Pikachu needs a snack too!" Kaelyn shrieks pointing at a berry in a tree. "Alright alright I'll get it." Ash says grabbing one and throwing it to Kaelyn who catches it and starts trying to split it in half.

Pikachu simply waiting patiently. Bonnie goes over and starts trying to help and puts her snack down on the ground. Shortly after when Bonnie and Kaelyn are still struggling to split the berry, Pikachu's ears twitch and he looks to a bush. "Pikachu is there something there?" Serena asks looking where he is.

Pikachu tilts his head and approaches the bush. When he does a sudden yellow flash goes off. Pikachu gets on all fours and gets ready for a battle if necessary. "Pikachu are you okay?!" Kaelyn shouts looking worriedly. Pikachu nods assuring the young girl he is alright.

All of a sudden a little rodent like Pokémon runs out of the bush quickly. It runs by Pikachu and circles Kaelyn and Bonnie before grabbing the berry in its mouth and takes off. Pikachu quickly jumps in front of the Pokémon blocking its movement. "Hey that's Pikachu's berry!" Kaelyn pouts upset.

"What's that Pokémon?" Serena asks taking out her new pokedex. (I didn't do this in the first one except twice will be the same in this most likely) 'Dedenne, the Antenna Pokémon. Dedenne communicates long distance with other Dedenne by sending radio waves through its antenna-like whiskers.'

"That's interesting." Ash says looking at the small Pokémon. "Clemont it's so cute!" Bonnie says with stars in her eyes. "I want it!" Bonnie yells but Clemont sigh. "You can't have a Pokémon yet" Clemont says causing Bonnie to pout. "Catch it for me!" Bonnie yells. "I wanna take care of it too!" Kaelyn shouts also starting to pout.

"Oh.. right." Clemont says. "Bunnelby come out!" Clemont then yells. Dedenne looks at Bunnelby and takes off quickly. "No come back!" Bonnie shouts running after Dedenne. Kaelyn runs after the Pokémon causing everyone else to have to run after it.

When they run for maybe 2 minutes they end up losing Dedenne. "Awww we lost it!" Bonnie yells pouting. "That's no fair!" Kaelyn shouts looking around. "Pikachu find it!" Bonnie yells saddened. "Don't worry you two, we'll find where it went." Serena reassures.

"Pikachu why don't you go look from the trees and Bunnelby can look under ground? Maybe it lives underground." Ash says and both the Pokémon nod and jump off in different directions, with Bunnelby going underground. All of a sudden there's a cry from above and everyone looks up to see a flying Pokémon. "That's a fletchling!" Bonnie shouts.

Then it disappears behind a tree. In a couple seconds the Dedenne fell out of a tree with a berry. "There it is!" Bonnie yells grabbing everyone's attention. Dedenne looks up and around and kinda backs itself into a corner. All of a sudden the Fletchling flys down and steals the berry from Dedenne.

"Hey that's not nice!" Kaelyn shrieks at the flying Pokémon who just laughs. At that moment, Dedenne starts to cry and Pikachu comes back. Bunnelby was still looking underground and didn't know Dedenne was here. Pikachu talks to Dedenne and the little Pokémon stops crying and takes off.

Bonnie and Kaelyn take off after him and Pikachu also follows them. Before Ash, Clemont, or Serena could react the two Pokémon and the girls were gone. "Kaelyn?! Bonnie?!" Ash calls out taken by surprise how they could have lost them so easily. He was shocked.

The Fletchling flies high in the air. Dedenne, Pikachu, Kaelyn, and Bonnie run after it. They keep running not realizing they lost the three older people. "Pikachu Dedenne slow down!" Bonnie calls but she gets no response. They had gotten ahead of the two girls. They ran through bushes and right there was a cliff.

Kaelyn manages to stop in time. Bonnie trips over the edge but Kaelyn grabs her hand just in time. "Kaelyn help!" Bonnie yells. "I'm..trying!" Kaelyn says trying her hardest to pull her back up. The Fletchling laughs and flys next to them. "Fletchling help!" Kaelyn shouts to the bird Pokémon.

Instead of helping, the bird Pokémon hits Kaelyn in the back and Kaelyn loses her balance. She looks at the Fletchling who just flys away quickly. Both Bonnie and Kaelyn scream as they fall down the side of the cliff. They didn't look down but they knew it was a pretty long far.

They see Ash and Serena look over the cliff with terror in their eyes. "Oh my god!" Serena shouts and Clemont looks over the cliff and his eyes widen seeing the two girls fall. Ash and Serena couldn't react. The two girls hit the ground, or at least what looked like the ground.

The girls land in a net. Next to them is Pikachu and Dedenne. "We are alright!" Bonnie and Kaelyn shout at the same time. It earns a smile of relief from all three of the trainers. "Who did that?!" Ash calls down. "It was that Fletchling!" Bonnie yells back and Ash looks angry.

"Fletchling!" Ash calls hoping the Pokémon would come back. "Well well well. What do we have here!" Someone shouts from below and Serena's eyes widen. "No way.. it couldn't be.. Ash it's the Pokémon hunter from Kanto!" Serena shouts and Ash then recognizes him.

"I'm flattered! She still remembers me!" He yells getting a scowl from Ash. At that point Fletchling comes back and laughs at Ash. "Well I have a Pikachu and a Dedenne. And I have two little girls as well!" He shouts and at that moment Serena seems to have literally snapped.

"You stay away from my daughter!" She shouts and she lets out Fennekin and Absol. "Fletchling you need to right your wrong. Are you seriously going to let this guy take two fellow Pokémon and two little girls?" Clemont asks the Pokémon and Fletchling tilts its head and realization comes to it.

Serena with the help of Absol slides down the cliff while holding Fennekin. Absol immediately realizes she made a mistake. Serena was enraged. "Ash get down here!" Absol says through their head. Ash immediately understands and looks at the Fletchling. Fletchling looks sad and starts to dive down.

"Stay here." Ash says to Clemont letting out Lucario. He slides down the cliff which surprises Clemont realizing both his friends just did that. It wasn't that steep though. "Serena calm down!" Ash shouts running over to her. Serena doesn't listen and forms an aura sphere in her hand.

Clemont looks completely shocked as does Bonnie. "I swear if you touch my daughter.." Serena mumbles throwing it at the Pokémon hunter. The Pokémon hunter goes flying backwards and lands with a groan. "Use flamethrower." He manages to get out and a menacing fire Pokémon jumps out sending the attack at the net.

Bonnie quickly grabs Dedenne in her hands and Pikachu tries to get in front of Kaelyn. Fletchling seeing this realizes all of his mistakes and he gets in the way. Instead of the net getting hit, Fletchling did and it falls to the ground slowly. Serena's eyes flare with absolute hatred.

She sends another aura sphere at the hunter. She then lifts her hand and it's obvious he's draining his life. "Serena stop this! You know it isn't right!" Ash shouts grabbing her arms causing the reaction to stop. "Serena i'm sorry." Ash says putting his hands to her forehead. Serena then falls unconscious to the ground.

Ash gets the Pokémon and the girls out of the net. He then raises his hand to the Fletchling and he heals him. Clemont makes his way down. "What in the world was that?!" Clemont exclaims looking at Ash with curiosity. "I'll tell you some other time." Ash responds with a chuckle.

A few hours later, everyone is sitting at a place they set up camp. Ash set Serena up in a tent and she is still passed out. Absol was guarding her. Fletchling had stuck around and was flying. Dedenne was asleep in Bonnie's bag being adored by Kaelyn and Bonnie.

"Hey Dedenne?" Bonnie asks and the Pokémon wakes up. "Do you want to be taken care of by me and Kaelyn?" She asks and Dedenne simply nods happily. "Clemont!" Kaelyn and Bonnie yell and he comes over with an already prepared pokeball. Dedenne quickly jumps into it.

As that happens, Ash was scratching the top of Fletchling's head. Fletchling jumps on top of Ash's head and rubs its small head against him. "Hey Fletchling I'm proud of you. You fixed what you did wrong. You protected them" Ash says and the bird Pokémon chirps happily. "Would you like to come along as well?" Ash asks holding up a pokeball.

Fletchling nods but knocks the pokeball away. "And let me guess. You want to be caught with a battle?" Ash asks and Fletchling nods. "Alright. Lets have a battle. If I win you come with." Ash says and Fletchling flies in the air to get ready for the coming battle.
