Alex woke up to the sound of fighting she sighed getting up then walked downstairs to see Dominic and Colin yelling Alex sighed then whistled loudly they stopped "boys can you wait until after breakfast before you destroy the house" Alex said they sighed nodding Alex went to start cooking. after eating Alex had the boys help her shopping Alex hummed checking things off

"is this everything Alex" Dominic asked Alex nodded

"yeah I still have to get some things still but this stuff goes to the house" she said he nodded

"I'll take them home and start working" he said Alex nodded then looked at her partner "come on Colin you need these next things" Alex said the white wolf nodded then growled a black wolf ran over and behind them Alex looked at the wolf

"GET BACK HERE" a girl yelled storming over the wolf wimpered Colin looked at the wolf then at Alex who sighed nodding "sorry about her it her mssion" the girl said Alex frowned

"you don't do your own missions" Alex said she shrugged

"why should I as long as the work done" she said trying to grab the wolf Alex tripped her "what your problem" she snapped

"Sophia this is your second strike" Cid said surprising them she growled Alex sighed

"don't sneak up on me" Alex said he smiled before passing her a paper Alex read it then nodded

"you sure it a good idea" Alex asked he nodded

"you'll need to leave tomorrow" he said Alex sighed nodding. after shopping the wolf girl was in Alex's room she was asleep on the floor until Alex woke her up

"I know it not much but since we're going to share a room you'll be sleeping over here" Alex said pointing to a make shift bed she nodded before shifting Alex handed her some clothes to wear as there was a crash Alex growled "hang on Lina" Alex said walking downstairs

"it wasn't us" they said she frowned seeing Sophia

"I was told to deliver this for a hunter named Alex" she said Alex nodded taking the book

"thanks I think" Alex said

"take my advice you should choose a mutt to do your work" she said leaving Alex sighed

"uh miss" Lina said surprising them "what are you going to do" she asked Alex sighed looking at the book. After eating Alex locked herself in the library to research a behemoth

"Alex" Colin said knocking Alex hummed focused on her research "Alex let me in" he said she sighed bookmarking her page then opened the door

"what up" she asked

"it getting late you should be getting some sleep to prepare for tomorrow" he said Alex shrugged

"I will after I'm done with my research" she said he frowned as she closed the door Alex went back to her book to finish it she also wrote down some notes she'll need when they leave before going to bed.

The next morning Alex got up early and started packing for the trip Lina helped her nervously "are you sure I should come with I mean I don't know how good I'll be" she said Alex smiled

"don't worry just listen to me and we'll be fine now take our bags downstairs and get in a form your comfortable with to travel" Alex said Lina smiled nodding "also put that ribbon on" Alex added Lina nodded taking the bags downstairs

"are you sure about this Alex maybe I should come with instead" Dominic said Alex sighed

"I'll be fine and beside I'm not the only hunter going so I might not get to fight" she said grabbing her necklace he nodded knowing he won't win Alex smiled walking past him. They saw the other hunters ready to go on their chocobo Lina stood next to Alex nervous an older boy smiled seeing Alex among the hunters

"is everyone here" he asked

"Sophia's not" one hunter said he frowned Alex saw a half beast rolled his eyes Lina moved closer to Alex who frowned seeing Sophia come

"I'm here" she growled unhappily then shot a look at Alex and Lina

"let go" the guy said all the hunters cheered as their chocobo ran Alex clicked her tongue as her chocobo followed them Lina walked beside her cautionly. They stopped spotting the behemoth

"it big" Lina whispered Alex nodded watching it move on the path the boy raised his hand to let them know to stay put some of the hunters had their bows ready until it left the leader followed with the others carefully. We finally found it in the woods nearby

"for pure archers I want you to spread out and find a good spot to fire at it we will need it and the rest of us will get closer to it" he said they nodded running off "how good is your shot Alex" he asked stopping her

"pretty good why" she asked Sophia scoffed

"seem like I'll have to finish it" she said he glared at her before sighing "it true I can hit three targets in the test" she said

"you didn't hit the fourth one" Alex asked which made them stare at her "what it not difficult with three arrows" she said confused he smiled

"come on Alex he said running Alex blinked still confused but followed with Lina. they stopped spotting it "I want you to find a good spot to set up and cover me" he said Alex nodded seeing the perfect spot

"Lina you help him" Alex said she nodded happily shifting

"be careful Alex" he said Alex nodded running to a nearby tree before climbing up she smiled having a perfect line of sight it roared as if someone already hit it the boy barely dodged a swipe if it wasn't for Lina Alex saw Sophia shooting at the behemoth from behind Alex growled Sophia was making it worse Alex quickly took a shot hitting the behemoth and stunning it Lina and the boy used that chance to do some damage it roared charging at Alex she jumped avoiding the attack

"you okay Alex" he asked she nodded following them. They finally stopped the monster and camped out to heal

"that was to close" Alex said healing Lina

"we got lucky this is the third behemoth we had to stop" he said wincing Alex frowned

"let me see" she said he sighed showing her his side she sighed "your lucky it not worse" she said using her healing magic

"thanks Alex" he sighed she nodded

"you know my name now spill who are you" she said he laughed

"I was wondering when you would asked my name Josh Wave" he said Alex stopped he smiled "yeah I'll let that sink in for a bit" he said walking off Lina watch her

"uh Alex" she said Alex sighed

I'm fine Lina let get some sleep" she said Lina nodded.

The next day the group made it back Alex found a very worried Dominic and Colin waiting she yelp being tackled by the boys "nice to see you too" she laughed as Lina took their bags "uh help" she said they smiled helping her up she sighed smiling as she started getting lunch the boys listened to what happened except about Josh being her brother Dominic calmed down some but still a little bothered by something "what bugging you" Alex asked he faked a smile

"nothing" he lied Alex frowned

"Dominic" she said

"it nothing just some idiot" he said Alex smiled nodding.
