Before the Journey - Part 2
Sakura didn't know whether to be upset or thrilled that Sasuke left to the village earlier in the morning, and he left her a note that told her he went out and that she shouldn't worry about him. He hadn't been as active until now. She went to work and she went to see friends, but she never saw Sasuke or even Naruto. She never bothered to go looking for them, assuming it'd just be for one day. However, for the next three days he was there with her, he would leave early and come back late. She hadn't even seen him in all that time, and she was getting worried. So she decided to go see for herself.
After work, she didn't go home. Instead she went to the Hokage's office, "hey, Kakashi-Sensei, I need to ask you..." She paused as soon as she saw the sight. In front of the Hokage's desk, Kakashi stood with the same book Sasuke was reading. In front of him was Sasuke and Naruto... Holding hands.
"S-Sakura..." The color drained out of all their faces.
"What the hell is going on here?!" Sakura clenched her fist.
"Sakura-chan! This isn't what it looks like!" Naruto yanked his hands away from a very speechless Sasuke.
"Naruto...." Sakura growled as she slammed her fist into the wall, leaving a huge hole for Kakashi to fix, "Kakashi-Sensei, what's going on! Answer me!"
"Sakura, we didn't realize you were going to actually come..." Kakashi muttered.
"Y-yeah, this isn't..." Naruto was at a loss for words.
"You didn't have to invite me, I wouldn't have wanted to come anyways. But none of you telling me that you both are marrying... Is so messed up! Does Hinata know that you've been cheating on her with--"
"Sakura!"
She immediately shut up when Sasuke appeared in front of her.
"He's not marrying me." Sasuke looked her dead in the eyes, "you are."
Sakura stepped back, "wh-what?"
Sasuke cleared his throat, "Sakura Haruno, it's only thanks to you that I'm here today. And because of that, you're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. So Sakura, right here, right now, will you marry me?"
Sakura covered her mouth as her gaze went up to Kakashi and Naruto, smiling and nodding, "oh my gosh, yes!"
Sasuke smiled as he pulled out a box, but due to his lack of a hand to open it with, he chuckled nervously, "uh, I can't..."
She only chuckled and took the velvet box, "it's okay." She opened it and let him pull the ring out. Then he slid the beautiful rose gold diamond ring onto her ring finger.
"Yeah, Teme!" Naruto clapped.
"You're lucky I became a last-minute ordained minister just to do this..." Kakashi groaned, "okay, let's get this over with."
