Halloween was such a success! We had so much planning to do, I simply couldn't stop and write in here. If I wasn't working, I was catching up on sleep. My apologies on not being able to state my full plans here. Perhaps I will lay those out in this little journal next year.

As for this year, our success was primarily due to the help we've gotten within The Rebellion. We've rallied so many people to our cause - setting up across the planes was almost too easy. Also, having myself and Sazorac patrol on Earth did as well as we had hoped it to. We were able to stop countless demons at the source before they were able to pull innocent human souls down to our homelands.

We even had a run-in with one of Heaven's favorite jack of all trades angel - Rufiyo Ortenga. I've heard of him before, and he was obviously a topic of conversation during the planning phases, but I had never actually met him until now. Turns out, he's a lovely fellow!

Sazorac and I ended up patrolling on the outskirts of New York City. We had a group of demons inside the city, six of our top Rebellion members, lurking around and calling in to us whenever they found activities or behavior that needed stopping.

We received a call at around 4 a.m. on that freezing morning. The first one of the day! The exact location and reasoning behind the call doesn't matter so much. It was as routine a call as any other on Halloween. What was different, however, was that Rufiyo had beat us to the location. He single handedly taken down the demon, banished it back to Hell, and wiped the human's memory clean so they could carry on with their merry life. Before he could even turn around to face us, we had our hands in the air in hopes that he wouldn't come charging at us next.

Luckily, his confusion spared us from any primal urge to take us out just because we're demons. That was probably his first time ever having demons surrender to him, especially before we even did anything bad! But, anyway, we were able to talk and get on the same level of understanding. I told him we were after the same goal as the angel's. And after agreeing to have two angels from his team following Sazorac and I, we managed to gain an ally.

I fully intend to keep that alliance going for future Halloweens. I just hope he doesn't get into any trouble from his supervisors for working beside us. If anything, he should be praised and promoted for displaying such leadership and initiative.

If only The Council recognized working with the right demons an act to be worthy of such praise. Working with Rufiyo was a small step to a much larger problem.

Regardless! Halloween was a massive success! I'll look forward to revisiting plans and prepwork in the upcoming years.
