9: The Conversation In The Strip Club
Third Person Perspective
2:00 a.m.
Loud music blasted on the speakers... It was so loud that caused some resonating environment along with the slight trembling of walls and the dance floor due to the sound waves. But who cares? No one gave a fuck and kept dancing crazily as if it was their last.
The whole club was on fire and excited as the neon and dark lights kept flickering to the music beats, making it even hot and sensual... Smoke was all over the place and one couldn't breathe in the environment until they were familiar with it. Various poles were set up in the club, and many underdressed women were hanging from them, dancing and attracting men who were double their age... It was a completely dirty place for someone with a weak yet innocent heart...
Most of the people were dancing and completely drunk but there was one... That one man who was looking pretty decent in a white shirt and tight-leather jeans that hugged his legs well. Just too well. What wasn't supposed to be shown, could be seen due to the tightness of his lowers.
But it would be a white lie if one said that he was 'decent'... He wasn't. And he knew it... He liked it like that... He had been living like that for the past 6 months and even before she came into his life.
He kept sitting in one place, drinking uncountable shots trying to drown in the feeling of being drunk but he couldn't... He just couldn't. He wondered why. Was it because of his powers? Or was it because of her?
His eyes were completely blank and different from what he ever showed to anyone... It was like a split personality.
Tik...
Tik...
Tik...
He kept tapping the glass table softly with his nails as if waiting for someone... And he was. He was waiting for him. His one and only best friend who understood him more than anyone. And more than anyone after her...
His heart was not at peace. Especially after he saw the new girl in the class. He had questions that needed to be answered as soon as possible but the only problem was, that there was no one to give answers to them...
"Hey, Tae! Are you waiting for long, man?" His friend finally came and smiled at him who looked at him with a tired yet dark gaze. He soon patted the seat beside him and his friend quickly sat on the place. He looked back at the innumerable red-wine bottles that were sitting on the bar's counter, making him gasp.
The moment Taehyung was about to chug another shot into his mouth, his friend dragged it away from his mouth and drank it instead. He soon exhaled out loudly with a creased forehead, which was the evidence of the bitter thing he just tasted, and put back the glass on the table with a soft sound.
"What the hell, Jimin?! How dare you?" Taehyung spitted it out, almost growling in anger.
"Why? Do you want to die, Tae?" Jimin sighed with a sad yet sorrowful gaze. He kept chewing his lower lip in anticipation when Taehyung chuckled as if hearing a joke.
"Die? As if..." Taehyung just shook his head and looked up at the ceiling with an unreadable expression. He was seriously done for now. "Do you really think a creature like me can die just like that?"
Awkward yet avoiding... That was Jimin's expression at his bestfriend's true yet depressing words. He wanted to console him and say that it wasn't true... But how could he? It was true. There was nothing that could be done now...
"Woah... Bounded by soul... What a weird thing." Taehyung chuckled amusingly, before lowering the new bottle of wine and emptying it slowly as the drink was poured slowly from it with a soft yet thin stream. "I can't believe it... She'll die if I commit a sin again, right? But I didn't do anything this time... Then why the hell did she DIE?!" His words became frosty and angered by the time he finished.
Jimin just covered his ears in response to the shout.
"Jimin... Tell me one thing. Why did my Heejin die this time?" He asked with a heavy voice and heart. Taehyung was boiling in anger... He couldn't grasp the situation in a calm manner which made it even worse and more aggressive.
"Taehyung. We don't know! All we have to do is keep an eye on that new student 'Miso', and watch all her moves... We don't know what she's planning or what she might do in the later future." Jimin spoke in a low tone, softly holding and caressing Taehyung's hand, encouraging and calming his fierce side. Even though Taehyung did feel better with Jimin's affection, all he needed was her at the moment. He couldn't think straight... He needed her more than anything. She was his pill. She was a pinch of happiness to his salt. A soul to his dead-yet-alive body. A little fun to his boring life. Moreover, she was the natural treatment for his acquired anxiety...
Now that she was no more, he was getting crazy... He couldn't believe it was true. He couldn't believe that after trying so damn much, it happened again.
"I heard from Jungkook that you took her to your home?" Jimin spoke once again, with wide eyes, making him groan at his bestfriend's nosiness.
"Yeah, right. I did."
That's all he replied and Jimin gasped loudly, causing some people to look at him weirdly.
"ARE YOU FUCKING CRA- sorry sorry..." He soon bowed when noticed people glaring at him for ruining the mood and started speaking again. "Are you fucking crazy, Kim Taehyung? Seriously..." Jimin just shook his head in denial when Taehyung raised an eyebrow, having a clue of what he was speaking.
"Just because she looks like her, doesn't mean you'll fall for her too." Jimin's words caused a spark of anger to rush through Taehyung's veins, which caused them to pop out involuntary. "Wow, Kim... Not even a year passed since she died, yet you're allured by another woman? And then you say you loved her? What a shame for Heejin-"
SLAP!
Exactly... That's what Taehyung did. He slapped Jimin, his bestfriend across his face, tightly. He was done. So done with the literal bullshit happening around him. It was like life was playing a game with him... First making him happy, then cursing him to be an immortal and then again making him happy by sending her, and once more... Stealing his happiness away, making him helplessly sad. He was miserable, just didn't want to admit it cuz if he did, he would break down mentally as well as physically.
And now Jimin... He was adding the fuel to his already firey life...
Jimin's mouth opened up with a gape and he looked back at Taehyung with a shocked yet calm expression. He knew this was bound to happen one day... But hearing that his friend got another girl in his house already? Heejin didn't even die for long...
"Say that one more time and see what happens next." Enough. Those words were enough for Jimin to shut his mouth and seal his lips tightly. He cursed himself for speaking such triggering things.
They kept sitting in silence for some minutes until Taehyung decided to break the ice with his wicked words.
"Me and her? Not a chance... She killed my Heejin... I won't let her survive like this. I'll fucking kill her with guilt... Don't worry, I'm gonna put up a show... Let's see what happens then..." He smirked, with his eyes fixated on the glass. He had finally decided... He had decided that he would trap her in the fake fallacy of 'love' and break her heart just the way she killed Heejin... Yes. That's the only way his heart would be at peace...
"She really thought my 'maids' changed her clothes? What a fool." Taehyung just licked his lower lip while chuckling to himself. Yes, it was him who did that. Why would he even tell her that he did it? Of course... He needs to act like a good person in her eyes so that she lets him in her life. So what if she has her face? She's still his enemy...
"What h-have you decided...?" Jimin stuttered for the first time in his life being scared of Taehyung's anger.
"Hm... Nothing. You don't need to know... Just control Jungkook and his anger... I don't want him to get swayed in his emotions and ruin everything." Taehyung commanded before holding a bottle of champagne and chugging it down completely without inhaling even once.
"Y-Yeah, I'll take care of that." Jimin nodded awkwardly, trying to speak as less as possible this time. Taehyung noticed Jimin's weird demeanor and sighed, grasping his hair in a tight grip out of frustration.
"C'mon, forget what I said. I was too overwhelmed with emotions..." He just shook his head and tried convincing Jimin but all in vain.
"Nope. You go out of limits Kim... Not this time. Nope..." Jimin just shook his head back and proceeded to stand up. He turned around, but before he could even take a step, Taehyung's words halted him completely.
"Oh fuck it, Jim! Fine... I'll get you your favorite candies! Now settle down, man!" Taehyung groaned out when Jimin sat back with wide eyes and a big smile. Extending his hands, Taehyung collected his things from the table and kept them in his pockets before looking back at Jimin with unreadable eyes and saying one last thing.
"Also, let him know our plan. We're proceeding with it now... I want him to teach Jungkook some more fight and defense tricks so that JK will be of good help to us."
Jimin frowned.
"But Tae... We can take his help aswell, right? Then why teach Jungkook?" Jimin questioned confusedly and hearing his words Taehyung nodded with a flat expression.
"Hmm, but he's busy, you know right? We don't want anyone doubting him now, do we?" Taehyung's lips 'smiled' and Jimin mentally agreed with him. Before he could say something else, Taehyung stood up and walked out of the club.
"What the... Didn't he just asked me to sit back?! Now he went away? Ugh, Kim Taehyung... You're driving me crazy." He just exhaled before chewing on his lip in tension and looked at his feet before thinking deeply.
That girl is going to go through a lot now. I hope she fastens up the seatbelt... it's going to be a wild ride...
