3: That Hoodie Guy...
I sighed before entering the wide-open metallic gates. Many more students were wearing the same uniform as me which gave me an idea that they were the students of the school.
"Wah..." I exhaled loudly. Even though the atmosphere was bright and filled with laughter all around, I felt a part of me lost. I just... I missed my old school. My old friends. The school gates, students laughing, their uniforms... Everything. It gave out a weird vibe of nostalgia.
"That's... sad." I didn't remember any of my friends except Jisoo. None. Not even a single name, neither did dad try to make me remember anything. Even when I don't remember any of my friends, there's still this sound always lingering in my mind... Whenever I go to sleep, whenever I wake up or whenever I'm in a pensive mood.
Their laughs.
I hear them... I hear them all... Along with Jisoo. But just their laughs. Their faces? Never. I don't even know what they looked like. Isn't that pathetic? Forgetting your own bestfriends and transferring to another school without a single memory of them.
What really happened in the past?
My deep thoughts were suddenly interrupted by someone putting their arms around me. I smiled widely in the realization when I smelt their perfume smell.
Coco-butter...
"Jisoo!" I turned around only to witness a beautiful, tall woman standing before me. She had the same features as Jisoo... There was just a slight difference... The woman looked a little mature. I mean who wouldn't get mature when they grow up, right?
"Miso-ssi!" She suddenly hugged me, knocking out all the air from my lungs. My eyes widened and I felt a choking sensation passing through my entire body. Fuck...
"J-Jisoo! I can't breathe!" I tapped continuously on her shoulder, bringing her back to her senses which caused her to hiss and leave me suddenly.
"Agh..." I gasped again and again.
Really Jisoo? We just met...
"Yah! Do you want me to die, huh?" I scoffed dramatically, causing her to pout.
"I just met you after so many years! Let me atleast hug you, woman!" She exclaimed like a baby, trying to act cutely. Oh, honey... I'm not that naive...
"Oh, c'mon! You look like a duck while pouting. Quit it."
Hearing my words, she stopped pouting and rolled her eyes, gaining back her posture.
"Anyways, don't you wanna come inside the school?" She deadpanned. A frown took its place on my face and I looked around only to witness an empty entrance. Wait... What?!
"A-Are we late?" I asked as my eyes were as huge as possible. Being late after trying so hard not to be... It just triggers me a lot.
"No, we aren't but will be if you keep blabbering." She chuckled in her deep voice while looking at her nails.
"O-Oh... Yeah, right... Let's go!" I smiled before dashing back inside. I could literally hear her whining because I left her behind.
Ha! Gotcha!
You gotta grow up, sis!
...
Faces... Just blank faces all around me...
I kept looking down all the time, being timid and nervous as fuck. I had just given my introduction to the new class but no one seemed to be surprised or even a little bright. They all looked so down. Maybe I made a fool out of myself... I shouldn't have acted so cheerfully and enthusiastic. Ugh! Someone, please fuck me-
"Thank you Miss Miso."
Mr. Cha, our class teacher spoke, finally breaking the ice of awkwardness which made me sigh in relief.
Thank you, Mr. Cha... I owe you one...
"Anyways, everyone, may I have your attention please!" Everyone looked at the teacher with their most 'attentive' faces which made me mentally facepalm. "Miss Miso is new to our school so I'd really appreciate it if you all would be supportive and helpful towards her."
Finally someone good...
"Miss Miso? You may take your seat." Mr. Cha nodded with a sly smile which I reciprocated back and walked towards my chair that was just beside Jisoo's. She gave me a thumbs-up and I laughed slightly, looking at her admirable gestures.
"Okay, then let's start our new chapter!" The teacher announced before looking at his textbook. "Everyone, open up your book to page number 69."
...
My hands trailed down the dark-brown desk that looked familiar... So familiar. It gave me those feelings again. The feeling of being engulfed in warm hugs by my friends at lunchtime... The feeling of joy when they smiled and laughed... It all... It made me miserably sad cuz I didn't have a single memory of them. Just their presence and feels...
I sighed to myself, trying to drive up the impotent sadness. I looked infront of myself, observing each and every student. They were all taking down notes, but wait...
What?
There was this certain guy who was blankly staring outside the classroom as if waiting for it to end. He was wearing a long black hoodie that covered his face, making me irritated as I couldn't even get a glance at his face. Also, he was continuously tapping the desk's leg with his foot, producing an annoying sound.
What's up with him? Doesn't he need to study?
I scoffed in pure aggravation and nudged Jisoo with my arm. She flinched with the sudden contact and looked back at me with her wide doe eyes, as if in shock. Well yeah... Unlike other spoiled brats, she focuses on her studies. What do you even expect from the one and only Kim Jisoo?
"Yeah?" She asked with a slight smile latched to her lips. Keeping back her pencil down, she put her ear closer to my mouth as we were whispering. The teacher was teaching so we couldn't just shout out loud.
"Who's that guy? What's wrong with him? He doesn't like to study? Like those spoilt kids?"
"Calm your ass down! One by one, woman." Jisoo chuckled before keeping her pencil down and focusing completely on me.
"Who is he?" I asked once again. I didn't know why, but I was just feeling absolutely curious all of a sudden. The urge of knowing the mysterious hoodie guy stirred up in me.
"Oh him... He's uh, Kim Taehyung." She replied in an awkward tone. I peered at her with a frowned face.
Why did she sound so uncomfortable? Did I make a mistake by mentioning him?
"Just a piece of advice, stay away from him." She quickly spoke before focusing back on her jotted-down notes.
What...
Why?
"But why?" I questioned back again. I felt a little desperate. I'm certainly not a person with a lot of patience, so if someone hides something from me, it makes me so curious that I can't stop until I reach the topic's core even if it means that 'curiosity kills the cat'...
"What are you hiding, Jisoo?" She sighed, knowing that I indeed wouldn't stop if she didn't answer me back and so, she pursed her lips before speaking again.
"Miso... Kim Taehyung is a very weird guy. He doesn't pay much attention in class, but that doesn't mean that he isn't good at his studies. He's perfect at it! I mean, all of his exam results are a 100/100. He's typically a quiet boy who pays attention with his ears, not his eyes." She spoke.
"100/100?!"
"Yep!"
"No, you're lying!"
"Pinch yourself, and you'll know."
"But still!"
"Yeah right..."
I sighed.
"But Jisoo, isn't that like, so damn amazing? Perfect in every subject? Then... Why're you calling him weird?" I questioned, looking at her reluctant state. Staring back at the boy, I noticed how his gaze was fixed on the window where the rain was pouring hardly while the raindrops were settling down.
"I know... But we should look at both sides of the coin... He may be a 'good' student with excellent grades, but guess what? There are very strange cases of him that have made us all very bewildered." She stated while biting her lips. "Some students tried to bully him, thinking that he was too naive and they went too far... They beat him up and even choked him to death! But still, he didn't report it to the principal. You know what happened the next day? A piece of unexpected news came out that all those students who bullied him were found dead... It shocked everyone. We all gave it the name of 'coincidence' but all of our doubts got cleared when some boys bullied him again. He never spoke anything but just kept on looking down at his feet. And once more, just like the first situation, the other boys died aswell!"
H-Huh...? Come again?
By the time she finished, I was stunned... He indeed is mysterious and weird... But killing someone? Nah... He doesn't look that dangerous now, does he?
"So Miso, try your best not to encounter him or get in any kind of argument with him. He may look like those flowery boys but no... He's really secretive. Talking to him is like trying to cut one of your lifelines which you certainly wouldn't want to." She smiled sadly at me with a hint of worry, flowing in her eyes. My eyes too softened at the sight.
She cares...
Just like the old her...
"O-Oh... Okay then. I'll try to be away from him." I nodded. I was about to say something again, but before I could, a voice interrupted us.
"Girls? Mind sharing your discussion with us? The way you're talking looks like you're really engaged in it. What's so interesting than my discussion?"
Fuck, everything is...
"N-Nothing sir..." Jisoo and I smiled nervously at Mr. Cha who was looking at us with one of his eyebrows raised.
I sighed when he looked away and shook my head, trying to forget about it all. My mind was basically a piece of a mess... The information Jisoo gave me, really shocked me. Maybe that's the reason I'm not able to think properly, right? *sigh* Let's just focus on the class for now...
...
KKKKKKRRRRRRIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!
The bell for the hometime finally rang after 94938103439302 hours! Wasn't the school just for 5 hours? Then how come it extended so much? This is abuse! Aren't we supposed to get a notice saying 'a mental abuse for your child for just 943354832754324 hours which would make her very smart!' Wow...
How do nerds even like this shit named 'education'? Smh...
"Finally..." Muttering in a whisper, I stood up with everyone and hung my bag on my shoulder. Everyone started to leave the classroom one by one and I was the last one to walk towards the door.
The moment I reached the doorknob, I felt a disturbing presence of something behind me which caused me to look to automatically discontinue my steps. My eyebrows creased in confusion and I turned around only to gasp at the view.
"His bag..." I uttered in disbelief. That Tim Kaehyung! Wait... That sounds wrong. Oh right! Kim Taehyung!
How can he just carelessly go home without his bag?
"Ugh..."I sighed before my legs started to take me towards his seat, where my hands automatically trailed down on his bags. My fingertips were brushing against the soft fabric of his bag until something hard and rough made my fingers abruptly stop caressing it.
"What?" I looked down at his bag, at the particular spot where something was printed sharply. I kneeled down and focused on the letters clearly, causing my lips to move without my consent.
"KTH..."
Huh?
Oh... He's Kim Taehyung, right? Maybe that's why...
What now? What am I supposed to do with his bag now? Shall I take it? No way... I don't even know where he is... Then? I can't leave it, too. The guards might close the school gates.
I nibbled on my lower lip before taking a final move but my actions stopped when a phrase lingered in my mind.
"So Miso, try your best not to encounter him or get in any kind of argument with him. He may look like those flowery boys but no... He's really secretive. Talking to him is like trying to cut one of your lifelines which you certainly wouldn't want to."
Jisoo's words... She was right. I should try my best to avoid him, not cling to him like a brainless bitch and get into trouble by myself. But then again, what about his bag!
AGH!
FINE!
I'LL TAKE IT HOME WITH ME!
I was about to grab his bag but before I could, a loud thud occurred just at the door, which made me yelp in fear. I looked behind with my horror-filled eyes and spotted a tall, furious figure looking at the bag in my hands.
T-The hoodie guy...
He was still wearing the black hoodie on his big figure. The only difference was, that I could see his face this time... That pointed nose and those pink-plum and luscious lips groomed perfectly with those chocolate-brown coffee-dense eyes that were hiding something under their cold, fierce gaze. Innocence...? Sadness? Anxiousness? I didn't know... But I was sure it was one of them...
I just needed to find it...
Wait...
WHAT?!
W-Why will I find it?! I don't even know him! And encountering him just after being warned by my friend. Uh... Doesn't feel so good.
"U-Um, Hey." I chuckled awkwardly. The atmosphere was so damn thick that I felt up the urge to break the ice, which probably wasn't a very good idea...
He stopped breathing heavily and walked towards me with big steps. The moment he reached me, he harshly pulled his bag away from my grip, causing me to hiss.
Damn, that hurt!
"Ow! What's wrong with you?!" I yelled in a displeasing manner. But the realization soon hit me, which made me gulp the saliva down my dry throat.
O-Oh no...
"Just a piece of advice, stay away from him."
S-Shit. I fucked up...
He soon held my hands tightly and before I knew it, he pinned me under him on the door of the classroom.
My eyes widened at the sudden body contact and I flinched before my legs trembled...
"W-What are you doing?" I gulped and bit my lips. It was really frustrating to be pinned under his gaze and I had to admit it. He was intimidating...
He didn't say anything at first but just kept breathing heavily, as if trying to calm himself down.
"What are you doing with my bag?!" He roared with his cold voice which made me almost freeze. That voice... It... It made me feel something. Something weird... It made me feel scared, submissive, and emotional...
It felt a sensation I had ages ago but was locked deep down in my heart. And now, it has come back. But what is this feeling...?
Why?
I don't even know him... But his voice is so pleasing and familiar...
He looked back at my thinking eyes and raised his eyebrows. Snapping his fingers infront of my face, he got me back to my senses and I blinked in confusion.
Wah... What an amazing first expression...
"You're the one who has something wrong with her." He smirked furiously and walked away, leaving my hands in a harsh way. All this time, no matter what expression he had, his eyes were completely void of every emotion. Very cold...
THUD!
I breathed out a sigh of relief.
He went out of the classroom but poor him... A book from his bag fell down on the ground. he had already gone away so he couldn't even know about it.
It was wide open...
I didn't know what, but something drew my attention to the book and I dashed towards it, picking it up and brushing its corners slightly. The moment I felt a velvety texture under my fingers, I looked at it in shock.
"O-Oh shit! It's his diary..."
I gasped at the red-colored mysterious book which had an antique lock and key attached to it...
Its look showed that it was a diary but then...
Why are the pages completely blank?
I mean, it's a diary. Shouldn't it have something written in it?
Whatever...
What now...?

I like the book so far, hbu? 💜
If you don't like it, then not my problem... You just don't have the basic humor 'hoe'. (sarcasm intended)
*don't take the upper line too seriously. I was just feeling like a bad bitch while writing it at that time, now I regret it.* 🌚
It was a little rushed, right? 😅
See ya in the next update! 😶
