12: The Shocking Encounter (3/3)
"Huh? Strawberry? Are you a kid?!" I backfired and he hung his head low, just focusing on his cone, and eating it up, completely ignoring me. I soon smirked when I noticed the slight blush of embarrassment painted over his cheeks.
"Shut up and eat."
"Whatever..." I playfully rolled my eyes and too concentrated on the chocolate ice cream. It was a different type of chocolate. It wasn't plain but had nuts all over and in it, and the cream was covered with dark-brown hard chocolate frosted all around it. It also had some brownie pieces sprinkled on top of it, to make it taste eat-worthy. The cone too was pink in color and tasted like cherries.
I stopped walking when he moved away from the path and walked in another direction, making me follow him lazily.
"Yah! Where are you going?" I asked but soon widened my eyes when I noticed his stop. Observing the surroundings, I noticed the place. It was like a park but with no swings. The ground was completely green with the rich grass that was enveloping the mud, smoothening and softening the layer's texture. The cool breeze that was blowing, waved the grass and it danced in response to the wind as if happily nodding back. The park was exceptionally silent as it was getting late. The soft sound of the grass was something that could calm anyone...
"Wow..." My mouth gaped open when I saw the beauty of nature before me. The hair behind my ear, too, came out and moved with the wind, witnessing the cool breeze.
"Sit down," Taehyung spoke advancing towards the grass to settle down. Once he did, he patted the place beside him, motioning me to sit. I just exhaled quietly before walking over and sitting down. We both just kept looking at the view before us. It was like stargazing... Sitting over the velvety grass and looking at the night sky filled with stars, making it look heavenly. I had always imagined doing this but it just remained an imagination... And now, when I'm in the most unexpected situation and with the unexpected person, it's happening... Life's really unpredictable, right?
After some moments, my lips decided to open by themselves and speak out before my senses kicked in.
"Why don't you have friends?" I muttered but the very next second, my face became red in discomfiture. I knew there wasn't anything to be ashamed of, but it just felt as if I was being too personal with him...
Surprisingly, he just sighed and when I saw him, his eyes looked sad.
"I just don't have one."
"And you don't try to make one either?"
"I do have some friends, but they're not from this school..." He tilted his head without looking back at me, showing that it wasn't a big deal but in my opinion, it was. Having friends is good. But no one in school? Isn't that like so damn lonely? No one to talk to about your fun in class, no one to help you with your projects and homework, no one to support you while bitching about the 'old' teachers, no one to share your thoughts on fights and classmates... That really makes a person feel almost like an outcast.
"You should have friends in school..." I encouraged, glancing at him before looking back at the sky. He just nodded and laid down on the ground, stretching his hands and legs in a relaxing position over the cold grass.
"And... Do you know about the rumors made for you?" I finally asked. It really was a big deal to muster up all the courage and brew about it in my mind before finally spilling it out. Ever since Jisoo said those things, I just can't keep quiet. I'm always thinking about it...
"Hm? What rumors?" He asked while darting his eyes towards me with raised eyebrows, emphasizing his confused and creased forehead.
"That when some boys bullied you, they died mysteriously. And since then, no one initiates a conversation with you. They all ignore you cuz they think you were the reason why the boys died... Don't you acknowledge the rumors?" I spoke out and gazed at him with a perplexed expression when he just calmly heard my words, without a single speck of worry or disbelief on his face. Instead, his eyes were closed...
"Hm... Then that's good..."
"What?"
"Yeah! Don't you think so too?" He opened his eyes before sitting back and looking at me as if waiting for a reply. "Isn't it good? No one will bully me out of the fear that something might happen to them? Even if it wasn't true, they won't hurt or stress me. Isn't that a good thing, huh?" He replied back in a challenging tone.
"B-But you don't have any friends..." I stuttered in doubt.
"Instead of having several backstabbers, it's good to be alone and toxic-free, no?"
Ugh... His words have always made me speechless. His answers are somewhat right as well as wrong! Yeah... Being alone instead of betraying friends is better but not everyone's the same, right? Some friends are good. And that's how the word 'friendship' is alive.
"And besides," He continued, snapping me out of my trance. "You're here, right? So I'm not alone." Shrugging, he continued with his 'resting' session whereas my heartbeats increased once again. This never happened to me whenever I was with him... Okay, yes, it did happen even during our first encounter but it wasn't so intense as it was today in that alley... Now, I'm viewing him differently from what I had. Maybe I should stop calling him 'taehole'. At first, I saw him as a rude and jerky classmate but surprisingly, now it's as a man... I don't know if my thoughts are wrong or if I should or not think like this but I can't help it. Our brain loves to keep thinking about what we like...
"What... Do you think of me like your friend?" I asked hopefully with sparkling eyes although being friend-zoned wasn't something so pleasant. But still, it was like a step toward getting closer to taehol- oops, Taehyung!
"Mhm? I don't know."
All the sparkle I had in my eyes faded away and got replaced with irritation when I noticed him smirking at me.
"But you may be. If you try to be good to me, then I might reconsider." He retorted back. And I thought he was finally realizing how perfect I am... But no! He ain't worth it. I wonder if he feels what I feel for him.
"I don't need your consideration." Scoffing and rolling my eyes, I got off of the ground, slightly dusting and brushing my clothes. It was already too late and I needed to go back home now. Soon, I started walking in the direction of my house along with unsteady footsteps that were striding behind me, indicating that it was Taehyung. The crunching of grass implied that he was behind me.
"Where are you going?" He questioned, finally matching his footsteps with mine. Seriously? Isn't it obvious?
"I'm going home. If you want, then you can stay out and be hunted by the Joker. I won't mind." I answered before walking even faster. Honestly, I didn't want to spend more time with him because the more I did, the more I felt attached to him, which I didn't want to.
He just chuckled and too, walked faster. "Yeah? The 'Joker'?"
I just shook my head and didn't say a word.
"Let me drop you."
My breath hitched. And when I looked at him, he looked undisturbed, without even a tiny expression of shock or nervousness on any crevice of his face.
"Huh? Do you have a vehicle?" I asked in anticipation. I have always loved bike rides... But the next moment, all my hopes were crushed just like always.
"Nope. We're gonna walk." He simply blinked and walked while trying not to laugh.
"You're crazy!"
"What? What did I even do?"
"Your opinions are always idiotic!"
"How does that make me crazy?! Also, my opinions ain't 'idiotic'!"
"Yes, they are!"
"You're the one who's idiotic and crazy!"
"Oh yeah?"
"Oh yeah!"
...
We were finally standing infront of my house. The room lights were still on, as was seen from the window, indicating that Yoongi and Namjoon were still awake. I wondered how to go inside without getting shouted at. Oh god...
Taehyung was just standing with his hands in his pockets and I glanced at him before advancing towards the door. Before I could touch the bell, the door swung open, with light, warmth, and food aroma seeping out through the kitchen that was quite near the entrance door.
My eyes popped out when I noticed Yoongi looking at me with an unpleased look while rolling his tongue on his inner cheek.
"H-Hi Yoongles!" I waved showing my thirty-two teeth, trying to loosen the thick atmosphere. He was about to say something but before he could, he noticed the figure behind me.
His eyes twisted in confusion and he walked past me to Taehyung, as if wanting to assure something.
"Yoongi! What are you doing?!" I gasped when he reached Taehyung. He soon observed his features and fisted his hands looking at Taehyung. All Taehyung did was stare at him, blankly.
"What are you doing with him, Miso?!" Yoongi almost roared, scaring the shit out of me. His form was slightly shaking in anger and I had no clue why... He was acting strange.
"Do you know him, Yoongi?" I asked calmly, not thinking much but the reply I got from him was unexpected.
"Go. To. Your. Room." He commanded but I wasn't going to bulge. Why are these things happening? In my life, each and everyone knows each other or what? Jisoo knows Taehyung and probably Jungkook and Jimin too. Jungkook knows me when I have never met him before. Now Yoongi also knows Taehyung? And the worst part is that their relationship doesn't look very friendly. It's rather heated...
"How do you know Taehyung, Yoongi?" I suspected. But Yoongi just shouted back at me carelessly, not caring about my opinion...
"GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE, CAN YOU?!"
My body flinched and sudden tears swelled up in my eyes. I was scared but I still wanted to know more... But because I knew that the atmosphere isn't something good, I decided to suck up my curiosity for now cuz if I didn't, then the cat would surely die out of curiosity this time...
Walking in with a heavy heart, I closed the door behind me with a thud.

Third Person Perspective
Once Miso went inside, Yoongi looked back at the person infront of him with a sudden rage in his eyes. He has always been a calm boy like his father but today, after seeing the man, his anger knew no limits. And that man is no other than Taehyung...
"What do you want from us?!" He controlled his anger and asked, trying to peacefully end it all but he knew that when it was Taehyung, nothing could be peaceful. There had to be a fight now or later. So if there will be a fight in both situations then why not confront the man and end up with all the things?
"Hm? What do I want?" Taehyung's blank expressions changed into wicked ones and he chuckled. He hummed before 'thinking' and walking around Yoongi in circles. Soon he gasped and looked back at his rageful formation.
"Hyung c'mon... You should know the best... Alright, be honest with me. Don't you know what I want, hm?" Taehyung exclaimed while biting his lips with a cunning look plastered onto his face. He knew where the talk was going and he wasn't scared to talk about it.
"Don't beat around the bush and spill it, son of a bitch!" Yoongi shouted, trying to kick him but all in vain because Taehyung dodged the kick. Well of course he would. He was a professional after all.
"WELL! Guess what?" Taehyung nodded, trying to provoke Yoongi with all his might but Yoongi too knew how to stay within his limits. He knew how to control himself and that's exactly what he did. He knew bursting out would only cause Taehyung to become happy and get what he wanted and so, he wasn't going to do it.
"What?" He asked while chuckling just the way Taehyung did. He needed to. Taehyung just widened his eyes with the smirk on his face never leaving him. He was amused to see how far Yoongi could go.
"You have already caused a lot of trouble for us. End this bullshit and leave us alone Taehyung. Things have ended between us and now, I don't want to argue on this matter. You know it yet, you're always trying to do something that would burst my bubble." Yoongi gritted his teeth while explaining his point of view. By now, he was burning with anger and betrayal. But oh... Little did he know, it was a big misunderstanding. Well, this whole plot was a trap of misunderstanding set up by someone just to let what's happening right now.
"Oh yeah? And all the trouble you caused for her? All that you did to her? What about that? How do you pay for that?" Taehyung retailed, indirectly pressing Yoongi's button which would certainly end his controlling power. "And you even forgot about her? How... I mean damn... Are you even a human, hyung? Or just some mass of flesh with no soul living on this pla-"
Before Taehyung could complete his sentence, Yoongi punched him swiftly, causing him to fall down but not with fear. With new, fresh power and feeling of fighting this time.
"Shut up your filthy mouth, Kim! Leave us alone! I know your intentions towards Miso. You better stop it cuz if she gets hurt then I'm not letting you live peacefully. I will even haunt you after my death." And it was no lie that he wouldn't. After seeing Taehyung, Yoongi understood that Taehyung was trying to make Miso catch feelings for him so that he would hurt her. And Yoongi knew that he needed to step in because if he didn't, then Miso would surely get into a lot of trouble and agony.
"Yeah..." Taehyung slowly chuckled in his deep voice. And it wasn't a chuckle of fun, it was a chuckle of pain. His pain slowly turned into the fire that wanted to burn everything and everyone within its flames and his chuckles transformed into heavy, maniac-like laughter that he couldn't stop. He looked like a psycho but he somewhat was one after everything happened.
"REALLY?! Then what about me?! What about my feelings?! Didn't you say you cared about me?! Then why the hell didn't you even try to get justice for her?! Why did you cover up the matter? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" he breathed heavily after shouting his lungs out with his red and teary eyes.
"And yeah... I WILL DO EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK I'LL DO WITH MISO! I'LL SLOWLY KILL HER DEEP INSIDE SO THAT SHE FEELS THE PAIN I FELT BECAUSE OF HER!" Yoongi's eyes became big with his words. He was about to shout back, asking Taehyung not to dare do anything but he stopped when Taehyung winked at him.
"She liked me in the past, didn't she?"
Yoongi went silent.
"So it won't take much time to make her fall again. And this time, I promise, I'll do something beyond your imagination, Min! Mark my words.... I'll fucking destroy her." That's all he said before wiping his bloody lips from the back of his hands and shoving them into his pocket. He soon walked away, leaving Yoongi stoned and scared.
"Never... Not even over my dead body." Yoongi mumbled, looking at his figure that was slowly disappearing, by erupting in a black-colored mist.
He knew he would do anything this time. This time, he won't let anything happen to his Miso... Even when he has to lie, he would do it all for her. He might tease her, but in the end, he loves her. He set up his goal and now, nothing could stop him.
