I stopped struggling in his grip, feeling useless. He was stronger than, me and if I did escape he would stop time and grab me again because I was still in his range. He was right, after all, I failed Jonathan and he died on the boat, only to have his body stolen. Then I failed Joseph, even though I protected him against the pillar men, Dio still killed him. Both generations I've protected have died under the protection I gave them. Even Jonathan's son died to Dio's hand because Dio's minion killed him. Now, Holy will die, because we couldn't defeat Dio.

   " I couldn't protect. . .anyone. "

Even Kakyoin, Dire, Avdol, Iggy, Caesar, and Loggs died. I tried protecting them, but I still failed.

   " Don't be upset, my dear. It's natural for you to cry, but at least you've finally realized it's useless, to fight against me. "

You let him hold you. Your tears stopped pouring out of your eyes and you felt numb. Your chest hurt immensely and you were hyperventilating. 

   " My love, try and stay calm. Everything will be over soon and then we can go and rest. "

   " Your invincible. I. . .I can't stop you."

   " That's right. Try and calm down, my love. I need to take care of some business. "

Dio held you close, loving the feeling of you submitting to him. He knew it would take time between you two before the love you once had for him came back. But he was willing to wait, for you. He waited for a little over a century, he could wait longer. Dio looked across the road at Jotaro, who was glaring at him. Jotaro felt a rage like he had never felt before. The only time he had ever come close to the rage he felt now was with Wheel of Fortune, when he thought you died.

   " Come now, don't worry. At least he's joining Kakyoin. Polnareff must be hiding around here somewhere. Though I guess it doesn't matter, you're next Jotaro. Time to die. "

   " Damn you, Dio! "

Jotaro started approaching Dio, and he was slowly coming into range. 

   " Oh? So you still want to fight? It would appear pigheadedness runs in the family. How ungrateful can you be? You're blatantly ignoring your grandfather's wishes. Even after he gave his life to tell you about the power of The World. Surely, his pathetic pleas were in a bed of consideration. "

   " I have to move closer if I want to beat your sorry ass to a pulp. "

   " Really? Okay then by all means come closer. "

Dio walked to the wall of the building on the sidewalk and set you down. He tilted your head up and kissed your forehead. 

   " Stay here okay? I'll be right back, my love. "

Dio kissed your lips quickly, and stood up, walking towards Jotaro. Your head went limp and you just stared at the ground. Jotaro felt even more enraged when he saw Dio kiss you. He wanted to kill the bastard that had murdered everyone, and that downgraded you to the point you looked miserable. Jotaro looked at your eyes and he felt his heart rate quicken, but his heart quickened out of concern and rage. You looked broken. Your eyes didn't show any emotion. You wouldn't even stand up to protect him or yell at him to run. You had given up.

   ' Even my Endgame wouldn't work. My Endgame follows my orders, and Gold Spirit would have persistantly attacked Dio, but he's stronger, and he can stop time. I wouldn't be able to land a hit on him, even now. I would just use up all of my energy and he would still have me. '

   ' Damn it, Y/n. He broke your soul. ' JoJo thought.

Jotaro and Dio walked closer, and Star Platinum appeared. He was quick to throw a punch at Dio, but The World appeared and kneed Star Platinum's leg. Jotaro's pants ripped and a red spot formed where Star Platinum was hit.

   " You'll have to be faster! My stand is more powerful than any other! Even without The World's tremendous power and speed it would still out class your pitiful Star Platinum. "

   " Your stand has a lot in common with my Star Platinum. We're not long-range fighters, we have incredible power and precision. "

   " If I'm being honest, I've always had a desire to see how much stronger The World is compared with Star Platinum. But it seems pointless to compare them now. "

   " Wait are you serious? All you did was give me a love tap on the leg. And you ripped my 20,000 yen pants. "

   " For the life of me, I can't figure out why you Joestars are so stubborn. FIne, I'll shall accept your cheap provocation. Let our comparison resume. "

The World flew towards Star Platinum and he threw punches at him, but Star Platinum blocked all of them. He pushed The World and used his leg to kick him, but he ended up kicking a metal pole. The World came from behind the pole, but Star Platinum's forearm connected with The Worlds. Star Platinum threw two punches on each side of The World's face, but all it created was a cut under Dio's right eye. They threw punch after punch at an incredible speed, until their knuckles met, and they pushed the other's knuckle, but they didn't move. 

Their power was equivalent.

   " Comparing our punching speed? " Dio asked, as he healed the cut.

Star Platinum and The World pushed each other away and continued throwing punches, each blocking the other. Dio already had a gold fire-like glow around, hum but Jotaro started floating in the air, meeting Dio's power. They both flew in the air as Star Platinum and The World were punching each other. The World threw a punch at Star Platinum, but instead of meeting fists, his fist went around Star's and hit him in the face. Which caused blood to spill from Jotaro's unchanging expression. 

   " It seems I was right, about The World's speed and power exceeding that of Star Platinum. So, there's nothing left to do, but bring this game to an end. It should have been done ages ago, but I'll finally be rid of you Joestars once and for all. "

Jotaro yelled out in rage and Star Platinum started throwing punches, more powerful than the last.

   " Using the power of my stand, I'll send you all into oblivion! Now, The World will stop time itself! "

Time stopped before your eyes, and you couldn't tell what was happening while time stopped. Time stopped for only a few seconds so you couldn't see anything that happened in that time, but when time started again, Jotaro and Dio were still floating in the air. But Dio appeared behind Jotaro, instead on in front of him. 

   " Jotaro, could you see me? "

Jotaro didn't respond, but he did turn towards Dio.

   " Did you hear me!? I asked if you could see my movements! "

   ' I couldn't. What happened when time stopped? '

   " See what? You're not making sense. Do you need to have your eyes checked Dio? "

Jotaro then developed the same gold glow Dio had. It covered him and flickered like a fire. Jotaro kicked the air and flew towards the building you were laid at. He looked into your eyes, and he still saw how lifeless they were. Star Platinum punched the building he was heading for, and Jotaro flew towards the ground. He picked you up in a bridal fashion and flew upwards, toward the sky. 

   " Just you wait! You can't run forever! Seeing me isn't going to do you any good when time is standing still! "

The World kicked the same building Star Platinum had and he followed you and Jotaro.

   " Y/n, wake up! Come back to me! "

   " Jotaro, I. . .I'm useless, you should just let me go. I won't be of any use to you. "

   " Don't let his words get to you! He belittled you, so you would give up! I need you with me! "

   " But, Jotaro-"

   " Y/n! "

Jotaro grasped my face with one of his hands while the other still held me in a bridal position and I looked into his eyes. They sparkled and it held the fight that every pair of Joestar eyes had.

   " Your hope drives you. Your hope to see another day, and protect those who are innocent. Wasn't that what you said at the mansion? "

   " I did, but he's so powerful. I-I can't even-"

   "You are not useless! You've protected everyone multiple times to the point you almost died! Dio is just a stronger stand user. So, let's take care of him like we did all of the others, together. "

The numb feeling in my chest started to leave and I could hear everything clearly, without the rate of my heart coming to my ears. I gripped Jotaro's hand, tightly.

   " Okay. "

   " And I told you a long time ago, call me JoJo. You kept saying Jotaro. "

   " Fine JoJo. "

I looked at Dio behind us and I saw that he was almost in range. I started charging my Hamon.

   " JoJo, I'm going to lace myself in Hamon along with your hands. I can't cover you because I don't have a lot of energy left. But it'll keep me with you. "

   " Then do it, before he stops time again. "

   " Hamon shield! "

   " The World! "

Hamon covered me from head to toe along with Jotaro's hands, before time stopped. I could only stay with Jotaro, then in the blink of an eye I'm turned around with Jotaro, and Star Platinum punched a hole through The World and Dio, at an impossible speed. Then Star Platinum threw The World and Dio to the ground. Dio flew through a book shop window, and Jotaro followed him. Jotaro landed on the sign of the building.

   " I was able to move for a second there, that's a good sign. Even so, that's not much. It would only give me enough time for a single punch. "

   " At least you can start and stop time. I'm left defenseless. Whether it's you or Dio, I can't see what you both do when time stops. Because I can't stop it. I blink and then something is happening, and I don't have time to comprehend what even happened in those seconds of stopped time. "

   " Yeah, we're both at a disadvantage. He won't hurt you while time is stopped, so keep that Hamon shield around you when I'm with you. That way I know he won't pull you away from me. "

   " Got it. "

Jotaro jumped to the ground and I landed beside him. When we looked into the store, Dio was standing perfectly fine, but the woman behind him was shriveled up like a prune.

   " Well, that's good to know. It seems I'll have to blow your head off to do any significant damage. Bastard, you've already siphoned off enough energy to heal yourself. It's like that gaping hole I opened in your gut was never even there. " 

I blinked and he's not in the store anymore. We turned around and he was standing behind us. Jotaro's eyes were already on him. 

   " Your eyes followed me even while time was frozen. Which confirms that you can see my movements, isn't that right Jotaro? "

   " Nervous yet, sweetheart? "

   " Not at all. Kakyoin did you quite the favor. Because of his brilliant mind, he was able to correctly deduce The World's secret and because he passed that information along you've figured out that I could stop time at will and learned how to do it yourself. "

Unknown to Dio, he was within my range. Gold Spirit appeared behind him with her sword ready. She lunged at him, but his stand was quick. He pushed my sword away, with a cut along each of his arms.

   " You forget, that you're within my range, Dio. "

The World was fast, but with a sword, Gold Spirit was faster. She danced around The World, sometimes landing stab wounds, and others getting blocked but leaving a nasty cut. When I blinked Dio was gone, and I couldn't see where he was. Gold Spirit came back to me, and I heard his voice.

   " My dear, you've wounded me. Your Gold Spirit was not made for hand-to-hand combat, but she does a magnificent job of healing. No matter the wound it can be healed, as long as you can make it in time. "

I looked up and saw Dio on top of a building. He was out of my range, and Gold Spirit couldn't reach him. He had blood dripping down his arms, chest, and mouth, but they started healing.

   " But, she still is not faster than The World. You are so vulnerable when time stops, I assume that's why Jotaro has taken you with him. You're defenseless. "

   " And that's all I need. If JoJo can be there for me then I can stand. "

   " I'll catch you off guard at some point and take you from him, even your Hamon can't travel around you as fast as a second, it takes two. I am curious how long you can move while time is frozen, Jotaro. Two seconds? Or maybe three? Or, perhaps, you can move five seconds like me, but you're pretending you can't to gain some kind of advantage. Clever. Which is it? " He asked laughing.

Jotaro's fists clenched, and I held his hand with mine. He gripped my hand tightly, but it helped calm him a little.

   " If I was forced to make a guess, I would say you could only move for a second. Be that as it may, you've still managed to infiltrate my world. Only a fool would risk approaching you now, which gives Y/n an advantage. And though I am many things, a fool is not one of them. While it's achingly clear that my advantage over you is overwhelming,  I've still advised a way to execute you! So, regardless of how long you can move in my world, you can never escape your demise! "

Dio revealed knives around his belt and in his hand. They looked like the same one that Joseph was stabbed with. I felt JoJo flinch, but I just gripped his hand.

   " You're as white as a sheet! Do these bring back memories? Do they remind you that you're going to die a death more horrific than your pathetic grandfather? "

Jotaro used Star Platinum's legs and jumped off the ground. He held my hand tightly and we were in the sky again. I heard Dio laugh below me, and I knew what he was planning.

   ' I need to be ready. No doubt JoJo is going to move in the one-second time frame, but I can at least help him in that one second if he can keep his hand with mine. If he has our hands connected I should be able to move when he does, because it's affecting me when he holds me or just my hand. '

   " There is no escape! The World! "

When time froze you remembered that you had five seconds. You blinked and JoJo started moving. You looked at the situation quickly. Star Platinum punched the knives, beside him, and you moved in front of the rest before time stopped for you and JoJo. JoJo's eyes were on your figure, and he knew that if he didn't act in when time started, you would die.

   " Oh, look at that. You've got two more seconds and that's the best you've got? Even your protector knew you wouldn't stand a chance. But I won't let her go down with you."

Dio floated closely to Jotaro and grabbed your hand. He pulled you out of Jotaro's grip, and he let himself get burned by the Hamon. When you were free of the knives that would come your way, Dio let you float in the air so he could heal his hand.

   " Her, Hamon certainly has gotten stronger. It hurt to even be near her when time is stopped. There's one second left to go, I wonder what you're thinking? Are you glad I saved her, or are you furious that she's in my grasp? Let me tell you, Jotaro, I have loved her for more than a century, and I've given her everything, but because of you and your crusaders, I've had to make some tough decisions, one of them was killing you and your comrades, which hurt her. I am determined to have her with me, and I promise you, she will be mine by the end of this. You are undeserving of her, and my love is as old as time, if you hadn't showed up, then she would have come to me anyway. Her love for me is inevitable, so, give up. "

   ' That bastard, he thinks he can make her happy after this? He's killed too many people, he's belittled her, and he has broken her once and mixed her sense of what is wrong and right. He's the one who isn't deserving. She's too good for the likes of him. '

   " Zero. "

Time started, and Star Platinum punched the knives around him, but he was stabbed in the chest, and it made him cough up blood.

   " It's over, but one can never be to careful. "

You looked over at Jotaro and saw how he was stabbed. Dio threw another knife and it went into his skull.

   " To be honest, I'm relieved I was able to do away with you so quickly, Jotaro. "

Dio caught your wrist before you fell to the ground, but Jotaro was knocked to the ground by the force of the knives. His breathing had halted and it made you worry. 

   ' No, not again! '

Jotaro hit the ground and dust flew everywhere. I couldn't see his body, in the cloud of dust. Dio sat down on the chimney of a house, and he set you in his lap. He rested his chin on your shoulder and it brought back memories, from Jonathan fighting Tarukus and Blueford.

   " Sorry, but the mantle master of time is reserved for me alone. " Dio said gesturing to himself.

   " JoJo. . ."

   " My love, don't worry about him. He's dead, can't you feel his lungs have stopped working? "

   ' They have. '

   " It's just us. "

   " Do, you think I'll love you after this? "

   " You will. Once I check if he's dead we can go find somewhere dark and quiet to rest. "

   " I'm going to kill you. "

   " I don't believe you will. Remember earlier? You were so broken and torn up. I hated seeing you that way, but it managed to calm you down. It's too late, my love. He cannot be saved. "

Dio stood up and flew down to the ground. He had his arm wrapped around me and he pressed me against his stomach. My legs felt week, just by looking at his body. I couldn't hear or feel the air leaving his lungs. He wasn't even moving.

   ' He died like Joseph. '

   " JoJo. I'm sorry. . ." I cried.

Dio leaned over and wiped the tears off my face, and The World appeared beside him.

   " I'm going to do one more check for good measure. The Joestars have a way of coming back from the dead. And there's a chance Jotaro's putting on this death act. "

   " Really? You're going to check? He's. . .dead. I can't hear his lungs moving or any air leaving his body. My Hamon can't do anything. "

   " I trust your word, but it's still good to check, my love. I need to make sure he's gone, for good. And I'll use this-"

Dio took a road sign and cut the metal pole at the bottom. He lifted the road sign in his hand.

   " To sever that troublesome head of his! "

Dio jumped, and I charged up my Hamon to escape his arm and give him a distraction. I saw Polnareff on one of the buildings and I feel a smile on my face. He jumped off the building and I knew it was time.

   " Hamon overdrive! "

My entire body was covered in Hamon and Dio hissed at the sting of Hamon touching him. I landed on the ground and Polnareff had Silver Chariot behind him. 

   " Die, Dio! "

Silver Chariot stabbed him through the head, directly through the brain. I blinked and Polnareff was flying towards a building with blood coming out of his mouth.

   " Pol! "

I tried running towards him but Dio grabbed my hand.

   " Hamon punch! "

I sent a Hamon-filled punch to Dio, and it made a connection. It burned his stomach. Gold Spirit formed beside me, and her sword lunged at Dio, with Hamon.

   " My love you how you are a fool in this time! "

I knew he was going to stop time, so Gold Spirit went away and I charged my body with Hamon. When I blinked I ducked from the knives that came toward me. 

   " Hamon Leap! "

I jumped towards Dio and I aimed to take his feet from under him. I placed my hands on the ground and swept my feet towards him. He jumped and avoided the hit, but he sent The World to grab me.

   " Hamon Sapphire Zoom Punch! "

My arm dislocated and it hit The World straight in the face. A sapphire glow emitted from the connection and it blew him backward. I stood up and sent Gold Spirit to heal Polnareff. She was working on his wounds, while I defended both him and Jotaro. Dio stood from the ground and his face started healing from the punch.

   " I don't wish to play games anymore, my dear. "

   " Too bad. I'm ready to play. "

   " How troublesome you are sometimes. "

He disappeared from my vision, but I heard his breathing behind me. I fell to the floor and dodged The World's punch. I kicked my feet upward, but I missed and The World grabbed my feet. As he lifted me, I looked at Gold Spirit. She was still healing Polnareff. The World lifted me and Dio walked towards me, he was smiling as he now stood in front of me.

   " You put up a good fight my love, I can feel your Hamon rage in the air around you. It hurts me even now when I stand here. I apologize for this now, I hope you can forgive me later. "

Dio leaned forward and kissed my lips but I charged Hamon in my lips, knowing he would kiss me. When his lips connected with mine he yelled and jumped backward. I smirked at him.

   " I learned that from an old friend of mine. It's called a Hamon kiss, would you like another? "

   " Later, love. For now you should rest. "

The World raised me further in the air and then he swung me around and flung me to a building. I didn't have time to prepare for impact, and I smashed right into the building. Rubble from the building fell to the ground with me, and my vision was blurry. It was only when I hit the ground I passed out and the world I knew went black.

   " Y/n. " A fuzzy voice shouted.

   " Y/n, wake up! "

   " Y/n! "

   " Y/n! "

I opened my eyes slowly and I looked at the person crouching beside me. My vision was still blurry so I had a hard time seeing him.

   " Good, you're alive. I thought you died when Gold Spirit disappeared. "

   " JoJo? "

   " Yeah? Can you stand? "

   " Y-Yeah. "

With JoJo's help, I stood up. He put his arm around me and I could start seeing everything clearly. Polnareff looked healed, but still unconscious. JoJo was carrying a bucket of what smelled like gasoline, and Dio was laying on the ground. Dio's head was bleeding profusely and I could see him freaking out about not being able to get up and how he can't die.

   " Is it over? "

   " It will be. I smashed his skull in. "

   " Good. "

Jotaro's arm around me secured me to his side as we walked. I started healing myself from the wounds and I looked up at Jotaro who didn't have any.

   " You're not dead. "

   " I'm not going to die from a few knives. It's going to take more than that to kill Jotaro Kujo. "

   " As expected. "

JoJo threw the bucket of gasoline on Dio, and his blood mixed with the gas.

   " I doused you with gasoline so you can't hide. Normally I would hate to kick a guy when he's down but with you I don't give a damn. Tell him, Y/n. "

   " In Jotaro's words, you're done, bitch. "

   " You killed our friends and countless of innocent bystanders. So, don't expect any mercy."

Jotaro flicked his lighter on, but Dio started laughing. I didn't know why he was laughing until I heard it. It was a car, and it was coming closer.

   " The World! "

When I opened my eyes from blinking, Dio wasn't in front of us anymore. He was holding on to the back of a car. The car was speeding away with him dragging behind. Jotaro and I ran up the stairs and looked in the direction he went.

   " While he had his ear to the ground he was also listening for nearby cars. Clever, but that bastards not getting away that easy!"

JoJo took one of the knives that Dio threw at him and used Star Platinum to shoot it towards the wheel. JoJo started flying in the direction Dio went and he opened a sewer drain when we were a few feet from him. Jotaro went in the drain and helped me in, before flying to the one Dio would open. I thought it was funny that JoJo was doing this to Dio.

   " And where do you think you're going? We've got unfinished business. " He said when Dio pulled the lid of the drain off.

Jotaro floated out of the hole, with his arm pressing me against him.

   " It's over, Dio. Time to accept it. "

JoJo landed on the ground, and I looked at the pool of blood underneath Dio.

   " The World, free-"

Star Platinum punched Dio before he could finish calling his stand or throw the knife he had in his pocket at JoJo. Star Platinum punched over and over again before giving him the final blow, and it flung him away from us in a stream of blood.

   " You fell for it Jotaro! Now, my victory is all but assured! Once again, my genius has triumphed over you! Doesn't this street look familiar? "

I looked around the street and Dio was right, we've been on this street before. We made a big circle and came right back to it.

   " This street. . .what have I done. . ." Jotaro said looking at the pile of dust that was forming from where Dio hit the ground.

   " Jospeh. . ."

   " You both failed. " 

The dust around Dio settled and he rose from the ground, taking his fingers out of Joseph's wound.

   " This was my escape route, to your grandfather. And now his blood is mine! "

Dio rose from the ground and his air was spiked up, and the heart headband he wore was gone, along with his jacket. His lips had turned green and his eyes were wild, like the other vampires I had faced before.

   " Dio, you're dead! "
