I opened my eyes and saw that we were still in the car. Polnareff was still driving and everyone was silent as I woke up. Jotaro took his arm away from me and I just sat in the middle of both him and Kakyoin starring at the road. 

   " The road's getting narrower. " Joseph said.

We were now on a one-way and the car in front of us wasn't moving fast. In fact, he was moving slow and blowing sand and gas into the car. 

   " Quit driving so slow idiot! Out of the way! I'm gonna pass this guy. " Polnareff 

Polnareff maneuvered the jeep around the car, almost hitting the wall. We were now in front of the car. The road was only getting narrower from here. 

   " Polnareff calm down. " Kakyoin said to the Frenchman.

   " This four-wheel drive is great. " Polnareff said like a teen driving for the first time.

   " Hey, that crazy maneuver of yours might have damaged the poor car. " Joseph said stepping in.

   " Yeah, your point? "

   " I'm saying we don't need any more trouble now. I'm wanted because of what happened in Varanasi. I'd like to get across the border in one piece. "

 We continued driving leaving the car behind and going on a road around the mountains. I could hear the tires kicking up the pebbles and flinging them away. I was going to question someone about that car until Polnareff hit the brakes. I almost slid to the front if it wasn't for Jotaro's swift hand grabbing me.

   " Thanks. Why did you stop? " 

   " Look who's standing there! "

We looked and I could see a familiar overall-wearing girl by the sign on the road. Her hat was hiding all of her hair but I knew it was her.

   " Anne. "

   " Good freaking grief. "

   " Hey! Long time no see guys. Got room for one more? "

Joseph looked at all of us and we knew he was going to let her in the car. He looked back at Kakyoin specifically.

   " Kakyoin, switch seats with me. I want to be in the back I can't look at Polnareff's driving anymore. "

Polanreff scoffed at what he said. Joseph got out of the car and switched seats with Kakyoin and calling out to Anne to jump in. She got in the car and sat on my lap. I was still sitting in the middle. Polnareff started driving again and Anne started talking. 

   " I mean come on I'm a girl. Soon I'll be doing girl things like wearing a bra and doing my nails to get the attention of boys. I'd look pathetic wandering around the world at that age. This is the only chance I have to be free and see the world. You know what I mean? "

She looked at me and I instantly knew I was the one she was talking to. 

   " Well, Anne you'll have plenty of chances to see the world when you're older, you just have to work for it. And you don't really have to impress the boys. Just do what you want and wear what you want their opinions shouldn't matter. "

I saw her eyes glance at JoJo for a moment, and I felt a small smile on my face. I was glad to have her back with us, but having her back also meant the return of the red car. I could see them behind us, speeding up. They would have hit our bumper if Polnareff didn't speed up. 

   " Look I feel bad about lying to see my dad in Singapore, but let's just forget about that. "

   " Will do, if you can transfer to someone else's lap for a moment. "

She nodded and hopped on Jotaro's lap. He looked at her with his usual stern expression but it only made her blush deepen. The car behind us was honking his horn, trying to get as close as they could. 

   ' I really don't like this car. '

   " Hey, it's that car we passed. Looks like he's in a hurry." JoJo said looking out of the window. 

   " Let him pass, okay Polnareff? "

   " Yeah. "

Polnareff opened his window and gestured with two fingers for the car to move. As the car was passing my eyes along with Jotaro's were focused on the car. We couldn't see the person driving the car. But when he got in front of us he slowed down, making us slow down. 

   " What the Hell! What's he trying to do? " Polnareff said in a sassy tone. 

I covered my mouth and nose with my hands as more dust started coming into the car. No matter which way Polnareff turned the car wouldn't let him pass. 

   " He's probably angry about your maneuver. These are the consequences. "

   " So, did you gate a look at the driver's face? " Jotaro asked leaning forward.

   " No. The windows were covered in thick dust. Couldn't see a thing. "

   " Neither could I. It couldn't be..." Jotaro questioned looking puzzled

   " Be very careful Polnareff. " Joseph said.

   " Guys I don't like this. I don't think he's angry at us. It couldn't be that either he's a stand user or we're in trouble when both cars stop running. " I spoke up.

A hand came out of the driver's window and he held two fingers out telling us to pass him. I didn't like the feeling of being in such an enclosed space. I didn't want to have to fight in a car, or with Anne so close. 

   " Now, he wants me to pass. Looks like the fools realized how shitty that piece of junk is. You should have stayed behind me in the first place you dumbass. Coming through. "

Polnareff pulled the car to the side to pass but when we were beside the car an 18-wheeler-truck was heading straight towards us. I grabbed Anne and held her to me as the front of the cars made a collision. 

   " It's no use Star Platinum! "

Star hit the front of the car, in order for it to fly in the air and complete one spin, and land back on its tires. The hood of the car was bent and steam was coming out of it, but it didn't look like there was any damage to the engine, the jeep was still running.

   " That was close! If it weren't for Star Platinum's power, we would have been crushed underneath that like a tin can. " Pol said looking a the truck.

   " That blasted car's gone! Where did it go? " Joseph asked looking around.

   " Looks like it just kept going. I think the driver could have been one of the stand users. Then again it could have just been some sick bastard. "

   " But if he was a stand user why didn't he simply attack us with his stand when he had the chance? " Kakyoin asked, testing Jotaro's theory.

   " Because he thought the truck would do all of the work and he wouldn't have to do anything. It's cleaner that way if he doesn't get his hands dirty and we perish by some other means. " I said, with my brows furrowing together. 

   " For now, we'll keep heading towards the border. If someone does come after us they can eat our dust. " Joseph said holding Kakyoin's seat.

   " Damn straight. "

   " What should we do about that truck? " Kakyoin asked pointing towards it. 

   " That's easy, we pretend we never saw it. Let's get going. "

I could feel Anne practically swooning in my arms from the delinquent's words. It didn't make me feel better about the situation. I kept a lookout making sure to spot the car if it was coming. We continued driving and I kept my guard up looking for the car. Anne was still in my lap talking about girl things. I guessed she was trying to get Jotaro's attention but it didn't seem to work so well, seeing as his eyes were focused on the road. 

   " So, Y/n. Have you ever kissed a boy? 

   " I have. "

   " How many? "

   " U-Umm. I'm not sure. "

   " Oh, so you've kissed more than one? " Pol asked from the front seat.

   " Yes, Pol. But the number is probably greater than yours. "

   " What!? I'll have you know that any woman would want to kiss these lips. These lips speak the language of love. "

   " Love for the trashcan. "

   " How many exactly have you kissed? " Anne questioned me.

   " U-Umm. Maybe, four or three. "

   " Wow! That's a lot! "

   " Eh, don't feel proud about it. "

   " And don't forget Jotaro's kiss, when he was performing CPR. " Pol teased. 

I felt my face redden and I just shook my head and told him to keep driving. We continued on our path to Pakistan but decided to stop by a tea shop that was on the way. It was a small building but it looked nice. We got out of the car and walked inside. Everyone was quiet as we walked in. I took a look around at all of the people before hearing Joseph gasp and look behind me. When I did I saw the car. It was sitting with its tail in front of the tree and pointing towards the path. It didn't look like the car was on, and it was just sitting there. We walked to the car and didn't see anyone inside. The poor soul left his window down and he was nowhere to be seen in the car. We got back to the little cafe and Joseph called everyone's attention.

   " Hey, tell me something! Who's the owner of that car parked over there? Come on spill it! "

   " Ah, I'm not sure sir. To be honest, sir, I didn't notice it there. " THe owner said. 

   " This only leaves us with one option, right Jotaro? " Joseph asked his grandson.

I looked at them confused. I could see a glare on Jotaro's face as he was looking at the men sitting at their table drinking. I instantly knew what they were going to do.

   " Yeah, poor innocent bastards. We'll just beat them all down. "

Jotaro, Joseph, and Polnareff grabbed the three and took them outside. Back in Japan, I had only heard about Jotaro's fights, but now getting to see it, was a different experience. All the rumors and gossip about it were true. He was the best damn fighter. But doing this was wrong as a whole. I could hear a car engine turn on and I realized it was the red car.

   " Guys! They are not the stand user! Look! "

I pointed toward the car speeding off and they let the three innocent people go. We all ran to the car and jumped in speeding after the red old junk car. It was fast, but we were right behind it. We were traveling uphill now, going higher and higher.

   " I'll nail him when we get around this curve! "

When he turned there was no more land to drive on. Just an old bridge and a cliff that we were heading towards. Polnareff tried to stop the car but that only allowed the car to spin in circles before stopping right beside the edge. The car wasn't anywhere to be seen. Then the car appeared behind us and started ramming the back. Polnareff pressed on the gas and put the Jeep in reverse, but we were still moving forward. 

   " What kind of horsepower is that piece of junk running with? Damn it! It's like fighting a tank! It's no use! Everyone, get out it's our only chance! "

He started unbuckling his seat, belt and let go of the gas. Gold Spirit emerged and went down to the gas peddle and pressed on it, hoping that those few seconds of lost gas wouldn't push us further down the cliff. She pushed on the peddle, but it was too late. The car was already falling forward. I held onto Anne as she held on to me.

   " Hierophant Green! " 

Hierophant appeared and went out of the window and started headings towards the car. He looked to be holding something in his hand.

   " Stop! Hierophant isn't nearly strong enough to support this kind of weight! You'll be torn to shreds! " Joseph shouted.

   " Mr. Joestar with all due respect I am aware of my own abilities. I am not a fool. "

Hierophant used the car's wire winch instead of strength and attached the hook to the red car. Keeping us suspended in the air. 

   " Heh, not bad, Kakyoin. I got a question for you. Ya like sumo? "

Star Platinum appeared and grabbed the wire. Jotaro was now holding on to Kakyoin's seat as he looked upwards at his stand.

   " Especially deadlocks at the edge of the ring? "

I could hear Star Platinum's 'Ora' and then we were being pulled upwards.

   " It's exciting, isn't it? "

Star hit the old car and it fell down now while we were placed back on solid ground. I felt my adrenaline lower at the Jeep now being back on the rock. The red car went off the side of the cliff, leaving our eyesight. 

   " Yeah, I'm a fan of sumo. But in sumo, it's against the rules to punch your opponent. "

Jotaro siled a little at what Kakyoin said and we all left the car. I sat on my knees on the floor when I touched solid ground.

   " What's wrong with you? We survived. " JoJo asked.

   " I'm just glad to be back on solid ground. "

Star Platinum appeared behind me and lifted me up to stand. I stood on my feet now, and he disappeared. Jotaro walked up to me and put his hand in his pocket and arm around my shoulder.

   " Celebrate later, half-pint. "

We looked over at the explosion on the ground of the cliff. Smoke was rising and it looked like the fire was growing bigger. 

   " How did he get behind us? It was like watching a magician or something. It was so strange. "

   " You can say that again. "

   " Actually little girl, It's not strange at all. "

I looked towards the car. The new voice had come from our car. Specifically the radio.

   " I was able to do that because it's my stand, Joestar! "

Jotaro's arm was tense but nonetheless stayed on my shoulder.

   " That old GIlapi could very well be a stand. You remember the boat stand? This may be a repeat. " Jotaro said.

   " It's called the Wheel of Fortune. My stand will lead you to your maker! "

The ground below us started shaking violently. I thought it was an earthquake but given that we are dealing with a stand user at the same time made that seem like too much bad luck. It was the stand user. 

   " Everyone, get in the car! " Joseph yelled.

   " No, stay back! Don't go anywhere near it! " Jotaro shouted.

Then the ground beneath the car broke and the old car we thought burned came through the ground and destroyed ours. 

   " Impossible! It burrowed up through the ground! Alright, I think it's pretty obvious that the car is actually a stand! "

   " Did you really just say that now Polnareff! " I shouted at him. 

The car started shifting, and the dents were gone and instead was a protective barrier around the car and spikes almost everywhere on the front. The car was heading straight for us. I was getting ready to run back, but I noticed Jotaro didn't move from beside me. His arm was still around my shoulders, but he removed it and smiled.

   " If it's a duel you want I'm happy to oblige. "

   " Are you seriou-"

Before I could finish my sentence we were both shots with something. Jotaro was shot three times, once in both arms and once on his side. I was shot on both my shoulders.

   " Impossible...I couldn't see it. What the hell did he shoot at me and how the hell did he-"

The laughing car interrupted Jotaro, finding a lot of joy in our pain, and with our flood falling from the holes. He shot again towards us and Polnareff came to get us out of the way with Kakyions help. But they were shot with the invisible substance too. 

   " Jotaro, Y/n are you two alright? " Joseph yelled.

   " Don't worry about us old man. I don't know what the hell he's throwing at us but he's got damn good aim. "

   " Everyone run between the boulders! Get away from the car! " I yelled.

I started taking off and running through the rocks. I slipped in between the boulders and everyone else was too. There's no way that car could have shifted through them.

   " Stop running away! " The man inside shouted.

   " Sure! We'll just stop and let you run us over, beefcake! "

We could hear the boulders chipping away and he was forcing himself through them by digging away at the rock. 

   " Just, keep running! " JoJo shouted. 

I focused on my feet and was going as fast as I could while stabilizing my breath ready to use Hamon at any given time. I only stopped and started running back when I heard Anne's scream.

   " No, stop! I can't keep up! "

I started running back to her, and I heard her confession.

   " Yeah! So I ran away from home! I'm a good-for-nothing drifter that nobody loves! I'm gonna die. "

I picked up Anne and then jumped onto the side of the cliff right beside Jotaro. Anne hugged my stomach as she looked at me and Jotaro.

   " Good grief, if you have time to say all that crap you can run away you damn little brat. "

   " I love you so much Y/n! Thank you. "

She then hopped onto Jotaro's stomach and hugged him screaming the same thing. I just shrugged my shoulders when he looked at me and continued climbing. When we were back on top the car also started climbing up the cliff. 

   " Good grief. Looks like the time to fight him's now. The rest of you stay back. He's mine. Once he climbs up the car's underside will be bare. Then we'll see just how strong this thing is. "

Once the underside was shone, Star Platinum came in front of Jotaro ready to punch the car, but I could feel my heart beating faster, something wasn't right here. Then a strong smell started making its way to my nose, it was gasoline. I looked at the hole on my shoulder and sniffed it and it was the same smell. The car shot more gasoline at Jotaro, and it hit him again. The car was now on top of him in the air, like it was in slow motion. The hand reached for something on the side of the car and my eyes widened.

   ' He's going to send sparks Jotaro's way. '

My body reacted before I could tell it to move and I was heading straight for Jotaro. The spark was coming toward's Jotaro and my adrenaline was pounding in my veins. I got to him in time and pushed him away from the spark, but I held on to his jacket. He fell on his back and his eyes widen seeing me getting farther away from him. Unknown to him, or anyone else, I was sweating and wearing a Hamon conducting scarf. I pulled the scarf around me and it became my barrier, it was long enough to cover half my body but the other half I had sent Hamon into my sweat, and it had created a small and thin Hamon barrier. The ripples in the water were beautiful. The spark hit my back and I was instantly caught on fire. The scarf and barrier protected me.

   " Y/n! "

The fire was hot, and I knew that if I didn't act quickly then I would be burned, the shield was thin and not powerful enough, because of the sweat beads. 

( Everyone's P.O.V. )

Everyone watched your body burning. Your form was getting smaller and smaller. They all saw you burning away. You were quick with the barriers that no one saw you do it, they only saw you get caught on fire. Everyone had tears in their eyes, seeing your death wasn't something they were prepared for. Especially Joseph. He was taking it the hardest.

   " No...no. She can't die. After all these years, she can't die here! "

Kakyoin and Polnareff looked away from the burning mound in front of them. Kakyoin's heart was beating in his ears and the tears grew in multitudes. He stared at the ground, without the heart to look at the spot where you once stood, but Jotaro couldn't take his eyes off of it. He was stuck on the ground in his green tank top. His eyes were wide and his heart had felt like it stopped or even shattered. He couldn't believe what had happened in front of his eyes. He only came back to himself when the car started shouting.

   " No! No, no, no, no! Why did she jump in! Lord Dio is going to kill me! Or worse make me immortal and torture me for eternity! I killed his bride! "

Jotaro stood up and his fists were clenched tightly. Star had formed beside himself, and his teeth were gritting against themselves.

   " You sick bastard. "

He slowly started walking towards the car. His eyes focused on the car but also still glancing at where you once stood. The Y/n that lived for years died in a few seconds from saving him. From doing her job as the Joestar Protector.

   " You're dead! " He shouted at the car.

The car shuttered in fear. No one had ever seen Jotaro so mad, not even the people he pummeled in school. His aura was deadly and with Star Platnium hovering to his side, fists clenched, it didn't seem possible to live after Jotaro's punch now. 

   " You think I'll die just from a little flame? Now, that's just offensive. After surviving vampires and the most powerful being in existence, I would have thought you guys have more faith in me. "

They heard your voice and then you came out of the ground, smirking at the car.

   " Y/n! "

   " To explain sir, I've just figured out how strong Gold Spirit is. And she's strong enough to break rock. " 

You pulled yourself out of the hole and now stood in front of everyone. Your smirk still present. 

   " For your information, I grabbed Jotaro's jacket so I could leave something behind to make you think I burned and to hide my escape route. Really what happened was that I covered myself with the scarf JoJo gave me, which is made from the satiporoja beetle and that is the best Hamon conductor. With my sweat and this scarf, I created a thin Hamon barrier, one that would protect me for a short while. So Your fire only burned me a little but it never touched me. Gold Spirit started pummeling the ground and I retreated under there for safety. "

Everyone had smiles on their faces, even Jotaro. He slid his finger across his hat as his eyes met you. Your eyes found his and your smirk became a smile.

   " Sorry to interrupt JoJo. Please continue. "

   " Thanks. "

Star Platinum then threw powerful punches at the car. You walked over to everyone and they all enveloped you in a hug. Joseph held on to you longer, and tighter than the rest letting his tears fall.

   " I'm so glad you're okay. "

   " Joseph calm down. I wouldn't jump in like that unless I had a plan. "

   " I know, how smart you are but I didn't know what you were doing and it scared me to death when I thought you died. I thought...I thought...I lost you forever like Caesar. "

   " I'm not going to die so easily. "

He hugged my head to his chest and I got a good look at the man who flew out of the vehicle. He had a beer gut that poked out while his arms were muscular. His legs were noodles, so he didn't get far until Pol stopped him. Joseph finally let me go, wiping his tears away, and walked up to the others. Jotaro walked over to me. I was ready to apologize for burning his jacket when he grabbed me and hugged me as tightly as Joseph had. 

   " Jotatro I'm fine. I just got burned a little. "

   " I thought you were dead. "

   " Oh, please. I'm not going to die so easily. Have more faith in me, JoJo."

   " Don't do that to me again. "

   " I am your protector for a reason. If you remember I told you that I must protect you even if my life is to end. "

   " You're not going to die. I promise. "

   " You can't promise that. "

   " I just did, bitch. Now let me hug you before anyone else sees. "

   " You really are the strong silent type with a soft heart. "

   " Shut up. "

I felt something warm on the top of my head and realized that he kissed the top of my head.
