Play music when it says.

   " Now, die! Twenty-Meter Emerald Splash! "

Kakyoin set off one of the lines and they started setting off some of the others. All of the emeralds were flying towards Dio, with some of the lines still intact in case he moved.

   " You're a fool, Kakyoin! With my stand, I have the ability to rule the world! What can you do in the face of such overwhelming power!? Behold, The World!"

I watched the emeralds get closer to Dio, and they looked like they were about to hit him, but suddenly a cloud of dust formed around Dio, hiding him from sight. I heard something loud from Kakyoin's side and I looked back to where Kakyoin was supposed to be standing, to only find, that he wasn't there. I heard another sound like someone had hit something and when I looked further back I saw Kakyoin hit the water tower.

   " What!? "

   " Kakyoin! "

He impacted the water tower so hard that his body stayed in the dent he made, and water spilled from the tower. His stomach had a hole through the middle and the blood mixed with the water. Kakyoin wasn't responding and I tried listening for his breathing, but I couldn't hear it. He wasn't moving at all and the hole in his stomach was too large to be healed. I saw something green fly by the corner of my eye and I looked at the ropes that he created. They were gently falling apart and their green sparks were flying in the air as they disappeared.

   " Kakyoin. . ."

You couldn't feel it, but tears streamed down your cheeks and hit the ground. Your heart felt like it was in so much pain, that it would have been considered a heart attack in your mind. You felt your breathing shift and you felt like you couldn't breathe at all. Hierophant Green's web was gentle as it fell as if it was lighter than air. The sparks flew through the sky before disappearing, forever. Your legs felt like jelly, and it hurt to even stand. You fell to the ground, in pain. You couldn't take your eyes off the water tower.

   " Shit! I've had enough of this! Hermit-"

You felt it too. Joseph turned around and Dio was floating in the air behind you two. You didn't have to turn around to know he was there. Your eyes wouldn't leave Kakyoin and your tears wouldn't stop.

   " You're next on the chopping block, Joseph. In order for Jonathan's body to finally become mine completely, I must drink the blood of a Joestar. And I think now is a good time as any to partake. And Y/n, my dear, don't shed tears over that simpleton. He was in the way, so I had to do what I must. He was a threat to me and the love between us. "

   " Dio! " Joseph yelled.

Joseph brought you up from the ground by your arms and his eyes looked into yours. He felt heartbroken by seeing Kakyoin die, but in your eyes, he could see the heartbreak. He felt bad for pulling you and not letting you grieve, but it was for the best. Joseph held you up as he glared at Dio.

   " You're gonna pay for what you've done. Just you wait! I'm taking that body back in the name of Granny Erina! "

You could barely listen to what the two were saying, your heartbeat was in your ears and you felt the adrenaline calm down in your veins as you looked at Kakyoin's body.

   " Erina? Ah, you mean that backwater shrew. Nonsense, I'm going to drink your blood then eliminate you vermin. And then I can take Y/n and live peacefully as I take over the world. She never has to be with the Joestar Clan again, where she will be hurt, and brought into danger. "

   " She was never brought into danger! I always protected her! "

   " Oh, then what brought her here? If you protected her then what led to her appearance here in this time? Obviously, as a protector, you failed and you can't keep her out of danger, can you? "

   " Dio. " You said with a stern voice.

All eyes were on you now. You stood up from Joseph's arms and looked at Dio straight in the eyes. The tears had stopped spilling and you were glaring at Dio. Dio recognized the fire in your eyes, from when you protected people. It was a fire that couldn't be put out.

   " You're right, they can't keep me out of danger because I go with them! I love the Joestars! They have and always will be my family no matter what generation I'm in! And I leave them behind because I protect them and keep them safe from danger! I do it out of my love for them! Not just from the birthmark, but because they are innocent people, loving and caring towards those who can't help themselves! People like you! They housed you and loved you, but you turned your back on them for money! That's what it's always been about! It's always been about money and greed! You say that something is always in the way of us coming together, and you're right, but it's not me! It's you! "

Dio felt stunned by your words, and he felt his heart break a little in his chest.

   " Dio, you are a monster. You've killed innocents, and family. You even killed your own father Dario Brando. Only when you're dead can I rest. "

You fell back on Joseph, not feeling any strength in your feet. Dio, wasn't happy to hear at all what you said, because it sounded right. And in his mind, he looked back on the memories he had and agreed with you in his soul, but the greed consumed his feelings, and he wanted to kill the Joestars. A flash of green flew by the three of you and you could spot emeralds flying by and hitting the clock tower. You looked back at Kakyoin seeing Hierophant Green floating in front of him. He disappeared slowly, and I could hear Kakoyoin's words, from the way his breath left his mouth.

   " That. . .was my final. . .emerald splash. . .make it count. . ."

   " Kakyoin! "

You grabbed Joseph and started running. Joseph called out his Hermit Purple and you two started taking sharp turns.

   " Joseph, keep going. I'm going back to Kakyoin. "

   " But, Y/n! "

   " Joseph, I'm not going to let him die! Now, go! He won't know that we've separated. He'll think I'm around you somewhere thinking of a plan, but I'm going to Kakyoin."

Joseph's eyes connected with yours and he nodded his head.

   " Go bring him back. "

Joseph let me go when we turned another sharp corner, and I fell to the ground. I recovered quickly and hid underneath the awning of a storefront. Joseph left me, and Dio was still chasing him, not even looking down at where I had landed. When Dio was out of my sight I ran from the awning and made my way to the water tower. I climbed the stairs and when aI reached the top, Gold Spirit pulled Kakyoin out. I laid him on the building and Gold Spirit started healing him. I put my hand over his mouth and I could feel a small puff of air. 

   " Come on, Kakyoin. Come on! "

Gold Spirit was healing the hole quickly, and I could feel my energy leaving me slowly. I constantly looked around for Dio, but he wasn't around. I assumed that he was still chasing Joseph. I charged up my Hamon, and put my hands on his chest.

   " Hamon Overdrive! "

I pressed my hands against his chest, and the Hamon went from my hands to his chest. The sparks went all over his body, but when they were gone, Kakyoin still didn't respond. Gold Spirit went behind me to defend me if anyone came. He was completely healed, including his organs, I just need to get his heart beating.

   " Hamon Overdrive! "

I sent my Hamon into him again, and I pressed my hands against his chest. The sparks went around his body, and I leaned against his chest to listen for a heartbeat. I waited a few seconds until I finally heard it. It was small but it was there. You picked your head off of his chest and decided to send one last overdrive to get his heart at a regular pace. He looked as white as a sheet from the blood loss, but that could be taken care of when he was alive.

   " Hamon Overdrive! "

I slammed my hands against his chest one more time, and the Hamon sparked around the both of us this time. Kakyoin's breathing seemed to pick up and his lungs were moving regularly. His heartbeat had returned to a normal pace, and I felt the tears that were once in my eyes come again.

   " You're alive. You're alive. . ."

I put his arm around my shoulder and I walked to the edge of the building. Gold Spirit grabbed his other arm and I climbed down the building. When I hit the ground Gold Spirit let me carry him, and she stood to defend me. 

   " Y/n! " I heard someone whisper.

I looked to the side and saw Polnareff standing qt the corner of the building.

   " Hey! Why are you here? "

   " I came to update you. Jotaro is facing off with Dio as we speak. How's Kakyoin? "

   " He's alive. I brought him back. "

   " That's amazing mon cheri! You two need to get out of here, and get as far away as possible. "

   " What? But I want to-"

   " Y/n, trust us. We've got this. You won't always be here to protect us. We can handle this on our own, if you can, get Kakyoin to a hospital and get some more blood in him. "

   " I can. "

   " Alright. The Speedwagon Foundation has a hospital outside of Cairo that you need to go to. Here, I found these keys. " Polnareff said handing you keys.

   " You mean you stole them. "

   " It's not stealing when you're in a crisis. "

Polnareff ran off to assist Jotaro, and I got to the car the keys unlocked. I placed Kakyoin in the back seat and laid him down. I went to the front seat and put the keys in the ignition. The car started and I drove away from the scene. I witnessed a part of Jotaro's fight with Dio, and I turned away from it and drove down the road to leave Cairo.

   " I wouldn't be much help, they both can stop time. That's why they were flying one second and the next someone's on the ground after I blink. "

I made it out of Cairo and I continued driving until I saw the hospital Polanreff was talking about. I parked the car and jumped out of the car. I pulled Kakyoin out and dragged him into the hospital. The doctors recognized us and they took Kakyoin from me and tended to his blood loss. I sat in a small room with a doctor looking me over and checking if I had any injuries. When they found none, they let me go to Kakyoin's room. I opened the door to his room and walked in. Kakyoin was laying on the bed, unconscious but his skin was back to its regular color. I walked further into the room and I grabbed a chair. I set the chair beside Kakyoin's bed and I sat in it, waiting for him to wake up. I held his hand and listened to his heart monitor. 

Start the music now.

   ' Wake up please. '

I waited for half an hour in the room before the door opened. A doctor stepped in and started talking to me.

   " We have some good news. Dio has been defeated. Jotaro has revived Joseph and they're on their way to the hospital. Polnareff is still unconscious but we predict that he'll wake up soon. "

   " Okay, thank you. "

The doctor left the room, leaving me alone with Kakyoin once more. I felt my hand being squeezed and I looked up at Kakyoin to see him awake.

   " Well, looks like the battles over, huh? "

   " Kakyoin! "

I stood from my chair and leaned over the bed, hugging him. He hugged me back and pulled the rest of my body on the bed.

   " Y/n, you saved me. "

   " Of course, I couldn't leave you like that. I know we had to fight Dio and kill him first, but seeing you stuck in that water tower, it. . .it hurt me. "

   " I'm glad you revived me. I figured I would die this night.  But I guess I was wrong. "

   " Damn right Noriaki Kakyoin. I'm not letting you die, even if it means my life. "

   " I feel the same for you, my sweet. "

Kakyoin turned to his side and hugged me close to him I hugged him back and it felt right, to be in his arms. My heart was calm and the blush on my face was small.

   " Kakyoin you've cared for me ever since I came into this world, and you always made sure I was okay, mentally and physically. You never left my side unless you had to. Your heart is pure, and even though you had no one before you met us, I know that now you won't ever be alone. You've got me always by your side along with Jotaro, Joseph, and Polnareff. You even went as far as looking at the smallest aspects of me and made sure I was safe and happy. You never hurt me, and in fact, you hurt yourself for me. When no one believed you about Death 13 you still kept going. You saved me and everyone else. "

   " Y/n? "

I looked up at Kakyoin, and I showed him a small smile.

   " Witnessing your death was something I wasn't ready for and I figured it out as I was reviving you, Kakyoin. I love you. "

Kakyoin's eyes went wide, and his cheeks turned a little red. But he was smiling.

   " I love you, too Y/n. And I can't stop loving you. "

I leaned upward towards Kakyoin and connected our lips together. The sparks from the kiss erupted and it reminded me of the other time he kissed me. This felt like those times, with the fireworks going off and my lips feeling tingly. I felt Kakyoin kiss me back, and his arm stayed around my waist while his other hand held the side of my face. But it wasn't a single long kiss. Kakyoin would pull back, and then kiss me again, entrancing me. We shared multiple kisses until he kissed me one last time, and it was full of love, and passion. His lips were soft and they tasted like cherries. So, when he pulled away, I missed the warmth of his cherry lips on mine.

   " You taste like cherries cherry boy. "

   " And you taste sweet. It seems our nicknames for each other will last until the end of time. "

   " Don't even mention time. "

Kakyoin and I continued to lay on the bed embracing each other. It was peaceful and calm. It was perfect. When the others arrived they patted Kakyoin's back and congratulated him on getting well so quickly. I never left Kakyoin's side, and he hugged me close to him, so I wouldn't leave either. 

   " Well, Kakyoin, I trust her with you. " Jotaro said shaking hands with Kakyoin.

   " I wouldn't worry. I've got her, and I'm going to take care of her. "

   " Good. "

Jotaro walked back towards the old man and started goofing around. Polnareff was sharing more hand signals, that Kakyoin somehow knew. I stayed close to Kakyoin, and he never made an attempt to let go of me. The sun rose higher in the sky, and everyone was extremely tired. They wasted their energy goofing off in the hospital room and fighting Dio that they passed out on the chairs in the room. I yawned, and snuggled my head into Kakyoin's chest, making him chuckle.

   " Get some rest. You deserve it after all these years of constantly fighting. "

   " I don't want to wake up and be somewhere else. "

   " You won't, my sweet. I'm here with you and you're safe in my arms. You're not going anywhere if I have anything to say about it. Now, rest. You need it. "

I nodded my head and the world started to fade away into darkness as I fell asleep. You slept against Kakyoin and he smiled down at your relaxed form. His legs were tangled with yours and he couldn't believe his eyes. He couldn't believe that you chose him, and you were now in his arms peacefully sleeping, with no threat to harm anyone. It was a dream come true.

   " I love you, Y/n. I always will, and I'm not going to let go of you ever again. " He whispered in your ear before falling asleep beside you.
