Countdown
"Aaaaannntttiii."
Anti heard Dark whisper as he prodded him in the cheek with a finger.
"Uhh, I don't wanna go back!" Anti groaned sleepily, rolling over to see Dark lying next to him, watching him with a small smile of content.
"What time even is it?" Anti sighed.
"Four thirty three in the morning." Dark stated.
"It's too early!" Anti announced wrinkled his nose in disdain.
"I know, but, I figured out where the nearest Starbucks is." Dark coaxed Anti.
"Mmm, coffee sounds awesome." Anti mumbled.
"Get out of bed, otherwise I'll have no choice but to tickle you into submission." Dark warned playfully.
"I dare ya to." Anti challenged him.
"Alright, you asked for it." Dark shrugged before leaning over and attacking his ribs with fast moving fingers.
"Dark no!" Anti wheezed in eternal fits of laughter, tears streaming down his face as he struggled to fend Dark's hands off.
"Do you surrender?" Dark raised a questioning eyebrow, pausing his tickling for a moment so Anti could speak.
"Alright I'm up." Anti gasped for breath, wiping the tears off of his face with the back of his hand.
"Here, I'll even help you up." Dark offered as he scooped Anti out of bed, holding him in his arms bridal style.
"I'm not a princess." Anti pouted.
"No, you're my little prince." Dark smirked as he gently lowered Anti to the ground onto his feet.
"Since you paid for lunch yesterday, the least I can do is get breakfast." Anti decided as he stretched his arms high over his head.
"Whatever you wanna do." Dark yawned.
"Okay." Anti reached out with a finger and poked Dark on the tip of his nose.
"I don't have to stand here for this." Dark protested mockingly as he walked off, making Anti laugh.
"I should probably get dressed." Anti realized as he glanced down at his flamingo shorts.
"Probably a good idea." Dark agreed, searching in the closet for clothes for them to wear.
Dark handed Anti his usual attire of blacks skinny jeans and a black t-shirt before he retrieved a black suit with a red tie for himself.
"We really look like the Dark and Anti that Mark and Jack created." Anti mused.
"We certainly don't act like them though." Dark chimed in.
"Unless you have a secret agenda to kill me and take over the world." Dark interjected in a playful accusatory tone as he whirled around to look at Anti.
"Maayybbee." Anti drew the word out before he disappeared into the bathroom to change.
When he came back out, Dark was dressed and ready to go, holding the keys to the car in his hand a his duffel slung over his shoulder.
Anti scooped up his duffel and grabbed the keys from Dark before they walked out the door, quietly closing it behind them so they didn't wake up their neighbors.
The lobby was empty except for one tired looking receptionist behind the counter as Anti and Dark walked out to their car.
Anti blasted Kansas music on the radio as they drove towards Starbucks to pick up breakfast and coffee.
"What are you getting?" Anti asked once they walked in.
"I'm ordering a chocolate muffin and a chocolate raspberry latte with extra whipped cream and chocolate drizzle on top." Dark stated as he walked to the counter to order since there was no line.
Anti ordered the same thing as Dark before following him to a booth towards the back and sat down to wait for their order.
"So, it's late February now right?" Anti asked as he rested his elbows on the table.
"Right, it's the twenty third." Dark nodded in confirmation.
"And the competition is always towards the end of March..." Anti trailed off in thought.
"It'll be okay, we already have a routine down, we just need to add to it and perfect it." Dark assured Anti.
"That's not what I'm worried about though. It's just...I don't want to hurt Mark or Jack." Anti admitted.
"I don't either, but I also don't want Infelix watching us for the rest of our lives." Dark sighed.
"Order for Anti." The worker behind the counter called out.
Anti got up and grabbed their food and drinks before heading back to the car with Dark in tow.
Anti drove up to the rink, not surprised to see Schenk pacing around impatiently and glancing at his watch every now and then.
"You're both late." Schenk grumbled as Dark and Anti walked up.
"Good morning to you too coach." Anti muttered back as he dumped his duffel down on the grassy center of the rink, pulling out his skates and lacing them up before starting his warm up lap with Dark.
Dark and Anti stayed at the rink for hours on end with only a couple of five minutes break occasionally and a ten minute lunch break where they weren't allowed to leave, meaning that they ended up not getting lunch since they didn't bring anything with them.
"We have to leave." Anti finally blurted once it reached around six in the evening, his clothes soaked with sweat and his body covered in several bruises from falling.
"Need I remind you that the World Figure Ice Skating competition is coming up in less than a month out in Finland? Your friend that paid me instructed that I prepare you both for it." Schenk huffed.
"We know." Dark replied curtly as he slipped his hand into Anti's and walked off to their car.
As soon as they arrived at their room, they both collapsed onto the bed and instantly fell asleep, their arms wrapped around each other.
This is more of a filler chapter, the next one will be more plot driven.
