"Because something is going to happen after the Chuunin Exams." He said simply.

Fuu blinked, "What's going to happen?"

Again, Naruto's lips started to pull up in that wicked, devilish smirk which made a chill run down Fuu's spine. To some people it might have looked like he was trying to do a sexy crooked smile, but the other Jinchuuriki knew better. The way his mouth slowly moved upward, making lines where his mouth and cheek connected, only pointed to one thing. A plan.

"The Jinchuuriki Alliance is going to officially begin."

This Chapter;

The Jinchuuriki Alliance (Naruto Fanfic) Chapter 29 - The Cursed Seal

"Sasuke told me about the Cursed Mark."

Naruto looked upwards and blinked as Kakashi stood, leaned on the side of the doorway.

"Oh," Naruto spoke, not really knowing how to answer. "Yeah, I'm fine though."

"No, you're not." Kakashi sighed and walked towards him.

Naruto was still in the hospital room and was actually waiting for Gaara and Fuu to come back so they could continue talking. He wasn't expecting Kakashi to come by.

"Firstly, that mark is dangerous so I'm going to a seal on it so it doesn't take over your body." Kakashi put his hands up in a jutsu which alerted Kurama inside Naruto's mind.

'No! We cannot handle another seal while trying to get rid of this one!' Kurama shouted, in a hurry.

Naruto winced at the sound and put his hands up, "No!"

"What?" Kakashi asked, confused.

"I don't need it," answered Naruto.

Kakashi growled at the constant disrespect, and finally, letting his anger control him, he grabbed Naruto's arm and roughly pulled him forward. But before he could do anything else, he felt himself flat on the floor. Thinking that it was an enemy ninja, he looked up and was met with the blazing jade eyes of the red-headed Jinchuuriki from Suna. "What are you doing here?!"

"He said he didn't need it." Gaara spoke calmly. "Which means that you won't give it to him."

Kakashi stood up, Gaara was standing in front of Naruto, which was a bit comical because Gaara was the shorter one of the two. Naruto was standing behind Gaara with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm trying to save Naruto." Kakashi reasoned.

"Well, I don't need your 'help'." Naruto rolled his eyes, "Trust me, I'm handling the Cursed Mark fine by myself. It will be gone soon." He reminded his Sensei.

Kakashi exhaled and let his shoulders drop. "Fine." He turned on his heel and walked out of the room in silence.

Gaara turned back to look at Naruto with a raised non-existent eyebrow. Naruto just shrugged.

~*~*~

Naruto treaded slowly while staring straight ahead of him, tilting his head to the side to crack the joint and then he sighed.

After the group of Jinchuuriki's had dispersed and returned back to where they had to be, and Kakashi had 'visited' Naruto, he was quickly discharged a couple of hours later from the hospital and went home.

As he was met with the door of his apartment, he saw a bouquet of flowers and another fruit basket, much like the one that was sitting on his bedside table in the hospital.

He lifted the two objects and pushed open the door with his foot. It was already unlocked, and was only unlocked for him, or more specifically, his chakra signature. Gaara also had his chakra signature added onto the seal, and so had Fuu and Yagura. So they were able to access his home as they wished. If anyone else attempted to, they wouldn't be allowed entrance.

The door shut quietly and he placed the flowers and fruit basket onto the dinner table. He pulled a chair and exhaled and he plopped himself down onto it. Pulling his legs upwards, adjusted his seating position so he was sitting cross-legged on the chair.

Pulling the fruit basket towards him, he opened the little note that was placed meaningfully in between the cherries and apples.

Dear Naruto,

I hope you're feeling alright, I wanted to thank you again for helping me.

Get better soon.

Sakura

Naruto smiled under his breath. 'She's acting like I'm sick, I'm already better.' He chuckled, but the thought was there.

PS; Sasuke wants to say thanks too, but he's too much of an idiot to say it out loud.

Naruto nodded, 'Yeah, sounds about right.' He thought with a laugh.

Naruto dutifully raised the handle of the basket and pushed the note back inside the place it was before. He glanced at the flowers with a puzzled expression. If the fruit was from Sakura, it wasn't likely that the flowers were from Sasuke. Sasuke didn't do that kind of emotional crap.

He reached over the table to the flowers with an audible groan and pulled it towards him. They were sunflowers, and there was a note. He reached for it and unfolded it.

Bee-sama and Gaara-san notified me of everything. I accept.

- Akane

Naruto blinked and grinned. He didn't think Gaara could do his job so promptly, and it was even easier because Akane was part of the Kumo team, and Bee was from Kumo too.

Instantly, Naruto laughed and thought about how ridiculous it was that he thought he was the only Uzumaki left. Of course, that wasn't probably because the Uzumaki's used to be a large clan, but finally meeting another Uzumaki made him think that there were probably many other Uzumaki's left.

Akane had been the first Uzumaki he had ever met, and this gave him some hope.

Naruto blinked as he remember that they theoretically had Zabuza and Haku on their side as well, since Yagura asked for them to help with the war. He grinned as the list of strong and helpful people who were on their side increased.

He shook his head from these thoughts and stood to put the flowers in a vase. When realising that he didn't have a vase (because he didn't have much money and no one had gotten him flowers before, and Akane probably only got flowers because it wasn't conspicuous), he stood in silence by the table.

"Hm." He grunted, not knowing where to put the flowers.

'Just put them in a cup or something, I need to talk to you.'

Naruto heard Kurama's booming voice and shrugged, grabbing a tall glass and pouring some water into it. He then dropped the flowers into the cup and winced when a splash of water hit his wrist.

Sighing, he gently placed the glass of flowers on the table and walked over to his bed.

'What's wrong?' Naruto asked mentally.

'I've been trying to find out what the Cursed Seal Mark does to your body. I've been conducting a few tests in your mindscape and I think you should see this.' Kurama spoke gravely.

Naruto bit his lip, he knew Kurama's tone of voice and knew that it wasn't anything good. 'Give me a second.' He thought, as he sat down cross-legged on his bed, he exhaled and shut his eyes.

Meditating was the easiest way for him to go into his mindscape, so that is what he dutifully did.

Once Naruto felt his body pulsate and everything felt softer and not as... real, he opened his eyes and they instantly widened. Kurama stood in all of his nine-tailed glory, staring with a bit of regret down at Naruto.

"What...?" Naruto spluttered, "What the hell did you do?!" He shouted, thrusting a hand towards the burnt grass and rubble all over his mindscape.

Kurama had the decency to look sheepish, 'Well...'

Naruto shot a piercing glare at Kurama and felt his blood boil. 'You absolute idiot! Look what you did to our mind! It's going to take ages to fix!'

Naruto pointed to the grass and gasped at the ditch-like trench about 20 metres away from him.

'It's not that bad...' Kurama reasoned.

'Not that bad?! I don't know how we're going to heal that stupid ass trench, I'm going to trip over it whenever I come and visit you!' Naruto shouted and waved his hands around in distress.

'Yeah... Sorry about that...' Kurama chuckled.

'And don't get me started on how much mental fertiliser I'm going to have to conjure up to make the grass luscious again!' Naruto ranted. His mindscape was his pride and joy, and it was now ruined.

"I was conducting some tests...' Kurama started.

Kurama knew how much Naruto's mindscape meant to him, because he was one of the few that could actually go into his own mindscape. Usually only Jinchuuriki's and extremely high level ninja were able to go into their mindscapes.

'Conducting some tests?!' Naruto yelled at Kurama. 'Do you know how long it took to change my mindscape to a beautiful field and horizon? It used to be a sewer! A goddamn sewer!'

'And I understand that, kit, I do. But I tried to use some of my own chakra, and it didn't seem to work.' Kurama swiftly changed the subject from the trashed mindscape.

'What do you mean you tried to use your own chakra? You know if we use your chakra that the sky will change into a orange-red colour! SKIES ARE BLUE, NOT RED!' Naruto hissed.

'No, no, I know that I can't use my chakra on healing our mindscape.' Kurama mended his words. 'I meant that I tried to use my chakra to destroy the Cursed Seal, and my chakra wasn't accessible.'

Naruto paused. 'Your chakra wasn't accessible? As in, you can't use it?' At Kurama's nod, Naruto's grin widened and he laughed. 'How interesting! Where is the Cursed Seal?'

Kurama exhaled in relief and chuckled at his predicament. He swiped a tail and motioned to a pillar in the middle of the mindscape. 'It's got a snake wrapped around it.'

Nodding, Naruto walked towards it and studied it from up-close. When he reached his destination, he looked up at the pillar. It was about ten metres tall and a metre wide. It had a snake wrapped around it, it seemed to be sleeping. The snake was a pasty white and its tongue kept hissing and tightened its hold on the pillar.

Naruto grimaced. 'It looks like Orochimaru.' As if by command, the snake awoke and whipped out to attack Naruto. Naruto took a quick step back and raised an eyebrow. 'If you're going to be making yourself at home, you might as well pay some rent.' The snake hissed quietly and retracted to the pillar. 'But you have to leave because I can't use Kurama's chakra with you here.' Naruto told it. He then smirked and leaned forward, 'So please, fuck off.' He said politely with a smile.

'You know you're talking to a snake, right?' Naruto heard Kurama's booming laugh and rolled his eyes.

'If Kurama's chakra can't destroy it, what about mine?' Naruto thought out loud. He lifted one of his hands and spoke; 'Fuuton: Kaze Ya no Jutsu. (Wind Arrow Technique)'

Naruto took in a deep breath and blew out and although it was invisible, there was a faint outline of an arrow being created. He then quickly blew it out and it soared and sliced at the pillar.

The snake wrapped around it swatted at the wind arrow and wasn't hurt at all.

'So my chakra works, but I just need to find a way to destroy the pillar.' He said, hearing Kurama's grunt of acknowledgment.

'Destroy it.' Kurama said simply. 'If it was anyone else, they wouldn't be able to destroy it as they have to go into their mindscape to destroy it. Thankfully, we have an accessible mindscape, so you can destroy it.' He spoke. Naruto nodded.

With a soft exhale, Naruto lifted both of his hands. 'Fuuinjutsu Trap.'

The snake sprung awake at the feeling of its movements being restricted and it whipped its head upwards and suddenly multiple boulders detached itself from the ground and shot its way towards Naruto.

'You're using my own mindscape against me? Bad idea.' Naruto chuckled and lifted a hand, feeling all of the mental power he had and thrusting his hand back at the pillar.

The rocks stopped at their place and went backwards. With a grin, Naruto slapped his hands together, 'Fuuton: Daitoppa! (Great Breakthrough)'.

Naruto then heard multiple cracks and he turned to look back at the pillar. The snake's head warped into different shapes and sizes, until it stopped on a pale and pasty structure. Sharp cheekbones and a long face. The rest of its body also started cracking and the bones extended and elongated.

Naruto stared with a frown and displeasure clearly marked on his face.

'Orochimaru.' He spoke with a bitter tone.

The snake had transformed into a carbon copy of Orochimaru. It didn't reply, but instead held onto the pillar with the bottom half of its body, and it somehow made the top half of its body stretch and attack Naruto.

'You have truly become a snake, congratulations.' Naruto said sarcastically, hearing Kurama's booming laughter. Kurama hadn't stepped into the battle yet because he wasn't able to, he didn't have the use of his chakra currently, so there was no point. Yet.

'Fuuton: Hajinkaru no Jutsu (Wind Element: Great Wind Blast).' Naruto said again, pushing his hands towards the pillar and groaning when Orochimaru raised his head and a sword shot out of his mouth. Naruto grimaced and used a Fuuton jutsu to push the sword away from him, frowning when he was a second too late and the sword cut his arm.

Jumping away and slowly gliding to the ground as he dropped, he glanced at his arm and raised an eyebrow. Watching as Orochimaru retracted back to the pillar, Naruto 'hmm'ed in delight. 'It doesn't attack when I'm far. So how about a long-range jutsu?'

'If we combine our chakra, we can create a Bijudama.' Kurama spoke. 'The snake has been here to long that it's starting to stink up our mindscape.' He spat.

Naruto laughed, 'But I thought you couldn't use your chakra?'

'Not by myself, but if you call it up, I think I can force it out.' Kurama reasoned.

Naruto nodded and shut his eyes, raising a hand upwards, he faced his palm towards Orochimaru and the pillar, feeling a shallow glimmer of dark and bubbling chakra in the pit of his stomach and smirked. 'Found it.' He found Kurama's chakra and pushed it out of himself, feeding it to the Kyuubi.

Kurama opened up his mouth and slowly widened it as a dark purple chakra was gathering itself in his massive jaw. Soon enough, Kurama's jaw looked like it was unhinged with the sheer amount of chakra bubbling inside it. Naruto snapped open his eyes, 'Now.' And on command, Kurama jerked his head forward and his jaw shut as the bijudama shot out and soared towards the pillar.

They simply waited as the bijudama hit the ground with full force and made an explosion occur. A few seconds passed as the smoke cleared the area.

Naruto tilted his head and sighed, 'Well that was anti-climactic.'

'Kit!'

Naruto's eyes snapped open and he clenched his teeth as Orochimaru was practically flying towards him.

Naruto's brain hotwired and his mind was blank. Once Orochimaru had become closer towards him, Naruto pulled his fist up and focused chakra into his hand.

Gritting his teeth, Naruto swung with full force at Orochimaru's face and instantly released all of the chakra in his fist when his hand connected with skin.

Orochimaru got sent back flying and hit the ground with a harsh 'THUMP'. Naruto heard multiple bones cracking and stared in shock at his fist. He didn't know how he did that, he just... focused his chakra?

'He's been destroyed.' Kurama spoke. 'Whatever that was, kit, you killed the snake with it.'

Naruto gawked at the place that the pillar was. The pillar and Orochimaru with it was slowly disappearing into the air, until nothing was there. And all that was left was rubble.

Naruto shut his mouth and stopped doing an impression of a fish. 'Well, now that's over...' He started, mouth wavering a little bit.

'Oh, my chakra works again!' Kurama said happily, chuckling and waving around his tails around, pushing little harmless bijudama's into the air in glee.

'Kurama.' Naruto turned and sighed, looking over at the area.

Naruto motioned to his dreary, grey mindscape which was half in ashes and the other half was wilting, the trench in the ground which was large before had become even wider. The river was darkened and the fishes in it lay dead on the soil. There was barely any surface undamaged, except the corners of the mindscape which still had a few daisies popping from the ground.

'It's takes fucking ages to regrow grass.' Naruto sighed in dismay.

OMAKE:

'Kurama.' Naruto turned and smiled at the said fox.

Kurama stopped and looked over, 'Yeah?'

Naruto blinked and the smile widened. 'That Bijudama...' Naruto started.

Kurama cursed, 'What about it?'

'DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT'S GOING TO TAKE TO REGROW THE GRASS?' Naruto screamed.

'But this time you made most of the damage-'

'You imbecile!'

'Hey now, that's not nice-'

'You great, fat, lazy ass-'

'Don't be rude-'

'THIS IS GOING TO TAKE AGES TO FIX!'

'... True.'
