"Exactly." Gaara spoke, "And blaming yourself isn't going to help Naruto, is it?" At Sasuke's shaking head, he continued. "So how about you make yourself useful and shut the fuck up." He spat.
Sakura's eyes widened and she raised her voice, "Hey! There's no need to be a dick!"
"But I don't really care about you two." Gaara said simply.
"W-What?!" Sakura spoke.
Gaara stared at both of them with a blank expression on his face, his jade green eyes glinting as he spoke.
"You're both weak parasites."

The Jinchuuriki Alliance (Naruto Fanfic) Chapter 28 - Squad
Naruto awoke with a blearing head and misty eyes. He cracked an eye open and groaned when the bright light from the complete and utter white of the room attacked his senses.
"Nice to see you awake."
The blonde haired Jinchuuriki lifted his gaze and was met with jade eyes. He sighed and allowed his head to lightly drop back onto the pillow.
"Good morning, Gaara." Naruto replied to the Shukaku Jinchuuriki, with a monotone voice which was slightly tired.
"It's the afternoon." Gaara stated simply.
He stood up and pressed the button next to Naruto's bed and a nurse came running into the room. The nurse was a dark haired woman with an appalled expression on her face when she saw Naruto lying in the bed.
"You're awake." She said with displeasure. Naruto let out a little laugh of exasperation at the villagers in Konoha while Gaara turned and glared at the woman. Mutely demanding her to do her job. The nurse shut her mouth quickly and nodded curtly. "I'll get the doctor." She muttered and walked out of the room.
"How long have I been out?" Naruto asked his red-headed friend, while straining himself to sit up.
"A couple of days."
Naruto's eyes snapped open and he jerked forward. "A couple of days?"
"... Maybe six or seven."
"Six or seven?!" Naruto shouted in shock. That had been the longest that he had ever been unconscious. Gaara was staring at the wall beside Naruto and nodded silently. Naruto exhaled and ran a hand through his hair, grimacing at the feeling and noting that he had to take a shower. "So, how long have you been here?" He asked.
Gaara promptly stood up and walked towards a basket of fruit which Sakura had bought a couple of days ago. "... Six or seven."
Naruto blinked, "Six or seven hours?"
The Suna Shinobi felt blood rush to his face. "... Days..."
Naruto stared at his friend's back and let a small chuckle escape his lips. "Damn it, Gaara." The said redhead turned with a small blush on his cheeks and a questioning look.
"What?"
Naruto swung his legs around the bed and stood up quickly, stumbling slightly when his legs nearly gave way. When he steadied himself, he walked towards Gaara and stared.
"...What?" Gaara repeated.
Naruto shut his eyes and let his lips curl upwards and he gave a wide grin. He tilted his head and let his right hand fall on top of the other shorter male's red locks. He slowly ruffled Gaara's hair as Gaara's eyes widened in surprise.
"You're a good kid, Gaara." Naruto grinned at his friend.
Gaara jumped out of his shock and lightly smacked Naruto's hand off his hair. "I'm not a kid, we're the same age." He sighed.
"I'm nine months older than you." Naruto reminded.
"Exactly, not even a year older; meaning we're the same age." Gaara shot back.
"Maa maa," The blonde Jinchuuriki shrugged. "Specifics don't matter. I'm 13 and you're 12."
"... That'll change next month." Gaara rolled his eyes.
"Ah! Gaara-kun, I didn't know it was your birthday next month!"
Naruto and Gaara both blinked and looked towards the doorway. A familiar girl with mint-green hair and orange eyes were grinning at them from the entrance.
"Fuu! How many times have I told you not to run in a hospital?" A figure slowly treaded towards the room as well. It was a boy of about age 13. He had neutral black hair and blue eyes.
"Gomen, Yagu-kun." Fuu apologised.
"Yagu...?" Naruto tilted his head.
"...-kun?" Gaara blinked.
Naruto walked towards 'Yagu-kun' and stared at the boy's intense blue eyes. The boy's eyes held a sparkle of amusement and Naruto jumped backwards and laughed.
"Ah, Yagu-kun is short for Yagura." Naruto chuckled.
'Yagu-kun' nodded, "A Mizukage can't be seen strolling around casually, so I decided to go for a different appearance for now."
"Smart." Gaara nodded.
Yagura closed the door and turned to walk towards Naruto and Gaara, with Fuu. "So, what is this I heard about you absorbing the curse seal?"
As if it was a switch, Naruto's neck started hurting suddenly and he slapped a hand onto his shoulder and groaned.
"Oh yeah, almost forgot about that." Naruto rolled his eyes and muttered in displeasure.
Gaara wanted to throttle Naruto for forgetting something as important as that. He sighed and looked over at the clock on the wall and wondered, "Why isn't the doctor here yet?"
Yagura smirked and made eye contact with Gaara. When he entered the room he had ordered a shadow clone to not let anyone apart from a Jinchuuriki to enter the room while they were there. "Yes, that is strange." He spoke, smirking wider at Gaara's knowing and accusing expression.
The door opened suddenly and Utakata walked into the room in confusion. His brown hair was still covering one of his eyes but it seemed like he got a new kimono, not much different than his previous one, but it had white hems instead of orange.
"Why is Yagura, disguised as a kid, guarding the door?" The Jinchuuriki of Saiken asked with a small amused smile on his lips.
"Because a Mizukage can't walk around and talk to Shinobi of different villages." Yagura, still disguised as 'Yagu-kun' answered blankly.
"Hey Utakata-kun!" Fuu grinned.
"Afternoon; Fuu, Naruto, Gaara, Yagura." He greeted with a nod to his fellow Jinchuuriki's. They all greeted him back in their own ways: Naruto grinned and fake-saluted, Fuu beamed, Yagura and Gaara nodded to him.
"Right." Fuu clapped her hands together, "We have a week until the finals of the Chuunin Exams." She noted.
"What will become of the cursed mark?" Yagura asked Naruto.
Naruto rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, "I haven't talked to Kurama yet, so I don't know what has to be done." He replied.
'Naruto and I will talk later, alone.'
The Jinchuuriki's heard Kurama's booming voice in their minds and they all acknowledged it. It was a little unnerving for Naruto because Kurama was talking in such a serious voice and left no room for argument. It was indeed a serious matter, Naruto had absorbed the Cursed Seal mark from Sasuke quickly and without any thought into it. It was dangerous for Naruto to have the mark for any longer than necessary.
Naruto shook his head and thought back to the discussion at hand.
"So," Yagura spoke. He turned to look at Naruto with a confidently expression. "What do we do?"
Naruto stared at Yagura, who was prepared to listen to him whole-heartedly. "You're asking me?" Naruto questioned.
"You're our leader, silly." Fuu giggled at him.
She said it as if it was a casual occurrence for a thirteen year old boy to be in charge of a Mizukage, three rogue ninja, two Kumogakure ninja (one being the Raikage's younger brother), a Takigakure ninja and a Sunagakure ninja.
Naruto just smiled softly and then hardened his expression. He raised his head and let his brain expand and think about what they had to do next.
"Okay, Fuu and I will have to prepare for the Chuunin Exams, which is next week; thankfully it is only Monday, so we have a full week to train." He addressed this sentence to Fuu and then turned to look at everyone.
"My Sensei is already here in Konoha, so he will be overseeing my training. Moka and Miharu will be helping me out, so I'll be fine for the Finals." Fuu smiled and nodded.
"Good. I want the rest of you to lay low and be wary of any Suna ninja other than Gaara and his siblings, they plan on attacking Konoha, alongside Orochimaru. I will need to remove the Cursed Seal from my shoulder before the exam, otherwise I may be unable to make jutsu."
"I will contact Bee, Yugito, Roshi and Han." Yagura spoke, "Utakata will help, as he knows their locations."
Utakata nodded, "That's fine with me."
Naruto looked back at Yagura. "Yagura, would it be possible if you ask that team from your village to have an eye out for Orochimaru too?" Naruto thought back to how skilled Kaoru, Akihiko and Haru were, and thought it may be good to have them on his side.
"It's possible. I'll contact them later."
"And Gaara, could you find Uzumaki Akane?" He thought back to the red-headed girl who turned out to be an Uzumaki, and his family, back in the preliminaries. "She should still be here, because Sena, a guy from her team got to the finals. I want her on our side too." He told Gaara.
Gaara nodded, "Understood."
"If I may ask..." Utakata started with a slightly confused expression. Naruto glanced at him. "Why do you suddenly want people on our side?"
Naruto stared for a couple of seconds until a cocky smirk crossed his face.
"Because something is going to happen after the Chuunin Exams." He said simply.
Fuu blinked, "What's going to happen?"
Again, Naruto's lips started to pull up in that wicked, devilish smirk which made a chill run down Fuu's spine. To some people it might have looked like he was trying to do a sexy crooked smile, but the other Jinchuuriki knew better. The way his mouth slowly moved upward, making lines where his mouth and cheek connected, only pointed to one thing. A plan.
"The Jinchuuriki Alliance is going to officially begin."
