Like, is it just me or is everything so repetitive? It's the same old same! I want a fight or something to just happen already at school!

Of course Naruto didn't think that he would end up in that position. Surrounded by fog, back to back with Sasuke, raising kunai's and letting their eyes dart around the mist to track the hunter.

"Just go!" Kakashi shouted from the water bubble.

"How are you breathing and even talking in that thing Sensei...?" Sakura muttered.

"I don't even know how he's doing that." Sasuke grunted.

Tazuna rolled his eyes and was tempted to just sit down on the bridge. "Just protect me kids."

They all huffed but nodded in agreement.

"Just run!" Kakashi shouted again.

"Shut up Sensei!" All three ninja shouted at him.

Kakashi's mouth was hung open in mock horror, they said shut up, to him?!

"Fuck." Sasuke muttered.

Naruto allowed a small smile to play on his lips even in this dire situation. "Wow, Uchiha Sasuke swears, I wonder how the fangirls will react."

Sasuke rolled his eyes, "Oh shut up idiot."

Naruto's eyes narrowed at the mist, "But we have to focus."

Sasuke nodded, "You wouldn't want to get killed now would you?"

"Neither would you." Naruto smirked.

"I'm too amazing to be dead." Sasuke answered simply.

Naruto scoffed and took out a paper bomb from his hip pouch and wrapped it around the kunai in his hand. He exhaled and aimed far enough for Sasuke and himself to not get hurt but still to make a difference. He threw it with amazing precision and it exploded in mid-air.

The mist immediately vanished as the bomb exploded and was whisked away.

"Now we can see them." Naruto said to Sasuke, who nodded.

They stood in silence, on alert, visibly ready for anyone to attack.

"Hehe... My mist is gone eh? No matter." Zabuza appeared directly behind them and held his own kunai's to Sasuke and Naruto's necks. "I can easily kill you if Yagura isn't around!"

Naruto's eyes widened in shock, 'Shit! I didn't even sense him!'

Suddenly, Naruto felt a blast of chakra being pulsed through his body, it surged through his body like a raging river, it honestly felt strange, exciting and intoxicating at the same time.

Sasuke felt the air getting slightly stuffy, it felt like there were too many people in a single room, not enough room to breathe, not enough oxygen to take in. He turned to the side and noticed orange chakra around Naruto's hands, and just his hands.

"Naruto?!" He yelped with wide eyes.

Zabuza growled, "How can you have this chakra and I didn't even sense it?"

Naruto turned and his eyes burned the colour red. "Sasuke? Remember that formation that we made up two days ago?"

Sasuke smirked, "Yeah."

Naruto's lips curled upwards, "3... 2..."

"1..." Sasuke took out another kunai.

They made eye contact, "Go!"

They both ducked under Zabuza's arms and jumped backwards, a good distance away from the swordsman. They made eye contact again as a cue and chucked a kunai each to Zabuza, he easily dodged both of them. But what Zabuza didn't know was that they were a distraction, he nearly got cut by the kunai in the shadow but took a step back and his shadow clone came and caught it.

"So close." Naruto grumbled, they were trying to get Kakashi out of the water bubble, but so far it wasn't working.

"Yet so far." Sasuke added.

"Try again." Sakura said simply, they stared at her and shook their heads.

Naruto cracked his neck and gave himself a boost off the ground with extra chakra, there was red chakra surrounding his hand and he whipped out multiple kunai at Zabuza.

"Do you really think that a petty attempt like that would work on me?" Zabuza laughed as he caught a kunai that was thrown at him.

"How the hell does he talk without getting muffled with those bandages on...?" Naruto heard Sakura mutter and laughed mentally.

Naruto turned his attention onto Zabuza and grinned, "Pretty much."

Zabuza's eyes widened as he looked at his hand, the kunai he was holding had paper wrapped around it.

"...Crap."

BOOOOOOOMM!!!!!!!!!

Naruto looked satisfied at the explosion that just took place, Zabuza was nowhere to be seen. The explosion had created lots of smoke which was quickly disappearing.

"What was that?" Sasuke tilted his head to the side and asked.

Naruto shrugged, "I don't actually know, I just saw some of the paper's being dropped from the sky by a big white bird, I think there was some blonde dude riding it? I don't know. But apparently from what Kakashi-Sensei told me, the explosion was C1 or something."

(A/N See what I did there? XD)

Sasuke raised his eyebrow and chuckled, 'Typical Naruto, picking up bombs from the ground. Because that's not strange at all...'

Zabuza appeared behind Naruto, holding his sword to the blonde's neck.

"What was that brat?" Zabuza growled.

Naruto smiled up at the person who had a fucking sword to his neck. "A C1 bomb. I should buy some more, shouldn't I? Did you like it?" He mocked Zabuza.

"You do know I have a sword to your neck right?" Zabuza deadpanned.

Naruto just smiled with his eyes closed.

"No you don't Zabuza." A familiar voice spoke.

Zabuza wanted to fall down and cry, "Please don't let it be..."

And, as Zabuza predicted. Yagura was standing in the clearing, holding a young boy's neck in his hands, Naruto by his side, and Utakata next to them.

Kakashi had been released from the water bubble and was now shaking all the water out of his silver hair. 'Fuck you Zabuza and your fucking water...'

Yagura tightened his grip around the boys neck.

Zabuza's eyes widened, "Haku!"

Kakashi cried out, "Who the hell is Haku?!"

Sakura just couldn't be bothered with this anymore.

Sasuke had already relaxed and decided that Zabuza's pride was going to make him fight someone before trying to kill the bridge builder.

And Tazuna? Well... He gave up and just sat on the ground.

'What is with this joke of a fight?' Naruto thought to himself in amusement. 'What is this? A crack fanfic?'

"Yagura, let go of Haku." Zabuza said calmly.

"Z-Z-Z-ab-bu-z-za-sama! Please... don't worry about me! Just leave!" The so-called 'Haku' croaked out from the air, Yagura was holding him by his neck. His mask slowly fell off and clattered onto the ground.

Yagura grinned, "Or what?"

Zabuza didn't say anything, just clenched his fists. He knew that he had no chance against Yagura, the Mizukage. He just looked down and bowed his head in shame.

Yagura laughed, "Oh relax." He dropped Haku, no-so-gently, and glanced at Utakata. Utakata nodded and Yagura continued. "I've let him go. But I have one request, or you will watch Haku being torn to shreds with my hands." Yagura said in a pleasant voice.

'Are you serious?' Sakura thought with a huff.

Zabuza glared at Yagura, "What. Is. It." He paused after every word, not wanting to regret it.

Yagura just stared at him, "Join the Mist again."

Zabuza stared at Yagura in disbelief. "What?"

Yagura shrugged, "We kind of are in the middle of a war right now, so I need some more fighters. Join. I'm not really giving you a choice." He eyed Haku.

Zabuza paused, opened his mouth but was cut off.

"Well well well... Seems like the Demon of the Mist isn't as demonic as he looks... More like a child scared of the dark!" A voice boomed from the bottom of the bridge.

Tazuna audible groaned, "So many uninvited guests on my bridge!" Sakura kicked his shin to make him shut up.

Zabuza glared at the short man, "Gato." He spat out the name. "I really can't be bothered for your shit right now."

Gato paused and then glanced around the bridge, eyes resting on Yagura and Utakata. He sneered and chuckled, glancing at the gangsters around him. "Who's the short kid? A boy and his boyfriend?"

It took a second for Yagura and Utakata to realise that Gato was talking to them.

Naruto cracked a grin and burst out laughing, "H-H-Hahahaha!! B-B-bo-BOYFRIEND! Yagura and Utakata?! HAHAHAHA!!!"

"Is he joking with us?" Utakata asked Yagura with a clenched fist.

Yagura suddenly had a dangerous smirk on his face. "Apparently not."

Zabuza raised an eyebrow. "You do know that you shouldn't have said that right?" He asked Gato.

"Well what can the shorty and his bitch do?" Gato shrugged. "Nothing."

Utakata's eyes grew as wide as saucers. "B-Bitch? Me? Oh fuck no."

Naruto had fallen on the ground laughing and crying already, so he was out of the picture.

Yagura's eye glinted and he pulled out his staff-like, weapon. "What can I do you ask?" He flashed behind Gato easily and swiped at Gato's neck quickly. "Kill you."

Gato laughed, "Kill me?! HA!" Then he froze, his neck started spraying blood and his neck was suddenly in two, his head slipped from his body and fell onto the ground.

Yagura started walking back towards the ninja's. "And that's how you do that."

Utakata rolled his eyes, "Show off."

The gangsters fell into a panic.

"That was our meal ticket!"

"You just killed our money source!"

"You're gonna get it!"

"We'll just raid the village!"

Naruto sighed, "Oh people just never learn."

Sasuke nodded, "You kill someone right in front of them and all they want is money."

An arrow shot straight from behind the ninja's as they glanced back. The whole village had gathered and had make-shift weapons, pots, pans, poles, crossbows. Naruto looked at them with a smile. Standing right at the front, was Inari.

"You're not going anywhere near our village!" Tsunami yelled.

Inari grinned, "Let's get 'em!"

And all hell broke loose. The gangsters ran for their lives and the villagers ran after them, firing crossbows and throwing vegetables at them. Who knew that household objects could be so threatening?

Naruto smiled at the sight. Yagura and Utakata outstretched their hands and Naruto took one hand each, pulling himself up and swinging his arms around their shoulders.

A huge grin was on his face. Utakata was also smiling. And if you looked closely, under that annoyed expression, Yagura had a small tilt of the lips on his face.

"Do you really have to go?" Inari asked Naruto as he held onto the blonde ninja's shirt.

Naruto smiled and patted the boy on his head, slightly ruffling up his hair. "Yeah, sorry kiddo. But I'll be back. I promise."

Inari looked up and smiled with watery eyes, "Promise?"

Naruto nodded and held out his pinky, "I never break my promises."

Inari grinned and wiped his nose, holding out his pinky and wrapping it around Naruto's.

They promised and Naruto backed away. Yagura and Utakata had already left with Zabuza and Haku back to the Mizukage office (probably), and now, Naruto's group were leaving.

Naruto smiled at the villagers and turned around, trying to catch up with the rest of his group.

Tazuna smiled as he looked at the ninjas in the distance. "So, what shall we name the bridge?"

Inari just grinned, "The Great Naruto Bridge!"

Tsunami shook her head in amusement, "Of course..."

They were half way to Konoha, the steady pace of jumping from tree to tree.

"Half way there Team 7!" Kakashi shouted to the three Genin.

They grunted in approval when Naruto froze and landed on a tree branch. Kakashi noticed and stopped.

"Naruto? What is it?" He asked.

Naruto bit the inside of his cheek, "Go without me guys."

Sasuke frowned, "Why?"

Sakura nodded, "Yeah, how come?"

Naruto shook his head, "Just go! I'll catch up."

Kakashi sighed and shrugged in defeat and motioned Sasuke and Sakura to carry on going.

"I'll trust you to find your way back to Konoha." Kakashi said.

Naruto nodded, "Yeah, don't worry."

Kakashi's eyes lingered on him for a second then him, Sasuke and Sakura were on their way.

Naruto sighed and dropped to the ground, and started running in the opposite direction to Konoha. He had sensed a chakra signature which was unfamiliar, yet familiar at the same time.

He finally came close to the area where he sensed the chakra signature. Naruto wandered around the clearing until he found someone standing passively and silently above a grown man with tears and blood dropping down his face.

"P-Please... Don't kill me!" The man, who was a ninja, begged.

The boy raised his hand and Naruto's eyes widened as he watched what was happening.

"Hey! Wait a second!" Naruto yelled out and ran in front of the boy.

The boy's jade green eyes glared, "Who are you?" He demanded to know.

Naruto put down his arms. "My name is Uzumaki-Namikaze Naruto. Who are you?"

The boy's eyes widened. "N-Naruto?"

Naruto nodded slowly, not understanding who this person found so unbelieving about his name (except the –Namikaze part.)

'Naruto, this boy... He is a Biju inside of him.'

Naruto's eyes widened. So that was why he felt a familiar presence.

The boy glared at the man and the man on the ground left, running quickly. Naruto just chuckled and put out his hand.

The boy looked at Naruto's hand, and then reluctantly put out his own to shake it.

"My name is Gaara. Gaara of the Sand."
