"Okay, so where to now?" Naruto walked through the forest warily.

"Hey, Kit! Let's go to Suna." 

'Eh? Oh, you finally woke up, you lazy-ass fox.'

"Damnit Kit, I'm trying to help you!! So get moving!" Kurama growled.

Naruto laughed. "Okay, okay, we're going. So it's Gaara who lives there, right?"

"I believe so. He's the jinchuuriki of my insane brother, Shukaku, the One-Tailed Beast, so he may be a bit unstable. The most noticeable feature would be some black rings around his eyes that indicate insomnia."

'Why would Gaara have insomnia? I mean, that means you can't sleep at night, right? '

"Yes, Kit. But the jinchuuriki of Shukaku cannot sleep, because then Shukaku could slowly take over them by eating at their personality, eventually changing them completely," Kurama explained.

Naruto shuddered. 'How awful. I'm glad you're my beast, because you won't take over me.'

Kurama sweatdropped. "Is that the only reason?"

'Nope!! You're my first friend, too! ' Naruto said as he went on his merry way, happily tree-jumping.

"Is it just me, or am I seeing a song forming in your mind? Kit you like singing?" 

'. . . DON'T JUDGE ME!!! ' Naruto shrieked internally.

"Easy Kit! I won't judge!" Kurama yelled, holding his bunny ears against his head. "You've got a good voice. Lemme hear this song."

'Uh. . .'

"It helps pass the time."

'Fine! '

Naruto paused for a moment, thinking, before opening his mouth and filling the silent forest with his clear, strong voice.

"That was good Kit. And look, we're at Suna."

'Oh wow. Well, let's get to business.'

"Who goes there?" Suna's guards called sharply.

"My name is Naruto Uzumaki. I wish to see the Kazekage."

Naruto had to remind himself to not call himself "Namikaze" or "Uchiha". It would've been too suspicious and a dead give-away.

"Alright," one of them said at last. 

"What are you thinking?!" His partner hissed. 

"He's a kid. What harm can he do?" The guard argued quietly. "Come this way, kid. I'll escort you to the Kazekage."

'Well sh*t,' Naruto rolled his eyes. 'What am I supposed to do now? Knock him out, go find Gaara and persuade him to leave with me? '

"Not a bad idea Kit."

'Wait what?! Are you serious?! I was joking! '

"Do you really think the Kazekage will let you run off with their only jinchuuriki?"

'Good point. No turning back now.'

All this time Naruto had been walking on the deserted path to the Kazekage office. 

Moving quickly, Naruto put up a genjutsu, so any passerby would think they were simply talking. He gave a short, sturdy chop to the neck and as the body crumpled to the ground, quickly took him to a dark alleyway.

After making sure the guard was alright but not going to wake up for some time, Naruto sprinted through the village until he found a short redheaded boy that was all alone. 

Everyone was avoiding him like a plague.

Approaching him tentatively, Naruto noticed that he had the kanji for "Love" on his forehead, teal eyes and black rings around them.

It was Gaara.

Naruto shifted nervously, debating to himself whether or not he should approach him immediately or wait until everyone left. 

Evidently, Kurama had gotten impatient and summoned himself there and plopped himself on his host's blonde head.

"Kurama! What do you think you're doing?! I didn't summon you!" Naruto yelled, effectively drawing Gaara's attention.

(Everyone left already)

"You were taking too long, Kit! So hurry up! Just go and talk to him! He knows you anyway!"

"What the hell do you want me to say? 'Hello I'm from the Hidden Leaf Village and you're Gaara. Come with me and we'll go round up the rest of the jinchuuriki.' ARE YOU KIDDING ME KURAMA?! I AM NOT GOING UP TO HIM AND SAYING THAT!! DAMMIT I SHOULD'VE SENT HIM A LETTER SAYING I WAS COMING FIRST!" Naruto groaned in realization.

Meanwhile, Kurama was laughing his furry butt off.

"Hahahaha! Kit, you are too good! And you're the prodigy of your family! You forgot to say you were coming! Hahahaha!"

Gaara sweatdropped at the two, and felt a smile tugging at his lips. Something that hadn't happened in a long time, if ever.

Naruto's tick mark was growing steadily bigger. "DAMN YOU KURAMA! WHY DIDN'T YOU REMIND ME?!"

"I was too busy sleeping," was the dismissive reply of the Tailed Beast.

"Lazy-ass fox," Naruto muttered in annoyance.

"Oi, Kit. That's not nice. But anyway. . . you've caught the attention of one Sand jinchuuriki."

Naruto froze. 

"WHY THE F*K DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?"
