Lark looked dejectedly at me.

"We've got to at least try once more. We came so far!" she pleaded. I merely grunted.
Every time we try, we lose energy. There's no way can lift this ourselves!
However, the small amount of hope I had left made me agree.

"On the count of three."

"Three..."

"Two..."

"One..."

I place all my weight on the panel, my arms desperately trying to lift the wall. Lark was pressing in with all her might as well. Yet, despite our efforts, the barrier only raised slightly. All too soon, the metal barrier took over and refused to move. Lark gave a cry of frustration. Exhausted, I crumple onto the floor. A tall shadow covered my face. Lark staggered backwards.

"You know, Birchen, trying to lift 200 kilograms of iron with just you two weaklings isn't going to work."

That isn't Lark...

Under the mask of poison, I squinted my eyes. A familiar face was grinning back at me.

"Darwith!" I was surprised. How did he manage to get in here without us noticing?

"Here, let me heal you."

I made no complaints. He pulled out some herbs from his bag, and toss me in the air.

"Sono itami watashi no yūjin o korera no kizu o iyashimasu!"

The herbs glowed, and immediately, energy started flooded back in my veins.

"Gee thanks, Darwith."
I stretched my limbs, and my eyes came back into focus. I looked at the lifeless body that was of Delilah's.
"Do you think you can heal her as well?" I asked. Darwith cocked his head.

"Of course."

With Delilah back into the world, we gathered grimmly around the wall.

"Hey Darwith. Where were you all this time?"

"Please don't ask."

Delilah raised her hands.
"Enibmoc odutitrof artson!"
Suddenly, I felt connected with the others. More strength flow through my body. I looked at Darwith. He nodded.

"Let's do it on a count of three!"

We all nodded.

"Three..."

"Two..."

"One..."

With Darwith's muscle in the front, we were finally victorious. The metal barrier retreated, and gave a small click as it stayed up there. We entered a glowing red room. The red ruby of strength was staring back at us.
