"And so," the old man said, closing the book. "That's how the sun and the moon found eternal friendship."
"But Mr. Raven, sir!" A little girl raised her hand high up in the air, squirming to get his attention.
Looking over the heads of the other first graders, Mr. Raven nodded to her. "Yes?"
"Why did my mommy leave if the sun and the moon already have friends?" She asked innocently, curious.
"Well, dear Louie," he said, reading her name tag. "Sometimes the infinite abyss just swallows people without any clues as to why."
A little boy's hand lifted high in the air.
"Yes?"
"Who're you?" He asked.
"I'm Mr. Raven." The elderly man tapped his name tag.
"Yeah but who is Holt?" The kid asked.
"Holt," the man sighed. "Holt was my son, he was. A bright boy, really. But when Hetalia left it hurt too much. So he's gone."
"The story's real," a girl breathed, awestruck.
Mr. Raven nodded. "Yes."
"My mommy chases stars," Louie blurted randomly.
"Your mommy is Hetalia," the old man replied.
Her eyes widened, and in them an infinite universe opened up for all to see.
