Chapter 6
A few days later...
- Tegan's POV -
Another day at the museum passed and I was at home getting ready to go to the high school. I decided to wear my cowboy boots instead of my hunting boots because I had gone hunting yesterday and they were covered in mud. No point in washing the floors if you're going to track mud behind them.
I was putting my hair in a French braid when my phone buzzed. I finished braiding my hair and then flipped it open. It was a text from Ken. I still felt really guilty about the other day but hadn't been able to get a hold of him.
Hey Teg! Um, I'm sorry about what happened the other night. I shouldn't have brought it up...Are we still set for today?
I waited a minute before replying.
Don't worry about it. Totally my fault :D I over react about EVERYTHING! Haha, LOL XD Yup. See you at the school.
I tried to make it sound as friendly as possible. No point starting another fight. I guess it worked because he sent me another text that was just a smiley face.
I closed my phone, put it in my pocket, grabbed my keys, and walked up to my truck.

- Ken's POV -
I smiled as I read Teg's text. That's more like her, I thought. And I sent a smiley face. It was nice to see her regular, good humor back. I put my Samsung back in my pocket and walked out to my Mercedes. It had been fixed and I got it back yesterday.

A half hour earlier...
Mr. Thompson had been having a difficult time. His students were making a mess and misbehaving in history class. Now, Mr. Thompson was a stern and disciplined man, but today just wasn't his day. He finally decided to take drastic measures. He had twenty students all in all, and only three of them were making trouble.
"Jones, McClain, and Rodney. You three stay here. The rest of you can go." Mr. Thompson announced.
Jones, McClain, and Rodney, were the three trouble makers of the class. Tate Jones was the head of the group and Eva McClain and Sean Rodney, were his cronies.
"You three have been enough trouble for me." Mr. Thompson said after the rest of the students had left.
"I gave you every opportunity to prove yourselves, yet you still act ornery. You three will stay after class and help the volunteers clean the entire building."
There were several sighs, but no remarks.

- Tegan's POV -
I walked into the school, as usual, and my phone buzzed as I walked through the door (Of course). It was a text from Maria.
Hey, could you pick up some milk on your way back?
She asked.
It was amazing how fast we ran out of milk in our house.
Surelio!
I answered.
I closed my phone and put it back in my pocket. Just as I started to walk down the hall, Ken came through the door. I flashed him a smile and said, "Well, hi! I'm guessing you got your car fixed?"
"Yup. As good as new." He answered.
I was glad he was able to ignore the subject on both of our minds.
We started to walk towards the orchestra room, when Mr. T walked out of his office.
"Howdy Mr. T." I said.
"Hello Tegan, Ken." He answered, nodding slightly.
Than I noticed three teenagers, about my age, dressed in leather from head to toe, chewing gum, and rolling their eyes.
Oh dear, I thought.
This looks fun.
"This is Tate Jones, Eva McClain, and Sean Rodney. They will be helping you with the cleaning." Mr. T told us.
"Fabulous." I smiled.
This is gonna be a long day, I thought.
- Hey guys! Here is the next chapter. Hope you like it, and if you do why don't you leave a comment and a vote on your way out :D Thanks - Anna
