Chapter 14

- Ken's Point of View -

I was sitting on the couch, enjoying a nice football game and a cup coffee...When BAM! Someone rings the doorbell. I was hoping to just be able to stay seated and someone else get the door, but unfortunately I had miss judged.

"KEN, COULD YOU GET THAT?" Sue called from upstairs.

I sighed and got up, putting my coffee down and heading to the door.

"You'll never believe what happened today." Teg said, walking strait in.

She only ever walked right in when she was frustrated.

"What? You had to wash extra dishes?" I asked, closing the door and heading back to the couch.

"N- That to - but that's not what I meant. One, our team is loosing. Two, Mama and Daddy, Raph, Joe, and Maria, are all off to this resort thingy majig, for a photography shooting. Something to do with the Pro-Life committee, and I have to work. WHYYYYYYYY?????"

And she face planted into our other couch.

"Well, if it makes you feel any better, you can stay here." I tried cheering her up.

For a minute she didn't do anything, but then she flipped her hair back from her face and looked at me.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. I mean, Sue probably won't mind you staying in her room, and plus, I need someone to watch football with me. Logan's gone for the week."

"You're not kidding me here are you?" She said, moving over to the seat next to me.

"Look, just because we never do sleep overs, doesn't mean it's not possible. We just never got to it."

"True." She said, nodding her head slightly.

"But I'm warning you, I can be a grouch in the mornings."

"Oh I already know that." I said, shooing it away with a hand gesture.

"Now, will you watch the game with me?"

She looked at me for a minute like I was insane, and then I remembered. We were rooting for different teams...And her team was loosing.

"I mean...Will you watch Charlie Chaplin with me?" I quickly changed it.

"That's much better. I'll put it in."

She knew where everything was in our house and she knew how to work everything as well. It helps to be friends all your life.

- Tegan's Point of View -

"So," I said, fluffing up my pillow in Sue's room.

"How's school goin?"

"Eh, so so." Sue replied, laying out a blanket for me.

"How's yours going?"

"So so." I told her.

"Anything exciting happen?"

"Well, our team lost for the first time this season."

"Wait...That means our team won, right?" Sue asked me.

She wasn't super into football so I always had to fill her in.

"Right."

"Hey, what were you doing at Home Depot this afternoon?"

"What? I wasn't at Home Depot." I told her, starting to brush my hair.

"Huh, I could've sworn I saw  you there...Oh well. I was probably just seeing things."

"Yeah. I think I've been doing the same thing." I laughed.

I could laugh all I wanted, but it was still partially true.

I lay down in my bed and said my prayers, eventually falling asleep on the soft cloud of my pillow.

"You did find her, didn't you?" Benagh asked, anger flaring up inside of him.

"Yes sir, but I'm still not sure where she lives." The soldier told him.

"How hard can it be? Hoqui isn't that big."

"Benagh, wouldn't it look strange for a high school student to be seen poking around for a persons address? I think this man has done well enough. It is our job to find her, after all. It only takes patience." Folken said calmly, smoking his cigarette.

"It's only a matter of time now."

- Here you go everyone, the next chapter. Again, I'm sorry for such a long wait on the update. I've been a bit busy. Have you guys figured out what's going on yet? Or are you still just as confused as me? LOL XD JK. I hope you liked it and if you did, votes and comments don't go unnoticed. Thank you :D - Anna
