TW: Magical Abuse & Abuse inplied

     Ursa starts seeming back to normal except she is still quiet. "Is there something you want to talk about Cub?" Narcissa asks one afternoon.

     "No." Ursa answers.

     "Alright. You can always talk to me if you want."

     "I know." Narcissa leaves and Ursa speaks to herself. "Why can't it be night yet. I want to fly." Ursa stands after a few minutes and goes into her closet to get some candy. She hears the door to her room open.

     "Little Bear?" Bellatrix asks. Ursa hurries out of her closet, stashing the candy in her pocket. "What were you doing in there?"

     "What do you want Auntie?"

     "For you to join the Dark Lord."

     "How many times do I have to tell you that I do not want to and that there is nothing you can do to change that?"

     Ursa walks back towards her window seat but freezes as a blue light hits her in the back. "You used to be such a nice girl to me. Your mother should never have sent you away. You were such a good little girl."

     Bellatrix's spell wears off and Ursa continues walking "How would you know? I was two when you left me!"

     Ursa screams as pain shoots through her body. She collapses when it stops to see Bellatrix with her wand pointed at her. "How many times do I have to tell you that you will join him or suffer? Are you going to listen now?"

     "No." Ursa says before Bellatrix attacks her again, causing Ursa to scream again.

     "Ursa?" Narcissa says as she runs down the hall with Lucius behind her, having heard Ursa's screams. "Ursa!" Narcissa runs in and sees Bellatrix. "Bella stop! What the hell are you doing?" Bellatrix stops and Narcissa jogs over to Ursa, who is breathing heavily and trying to keep from crying. "Bellatrix Lestrange get the hell out of this room! I will deal with you later." Bellatrix leaves, passing Lucius who glares at her, and Narcissa kneels next to Ursa. "Are you okay?"

     Ursa pushes Narcissa away and hurries to her nightstand. She grabs her wand before running out of the room and through the house. Lucius jogs after her to make sure she isn't going after Bellatrix. He stops when he sees her go outside, knowing Bellatrix rarely goes outside. Ursa runs into the garden, to the old tree in the center and climbs it. She finds her usual branch and sits, leaning back against the trunk. She puts a sticking jinx on herself, so she doesn't fall, and finally starts crying. Lyra hears Ursa and flies out of the Owlery. She lands on Ursa's lap and nuzzles against her.

     "Why the fuck did you hex Ursa?!" Narcissa yells at Bellatrix in the sitting room.

     "She refuses to join the Dark Lord." Bellatrix answers.

     "We told you we are not pushing her! You do not hurt my children Bellatrix. For any reason."

     "Why do you even care what I do to her? She refused to join the Dark Lord, she's nothing."

     "She used to be your favorite person."

     "Things change."

     "Remember whose house you are in Bellatrix. Do not hurt my children or I will turn you over to the Ministry." Narcissa storms out of the room and Lucius and Bellatrix stand in silence for a minute.

     "I told you not to use force Bellatrix." Lucius says. "I told you to talk to her to convince her not hex her. I want her to do the right thing and join too but hurting her is just going to push her away."

     "Well talking doesn't work with her. It's not like it's the first time I've done that."

     "It's not?" Lucius exclaims angrily. "How many times have you hurt her Bellatrix?"

     "It doesn't matter. Get in my way or tell Cissy and I will kill you. The Dark Lord needs her power."

     "Are you the reason Ursa's gone quiet and gotten sad again?"

     "Probably."

     "Bellatrix!"

     "Shut up." Bellatrix draws her wand and points it at Lucius. "Remember what I said, get in my way or tell Cissy and I will kill you. I don't care how much my sister loves you."

     "You do not hurt our children."

     Bellatrix pushes the tip of her wand into Lucius's neck. "The Dark Lord has told me to use any means necessary to get her to join the Death Eaters. She won't listen to reason, so breaking her is what has to be done."

     Lucius pushes Bellatrix's wand from his neck. "Neither you nor the Dark Lord are going to turn my daughter into a monster like you. Breaking her will do that. I will not let you."

     "Try and stop me. I will kill you."

     Narcissa looks all over for Ursa before giving up and going to Draco. "Do you know where your sister is?" She asks. "She is hiding."

     "If she's not in her room or on the roof she's hiding in a tree in the garden." Draco replies.

     "There are a lot of trees in the garden. Any idea which one?"

     "All she's told me is the center of the largest tree or something like that. I was not paying attention."

     Narcissa sighs. "Thank you." Narcissa goes out into the garden and thinks. "It is going to take forever to find the largest tree. 'Center of the largest tree.' 'Center.' Large. The old tree." Narcissa walks up to the old tree that sits in the middle of the garden courtyard and looks up through the leaves. She spots Lyra and Ursa. "So this is where you hide when I cannot find you in the manor or on the roof."

     "How did you find me?" Ursa asks numbly.

     "Draco."

     "Of course. What do you want?"

     "I wanted to check on you. You ran away before I could."

     "I'm fine. Nothing I have not felt before."

     "What happened? Why did she hurt you?"

     "She's trying to push me to join the Dark Lord. I told her I do not want to. She froze me when I tried walking away. Said you made a mistake sending me away. That I used to be nice to her and 'a good girl.' I asked how she would know I was good before being sent away since she left me when I was two. Then pain. She told me I was going to join or suffer. When I refused again she attacked me again. Then you ran in. I didn't have my wand close enough to defend myself."

     "I'm so sorry Ursa. I promise no one in this family will hurt you again."

     "Do not make promises you cannot keep."

     "What do you mean?" Ursa remains silent. "Ursa has Bellatrix hurt you before?" Ursa doesn't respond. "Ursa has someone in the manor hurt you before that I do not know about."

     "You should go." Ursa says.

     "Ursa answer me."

     "Go away."

     "Not until you answer me." Ursa shoots a jinx at Narcissa's feet. "Ursa!"

     "Go!" Narcissa sighs and turns to walk away. "Do not tell anyone about this place."

     "Do not forget we are having a garden party this evening. If you do not want to participate then you need to come in before then."

     When Ursa goes inside, she finishes a song she's been working on since a few days after Bellatrix's return, including using the extra settings to add other instruments and recording it. She starts playing it and singing. (like that – Bea Miller)

     "What was that?" Bellatrix asks.

     "Ursa." Lucius says. "She likes writing and playing music."

     That evening, Ursa walks out of her room and past Draco's open door. "Ursa!" Draco says as he spots her.

     Ursa backs up. "What?"

     "What are you doing? Father said we should stay in our rooms if we aren't joining the party."

     "I need to relax. I'm going to fly."

     "They'll see you."

     "I can use a tower to get on the roof."

     "They could see you flying. You glow slightly. Have you still not figured out how to transform without falling?"

     "No. That won't develop until the next 'event.' Getting extremely angry."

     "Just be careful."

     "Fawkes says I'm doing very well. I'll be fine." Ursa leaves Draco and goes up into a tower. She gets on the roof and goes to an edge on the front of the manor. She free falls and soars in the direction of the gate. She flies around the northern area of their acres and acres of land. She heads back home and soars over the garden. She would sigh if she could as she sees the party is in the area she normally lands.

     "What was that?" Mr Goyle says.

     "What?" Bellatrix questions.

     "I swear I just saw something glowing fly above us."

     "There's nothing up there." Ursa soars over again, headed towards the front courtyard. "Alright I saw that."

     She would growl if she could as she can't find a place to land safely. "I guess I'll have to see if I can find another place in the garden." Ursa thinks to herself.

     "Cissy! Any idea what's up there?" Bellatrix asks.

     Narcissa looks up in time to see Ursa soar in over again. "No." Narcissa says. "There should not be anything up there. At least nothing glowing like that."

     "Should we try to shoot it down?" Mr Crabbe asks.

     "Yes." Lucius says. Bellatrix is the first to shoot a spell and Ursa easily glides out of the way, despite them being behind her. It gets harder to dodge as they all attack. Ursa squawks as one clips her wing. It is one of Narcissa's spells that hits Ursa's body and knocks her out of the sky. Narcissa's spell stuns Ursa and Ursa falls into the forest below. She crashes through the trees, transforming once she's in the trees. The wind is knocked out of her as she hits the ground. There is a crack sound as her left arm breaks on impact. There are burns on her arms from the spells that clipped her wings. Ursa starts crying after a minute, when the pain actually hits her.

     "I think it landed over here!" Mr Crabbe yells to the others. Ursa tries to reach for her wand in her boot, only to cry out as pain shoots through her ribs.

     "I heard it!" Bellatrix yells. "Over here!"

     Ursa gives up on trying to get her wand and lays on her back. "I'm screwed." She thinks to herself. "I can't get out of here before they see me. They can hear me crying."

     Narcissa hears Ursa's crying and walks towards the sound. "I hear it ove-" Narcissa sees Ursa. "Ursa!" Narcissa runs over to Ursa and kneels next to her. "What happened to you?" Ursa doesn't respond. "Lucius! Over here!" Lucius jogs over towards Narcissa and runs to Ursa when he sees her.

     "What's going on?" Lucius says as he kneels next Narcissa.

     "Wand." Ursa groans.

     "What?" Narcissa asks.

      "My wand. In my boot." Lucius gently gets Ursa's wand from her boot and hands it to her. Ursa points her wand at her broken arm. "Fe-"

     "Cub let me do it." Narcissa says as she draws her wand. "Ferula." Bandages and a splint appears on Ursa's left arm. Lucius goes to the other side of Ursa and helps her sit.

     "Reparifors." Ursa casts as she trails her wand down her broken arm.

     "How do you know such advanced healing magic?" Narcissa asks.

     "You learn healing spells quickly when you are clumsy and forced to wear heels and constantly being attacked by other students." Ursa answers before continuing her healing nonverbally.

     "What do you mean 'attacked by other students'?" Lucius asks. "Are people attacking you at school?"

     "No. Ilvermorny. Malfoy and Black names carried the dark reputation but not the fear. I got jinxed and hexed a lot until I learned to defend myself."

     "What happened? What are you doing this far out at night?"

     "Do not worry about it."

     "Cub you were seriously injured." Narcissa says.

     "We are going to worry." Lucius says.

     Ursa puts her wand back in her boot and carefully stands. "I'm fine." Ursa says.

     "Your arm is broken!" Narcissa argues.

     "Only until I get to the potions storage."

     Ursa walks back towards the manor and Lucius and Narcissa follow. "Why were you out here?" Lucius asks.

     "Just out for a walk."

     "Did you see anything in the sky or fall from the sky?" Narcissa asks.

     "No."

     "I will take her to the potions storage and back to her room." Lucius says.

     "Is that alright with you Cub?" Ursa nods. "Alright." Narcissa kisses Ursa's forehead.

     Neither Lucius or Ursa talk until they are in the manor. "Did Bellatrix do this?" Lucius asks.

     "No." Ursa replies.

     "I... I know that was not the first time she has hurt you."

     "Does that mean you are going to stop her?"

     Lucius sighs sadly. "She's acting on the Dark Lord's orders. She threatened to kill me if I got in her way or told your mother. If she does not kill me the Dark Lord will. I want to protect you. I really do. But..."

     "You have to be here to protect Mother and Draco too."

     "I'm sorry."

     "I understand."

     "She's trying to break you."

     "She can try. I am strong willed."

     "Please do not tell me you were trained to resist torture."

     "A little." Ursa mumbles as they reach the potion storage and Lucius sighs. Ursa finds the Skel-a-grow and downs one.

     "I'm sorry you had to go through that." Lucius says as the start walking back upstairs. "We always wanted to bring you home."

     "Beatrice would have never let you. Mother explained you could not fight the guardianship papers without breaking the ISS."

     "We tried everything, but the Ministry and MACUSA would not let us break it. Not even my Ministry influence could help us. It was not as strong as it is now."

      "I understand. I'm just glad to know you tried."

     "Please tell me when Bellatrix hurts you. I cannot stop her but I can at least help you." They get up to Ursa's room and Lucius hugs her before leaving.

     Draco runs into Ursa's room a few minutes later. "What happened? I heard spells. Did they hurt you?"

     "They shot me down." Ursa says.

     "Ursa!"

     "I'm fine Draco. Took a high fall but I'm fine."

     "Your arm doesn't look okay."

     "I'll be fine in the morning."
