Goosebumps went up and down my spin as I felt the hot breathe against my neck. This man has a fetish of breathing down my neck.
"Now tell me, treasure. What are you doing here?" Marco asks. My back is pressed against his hard chest. I raise my eyebrows.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" I query, not bothering to struggle out of his grasp because I know I will just get tired in doing so and my hangover still isn't gone. "What are you thinking leaving work so early?"
"Treasure, it's four in the afternoon."
My eyes widened in shock. Four in the afternoon? I thought it was nine in the morning! Or something in the morning, but not four in the damn afternoon.
Great most of my day wasted.
"Still, don't you finish work until like 10pm? You still left work early and you have slacked off work for almost the whole week. It isn't very good for you company. Isn't your father giving you full control of the Donati Empire after we get married? You can't just slack off. He give you it because he trusted you." I rant. I know it isn't my place, but he needs to know this if he ever wants to take over successfully.
I feel Marco's body stiffen against mine. I turn my body around, so I am facing him. "What?"
"Nothing." He answered too quickly which was a dead giveaway.
I narrow my eyebrows to him. "You are lying." I state.
"I don't think we should be talking about that at the moment. You avoided my question. Why are you here? Without Dante?" He questions. His firm jaw is clenched.
I can't exactly tell him that Finn threw up on his perfect marble floors and perfect fluffed cushions. He would definitely throw a fit and kick out Finn without even flinching.
"Finn is feeling sick and Dante is taking care of him, while I am buying some medicine." I show Marco the bag of medicine.
Ha. I win this one, Mr. Donati.
"Why couldn't Mrs. Reid do it instead?"
Damn. I didn't think about that. "She was...Doing stuff."
"Like what?"
I gulp nervously. "Cramps." I blurt out. "You know us woman get these things once a month things."
Marco looks uncomfortable as he stares at the floor. "Oh, alright..."
Lying isn't so bad if you know how to do it correctly.
"We should be getting back home."
I froze. What if Mrs. Reid was still cleaning? It doesn't take half an hour to clean piles and piles of sicks. It takes freaking ages!
"What are you doing here?" I ask, suddenly remembering that he is obviously here for a reason and he just completely dodged my question.
"Playing hide and seek." He smirks. I raise my eyebrows.
"Aren't you a bit too old to be playing hide and seek? You're like what? Forty?" I tease. He scowls at me.
"Twenty-eight actually." He corrects. I already knew that, but I just wanted to make of fun of his age. He isn't old at all, but he is older than me so therefore he is old.
I feign shock. "And here I thought you were forty. You look way older, must be all that scowling."
I thoroughly enjoy making fun of him. One of my joys in life.
"How's the game of hide and seek going?" I ask innocently. "Is Camilla doing a good job finding you?"
Marco's scowl was replaced with slightly shocked open mouth. "Who told you?"
I shrug. "No one."
"You're a liar."
I smirk. Glad he feels my pain. "Now you know how I feel. Don't expect me to tell you the truth if you are not."
He is quiet for a few seconds as if he was balancing his options to tell me or not. "How about we get some coffee?"
It was my turn to be silent. What about Finn? He is still feeling sick and I don't want to bother Dante anymore that I have already. But then again. Mrs. Reid may still be cleaning. Didn't Finn get a bit of sick on the sofa?
"Fine."

We end up in a small little coffee shop near the shopping centre. It isn't overly big, in fact, it is quite the opposite. It is quiet small with only a few people, but it has this nice homely feel to it.
Marco and I order a large coffee. I notice when we ordered our coffee's the waitress lady looked a bit shell shocked when we ordered.
I honestly thought she was about to die of shock.
Marco sat in front of me, both of his bands were on the arm rest. "I met Camilla about five-years ago. It was the usual, you met someone, you start dating. Nothing too exciting. But I honestly thought I loved her and she was the one. A year into our relationship, my best friend announced he was getting married. I couldn't attend his wedding, but he sent me pictures. It was than I realised that Camilla lied to me. Camilla was my best friend's wife. I confronted her about it and she said that she knew I was his best friend."
What two-timing bitch! How could she do that?
"So I broke it off with her. A few months later, I saw her again. I don't know what come over me, but I did the stupidest mistake I will regret for the rest of my life. I started an affair with her. The affair was one-year long. She told me constantly how unhappy and unsatisfied with her marriage, I thought I was doing a good thing. One day my best friend told me that she was expecting his child. I grew angry because Camilla said she loved me and only me yet she slept with him. I believed her in lies and realised that what I was doing was so wrong. So I broke off our affair and started to see other woman. She grew angry when I saw other woman. She told that if I didn't get back with her she would tell my best friend that I forced myself upon her. I thought she bluffing. Turns out she wasn't and told him."
He threw his back and laughed. "He beat me up pretty good. But I found that, he was also in a affair and was in love with the woman. "
Behind Camilla's appearance wasn't at all I was expecting. There was more to Marco than meets the eye.
"The baby?" I ask in a soft whisper.
He shook his head. "Not his. The baby was the result of a drunken one night stand."
"Did she keep the child?
Marco smiles softly. Not a grin or a smirk. A proper smile. I haven't seen him smile before. My stomach feels funny, not in a bad way. "From what I have heard the child is looked after by Camilla's cousin, who loves him dearly."
As long as that child had somebody to love and be looked after by, I was relieved. "What happened to your friend after that?"
"He divorced Camilla. He got married and has two children. We still aren't on speaking terms." He smiles. By the looks of it, even though they are no longer friends, Marco seems to be happy for him.
"Have you ever told him the truth?" I question.
Marco nods. "It was also another reason why he divorced her, but despite that he still couldn't forgive me for starting an affair and betraying him."
I sit silently, staring at my coffee which has been untouched by me. "You didn't have to tell me this you know. Yet you did, why?"
Marco leans into his seat, giving me a full on grin. "Because I trust you, Miss Kokinos."
