chapter twenty-three: E
We all watched anxiously as the guards piled off of the ship.
I looked down at my feet. They were dirty and bleeding. I smiled. I don't think it meant anything to the others, but to me it meant that I was part of the group. It was a nice thought at the time. I guess.
I stood up and looked at the ground below the cloud. The guards were already swarming around the campsite and trying to save the queen. There armer made it hard for them to move about.
"You guys ready?" I asked.
"Does it really matter if we are or not?" Sam responded.
"Not really but I wanted to be polite. Here I go." I took a deep breath and before I knew what happened I was falling.
I fell slowly and this time I wasn't worried about the ground below me. I knew that I would survive the fall. I was more worried about the guards.
I landed in a super hero type pose. A shock wave b ursted out of me and knocked some of the guards a It wasn't enough to kill any of them though.
I just threw a bunch of balls of energy. I produced weapons like maces, battle axes, swords, clubs, sides, and basically every weapon you could possibly imagine.
I killed a few people by throwing them into tree's. I broke through their armer and wounded them. I got stabbed a few times myself.
Before I knew it everyone else was fighting too. I found myself hitting some guards helmets off then being forced to duck as Am swung a large stick at them. I had a lot of blood on my clothes witch was terrifying, but it was even more terrifying that not all of it was mine.
I watched in horror and awe as the people who showed me kindness and fixed up my wounds, ripped other people apart without hesitation. It made me wonder what would have happened to me if May didn't stop Sam and I from fighting.
Sam was focusing on killing a man named Jack Pines. He had taught me how to properly cook all kinds of meat and that actually helped me save the lives of the villagers.
His big brother John Pines was about to sink a sword into Sam's back. I stepped in between the two and took the sword for him. It took a sizeable chunk out of my arm. I screamed out in pain and hacked John's head off with an axe.
The battle seemed to be never ending. It was five "extraordinary" people against one hundred trained castle guards. The battle was completely invisible to the world. No one else ever really heard any details to what happened that night, and it didn't end in that forrest.
