"Amy, wake up!," Jenna banged her fists on my door.
I unwillingly peeped from under my covers,"In a minute." No sooner did those words escape from my mouth than I buried my face under my pillow. I smiled sheepishly as the thoughts of last night with Oliver flooded my mind.
"Amy , a minute is over," Jenna yelled.
Frustrated by the lack of freedom to think freely during a morning, I stood up and wobbled on my feet. I showered myself and dressed entirely in black and curled my hair a little at the ends to give myself a vibrant look.
"Good Morning, Jenna," I chimed. Ever since she met Joel , I noticed something change in her. Something that made her better.
"Sweetheart, its almost afternoon," she sighed.
"Oh , my bad," I said as I grabbed an apple from the table and literally shoved it in my mouth.
"You know Am, we really need a girl's hangout," she suggested. I looked at her with my mouth half open. My inner voice said I needed more time with Oliver.
"Uh...sure," I smiled. Jenna was the last person I wanted to disappoint.
"Today evening?," she asked.
But , then the door bell rang before I could answer. I secretly thanked God and hoped it would make her forget our conversation. "Miss Amy?" I heard someone call my name. I stepped out of the kitchen and was greeted by a man in a black tuxedo.
"That would be me,"I said and took forward steps.
I could totally sense suspicion in the way Jenna kept eyeing me when I received a bouquet of lovely white roses.
"Thank you," I closed the door and noticed the note. I tore it and hid it among the flowers before turning to face Jenna.
"What is this all about?," Jenna raised an eyebrow.
"Secret admirer?," I said with a quizzical expression on my face.
I didn't want Jenna to know about Oliver. If she knew I loved someone on an island who I absolutely knew nothing about , she would freak. And then she would tell my parents which would call for nothing but explanations. So I figured it was the best to keep my mouth shut.
"These flowers look gorgeous. Im gonna take them to my room," I headed upstairs as quickly as I could.
I closed my room door behind me and looked at the note which read :
Hey , I'm going to a relative's with my family.
So I won't be able to see you today , love. I'll miss you.
With Love , Oliver.
I felt a pang of loneliness as I read those words but looking at the flowers, I felt a bit comforted. I carefully placed the roses on my bedside table. I thought about what to do that day. With Oliver gone I certainly did not wanna spend time with Jenna. If I did , she would brag about Joel and I woud be immersed in my dreams about Ollie. Maybe I could do someting Oliver related? Maybe try to find more about him while he was away? I began to think hard. And all my thoughts summed up to one conclusion. I could sneak into his house. But that would be wrong. Why would I wanna sneak into my very own boyfriend's house. But I could also make it unnoticed. Yes, I would sneak in and out without geting caught. Even though I knew it was wrong , I convinced myself that I was doing it for my Oliver.

The ostentatious mansion stood in front me. I walked to the side of the building and spotted the doors which led me to the basement. Once I got into the basement I could find my way to his bedroom. With that thought in mind, I began to fiddle with the iron chain around the handle bars on the doors. The chain was strong and it was rusted but I somehow managed to pull it off. The doors creaked open and it was quite dark inside, I descended the stairs carefully making sure I didn't trip. By the way the basement looked, one could tell that it had been unused for a pretty long time. I gathered more courage once my feet touched the solid ground. The windows on either side of the place were shut tight. I walked to the windows on my right side and opened them letting the afternoon sunlight hit my face. The place looked a lot less creepier after that. My eyes constantly wavered about , looking for a door which led me out of the basement and into the main house but instead my eyes landed on something white. A huge shelf covered with a white satin cloth. Oddly ,that was the only thing which looked new. I could feel curiousity beginning to follow my heels. I stepped closer and pulled the sheet down What stood there right in front of me gave me a mild heart attack. Skulls with empty eye sockets stared back at me. I wanted to scream and run but my feet stayed put. Something told me that was all a mistake and that I should go back, But no , I wanted to know more. I tried my best to cover the shelf with the white sheet and headed out of the basement. I stepped into the corridor and the smell of the lit candles gave me a soothing feeling. Portraits of different people hung on the walls. I had no idea where I was going. I climbed down a flight of stairs and enetered into a room which I soon realised was the kitchen. It was huge for a mere kitchen. All the walking from my home had made me hungry and so I opened the refrigerator hoping to find something to drink. And I did find drinks except those were never seen. Big bottles filled with a thick red liquid were waiting to be drunk. Horrified , I shut the door hard and stood there , gasping. Something clanked behind me. I swung around hoping for things to be the way the were. A cat , which looked like a ball of black fur , sneered at me . I swallowed hard and ran for the basement. I totally forgot about Oliver and I just wanted to get the hell out of that freakin' house. I barely noticed the things around me as I hurriedly climbed up the creaky stairs in the basement.

I banged on my door with my fists clenched. To my annoyance , the door slowly opened. I would've thrust myself in but Jenna's face stopped me.
"Is everything okay?," she was horrified.
"Yes, I was just running," I gave a lame excuse and went to my room.
I stepped into the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror and washed my face. The cool water from the tap calmed me down a bit. I stared back at my reflection in the mirror. I looked like one of those girls in a horror movie. I grabbed a towel and wiped my face clean and sat on the armchair. I closed my eyes but the image of the red liquid kept flashing in my mind. I had snuck in hoping to find more about my boyfriend but maybe Oliver was right. Maybe it was better that I didn't know much about him.
