Part 56

"Come on Khushi!" Tara said desperately and she stamped her feet like a child trying to make her hurry.

"Why do you sound like you are so excited or something for this?" Khushi looked at her and then back at the mirror, she loved how this dress was hugging her figure perfectly creating an hourglass shape.

Arnav had sent it for her actually, it was her birthday today and they were going out for dinner, Arnav, Khushi, Tara and Rohan and Tara seemed pretty excited for it.

"I am just hungry..." She rolled her eyes.

"Okay, I am ready, how do I look?" Khushi smiled as she turned around to face Tara who looked at her from top to bottom, she was dressed in a beautiful high low emerald green dress, there was a very thin chain on her neck and some gorgeous asymmetrical earrings to match the necklace, it was minimal but it was gorgeous.

"You look perfect, now put on your heels and we'll get going." Tara smiled at her.

"Okay ma'am." Khushi giggled as she sat down on her bed and grabbed her back strappy heels, she put them on and then stood up and followed Tara who was already heading out. They locked the house and headed downstairs to the parking where Tara had parked her car, they got in and drove off.

"We're hanging out after so long." Khushi said.

"I know, I can't believe it's been seven months since Rohan and I got married, we haven't spent much time together since then." Tara said.

"Yeah, you got married and forgot about me." Khushi pouted.

"Shut up, there's nothing like that. Leave that, tell me how things are between you and Arnav... any progress?" Tara asked.

"It's been pretty smooth actually, everything has been good between us so far."

"That's good news then, maybe now it's your time to get married again." Tara giggled.

"I don't know..."

"You still don't trust him?"

"I do... actually with time I've started trusting him, I've seen how much he's changed, and he feels like the Arnav I always knew, the one that was my childhood friend."

"Then what's the problem?"

"I don't know actually, we just haven't talked about getting married again yet, I guess he just wants to give me time and I haven't really given it a thought. Maybe it's time we start that discussion." Khushi giggled.

"Really? Wow, I can't wait for you two to get married already." Tara said excitedly, Khushi just smiled at her as the thoughts came up in her mind.

Everything between her and Arnav was going great, of course they had had some arguments and disagreements like every couple out there usually has, but they've managed to get through it together.

All this time, Arnav had been nothing but great to her, he treats her right, he respects her, he loves her and he keeps trying everyday to win her trust back.

When she started dating him, she dint know if they would ever reach here, but they had, at this point she wasn't that scared anymore, she could trust him and maybe they both could get married once again.

It was crazy, there was a point in her life when she was so sure she would never forgive him nor trust him again and if it wasn't for Tara's idea of dating, maybe she would have never reached here with him.

When they arrived at the hotel, it was almost empty, there were just few waiters walking around, all the outdoor sitting area was empty which wasn't usually the case, this place was so famous it was always crowded.

"Where are Arnav and Rohan?" Khushi asked as she looked around trying to find them.

"They must be on their way, let's sit." Tara said as she sat down at a random table so Khushi joined her.

"Strange how this place is empty today, it's kinda scary." Khushi giggled.

"Maybe people don't want to eat here anymore." Tara joked.

"Or maybe someone booked it fully, wait... did Arnav book the whole place for my birthday?" Khushi looked at Tara with her eyes wide open.

"Now how am I supposed to know that?" Tara asked and just then they heard Rohan's voice.

"Hello ladies." He smiled as he walked towards them followed by Arnav who was dressed in a black suit with a white shirt and an emerald tie, as soon as Khushi noticed his tie, she blushed. It was cute how he had matched with her and he kept on doing these little cute and romantic things for her.

"Hey babe." He smiled at her as he sat down beside her and then kept on staring at her continuously.

"Hey." Khushi smiled as she looked at Rohan and Tara who were staring at Arnav and just smiling stupidly.

"Stop staring, you're making me blush." Khushi pouted.

"But you look so beautiful, it's hard to take my eyes off you." Arnav smiled at her.

"Aren't you hungry now." Khushi said to Tara trying to make it less awkward.

"I am... let's get something to eat and then you two can continue with your romance." She said, Arnav nodded as he called the waiter who came with the menu and handed it to them, they all decided on whatever they wanted to eat and then ordered their food.

It was after ages that Khushi was celebrating her birthday, and it was actually all Arnav's plan, even inviting Tara and Rohan here was his plan.

It was cute how he was making so much efforts for her, it really showed how much he loved her, and it was these small efforts he kept on putting that was bring her trust back.

Once they were done telling their orders to the waiter, Arnav got back to staring at Khushi once again, like he was making it so obvious it was cute.

"Arnav stop." Khushi giggled.

"What? I am just happy that I have a gorgeous girlfriend and I am just appreciating her beauty." He smirked.

"Aww, he's so cute." Tara said.

"Hey, I can be cute too okay?" Rohan frowned making everyone else laugh.

*****

After they were done with the dinner, Arnav told the waiter to bring the cake which got Khushi excited, of course it was her birthday but she thought that they would just have dinner together and that was it.

"You got a cake for me?" She looked at Arnav cutely.

"Of course, Khushi, it's your birthday, it's not complete without a cake." Arnav smiled and he gestured something to Rohan who nodded and stood up as he started walking away.

"Now where is he going?" Khushi asked.

"To the restroom." Tara replied.

A few minutes later, they saw the waiter heading towards them holding the cake in his hands, Arnav smiled as he turned towards Khushi, held her hand and helped her stand up.

"What are you doing?" Khushi asked in confusion.

"Look." Arnav said as he pointed towards the sky, as soon as he did that, fireworks started. Khushi was all confused and surprised at what was happening until the fireworks formed up into words.

As soon as she ready them she turned to look at Arnav and at that exact moment, the waiter placed the cake on their table, which had a gorgeous ring placed in between and the words on the cake were 'will you marry me?' instead of 'happy birthday'."

"Oh my God!" Khushi said as she covered her face with both her palms, so this was happening? She couldn't believe it.

"Khushi, will you marry me?" Arnav asked as he grabbed the ring from the cake and went down on his knees while Khushi looked at him, her eyes filled with tears.

This was so unexpected and so surprising for her, she literally had no idea whatsoever that Arnav was actually going to propose her today.

"Yes." She nodded happily as she held out her hand and Arnav slid the ring on it and then he stood up and hugged her tightly.

"Oh my God Arnav, this was so beautiful and surprising." She smiled happily as she broke the hug looked at him for a moment and then hugged him again happily once again.

"I was nervous and scared actually, I wasn't sure you would say yes." He said as he broke the hug and cupped her face looking her into the eyes.

"How could I say no when you propose me like this, this is literally my dream proposal." She giggled.

"Yeah, I figured you would like something like this, a big gesture but just with the people that matter around, that's why I booked the entire place, dint want unnecessary people around." He smiled.

"It was perfect, I love you." Khushi said as she hugged him once again.

"I love you too Khushi." Arnav smiled, he couldn't believe that she had actually said yes, it was such a big deal for him. After everything he had done in the past, a part of him was scared that she was going to say no, but she dint.

This meant that they could finally start over and have their happily ever after, the one that they couldn't have when they got married the first time.
