By the time Khushi woke up and headed back to Arnav's room, he was gone, it looked like he woke up early and left, it was good because she wasn't in moods to argue with him or anything again. She took a quick shower and got dressed as she headed downstairs.
"Good morning Khushi." Anjali smiled at her, she was seated having breakfast.
"Good morning." Khushi smiled as she joined her.
"We live in the same house but we have met for like two days, look at our lives." Anjali laughed.
"I know right, I've just been busy with this new job and all." Khushi sighed.
"I know, it's good you started working at least you won't be getting bored at home all day." Anjali said, Khushi just nodded and continued eating.
"So, is everything okay between you and Arnav?"
"What do you think?" Khushi looked at her curiously, she dint even know whether to tell Anjali about Arnav's behavior or not.
"I think nothing is okay. I mean you just got married and I can't see any newlywed kind of thing between you two, I don't even remember seeing you two together holding hands or anything."
"I guess life isn't a fairytale then, anyway I should get going or I'll be late." Khushi smiled awkwardly then stood up and walked away, it was difficult to have this conversation with Anjali, what was she supposed to tell her? That her brother was married to her and he had a girlfriend too? And he treated her like shit. The only time he wanted to be closer to her was when he was lusting for her?
Never in her life had she thought that Arnav was going to be like this, it was difficult at first but now she was starting to learn how to deal with it.

Khushi kept on knocking at the door of Rohan's cabin but he seemed to be lost or something, he was seated facing the opposite side so she couldn't really see his face or anything and because he wasn't responding she decided to get in anyway.
When she walked in, she saw Rohan holding his wallet as he was looking at a passport size picture in it, it was of a girl, a very pretty girl actually.
"Who is she?" Khushi asked, this time finally getting his attention, he quickly turned around and put back the wallet in his pocket.
"No one, when did you come?" He asked.
"I've been knocking at the door for like five minutes and then I decided to barge in because you wouldn't respond because you were busy staring at the photo in your wallet of a girl you claim to be no one but seems very important."
"Okay how about, I don't want to talk about it?"
"Okay sure, but you know, if you need to talk, I'm always here. We weren't really friends in school but we could be now." She suggested.
"Aren't we already friends?"
"Sure." She nodded as she pulled out a chair and settled down.
"So how about we start the journey towards my success which isn't going to be possible without a little help from you." She smiled brightly.
"Sure, be prepared, get a pen and a diary and write everything I say, it's going to be helpful." Rohan said, Khushi nodded as she stood up and headed to her cabin to get a diary, once she was back, they both started discussing the ideas and everything while Khushi wrote everything down.
"You do realize I'll need capital to start a business like this right? And currently I have nothing." Khushi said.
"You do realize you have a friend named Rohan right? Take a loan from me and pay back once you are set." Rohan smiled.
"Okay." Khushi smiled as they continued with their discussion.

It was a tiring day for Khushi, she had done a lot and learnt a lot of thing today, but she was also in moods of cooking something for herself for dinner, so when she arrived home, that's what she decided to do, she freshened up and then headed to the kitchen and started cooking.
Arnav was already home too, he was seated in the hall watching television and the both of them just ignored each other, it was like they weren't married but just two strangers who happened to live in the same house.
"Is Anjali going to eat at home today?" Khushi asked the servant.
"No, she said she was going to stay at her friend's place for a couple of days." He replied, Khushi nodded and continued with her cooking.
Arnav's phone rang while he was busy watching TV, he looked at the screen and saw Lavanya's name flashing on it.
"I'm busy call later." He said as he received the call.
"What are you avoiding me now? I thought we had a plan to get rid of your wife? I was supposed to come your place today because Anjali wasn't going to be around right?" Lavanya said.
"I don't want to talk about it right now, the plan is on hold for now so stay wherever you are." Arnav said as he turned around and looked at Khushi who was engrossed in her cooking. She looked gorgeous even while she was doing something as simple as cooking.
"Are you having second thoughts about her Arnav?"
"What? Nonsense. That's never going to happen, I am not in mood for drama today that's it, now bye, I'll see you at work tomorrow." He disconnected the call and put it aside trying to concentrate on what he was watching but every few minutes he would end up looking towards Khushi.
Their kitchen was basically made with no walls separating the kitchen and hall, neither did it have a door, it was just joint with a partition in between so right now there was no blockage in his view whatsoever.
A few minutes later, Khushi walked out holding two plates in her hand, she walked towards Arnav and stopped in front of him.
"I cooked today, if you don't want to eat anything made by me you can tell the servants to cook something else for you." Khushi said as she held out the plate to him. Arnav took the plate from her without saying anything, it was quite surprising for Khushi as she wasn't expecting him to actually eat, she had just decided to try to offer, of course she wasn't as mean as him, she would never be, that wasn't her personality.
"Can I sit?" she asked.
"It's your house too, you can sit wherever you want." Arnav shrugged.
"No, it's not my house, I think we were clear about that." Khushi sighed as she sat beside him but making sure there was a big space between them.
She started eating and watched whatever Arnav was watching on the TV.
"It's good, you are a good cook." Arnav said after he took a bite.
"I'm glad you appreciated it unlike last time." Khushi said as she continued eating, she remembered the first time she cooked for him and he dint even bother to taste, it broke her heart.
He dint say anything after that, they both just sat beside each other and ate awkwardly, once Khushi was done eating she stood up to head back to the kitchen.
"You need more?" She asked Arnav who was almost finishing his food.
"No thanks, I'm good." Khushi nodded and headed to the kitchen, she washed her plate and then decided to head upstairs to get some rest.
Arnav walked into the kitchen to put his plate just at the same time when she was walking out, they passed by each other as Khushi tried not to look at him, it was just difficult for her, all this was so difficult.
"Khushi." Arnav grabbed her hand out of nowhere, she stopped and turned back to look at him in surprise, his behavior today seemed quite different.
"Umm, thank you for last night." he said as he placed the plate on the kitchen counter, still holding her arm, he moved closer and looked at her, not even looked, he was just staring at her.
"Unlike you I care Arnav, but don't worry not for long." She sighed.
"I appreciate it, you being good to me despite everything I've said and done to you."
"Yeah, I am a human being, I have feelings and emotions and sometimes I'm just pretty much stupid, I care for people I shouldn't." She replied plainly.
Arnav just looked at her blankly, he dint even know why he was suddenly thanking her or feeling bad about her words, all he knew was that he hated her and now suddenly he was thanking her, why?
What was making him have this kind of behavior which he couldn't control?
He wasn't supposed to be nice to Khushi, he hated her, then why was he being nice to her? Why was he second guessing things? Why did he want to believe that she was actually as good and innocent as she seemed like despite knowing that she wasn't?
"I need to sleep Arnav, can you please leave my hand?"
Arnav immediately pulled his hand off as Khushi ran upstairs quickly, he turned towards the wall and punched it hurting himself.
He couldn't understand what was happening to him, a couple of days back he was planning with Lavanya how to get rid of Khushi and now he was being nice to her, why was he suddenly having change of feelings towards her?
Was it because of last night? She just handled him after the nightmare, it was no big deal right? Maybe he just felt bad because despite all what she might be, at the end of the day she was still a human being right.
"Jeez Arnav, calm the hell down." He said to himself as he took a few deep breaths, he dint want to feel this way, he dint want to feel anything actually.
