At an abandoned canyon location, specifically a type of canyon that looks dead, void of life, and all that remains are the many holes and broken alien equipment located in the area, a certain familiar giant black ball could be seen rolling up at the place, literally, and once it found a suitable spot to stop, it opened a hatch of some kind and released a certain familiar green gem, who looked beyond dizzy.

"I-I need to get used to this rolling transportation method ..."

Peridot complained for a while before she shook her head and started to get down off the Omnidroid V10, making him close the hatch and replace the hole with a familiar small dented head with a blue optic, which he used to look down at his small master and wait for further instructions, which she noticed and decided to take this chance to explain something to him.

"As you can see, Omnidroid V10, we are at a location known as the Kindergarten, a certain area that was used to create gem soldiers, though as you can see, this place is very abandoned."

The first thing that Peridot explained was where they were and why they were there, which turned out to be a Kindergarten, something that the Omnidroid paid close attention to.

"There is something I must do here that requires my attention, if we're lucky, it should be quick and simple, with no interruption."

Peridot sighs, even if she would hope for something quick and simple, she knew better and had doubts about that being the case.

"However, I cannot deny the possibility of someone trying to stop me from doing my work, which is where you come in."

The Omnidroid couldn't help but perk up when Peridot mentioned him, no doubt eager to be useful to her.

"Omnidroid V10: New Directive- Eliminate Any To All Threats That Will Harm Us!"

As soon as Peridot gave the order, Omnidroid wasted no time accepting and then doing as he was told. He retreated his head into his body and began to roll away, leaving behind his master so that he could complete his objective. This made the gem wear a relieved and relaxed expression.

'Even if those Crystal Clods did show up, I can at least take satisfaction that I will be well protected.'

Once Peridot felt more confident and had greater safety, she was able to get to work. She tapped her foot on the ground as it then suddenly turned into a green platform, which also functioned as some kind of elevator, as it began to lower itself down deep into the underground.

'They've been nothing but trouble, not only ruining my projects and experiments, but also being the one responsible for stranding me here in this worthless mud ball!...'

Peridot couldn't help but always feel upset and angry at the mere mention of the people who caused her so much trouble, clenching her teeth as she tried to control her rage.

'I do hope that Omnidroid V10 will find those clods, it will bring me great pleasure to see them suffer the same way they did me.'

Peridot lets out a slightly evil chuckle as she thinks about how the Omnidroid would deal with the enemy if they ever met; it makes her all kinds of giddy.

'Hehe... I'm so glad to have made such an ally...'

Peridot felt beyond grateful to have found such a wonderful guardian, and she will forever cherish what she has rather than regretting what she lost.

'Actually, I hope the Omnidroid V10 can handle those rogue Gems...'

Although, gratefulness suddenly turned into worry, as Peridot started to think about how the Omnidroid could possibly be harmed, or even destroyed by the Gems, such a thought made her shiver.

'I-I shall worry about that later, for now I should get back to work...'

However, these thoughts were put at the back of Peridot's mind, as once she got to the bottom of the underground lab, she was able to get to work and accomplish what she needed to do.

"Logging-652: This is Peridot, updating status, still stuck on his miserable planet..."

After a while, Peridot completed everything she needed to do in the underground. She then returned to the surface, recording an audio log.

"The fusion experiments are developing properly, a few heavy ones emerge early- AHHH!"

But before Peridot could finish her recording, she was immediately startled when she saw a certain young boy in a pink star shirt standing before her. A moment of silence fell between the two as they just stared at each other for quite a while.

"Are the other ones with you?..."

Peridot broke the silence by asking a specific question to the boy, who was known as Steven Universe, who at first shook his head no, but soon nodded yes.

"Of course, why not..."

Peridot couldn't help but groan and wore a very defeated and exhausted expression.

"PERIDOT!"

Though exhaustion soon turned into fear as the Green Gem noticed three other Gems coming after her, one of the bigger ones, Garnet, even yelled out her name in anger, which made her yelp as she wasted no time running away.

"Nowhere To Go!"

"Yeah, you're cornered-"

The other two Gems, known as Pearl and Amethyst, followed the Red Gem while also giving chase to Facet-2F5L, who was heading towards a dead end. Crystal Gems thought they had her, but then she suddenly started walking up and on the wall, as if defying gravity.

"Hey! I can't do that..."

Steven, as well as the others, couldn't help but be surprised at what Cut-5XG was able to do, who was beginning to get away from them.

"Neither Can She!"

Pearl growls as she tightly grabs her spear, before aiming it and then throwing it at the Green Gem.

'Why Is That Stupid Sphere Not Here When I Need Him?!'

Peridot couldn't help but feel very frustrated and confused as to why the Omnidroid V10 wasn't here to protect her, though before she could think more about that, she saw a spear pass over her head and missed her completely.

"Hah! Missed!"

Peridot mocked the White Gem who threw the weapon, but her smugness was short-lived when the spear hit an old machine and sent it falling on her, sending her down and crashing into the ground, with dust and dirt everywhere.

"Do you think she's hurt?!"

Steven, who was protected from the falling machine, couldn't help but worry about Facet-2F5L, even though his worries were unnecessary because she was completely fine, despite being crushed.

"Haha! Nope!"

Amethyst wore an eager smile, gripping her whip and sending it towards Cut-5XG, who tried to escape, but was immediately caught and tied up by the Purple Gem weapon.

"Now then, you're gonna tell us everything that you know."

Though as the Green Gem was trying to struggle out of her binds, Garnet suddenly grabbed her and brought her close to her face.

"Unless you wanna get poofed and bubbled..."

Garnet, as well as everyone else, except Universe, was very ready and willing to make Facet-2F5L "TALK", which did make her worry at first, though such concerns were instantly dashed when she, as well as everyone else, heard the sound of something rolling.

"I think you should be more concerned about your own safety instead of mine~"

It was now Peridot's turn to wear a smug expression, which made the Red Gem gasp as she then let go of her and jumped back, nearly avoiding being crushed by Omnidroid V10, which startled everyone, who gripped their weapons and got ready to defend themselves, though started to feel a bit doubtful they could do anything about him.

"O-Oh Yeah?! As if we're scared of a giant ball!"

Amethyst tried to act confident and not afraid, but that didn't last long when the Omnidroid V10 unleashed all six of its legs and claws, and it stood up tall, overshadowing all of the Crystal Gems that stood before it.

"... Huh..."
