The Invincible Hero

Episode 2 : I ate an entire pack of Fun-Dip while writing this, like the wrapper and everything, I think I'm dying?

Upon.. The smallest bit of investigation he realized he was NOT in the same Universe, for example, he had been asked to show his 'hero license' after saving that angry blonde kid and the nice green one.. Needless to say, he just flew away when they tried to arrest him for 'iLlEgAl ViGiLaNtIsM' whatever the hell that is. He sighed as he flew. He was floating next to a moving plane and waving at a kid who noticed him and started pointing him out to his parent's excitedly. Mark let himself zoom towards the water below. Pulling up at the last second, the radical change making some of the water part from the shockwave. Mark's arm grazed the water as he flew just slightly above it before flying upwards. Letting a huge wave go. Yup, that's as cool as he expected it to be! But doing some more 'research' which was just asking someone about how to become a legal hero. Luckily for him he got directions- Well actually not lucky considering they told him to go to a place called... Mustafu? Which he assumed meant he wasn't in America, he realized he had a Dorothy in Oz moment. not only was he in a different universe, it was also a different.. country? Planet? Is he even on Earth?

Timeskip

Mark had decided to let himself be arrested. Crazy right? But he figured if he could explain his situation he could get some help finding a way out. He would need to get back quick, especially considering he had plans with Amber!

"Hi there, your the one everyone's been calling

Right?"(???)

"Yeah!"(Invincible)

"Right, well I'm Detective Tsukauchi! I'm here to question you, keep in mind my quirk will let me know if your lying."(Tsukauchi)

"Alright! Ask away!"(Invincible)

"First off, do you have a name?"(Tsukauchi)

"...Usually not something I give out, but my name is Mark Grayson."(Invincible)

"..Are you from America?"(Tsukauchi)

"Yup! Chicago Illionois."(Mark)

"Right, do you have any parents?"(Tsukauchi)

"Uh- Kind of? My mom is there but uh- My dad sort of flew off planet-"(Mark)

"He's an Astronaut?"(Tsukauchi)

"...Somewhat?"(Mark)

"Right, well, can we contact them?"(Tsukauchi)

"Nope!"(Mark)

"Why is that?"(Tsukauchi)

"They're in another Universe."(Mark)

The detective stopped in his tracks. Pulling out some kind of communicator

"Can we get a psych eval on this kid?"(Tsukauchi)

"I'm not lying if that's what you thi-"(Mark)

"No, I'm worried by the fact you aren't lying.. So your either insane, or right."(Tsukauchi)

"I could explain how I got here if that helps?"(Mark)

"Go for it."(Tsukauchi)

"So I had just lost a massive fight and got out of the hospital after.. A week? I don't actually know how long- But after I got out I was on patrol and me and my friend Eve stopped a mugger, then this weird dude came out of nowhere and started yelling about how I ruined his life, I got sucked through a portal and boom fell out of the sky and straight into a beach covered in garbage- I saw that sludge guy trying to kill the blonde kid and rushed in to try and save him."(Mark)

"...I'm going to ask you a few more questions, be sure to answer honestly"(Tsukauchi)

"Of course!"(Mark)

"Back in.. your universe, were you a hero?"(Tsukauchi)

"Yes."(Mark)

"Then why don't you have a liscence?"(Tsukauchi)

"We didn't need them back home- I don't think we did at least? If we did then my dad never told me-"(Mark)

"Your father was a hero too?"(Tsukauchi)

Mark paused.. That's a loaded question

"...Yes."(Mark)

"That's a lie."(Tsukauchi)

"It's.. Complicated."(Mark)

"How so?"(Tsukauchi)

"He saved a lot of people.. But uh- He.. He.."(Mark)

Flashback Sequence~

"So be it."(Omni-Man)

In the blink of an eye Mark was in the ground, a giant Kaiju behind him. His father landed in front of him and Mark shot like a bullet aiming for his face. But if Mark was a bullet, Omni-Man was Kevlar. He caught Mark's arm and squeezed, forcing him down, all while making eye contact he grabbed Mark by the throat, threw him up before grabbing him by the leg and swinging him into the ground before throwing him, Mark screaming as he was launched, landing somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the sky. Omni-Man showed up again and grabbed Mark

"Don't do this! It's not too late!"(Mark)

He pleaded, begging his father to stop the brutal attacking, he was punched over and over, being launched through the air before getting held by the throat

"It's good to pity them Mark. But wrong to value them over your own kind."(Omni-Man)

The next thing he knew he was in a crater and one of the pilot's parachutes was malfunctioning.. He saved them.. only for his father to crush their head in front of him.

"I-Is Mom's life worthless!?"(Mark)

"..In the grand scheme of things.. Yes."(Omni-Man)

"How.. How could you say those things?! About mom!?"(Mark)

He felt something building in his chest, like what he had experienced when he was trying to help Titan fight against Machine-Head.. 

"LIAR!"(Mark)

He yelled as he punched his father in the face, over and over. Going for another hit but his arm was caught

"For the first time in your life! I'm telling you the truth!"(Omni-Man)

He said as he headbutt Mark through the floor, into a subway, the train place not sandwich.

"Let me- I need to save the-!"(Mark)

"No. Maybe this time you'll learn."(Omni-Man)

He said as he forced his son up and held his head in front of an incoming train. Mark was forced to stare and watch as hundreds of people were killed against his body, the train getting derailed in the process. Mark was left covered in blood and guts

"These people are meaningless. They're cavemen without us!"(Omni-Man)

"You're wrong.. I've seen you save people! I've seen you almost die to protect them! Maybe you were a Viltrumite when you came to earth, but you've changed! You were happy here!"(Mark)

"Sure, I was happy, for a time. But I'm loyal to Viltrum- Not this pathetic excus-"(Omni-Man)

Flashback Pause

"I'm sorry, Viltrum? Viltrumite? I'm not familiar with these terms."(Tsukauchi)

"It's what my dad is- He's an alien- I guess I'm half Viltrumite too-? I like to think I'm more human than alien though-"(Mark)

"..Aliens, Universes, asshole murderous superhero parents. What's next? A giant anthropomorphic cat- No offence if Tamakawa is listening!"(Tsukauchi)

"No, the giant cat man was before I fought my dad."(Mark)

"..Excuse me?"(Tsukauchi)
