The final battle against the Cyclonian Empire was ready. Lightning Strike had made the final preparations as they got ready for battle. Soon, Lightning then gathered all the other Sky Knight Squadrons, including the Interceptors. Lightning then began giving a speech.

Lightning Strike: Today we will rid Atmos of the evil of the Cyclonian Empire! All the sacrifices we made has led us to this single battle! We will not falter! We will not give up! No matter what, we will fight on! Stand with me as Sky Knights of Atmos! For today, we fight as one! We fight for a free Atmos!

As Lightning Strike raised his Two Handed Crystal Sword in the air as All Might led all the Sky Knights in a loud cheer for Lightning. After the speech, Lightning Strike led the Sky Knight Alliance into Cyclonian Territory. After a silent trip, the Sky Knight coalition began approaching the Cyclonian Palace.

Starling: This is it, Interceptors. Our chance to end the war. Form up behind me and ready your weapons. Give it everything you have.

The Interceptors soon formed up alongside Starling as a wave of Talon Skimmers prepared to attack the Sky Knights.

Carth: This is where the fun begins.

Starling: Let them pass between us. 

In that moment, an intense battle began in the skies of Terra Cyclonia. Lightning Strike and the Storm Hawks led the charge as both Sky Knights and Cyclonians collided. During the battle, a squadron of Talon Skimmers were chasing O'Niner. 

O'Niner: They're all over me! Someone get them off my tail!

Carth swooped in and shot down the Talon Skimmers chasing after O'Niner. Carth smirks as he shoots down more Talon Skimmers. Soon enough, the Interceptors came across a Cyclonian warship. 

Starling: Interceptors to me! We're taking down that warship!

Argus: I hope you have a plan, Starling! 

Starling: Argus, you take O'Niner and Mason and take out their guns. Carth and I will go for the bridge.

Argus: Copy!

With that, the Interceptors split up with Starling and Carth going for the bridge while Argus led O'Niner and Mason attacked the warship's guns.

Starling: Carth, on my signal, fire on the bridge with everything you have!

Carth: Sounds good to me!

Starling and Carth flew their Skimmers to the bridge of the Cyclonian  warship. Dodging enemy fire, Starling and Carth made the treacherous run to the bridge. Once they got close, Starling and Carth unloaded their weapons onto the bridge, causing a chain reaction which destroys the warship. After destroying the warship, the Interceptors regroup. 

Argus: Lightning's invasion seems to be going as planned. 

Carth: At this rate, we'll be knocking on Anarchis's door before the day is over! 

Starling looked up to see Lightning's Skimmer shooting down several Talon Skimmers. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched Ace get up from the copilot's seat and attacked Lightning Strike and cast him down into the Wastelands. Seeing this horrified Starling. 

Starling: Lightning! 

Carth: What the hell is he doing?!

Without hesitation, the Interceptors piloted their Skimmers towards Ace. Before they could reach him,  Ace then took a red crystal and attached it into Lightning Strike's sword. Ace then unleashes a powerful attack that destroys the majority of the Sky Knights including the Condor. In that moment, the Sky Knight coalition was in chaos. 

Carth: Holy shit! 

Argus: That traitor....he planned this!

O'Niner: What's the plan, Starling? 

Starling surveyed the situation. Lightning Strike and the Storm Hawks were dead and the majority of the Sky Knight fleet was destroyed. She quickly realized that this battle was lost. 

Starling: We need to retreat. 

Carth: Are you serious?! 

Argus: She's right. This battle is lost. The fleet's scattered and we're deep in Cyclonian territory. Staying here would be suicide. 

At this point, the rest of the Interceptors agreed with Starling and Argus. They soon began to follow what little remained of the Sky Knight fleet. Their retreat was soon cut off by a Talon squadron. 

Mason: Looks like the Cyclonians won't make this easy for us!

Starling: I'll lead them away! The rest of you go on! 

Without warning, Starling flew her Skimmer straight to the Talon Skimmers. She was soon engaged in a deadly dogfight against the Skimmers. As she shot two down, a Talon Skimmer shot out one of her wings. 

Starling: Not good!

Starling tried to perform some evasive maneuvers, but the Talon Skimmers proved too slippery. Suddenly, Carth came in and shot down the Talons. 

Carth: Need a hand!

Starling: One of those Talons shot out my wing! I'm losing control! 

Carth took a moment to survey the damage. Starling's Skimmer soon caught on fire. It didn't take long for Starling's Skimmer to lose control. Carth flew by the flaming Skimmer. 

Carth: Get on! I got you! 

Left with no choice, Starling was forced to abandon her Skimmer and jump on Carth's. As she did, her Skimmer is engulfed in a fiery ball and plunges into the Wastelands. 

Carth: Looks like the coast is clear. We better get back with the others before more of them show up. 

With that, Starling and Carth joined up with the Interceptors and the remaining Sky Knights. In that moment, the tide of the war had been turned. The Battle of Terra Cyclonia had ended with a Cyclonian victory. Ace's betrayal and the death of the Storm Hawks presented a great and terrible danger to the Sky Knights. This was the day that Atmos stood still.
