Ash and Paul were watching the crowds of people get on boats to get to their destination. "All Kanto travelers, please come aboard!" An intercom shouted.

Ash chuckled. Paul just smirked. "Ready to go back home, buddy?" Ash questioned Pikachu.

"Chu." Pikachu cried out softly. Paul grinned at their interaction. He was glad that Ash was still friendly towards his Pokemon, despite the madness he still harbors.

"Yeah, me too, I miss Mom. I hope Mom won't be mad." Ash stated. I know she won't be mad. Knowing Mom, she's probably worrying about me. Ash thought as he realized that he terribly missed his Mother.

Paul saw Ash's fallen expression, but he didn't comment on it. He figured that Ash was being moody about leaving his Mother so unexpectedly, which was true. Ash hated leaving his mother, even when he goes on journeys, he double checks up on her. "So, have you confessed to Dawn yet?" Paul asked unexpectedly. Ash was shocked at this.

"How did you know?" This was the only thing that Ash could ask. Paul chuckled. 

"Dawn's the only girl that you would want to hug you, isn't that right?" Paul asked, making Ash's face turn into a blushing mess of red. 

"What about you and Zoey?" Ash shot back, making Paul red as well. Man, I thought I was keeping that a secret. Paul thought. "I've seen you kiss her. Zoey melted into your arms." Ash tells Paul. Paul blushed. He couldn't tell Ash what he and Zoey had done. Zoey panicked when she found out. 

"Yeah, so we're together, so what?" Paul asked, getting defensive.

"Whoa, no need for that! There's nothing wrong with being in love." Ash told Paul. Paul then gazed at the ground. Damn it, would she even want me back? I made her like that and now she's shy. Paul wondered. 

"Ash, can you keep a secret?" Paul asked Ash.

"Of course!" He answered truthfully. 

"Zoe is ......." As Paul told Ash his secret, Ash couldn't help but to glare at Paul. "What? You would've done the same thing I did." Paul was trying to justify his actions, which pissed off Ash.

"Your actions were still inexcusable, Paul.  Instead of doing what you did, I would've stayed with my love." Ash tells Paul, who was deep in thought. He knew that Ash was telling the truth and so, Paul decided on his next course of action.

"Alright, so I'll leave when we get to Kanto. She told me that she would be there." Paul says, staring at the sky in happiness.

"Glad I could help," Ash told the Sinnoh born trainer. Something deep in his mind snapped again and the evilness couldn't help but chuckle. "My love will be mine. I will do everything in my power to keep her with me. I will keep her safe." The evilness in Ash told him. Ash wanted to get rid of the evilness, but the more he fights it, the stronger it gets.

Ash promised himself that he would find a way to get rid of the insanity inside of him, but will it take him over before then? That was what he was mostly worried about. 

A few hours later, they arrived in Kanto. "Pika! Pikachu!" Pikachu spoke for the very first time on the boat. 

"Yeah, buddy, we're home," Ash told Pikachu.
