The beginning got her hurting
She felt like she was burning
Little did she know she was changing
First, her eyes from deep blue to white and blood red
Then her thirst from normal to super abnormal
Though she felt human as she lay on the bed
Her mind was gone, she's no longer the usual

She hears her name
She refuses to open her eyes
Not for shame
But for fear that the light will burn her eyes
"No need to fear", she hears again
With her eyes now open, she sees that fear is vain.
