We were in Goodwitch's class watching Jaune get his ass beat by Cardin.

Cardin: This is the part where you lose.

Jaune: Over my dead-

Cardin knees Jaune in the balls I think can't tell from my angle. Jaune falls down as Cardin raised his mace for the finishing blow.

Glynda: Cardin that's enough. Students, as you can see, Mr. Arc's Aura has now dropped into the red. In a tournament-styled duel, this would indicate that Jaune is no longer fit for battle, and that the official may call the match. Mr. Arc, it's been weeks now. Please try to refer to your Scroll  during combat. Gauging your Aura will help you decide when it's appropriate to attack, or when it is better to move to a more... defensive strategy. He walks of stage.

Glynda: Remember everyone, the Vytal Festival is only a few months away! It won't be long before students from the other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing! Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale!

The bell rings and everyone gets up and heads out of the classroom. I look back at Jaune with a feeling that he feels useless. I was brought back to reality by Peter of course.

Peter: This Festival sounds amazing what's it about?

Ruby: It's about unity if I'm correct.

Peter: What is all going to be there?

Yang: There will be food, games, and a epic tournament between the other academies at the end.

When she said that I got a vision of Beacon in flames, a giant dragon, and Pyrrha dieing.

Y/n: (Thought) I not letting that happen.

Weiss: Y/n, are you ok? Your eyes went all white for a moment.

Ruby: Another vision what was this one about.

I didn't say anything just shook my head.

Ruby: It was bad wasn't it.

Y/n: Yes it was.

Ruby: You always find a way to avoid the bad.

Mini timeskip

We are in the cafeteria listening to Nora's story. Peter and Yang are intrigued by it. Me, Ruby, and Neo are listening while we eat.

Nora: So! There we were, in the middle of the night...

Ren: It was day.

Nora: We were surrounded by Ursai...

Ren: They were Beowolves.

Nora: Dozens of them!

Ren: Two of 'em.

Nora: But they were no match... And in the end, Ren and I took them down and made a boatload of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs!

Ren: (sighs) She's been having this recurring dream for nearly a month now.

Peter: Yeah you're being bullied. And I would know cause I was bullied too.

Jaune: Name one time bullied me.

Yang: He knocked your books down.

Peter: Happened to me.

Pyrrha: Opened your shield in the doorway and got you stuck.

Y/n: Which I had to help you out of.

Ruby: He shoved you in a locker and launched it off school grounds.

Jaune: I didn't land that far from the school.

Y/n: You landed in a lake in the middle of the emerald forest. You were soaked when you got back.

Neo: (Giggling)

???: Owww.

We all turned our attention to the cry of pain to see a bunny faunus getting her ears pulled by Cardin and his team. I was about to get up and deal with him but was surprised that Peter was already over there kicking him in the face and sending him onto another table. The rest of his team quickly got there leader and left. I saw Peter and the bunny girl talking for a bit before coming back over here. As he got back Jaune decided to leave.

Timeskip

I was currently in Doctor Oobleck listening but not following him. I don't want to get dizzy. As he talks about Faunus.

Oobleck: Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution or more popularly known as the Faunus War, humankind was quite, quite adamant about centralizing Faunus population in Menagerie. Now! While this must feel like ancient history to many of you, it is imperative to remember that these are relatively recent events! Why, the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen to this day!

He zooms around the classroom more, sipping his coffee again before continuing to zoom and talk.

Oobleck: Now! Have any among you been subjugated or discriminated because of your Faunus heritage?

A few people put their hands up including the bunny girl I now know as Velvet from what Peter told me. In my opinion someone may have a crush.

Oobleck: Dreadful, simply dreadful! Remember, students, it is precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence! I mean, I mean, I mean just look at what happened to White Fang! Now, which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorize to be the turning point in the third year of the War? (He notices a hand is raised) Yes?

Weiss: The battle at Fort Castle!

Oobleck: Precisely! And, who can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over General Lagune's forces?

I notice Cardin with a paper football and flicked it towards a sleeping Jaune. I just have my telekinesis send it back at him.

Cardin: Hey.

Oobleck: Ahh Mr. Winchester finally participating in class excellent, excellent! What is the answer?

Cardin: I know it's a lot easier to train a animal then a soldier.

I could tell by Oobleck shaking his head he did not like his answer.

Pyrrha: You're not the most open-minded of individuals, are you, Cardin?

Cardin: What? You got a problem?

Pyrrha: No, I have the answer! It's night vision. Many Faunus are known to have nearly-perfect sight in the dark.

Cardin growls at the correct response.

Blake: General Lagune was inexperienced, and made the mistake of trying to ambush the Faunus in their sleep. His massive army was outmatched, and the general was captured. Perhaps if he'd paid attention in class, he wouldn't have been remembered as such a failure.

Cardin gets up with a angered look on his face.

Oobleck: Mr. Winchester! Please take your seat.

He finally notices Jaune asleep.

Oobleck: Mr. Arc!

Jaune wakes up quite startled.

Jaune: The answer is 21.

Oobleck: Very funny. You and Mr. Winchester can both see me after class for additional readings.

Jaune: Oohhhh...

Oobleck: (zooming away from Jaune) Now! Moving on!

Timeskip

It was the day for the field trip to forever fall forest. I was walking beside Ruby and Weiss while our teams were behind us. Jaune was in the back carrying supplies for team CRDL. Yeah I know what's going on I brushed against him and saw that he is being blackmailed. I want to help but he needs to learn to stick up for himself.

Glynda: Yes, students, the forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sight-see. Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so.

Jaune bumps into Cardin rattling the jars.

Glynda: Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at 4 o'clock. Have fun!

Jaune tries to sneak away to his team quite loud might I add but was easily caught by the asshole of a blackmailer himself.

Douche: Come on buddy.

I walk off with my team and Ruby's team. We found nice patch of trees near each other Neo stabs a tree and puts her jar under it while I slice one with a axe I conjured and did the same to another for Peter. I finish filling my jar and decide to go and check up on Jaune. I started heading in the direction that Jaune and team CRDL went. I soon found him on the ground with six filled jars.

Jaune: I think I'm allergic to this stuff.

Cardin: Greeeeat, great, great. So, Jaune, I bet you're asking yourself, 'Why did my buddy Cardin ask me to collect six jars of tree sap when there's only five of us?'

Jaune: (nodding) That is one of the many questions I have asked myself today, yes.

Cardin: Well, come with me, and you'll find out.

Jaune moans and gulps in worry. They walk over and to a nearby perch overlooking everyone.

Jaune: Cardin, wh-what's going on?

Cardin: Payback.

Jaune: Pyrrha...?" Wh-what are you-?"

Cardin: That's the girl. Red-haired know-it-all, thinks she's so smart. Alright, boys...

He pulls out a buzzing cardboard box with a large "W" written on its sides.
Cardin: Last night, old Jaune here managed to round up an entire box of Rapier Wasps, and now, we're gonna put him to work.

Russel grabs Jaune by the shoulder, who barely laughs in nervousness.

Cardin: Now, according to one of the essays you wrote for me last week, these nasty things loooove sweets. I'm thinking it's time we teach her a thing or two.

The members of CRDL get up. Cardin offers his hand to Jaune, only to painfully yank him up on his feet and shove the jar into his grasp.

Cardin: And you're gonna do it.

Jaune: Do what?

Cardin: Hit her with the sap! Either that, or I'll have a chat with Goodwitch, and you'll be on the first airship out of Beacon.

Y/n: (Thought) Don't do it Jaune.

I could tell he was contemplating it by him looking back and forth at the jar and Pyrrha.

Jaune: No.

Cardin: What did you say?

Jaune: I said... No.

He throws the jar at Cardin covering his chestplate in the sap.

Y/n: (Thought) That a boy Jaune.

Cardin: Oh you've done it now.

He gets picked up by Sky and Dove. Cardin hits him in the stomach picks him up and throws him.

Cardin: You know that wasn't very smart Jauney boy. I'm gonna make sure they send you back to mommy in teeny tiny pieces.

Jaune: I don't care what you do to me, but you are not messing with my team.

Cardin: What? You think talk like that makes you tough? You think you're a big strong man now?

Y/n: (Thought) I bet you think you are Cardin for beating someone who isn't fighting back.

He hits him again except there was a bright light and Cardin is holding his hand when it fades and Jaune was fine.

Cardin: Let's see how much of a man you really are...

I heard a low growl same for the others as a Ursa major came out of the forest clearly able to smell the sap on Cardin's armor.

Dipshit 1: That's a big ursa.

I couldn't tell who said it but the three dipshits ran. While Cardin gets swiped and has his weapon knocked away.

Y/n: (Thought) He deserves this.

But before it can deliver the blow Jaune blocked it with his shield and swung his sword making it stumble back. It swings at him but he dodges to the side he jumps over another swipe and gets hit in the air. He charges at it but gets hit away. They charge each other and he has his shield to low to block it's strike but it starts glowing black and it gets decapitated by Jaune. I look over to see Ruby, Weiss and Pyrrha. I start making my over to them.

Ruby: Magnets are cool too.

Y/n: Well that was something.

Weiss and Ruby: Y/n.

They both come over and kiss me.

Y/n: Come on let's go.

Ruby: Shouldn't we tell them what happened?

Y/n: Nah Jaune needed a win.

With that we head back to Beacon.

Bacca: Well I finally have all the armor for solstice of hero's and that sparrow. So now I have more time to work on my books.

Ruby: But you promised that you would do crucible objectives for a friend in exchange of him game sharing shadowkeep with you. And another guy is paying you ten bucks to do solar kills for the luna' s howl quest.

Bacca: I know but I'm gonna get burnt out on Destiny if a keep playing it. But a deals a deal so I will do those things in time. But for now hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you guys next chapter see ya.
